Really convenient location when arriving by train. Istedgade is little bit restless (red lights), but I felt safe walking there. Lots of nice restaurants and bars nearby (Vesterbro and Ködbyen). Hotel was very basic, interiors looked scruffy and the room was not that fancy. Paper thin walls so you really need to have ear plugs to be able to sleep. The pillows and matress were quite poor quality and I got neck ache after just the first nights sleep. I would not go here again, although liked the location.

First of all, you don't have a bathroom in your room here, so be sure to be aware of that. I was not. Also, when you leave to go explore Copenhagen they make you leave your key at the front desk. Then when you come back you say what room you're in to get your key back. And they don't even ask for a name or ID. You can just say any room and they'll give you the key. That really sketched me out. Any thug off the street could walk in and say a room number and steal all the stuff in the room. Did not care for that operation.

Very small single room, but it totally does the job, and even though the bed is small, it is comfortable. The hotel is just steps from the Central Station, and is extremely convenient. The staff is nice, and there is a computer to use in the lobby. Also, you won't find anything cheaper in Copenhagen!

I've stayed here a few times now: there are two kinds of rooms: those which have windows on the facade, and those which don't. The former are much better, and much fewer. In general in any case I find this hotel very convenient if you need a bed for the night, and that's all. It's clean, right behind the train station, and the staff is nice. It's very cheap for Copenhagen standards, so don't expect a great room. But the price/quality ratio is still very good, in my opinion.

This was the second time I stayed at this hotel, and the room this time wasn't definitely as good as the first time, thought the (very low) price was the same: I guess one has just to be lucky. So, it is still a very good choice if you are on a budget, but don't expect a princely accommodation. Great location, right behind the station. The neighborhood doesn't look great, though it is absolutely safe, but the hotel is so close to the train station that you don't even get a chance to see it.

My ratings are renormalized to the hotel category, which is budget travel. I was very positively surprised: strongly advise.

hotel very near train station which made it very easy to get to when you arrive. Staff very friendly. We asked to change room as we were put into a very small room when complained were put into a much nicer bigger room worth complaining if your room is small. Another thing no hairdryer in room but no problem getting one from reception. breakfast very good. Hotel near tivoli gardens for xmas markets. Overall hotel to be recommended.

in fact hotel is in a very nice place, outside looking and lobby area were very nice. but we were shocked when we entered the rooms. because; * too small * rooms were unheated * very samll and uncomfortable beds. * beds were untidy, one of them was dirty, with blood etc. * towel was smelly in short, the hotel could have been very nice, but our stay was not.

We arrived late in the evening and they gave us a big suite though we had paid for a budget room, great!!!

I have spent in the hotel 3 nights in December. What can I say, I was looking something not so expensive comparing to other hotels in the centre, I think it was the cheaspest one, but not cheap enough for this kind of hotel. In other cointries one can have very good room for this money. The room was clean but so tiny, it was narrow that besides 90cm bed there was only 40cm to walk. I had to move my suitcase all the time otherwise I could not open the door to the coridor. Everything in the hotel is very old, but is it clean. There is shared bathroom on the floor, but not so bad, clean. There are 2 toilets and 4 showers, never seen the queue, so it was not uncomfortable at all. There is a sink in the room, so I could bras my teeth in tyr room. TV was b&w, small and picture of not good quality. I actually liked breakfast. I recommend to order that too, otherwise the food is very expensive in the city, and you will spend much more. One can say that breakfast was poor, but how much you will eat. There were cereals, sosages, eggs, apples and oranges, jogurt, milk, juices, bread and marmelade, good choice of tee and coffee. Stuff was ok, unlikely other commenters here, I can't say they were extremely friendly. I have arrived to Copenhaget early morning, hotel was fully booked (not a room even, hmm), so I left my bags in the lobby, and went to ballet. Also I remember what annoyed me there, in some room in front of mine some one was studying violin all evening, and I was so tired after walking. But other nights were silent, so walls are not thin. Also the blanket and pillow were too thin. I was not cold, but if would be colder outside then probably that is not enough. And the heating battery was cold. The best thing about the hotel is the location, it is just 20 meters from the railway station. To compare to the price, it is niice hotel. Staff is friendly. Convinient location. Room facility is ok. Breakfast is ok. Nice chinese restaurant (Restaurant name, Magasasa) is next to the hotel.

