Decided to do a last second trip to mammoth to get some last second snowboarding in. This place was a reasonable place for a good price.

Decided last minute to ski mammoth for a couple days this was the cheapest booking on the website. Just like everyone said in the reviews it's perfect for just a place to stay before skiing. If you plan on spending more time at the hotel spend a little more money. The hot tub was very relaxing after a day on the mountain

Well located, low budget accomodations. If you maintain lowered expectations from the onset, then all should be fine.

This is just a basic hotel room in an older hotel. The location is great and the service is great. The manager/owner is really friendly & accommodating. The room was clean & has a fridge & microwave. You can't beat it for the price.

If you're looking for a place to crash before heading to the mountain, this motel will suffice. If you're looking for anything beyond that, take your money elsewhere...

For the rate, it's a good value compared to other choices. Recommended if it's only a couple of you and you just want a place to sleep.

The location of the hotel was great for dining and being able to catch the bus up to the mountain. You definitely pay for what you get when it comes to hotels. The room was and it was a decent size big enough for two people. The real down side was the uncomfortable beds and pillows. We woke up each morning with aches and pains from the bed and pillow so bring your own pillow for comfort. It was also great to have a hot tub on site after a long day of skiing but the color of the water was a little suspicious. Overall I would give this hotel and average rating.

The room was clean but the mattress was old, two pillows only (one ok, the other like sack of cement). We left early in the morning while it was dark. There was no lighting of the hallway or stairway. The room could use some updating. But the service was excellent.

Black mold on ceiling of bathroom; bathtub drain was SLOW--had to stand in water before shower was over; contential breakfast was cookies, donuts muffins, coffee and tea with milk in a gallon jug sitting on the counter; registration area, room and exterior of hotel very run-down--would not stay there again if in the area.

Headed up for openning day and needed a room for the night after a day on the hill and night out with friends. Staff was nice at check in, heater worked, sheets and room were clean, warm water, tv worked! Was perfect if you need a place to sleep if your staying longer and going to be in the room for an extended time you might want to upgrade. But I think it still gets the job done! Great rate and good place to stay to save money! Would stay there again...

Basic and spartan but many ammenities (free wifi, microwave,coffee etc. Room heating and cooling fan is annoyingly loud. Lucky did not need it at night.

Stay was OK, but registration was slow and not well coordinated. Lights were not turned on early enough after dark. Would maybe consider another stay.

Good service. Sad breakfast. Location is very convenient.

Not Happy.

For the price, I've had better experiences. Room was adequate but TV didn't work initially. Called and they promptly sent someone. Had to call a 2nd time and then it worked. Window was very difficult to lock but maint. got it secured. Breakast needs improvement.

Had a two queen bedroom and it was HUGE. Very comfortable for 3 large men with biking gear. Mini fridge and microwave in room were convenient. Hot tub was down during our stay, but they had hot tub available at Quality Inn across the street. Beds were not very comfortable, but after a couple days of riding I was so tired I could have slept on anything.

Good service and comfortable room .We slept very well . Well-worked air conditioner , spacious room ,quiet . Be close to the gas station and subway .

Couldn't take shower because someone else did first. Alarm clock plug wouldn't stay in outlet. Faceplates missing.

They had a very good bed and bathroom. The desk and extra couch were also very nice. Did not use the pool but it looked very clean. WIFI was free and the ice was close. The only thing it needs is a larger TV screen. Almost impossible to see from the bed.

it was a okay hotel, quiet and close to everything.

The place was filthy!! The bed was hard, the pillows were flat, there was only facial soap, I refused to walk on the carpet even in socks because you could see the dirt and it had an odd musty odor. I couldn't wait to get out of that pit.

Second stay at this location. Great economy lodge. Manager is a really nice guy very helpful. Great rooms for the two pugs we travel with. Located in the middle of mammoth, convenient to get around to different places. Not a real luxury place but for the price we will return.

Love the city, Hotel needs some work. Pretty dumpy !!!!!!!!!!!!! Loved the animal logos border on the walls, NOT !!!!!

We were passing through Mammoth on our way to Yosemite; this is a total budget hotel, nothing fancy, a tad tacky, and clean enough. Not the best choice for an extended stay in the area.

The hotel is a bit run-down in general. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was clean but well worn.

nice quiet place to stay.....small room...but a good place to stay after camping out for 2 days.

dont expect much. this looked to be a very old building. we were in there from 10PM to 8Am, so we did not bother much about it. but if given a chance i would avoid staying out here. we planned this at the last moment so i took what i got. but i will not miss this hotel.

Overall, this room was fine for our purposes- which was to have some place to crash after a long day of hiking. If that is all you need, this place is fine. If you are looking for a more comfortable experience, this is not the place for you. Unlike other reviews that I read, our sheets were perfectly clean and white. A few towels were dingy and the grout in the bathroom was a bit gunky, but overall the room/bathroom seemed clean. Cleanliness was ok, but the place was generally run down and poorly put together.

Everything was fine. The television was out of date, however.

Would never go bak to Econolodge. The rooms were disgusting, old and smelled. The lights on the ceiling didn't have covers. The light next to the bed didn't even turn on. Could feel springs in bed. Let's just say it was so dirty I wouldn't walk around without my shoes on, stripped the bed and used our own blankets and took a shower with flip flops on. Don't waste your money on this overly priced dump.

Very comfortable, a great value for money. The location is great. We strongly recommend.

We arrived about 9pm and all the parking had gone. So we had to park on the dirt in front of the hotel. The people who own the hotel were nice and check in was fine. The problem is the rooms. Mammouth Lakes is cold and only thing to heat the room was an old noisy and smelly wall heater unit. It is so noisy you can't sleep with it on and the coners are so thin that you basically freeze in the night. The room does smell really badly of cleaning products. The smell never goes away. If you have asthma or breathing problems I would not suggest staying here. For the money I think you can find better. Didn't stick around for breakfast as it was so uncomfortable we left early to get away. Plus side is there is a nice pizza place opposite which is open till 12am and a gas station next door. But there are alternative, better lodges on the same round which I would suggest trying instead.

Value for money was generally very good, however the included breakfast was a joke.

room was boarderline clean, pillows were awful room needs remodeling, carpet awful arrangement unwieldly. tv cabinet had to be moved in order to view breakfast continental or not, no toast, tables to sit at , etc

Bed was terrible , the only updated feature was the lock on the door, however the security chain was only partially on. Poor value foot theoney even for mammoth lake. Also, no coffee until 7.
