My favorite thing about this hotel is the comfortable beds! It was worth driving a little out of the way from our son's house for the comfort of the beds! It's on the east side of the Willamette River, fairly close to the airport, just off the I-205. Easy access to freeway. Older hotel, but clean and nice, friendly staff. Good breakfast included. Keep in mind, it is a budget hotel, but a good one. If you are on a tight budget, you'll get your money's worth.

This is a nice hotel. The hotel is located around a lot of stores.

We were visiting family and location was great. Close to Target. 1st room had toilet stopped up. 2nd room had toilet that ran all the time. PBS did not work. In room movies were expensive. No frig in room as advertised. Breakfast was generous and good. Good coffee. Computer w/printer available to print boarding pass. Rooms pretty quiet. Pillows lumpy & old, since one of us has asthma, picked up four dollar pillows @Target to use.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel...it is an older hotel but they do a good job of keeping it looking nice and clean...Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable and I loved the pillows...wish I had some for home...hope you have the same great experience we had when we stayed!...

This hotel is very convenient for Portland Airport. It is a short drive away. Alternatively the hotel has a complementary shuttle to and from the airport. There are several restaurants within walking distance. Hotel rates are very resaonable - and I got a genuine discount for reserving online with Hotels.com.

Room was large enough for us, Clean, friendly stay, will stay again. they need soda machines instead of purhcasing at desk.

Just stayed at a Fairfield in MO. This was as good and better in some respects. Better ambience, better breakfast buffet, better room amenities. Service was exceptional. And real bargain through Hotels.com.

We used this hotel to stay before flying to CA for a long weekend. Free parking, breakfast, and shuttle to the airport made it a great deal. The staff were friendly and there was no problem getting back to the hotel after our return flight.

clean, quiet, within walking distance to lots of good restaurants, super friendly staff, good breakfast.

Can't get much better for the price. Not a hotel if you want to be in walking distance to the sights/restaurants in Portland, but I had a car so that was not a big deal. Very clean and comfortable for considerably less money than almost everywhere else! Nice free breakfast in the morning, too.

Very little parking, had to park on the street. Room had a funny smell to it, almost like too much air freshener had been used.

The hotel has updated the rooms some, but the hall and stairs smelled bad. The rooms were clean, but the hotel isn't that good overall. The area is rough with bars and clubs next door, and the halls were loud one night as people came back from them. I would recommend staying at a hotel by the airport, they are only 10 minutes farther away.

The hotel is clean, quiet and comfortable. Easy to get on I-205 to get to the City. Excellent staff and a nice breakfast made for a great stay.

Great hotel for a quick stay. Staff was very friendly, fresh cookies in the evening, convenient shopping nearby. Breakfast was so-so.

The Room has few problems: Bathroom door, toilet cover is too noise and spiders & spiders webs in the room (needs more maintenace)

Starting with the friendly welcome and room assignment, this hotel was great. The room we got faced the street, but it wasn't too loud - we had the windows open for the beautiful breeze. The room had a new flat screen LCD TV which was amazing compared to the other places we'd stayed in this trip. The bathroom was clean and the place was overall well maintained. Good location too. Very near restaurants, shopping and Starbucks (in Target.) We were especially pleased with the breakfast. They had non-dairy stuff for the mrs. and eggs/biscuits and a whole lot of other stuff.

This location was perfect. Disabled room was very handy. Good breakfast choices. Friendly staff.

My wife and I recently spent two nights at this Ramada. Our room was clean and confortable and the staff were courteous and helpful. This is not a luxury hotel but it has everything you need. The breakfast is also quite substantial with hot and cold items. The hotel is right off the highway and there are numerous amenities right across the street. I would highly recommend this hotel to travellers looking for quality on a budget.

Easy on & off freeway access. Normally easy to get to downtown Portland and back but with bridge work going on in Portland can be difficult right now. Flip lock (not door lock) was broken on room door when I checked in. Bathroom door was difficult to close. No laundry facility, would be nice to be able to do a load of laundry while staying for extended visit. Neighborhood is a little sketchy at night, but all in all, a good value.

Hotel is cheap and convenient. Paid for 2 queen beds but got two double beds for 3 nights. Arrived 1st night late. Asked hotel for change the next morning but said none available. Left for sight-seeing and called Hotels.com to complain. They called and they said the hotel could change rooms at 3:00 PM when we were doing sight seeing. Who have time to wait around for room change? We should have been checked in with 2 queen beds to begin with or at least let us know before we left the next morning instead of telling me none available.