Had a great stay at Hotel Nebo. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect - right behind the central train station - so getting to and from the airport is a matter of minutes. Rooms are basic but clean. Breakfast was good. All in all if you want a cheap, clean and friendly hotel this is great for you.

Hotel itsself was very nice and location ideal for the train station and much of the city centre. Staff were always friendly and helpful and hotel was spotless. Single room was however incredibly small and any noise from neighboring rooms or the corridor could be heard. All things considered though and for the price they charge this was an excellent place to stay to see Copenhagen without spending a fortune. I was very happy.

Cute little hotel, right near Copenhagen main train station. You are only 3 train stops away from or to Copenhagen International Airport. My room was the size of a closet. The pillow was very small and thin. The bed cover had stained spots. I removed the bed cover and used it as prop for the small thin pillow. The breakfast was wonderful. Lots of cold cut meats and a nice slice of cheese. Tasty baked bread rolls or the sliced kind. Also, yogurt and sweet rolls. Juices and coffee of different flavors. The great breakfast, made up for the lousy little room and the stained bed cover. It was very convenient to have breakfast at the hotel. Beware, Copenhagen, is a very, very expensive place.

Pros: Relatively very cheap. Amazingly central location. Friendly staff. Sufficiently clean. Adequate heating. Daily room service. Cons: Smallest room I've ever stayed in (could easily touch both the opposite walls with my hands at the same time). Different taps for warm and cold water. Very thin walls, could hear everything room neighbours said (also, one word: snoring). Breakfast a bit dull. No room key card, had to leave key with receptionist every time I left. When returning, only had to say room number to get key (which makes it possible for anyone to just walk in there and get someone else's key, I guess.)

Excellent location about 20 steps from train station, just 3 blocks to the main shopping district, staff always nice and ready to help also they all spoke english. I would go back to this hotel in my future travels.

Hotel is in amazingly convenient location in Copenhagen. Steps from train station. Quiet room (overlooking courtyard in back). Walking distance to all sites. Internet/computer in lobby with printer (no charge). Friendly & helpful staff. No problems with location being close to red light district. Fabulous value and price. Positive experience.

it was okay, the room was small and the hallways were load but for the price it was nice.

my husband and i are seniors and found the hotel to be reasonable in a very expensive city. it was convenient to the train station and within walking distance of many interesting tourist attractions including Tivoli Gardens. It was great!

I stayed in this hotel one night in August with my girlfriend and this we had a very unpleasant experience in this hotel. On our departure, we left our bags in the lobby room for a quick walk in town and when we returned one of my bags was missing - it was taken by the hotel receptionist who thought we would walk away without paying our telephone bill. And what was our suprise to see the amount they charged for the telephone bill - 70 Euros for a 3 min long distance call (our hotel in Paris had charged 3 Euros for the same type of call). Feeling robbed and outraged, we asked to speak to the manager just to hear that they had no reason to inform guests about these absurd prices. We felt like calling the police but we had no time since we had to take a train. Its clear by the way they treated us that they have had angry guests complaining about their absurd prices before, and it is a shame that they have to rob money from guests in this manner. I hope this serves as a warning for future guest to beware and avoid this hotel. Prior to this event our treatment by the hotel personnel was cold, but ok.

Nebo is perfectly located for those travelling by train. Closely located are also several ethnic restaurants and grocery stores, should you need them.The breakfast was minimalistic but sufficient.Buses drive in front of the hotel, but still the 1.st floor room was pretty silent during (Sunday) night. I can recommend hotel Nebo for those that are not too picky about small details.

We had a room with a bath and the room was very comfortable. The location can't be beat - right next to the Central Station and close to most attractions. The red light district is several blocks beyond the hotel but it really no big deal. It' some adult shops and a few no so pushy ladies of the evening. If you don't want to see this, just remember to go left as you exit the hotel. Street noise could be a problem in warm weather if your window is open.

I had a great time at Nebo. It was incredibly close to the Central train station, which was great. It was also pretty close to the large tourist sights. True, this is not the finest hotel I have ever stayed in but it was a great value for the price. It was very clean, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast buffet was great too, as Copenhagen can be pretty expensive.

