The main advantage of Golden Leaf Parkhotel Im Lehel is its location - it's just 5 minutes walking from Odeonplatz and 10-15 minutes on foot from Marienplatz. Despite the hotel is close to the city center, it's located at a rather quiet street. Rooms are small, but comfortable. Nothing superfluous. In the hall by the reception there is a coffe-machine. You can drink either coffe or tea and and snack cookies or fruits (FOR FREE, no matter if you order breakfast or not). It's very handy.

The Golden Leaf was definitely worth staying at. The two biggest drawbacks were the 12Euro breakfast and it's location. We had to walk about 10-15 minutes to get to the Marienplatz or Odienplatz, which is not bad, but we also passed several hotels that were a lot closer. During Oktoberfest this would be a prime location. Other than that everything else was exactly what I expected.

The Golden Leaf Park Hotel is centrally located. It is near the underground. It was easy to get to the airport on the underground and the train. Also in close walking distance of central Munich.

The hotel is located in Lehel which is a very quiet neighbourhood, yet at 10 mins walking distance from the city centre (Odeonsplatz, Hofgarten) and only 5 mins from the big city park Englischen garten. Furthermore, the U5 is nearby to get quickly to the Oktoberfest or to Ostbahnhof to go to the airport. When we got to our room, we found some hairs on the bed. We got a new room quickly where we found the same. Fortunately the front desk hostess took adequate action and changed the sheets immediately herself. Nevertheless, they have a small issue with their internal laundry, as the next day after the sheets were changed again by the cleaning staff, we found again some hairs. All in all, a normal OK hotel (certainly not a bad place). Acoustic isolation between the rooms is not perfect, but certainly not the worst compared to other more expensive hotels I have been to. The location is it's best selling point. Did not take breakfast at the hotel nor did I take their internet services.

Good Hotel pleasant and helpful reception desk staff would be a five star review if it wasn't for money being stolen from the room, resulting in a visit to the local police station (an attraction we could have done without seeing)

Stayed for 3 nights with my husband. Bed was comfy and room was nice and warm. Plenty of room as we weren't in Munich to watch tv in a hotel. Staff on the reception were pleasant and efficient. Hotel is handy to underground station, can be a bit confusing if you come out the wrong exit! We also walked into the city center which was lovely and about 15 minutes away. Didn't have breakfast as we ate out for cheaper. Wasn't expecting tea and coffee making facilities so wasn't annoyed they were available. Minimal noise from the street which is to be expected. All in all a great place to stay and we would stay again.

Great place to say! The interior is a bit out dated but it was clean and the quiet. Some nice restaurants, a bakery and a deli right around the corner. It's a short walk to the subway and to the city center or the park.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two nights on our 2 week trip to Europe. The hotel itself was very clean, and the room was huge, with a separate sitting area and a large bathroom. It even has a decently priced "minibar" in the room. It's in a quiet, residential neighborhood. We arrived at the hotel late and still felt pretty safe walking in the neighborhood. The staff was fairly friendly. As for the negatives, as I mentioned the hotel is in a residential neighborhood, which means it a 20-30 minute walk from the main train station, and about 15-20 minutes from the city center. However, the U system (subway) has a stop a couple blocks from here that proved fairly convenient. The biggest downside is that the hotel staff is not there 24 hours a day. They leave at 10:30, which was not conveyed to us ahead of time, and almost proved disastrous as we had rented a car and were late getting into town. Fortunately we arrived at 9:30 so everything worked out. However, if you don't know they lock the front door at 10:30 and you haven't checked in, you're out of luck. Overall this was a quality hotel for the money, a little out of the way. If you are staying in Munich on a budget, I would recommend this hotel.

Great location, close to U and S as well as tram. Rooms are not air conditioned so it can be quite warm in the summer heat. Otherwise, we were very satisfied.

I recently stayed here in Aug 2011 with my boyfriend. We found the location to be convenient, close to the UBahn and in a neighborhood of locals. It was a 15 min walk to the town square, which was close enough to walk, but also far enough away to have the real neighborhood feel. The shower was small and awkward, I can handle either seperatley, but together made showering difficult. We found a few spiders in the room. My boyfriend had a crawling sensation all over his body the first night, but nothing came of it, maybe just one of the spiders. The desk staff was helpful and friendly. Overall, it was ok, not great, not bad. I would probably try a different place if I were to go back.