Overall it was a nice place. I didn't need to walk around the neighborhood so it didn't matter that there was a strip joint just a block away. The breakfast was very good for the price of the hotel - better than most. Not the hotel's fault but there was a large group from Hawaii and New Zealand who came down every morning and occupied the breakfast room completely for almost the entire time it was open. Very rude behavior but, as i said, not the hotels fault - I guess they could have suggested that the group move to the lobby when finished eating so that other guests could have tables. My wife and I had to eat off our laps in the lobby for three out of our five days stay. In spite of my leaving a tip for the maid every day she shorted us on towels, left no coffee for two days in a row although the room was kept clean. If you're looking for luxury this is not the place but for a reasonable price it's clean and the room is quiet at night. We were at the very end of a very long hallway and that could have accounted for the quiet. We just used it to sleep at night and it was fine.

I was originally looking for a hotel downtown, but I waited until too late to find something in my price range, so I unhappily settled on this place. After reading the reviews, I was a bit worried. But I was completely satisfied with the hotel; it was better than I was expecting. As a single female, I was completely comfortable here. The place is a solid middle-of-the-road, nondescript place to stay for one or two nights. Convenient to Hwy. 205, 10-15 minute drive to downtown. Seemed to be reasonably up to date, and well maintained outside and in. Across the street from a Home Depot/Target mall complex. The room was quite clean, looked like it had been newly refurnished relatively recently. There were some stains on the rug (barely visible; I only noticed them b/c I'd read another review that commented on stains on the rug) and a stain on the shower ceiling. Other than that, I didn't notice anything else lacking in regards to cleanliness. The bed linens were crisp and spotless. The breakfast selection looked pretty decent, above and beyond the usual dry cereal and bagel selection (although I just glanced at it, I didn't eat there). I was disappointed though that there wasn't any fridge or microwave in the room. I'm in Portland for the night a couple times a year, and I would stay here again b/c the price is good in relation to the short distance to downtown.

Hall lighting showed underneath the door. Not enough off street parking.

I booked a large, king bed room at the Ramada Portland South, and I paid for this room IN ADVANCE through hotels.com. When I got there I was given a much smaller room with a queen bed. The clerk at the front desk, Tasha, seem totally unconcerned about this and was no help. When I asked to speak to the hotel manager Tasha said she was on vacation and could not be reached....how convenient. The hotel is clean and well maintained, but what they did to me amounts to fraud. So I say to anyone thinking about booking a large room in this hotel....you have been warned!

The Ramada I-205 was the perfect location for our trip to Portland. My husband and I did a lot of sightseeing in all directions. The accessibility of the hotel, contrast to the freeways was great. The most memorable thing of the lodging was the courtious we were treated by ALL the staff. We will definately use you again

I found this place to be clean and comfortable, pretty bare bones. But all I wanted was a decent place to stay that was easily accessible to where I needed to be for my business trip.

The best part of the stay was the front desk gal. She was very nice and funny to boot. I will stay here again. Clean rooms, breakfast area well stocked. Everyone was very good and professional including the maid service.

This hotel is very close to family we were visiting so was great for our needs. This was second time there and we will plan to return again.

Room was clean. No microwave or fridge. You can see the hallway with the door closed. The bed was sqeaky every time you turn. The breakfast was very good.

This room was a great value. The bed was decent, I liked all the mirrors, (great full length mirrored closet doors) the shower head was great, and check in was very easy with the friendly and cheerful front desk woman. One negative was the road noise. If you don't want to hear traffic, this is not the place for you. The room was very small, but since it was just me I didn't mind-- it was kind of cozy in a way being that small. Overall it was a great place of a brief stay, kind of a no-frills place but the quality was good for the price.

The staff were very nice. When we complained that our first room smelled slightly like cigarette smoke (even though it was a nonsmoking room), the clerk did not hesitate to very graciously offer another room, and that room was fine. The staff also willingly stored a bag for us for several hours after we checked out. The breakfast is huge - all kinds of hot and cold items.

This hotel is a dump. The first room they gave me was smelly, the linens on the squishy uncomfortable bed were stained and the walls looked like there had been a flood or water damage of some sort. Bathrooms ar.e outdated and worn out. Over all the rooms are small and cramped. Front desk people are polite but that seems to be the only redeeming quality. I didn't feel at all comfortable and asked for a different room. The second room was okay I suppose for the cost of the stay

The rooms are pretty dated and not quiet at all. I could hear too much of the room next to me and the people walking through the halls. Unless you have a need to be in that particular area, I would pick a different hotel.

Close to restaurants and freeway access.

Other than being small and confining the room was adequate, it was clean, bed was comfortable and the shower was strong, which is important after a long day of travel. Drawbacks, no refrigerator in room and coffee maker was under the night stand. Had to wait for coffee until I went down to breakfast, which was good. I don't know if the size of room was because I reserved through Hotel.com at a special rate or if this was normal. First time using service.

GREAT new beds! Soooooooooo comfortable!!

The room was fine. The staff was very good. The breakfast was just OK, not bad, but not good.