Pros: Insanely cheap for Copenhagen. Very close to Central Station. The room was fairly clean and comfortable, and I never had any trouble with the shared bathrooms. Utilitarian but fine. The breakfast was affordable and tasty, though they stop serving at 10:15 so don't bother if you're a late sleeper. Cons: It's in the red light district. This doesn't bother me, but I did get catcalled a bit when walking alone at night. By the same token, my Danish boyfriend was forced to purchase his own room in order to spend the night- granted, we came in late, but I think the desk clerk assumed I was a prostitute based on the neighborhood, and I think this policy is patronizing and ridiculous when I am a 31 year old woman. There is also a lot of street noise at night, but it didn't bother me. The bed was very small, and the sheets kept slipping off. The in-room phone didn't work, and the clerk made no effort to get me a working phone. The very expensive internet didn't work half the time and I had to email the provider myself to get a refund.

The rooms are basic but fine for a Budget hotel, bedding is clean but the bed covers aren't always. When I arrived I was told I had booked two rooms, which I hadn't. That was cleared up relatively quickly. It seems both rooms were now marked as available as I was about to find out... Next day when I came back from work they had given away the room I had stayed in the first night to someone else (!) and as a replacement I could only get a room facing the street which was not only noisy but also very hot. After about an hour the receptionist finally found a room that was to my liking and available but their "booking system" (an Excel sheet) is a nightmare especially during busy times / when there is an event in town. If you're a budget traveller and looking for a central hotel this is fine, otherwise look elsewhere. Be

If you book a single room it will be located facing the front of the hotel. Double rooms do not face the main street. This is a very busy sector of Copenhagen being so close to the train station. Foot traffic and pedestrian noise does not quite down until 4 am. Since there is no air conditioning, windows have to remain open. You will need ear plugs and a sleeping aid to get through the night. The rates are reasonable for the area, therefore they are always fully booked. Changing you room will not be possible if the street noise is an issue. The staff were very helpful. The free breakfast a true cost saving and convenience. Food is very expensive in Copenhagen. If your an American experiencing a European hotel for the fist time, do not expect a luxury room. The single rooms are small and basic, like a college dorm, the bathroom is only functional with a hand held shower, no shower pan, as is customary in Denmark. The bed was comfortable, a bottom sheet, duvet and 2 pillows, European standard. I slept with my travel pillow and blanket since the duvet was much to heavy of a weight for summer. My stay was for three nights.

Travelling alone, I chose a hotel close to the central train station, and found it to be comfortable, with pleasant, friendly staff, and clean rooms. I'd choose the same hotel if I was going back to Copenhagen.

The hotel is a nice little place. The rooms are small by North American standards, but everything you need is there. The windows open wide and the courtyard was nice. The bathroom was clean and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was really good, great coffee and a smart cheese cutter! The train station is only a few steps away and most of the tourist areas just past that. If you turn right out of the hotel, you get into a rougher area a few blocks away. We saw a drug deal and were uncomfortable around there. Not a problem if you don't go that way. I'd stay again if I were going back to Copenhagen!

Hotel location is very close to Central station. Only need a minute to get to the hotel from Central station exit. There is an 7-Eleven at the corner. Several restaurant are around. Breakfast is great. But don't expect too much in the room - no coffee machine, get hair dryer from counter, filtered water fountain free downstairs, but need to pay for hot water.

We were extremely happy with our stay at Hotel Nebo. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was fantastic. We did not see anything of the red light district mentioned in other reviews and had a room facing the courtyard so it was very quiet. We also booked a double room which was supposed to have a double bed but actually had a double bed and a single bed in it - fantastic as we are friends and only booked a double bed as the twin rooms were booked. The room was big, clean and comfortable and the toilets/showers were the same. The only small issue we had was that they said breaktfast is served until 10.15 - and they mean it! We went down at about 10.05 and by 10.15 on the dot everything had been cleared away! So if you are planning breakfast make sure you leave enough time (or pile up your plate!) Overall we were extremely happy - in fact we travelled around and stayed in a 4 star hotel afterwards....and Nebo was better!!
