Good experience

This hotel has a unique architecture. A large (not super large like an Embassy Suites) open central staircase lets you see just about every part of the hotel. The hotel is quiet and comfortable with soft and pleasing touches. The breakfast choices could have been better, but I don't want that blemish to detract from the overall pleasantness of this hotel.

I stayed here for one night, and I really enjoyed it. I had an audition for X-factor at Nassau Coliseum. It was only about 8 minutes away, which was very convenient for me. I called dozens of hotels prior to my stay and this was the only hotel that had a minimum check-in age of 18. I didn't like the area too much, too quiet for me; I'm used to more life. The hotel was very clean, they had free coffee and tea in the room and in the lobby; which was very nice. It was a tad expensive, but you really do get what you pay for. I recommend this hotel 100% to anyone staying in the area.

Billed as a "Boutique Hotel", it's not quite there yet. Overall the stay was enjoyable, and I would stay there again, but several little annoyances need to be addressed before it deserves a glowing review. The heating / air conditioning is seasonally mandated by the hotel; A guest can only select the level of heat or air conditioning, not switch to the desired mode. My April visit ranged from very cool evenings to very warm daytime temps. I had to open the windows to get any cool air into the room. Unfortunately, opening the windows allows unwanted noise in as well. One advantage of this seasonal system however; The typical in-room combo heat/ac unit that is quite noisy was not used. Overall, I prefer the seasonal system for its quietness. Breakfast is billed as a "full breakfast", but in fact was less complete than the Continental Breakfast found at La Quinta and many other hotels. Metal knives and forks, but plastic spoons that did not work well with hot cereal. Upon requesting a metal spoon I was begrudgingly told that the hotel had "run out." The room was comfortable, but the deadbolt lock on the door did not close and the toilet seat was loose. Upon my request, both were services within minutes, but the lock was still very difficult to close even after it was serviced. As said earlier, I would definitely stay at The Roslyn Hotel again. With very little effort it could become a truly great property.

Very nice accommodations. decor is upscale. breakfast is great for being included. Located in quaint small town in the hills.

The hotel and the area was absolutely beautiful. I am totally disabled and they had a massage chair there that usually I cannot use because they are too hard. I don't know why I decided to try the chair other than I was in so much pain, I figured why not. This relieved so much pressure and pain I couldn't believe it. I think I may even have fallen asleep on it. On the bad side, every single time I went to the front desk, NO ONE was ever in sight. There was no bell to ring to alert them of my presence. There were two instances where two people were behind the curtain talking about their personal business (what they were doing or had done the previous evening or that evening). They completely ignored my presence and politely I said "excuse me" only to be told they would be with me momentarily while they continued their personal discussion. I was at that desk for 7 minutes, which is TOTALLY UNEXCEPTABLE!!! Another issue I felt was that you have shuttle service to the airport but not to the train station. I found this very odd. It does make me have second thoughts of returning there for my stay next month. The price for the area was reasonable but for being put on "hold" while people discuss their personal lives while I, a paying patron, had to stand and wait? To me, I would rather pay a higher price and even possibly not as nice as a hotel than be ignored.

nice place.. only worth it if it's on sale. otherwise it's over priced. it's outdated. the air conditioning didn't work in the room and I had to open windows with no screens for air.

It was quiet, clean and very simple. However, the rooms have no AC in the winter despite being overheated, so it was a very uncomfortable sleep.

For the price paid, this hotel was a step above most. Comfortable room, with good WiFi access. Attentive staff. Dinner order in the lounge did get messed up several times, but staff worked to correct the problems. I would return to this hotel when I am in the area.

Appreciated the availability of help yourself coffee service at any of the day.

It was just what we wanted, near to restaurants that we could walk to and a fair price. Also appreciated the easy parking

This is my second stay at this hotel and. Wuld happily recommend this hotel

Worked out perfectly for a quick stay. Went to a concert at Nassau Coliseum and stayed here.

i checked in on a sunday, no food but there was food nearby. Friendly staff, not many there though. Clean, cozy, safe, free WiFi, complmentary breakfast is basic, not bad, and parking is free.***Beware, hotel has stairs, no ramp to bring your luggage to the lobby. I did not see anyone who could help.

The lobby was beautiful. I was disappointed with the room. it felt old and worn. Hotel staff were helpful.

The hotel shows better in their pictures. The staff was very nice, but for the price I think it could have been nicer. The appearance of the room linens gives you the impression that the room is dirty. The bed cover does not match the curtains and when we pulled down the bed cover the pillowcase had an OLD stain on it that looked like it had been washed. It was disgusting... throw it out if the stain does not come out when washed. It is a very old hotel and I thought that it could have had some updating. The windows are old and there was a draft coming in the window so we had to keep the heat up high all night and the room still was not over heated. The complimetary breakfast was good.

Hotel was top-rate. Only drawback was no food or lounge service on Sundays.

On the face of it, it looked good although I asked for a large single bed and received two small ones. They offered to switch but I was tired. They claim the preference showed the latter on the reservation. I woke up every morning with a stuffed nose and headache. I think the rugs need a steam cleaning. Included breakfast had stale bagels on several days. When I checked out, the staff didn't ask about my stay. Maybe they don't care?

I enjoy busy, quaint, but quiet when you need it places. The Roslyn Claremont Hotel and surrounding township have plenty to offer in walking distance. Turn left down the main street and there are any number of delightful shops and a beautiful park with streams and ponds.Conveniently situated between Garden City and Port Washington.

It was brief but pleasant enough

Good breakfast, bar tender had no clue at night. I thought it was nice but not worth the price I paid!

Location & facility did the trick. Great middle eastern restaurant down the street.

Hotel staff is very friendly and consistently did their best to be helpful. The hotel itself is in a good location (just on the edge of the town of Roslyn), and the common areas are nice. Unfortunately, the rooms are in desperate need of updating and renovation. The furniture is old and too small for the room, and the finishings are dated and not very fresh looking. The bathroom looked like it had been updated at some point, but the construction was cheap (for example, the ceiling had brown stains on it and was coming down in one spot). I really felt the rate reflected the location of the hotel and that breakfast was included, but I wouldn't pay that much for this room again.

Great stay at Roslyn Hotel. Staff was attentive, room clean and attractive, breakfast good. Overall nice experience.

We stayed there during hurricane Sandy so anywhere that had power and heat would have surprised. Nevertheless this is a pretty hotel close by to the pretty town of Roslyn. The staff was accommodating under difficult circumstances and the rooms were clean.

I was in the Roslyn area to be close to the hospital where my Dad was having surgery. The hotel was the best priced for the surrounding Nassau County area but I found it to be higher than what I would expect to pay for something in the 2-3 star range. The room was clean, but desperately needed a decor update. K-cup coffee maker supplied in the room was a nice touch but the machine brews a terribly tasting tea. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, especially Olga who was manning the front desk.

The room was spacious and clean. I found it to be very comfortable. I also liked that a hot breakfast was complimentary with my stay.

iT WAS GREAT. THE STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND INFORMATIVE. THERE WERE ABSOLUTELY NO NEGATIVES ABOUT MY STAY.

I requested a Refridgerator days ahead of my guests arrival sadly to say they forgot to put one in, and took many hrs for someone to bring one. That's not good for a higher end hotel, simple things like this should be done immediately!!!!!!!

The cookies were grrreat!!! We loved the ambience of the rustic layout.
