No hotel/airline points given (as compared to other Ho-Jos) because "it was booked through Hotels.com". Nice staff/people. Everything worked in the room. A bit aged, but quiet and comfortable rest with a complimentary breakfast.

Hotel is rundown and not taken care of.

WE HAD A WONDERFUL STAY IN THE HOTEL. THE POOL WAS OPENED FOR US EVEN THOUGH THE WEATHER WAS NOT FAVORABLE AS IT WAS RAINING A LITTLE BIT.

Not so good, very poor on everything.I'm not staing again at that hotel.

The diretiest hotel I ever seen couldn't sleep at all

The motel was aged, however you can see they are trying to up date it. It's not a five star, nor is the price, so it was clean and there where no problems with the reservations. Breakfeast is plain - Coffee, donuts, make your own waffels. However, there are better resturants right down the street. For a short stay it was OK and served it's purpose. A resting place at night.

The room was okay but there where some kind of mild dew on the shower curtain and we roaches in the room and the bed felt like a sponge not one howard johnson best spots.

Definitely not the nicest place I've ever stayed, but it was good enough. Stores and restaurants close by; close to Atison Lake; close to the highway. Has a pool. The overall place could use a "facelift," though.

Overall, we were pleased. The hotel was indeed in need of some real maintenance; when my boyfriend closed the bathroom door for me because I couldnt, the towel hanging bar on an adjacent wall swung down from its horizontal position to a vertical one. That being said, we got a lot for our money. Clean, Comfortable king size bed, sofa, outdated television, breakfast included, spacious room with a clean bathroom, even a kitchenette with sink, coffee maker, refrigerator (complete with many scratches on the door surface). Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to use the pool like we wanted to, but it looked very nice and there were already several people enjoying it the morning that we left. This hotel is sort of in the middle of nowhere, but as a one night stopover before we reached our destination it was great. The check-in and checkout procedure was quick and painless and the staff was friendly. As long as you're not expecting a hotel with the most luxurious and up to date of amenities you should be satisfied.

As far as sleeping, it was just fine. The swimming pool looked very nice and I was sorry I was not able to take advantage of it. The room decor is rather outdated and dark and my bedspread (non-smoking room) had a cigarette hole in it. TV cable is excellent. The bathroom did not have enough towels stocked - only a wash cloth and 2 hand towels which I did not realize until I was out of the shower. As a woman travelling alone, I was disappointed that the door did not have the security bar (only half of it). I did report my concern. There was a deadbolt but the maid could still enter if I was sleeping or showering. Outside the staircase were pallets stacked with something that looked like it had been there quite a while. Otherwise the staff was accomodating and for the price I felt I received adequate accomodations.

It was great. Laid by the pool and had a great time.

Was a little diapointed with the swiming pool, could have been kept cleaner. The outtside could use a good paint job. And bathroom needed to be fixed

The door had a hole next to a door knob which you can look in and out. Door latch was broken. We were unable to turn on 2 of the light in the room. Bathroom fan was not working. It was cheap but I don't think I will ever stay here again unless this place was updated with some decent everyday needs such as solid doors and locks.

Not handicap accessible. Piles of smelly garbage at the bottom of stairs. The people in the office were pleasant. There was loud partying going on in the parkinglot and rooms very noisy.

The hotel room itself was very clean. It's the first time in a long time that I didn't get a sore throat when waking up the next morning, so it was definitely not moldy or dusty. The place looks a little run down from the outside, but provides normal service for the price range. Basic breakfast - nothing fancy, the breakfast area was clean & replenished consistently. The hotel's lobby smells moldy and could use some basic cleaning & easy renovation like new drapes / updated furniture. Employees were friendly & helped when asked. TV in the room is not flat screen & a few channels didn't work properly - but adequate for the price range. Location is good if you plan to explore Wharton State Park which is right up the road.

it could use remodeling but overall still clean. clean pool the staff was very helpful and courtious. I would go there again

hotel is in the middle of no where. The swimming pool wasn't even filled and wouldn't be filled until 2 days into our stay. Eventually after they filled it, I'm assuming they forgot to clean it. Wet cement was on the side of the poolwith no caution sign. Me, my girl friend, and several other people almost slipped on it. Aside from the pool, there was trash behind the dressers, fridge and microwave. The other issue that bothered me is that our hair dryer in our room didn't work, so I called the front desk to fix the issue. After an hour, I decided to walk to the front desk and the lady said the repair man was in someone else's room. It completely ruined my girlfriend birthday because her hair was too wet to curl, therefore we had to stay in that night. Our remote didn't work on the television either.

We stayed at the HJ Hammonton to be close to relatives we were visiting that live there. Only real problem was the electrical outlets in my room that didn't work. All the outlets only had one socket that worked. The maid service seemed very efficient. The hotel managers were very friendly. They let us use the breakfast area even though we showed up a bit after 10 am. The breakfast area was always clean and well stocked.

the hotel didnt have any heat and we was cold

It was a very convenient location for me. The staff was nice and helpful. The pool was nice but dirty on the bottom and the room looked like it had not been occupied or cleaned in awhile. There were cob webs on the chair and in the corners and alot of dust on the bottom of the lamp. And I hate to say it but some kind of bug by the TV. It is located in a good area, I just was upset because it could have been cleaner.

These rooms are very outdated, needs serious upgrading. Broken door latches, strong musky smell. Quiet but needs serious attention!!!!! Doesnt match pics at all!!!!

But then I never expected it to be. The room was worn, but clean, quiet and a good price. There was no dead bolt lock on the entrance door so I propped a chair underneath the handle. Neighborhood was okay, but "getting worn" just like the hotel. Good hotel to stay at if you are seriously counting pennies and want clean and comfortable, Pool looked well kept but had no lifeguard on duty. Special requests such as extra towels were honored without complaint. I would stay here again and recommend to my penny pinching friends.

According to mapquest the distance from the hotel to Atlantic City was 3 miles...NOT! It was about a 25 minute drive from Atlantic..You have to pay two different tolls going back and forth from AC to the hotel..After checking in at the lobby I knew this would be one long night ahead. The inside spoke for itself. I would suggest a major upgrade. The outside of the hotel was dirty. Half of the hotel is occupied by RESIDENTS. Yes, people who actually pay to live there. There were shoes outside of peoples door as if it were a private porch. Very unpresentable. I would also suggest a MAJOR PRESSURE WASH on the building & stairs. The inside was .......OK. The shower was not washed out. The toilet appeared clean as well as the sink. The air conditioner worked okay. The fridge did not work... I pulled the sheets back before spraying disinfectant spray ONLY to notice strands of hair on the sheets....So as you can guess...I did not sleep under the blanket. Instead I slept on a towel...I could not wait for the morning to come; AND when it did come I was waken up by LOUD music from a RESIDENT next door..... I would not suggest this hotel to anyone who has standards and resonable expectations.

The hotel wasn't so bad from the outside but once I got into my non smoking room at around midnight it reacked like cigarretes the sheets had cigarret holes in them. I couldn't sleep that first night at all the smell was so bad. The next morning I went to the office and complained about it they told me they had to put in some machine to clean out the air I agreed but didn't know I would have to stay out of the room for an hour. Thank goodness they had a pool. Once cleaned the room was better and the rest of my stay was good. They definetely have to clean out those rooms a lot better linen and all before the next guest arrive I happen to be a very paitient person not sure that anyone else would have taken it so easy....the smell was very, very bad...

We stayed here one night in June while we were canoeing in the Pinelands (highly recommended!). The place was clean and comfortable, breakfast was satisfactory, and the clerks were friendly and helpful. If you need a place for a short stay, you can't go wrong.

We experienced two terrible nights that we won't forget and would like to pass along. 1 st. night was saturday of Memorial day weekend which started of with the bed bugs and some tiny bugs climbing all over your body, you can't see them but you can feel climbing all over your body and they followed you home which i still can feel them at this moment. It very ..very ..disturbing. 2nd night was not only the same bugs but at aound 2 a.m, the Carbon Monoxide alarm went off scaring us for half an hour before the front office told us to pull the unit off the cieling which didn't guarantee that we are safe either. So Horrible!!!!

We left our sign outside the room at 12 noon. We returned at 2A.M. and our beds werent made and no additional towels. When we asked for towels they had to scrounge around to find any. Even then no wash clothes. They insisdted that the room had been made.

It was a comfort to know that I was staying in a clean, well kept hotel with a great selection for breakfast and internet. I personally prefer plumper pillows but outside of that, it was a great stay.

outdoor pool is kind of inaccessible in the winter, so if you're staying more than a few days, nowhere to work out. clean, nice continental breakfast, clean rooms.