This hotel gave us everything we needed for our 4 day trip to Munich without all the noise of downtownMunich. Beds were very comfortable(great pillows)-the bonus for us was free tea and coffee and fruit in reception. Lehel is a very nice suburb with cafes and bars and really close to the english garden and a 10 minute walk into town.

We needed Internet access while at the hotel for important family business. There is no wi-fi included, so we paid for a day of service for about 12 Euro. The service was unusable; I couldn't even bring up a Google email page. We complained multiple times to the staff, and they made no effort to help us.

This hotel sits right next to the English Garden in Munich, it is in a nice neighborhood. However it is a bit of a walk to the nearest metro station in the Marienplatz (20 min). There are a few restaurants nearby which are not very touristy which was nice.

This hotel is a good place to stay - it's clean, the staff helpful, and it's in a great location. An easy 15 minute walk to Maxvorstadt (Pinakoteks) and to Marianplatz. Much closer to the Residenz and the English Garden. Lehel Ubahn stop is a couple of blocks S, 100 busline just a block N, and a grocery one block SE. The hotel was last renovated in the 1990s, but it's comfortable and clean. Quiet neighborhood.

This hotel is not fancy, but it is clean, located in a nice, quiet neighborhood and is staffed with friendly and helpful folks. The hotel is about 31/2 blocks from the Lehel U4/5 station and is also a short walk from the Odeonsplatz, so it's convenient to get to the major shopping areas. I didn't eat the breakfast at the hotel because the cost was 12 Euros, which seemed expensive to me, and there were a number of bakeries in the area. The only english speaking channel was CNN - the rest is German tv. Internet is very good in the room, but also not cheap. But i was able to use skype and download large emails with no problem.

This hotel is located about 1 km from the Marienplatz and is within a reasonable walk of the attractions of central Munich. The neighborhood is ok, and there are a few good restaurants nearby (check hotel staff for info). A San Francisco Coffee House and Tengellmann's grocery store are behind the hotel on Liebigstrasse. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was a little small but comfortable for 2. The bathroom was adequate, but had the smallest shower we've ever seen. It was a challenge to avoid splashing water all over the bathroom. A cold breakfast buffet with eggs cooked to order was available for 12 Euros. Wireless internet was available for 8 Euros/hr. Parking was very difficult. We ended up parking in a garage under the hotel for 10 Euros/day but getting in and out of the garage was a hassle. Overall this hotel was ok, but we would try another place next time.

I expected this to be a regular hotel. It turns out is very convenient for us. It only takes 3~5 minuts of walk to Tram or Subway. And take one or two stop just to arrive the Munich city center or the shopping area. There is a supermarket nearby and we purchase all our daily needs there. The room is not big comparae to room in USA. But you can add extra bed if you need. I add one for 16 Europ for my son per day. And a parking space for the rental only cost 9 Europe. Believe me you probably can't find a parking space on the street. It's all full all the time and you need to pay for that also. Overall we like this hotel and the rate is good and close to the city center.

The hotel location is great, the place seems to be clean, but the room which I had was very ugly and did not feel homely. The bed was comfortable enough though.

Good quality in a very good area. 5 min walking time from English Garden, 15 min walking time from Hofbräuhaus. All additional services, e.g., Internet are quite expensive.

This is a great place to stay for those on a budget. Close to the main attractions of Munich, clean and simple rooms. Everything I was looking for. Breakfast offered was delicious.

This is a 3 star hotel so if you dont raise your expectation levels through the roof, it is absolutely ideal for a city centre stay. Just around the corner from Lehal underground station and a ten to fifteen minute stroll from the main attractions of Marienplatz. Located in a quiet residential area, the hotel is literally round the corner from a couple of nice cafe type establishments in St Anna Platz, ideal for breakfast if you opt out of the hotel option. Also round the corner from the English Garden Park which is a great alternative walk to the City attractions. The room we had was not huge but certainly not pokey. A very comfortable split mattress bed, but if we were to complain about anything, it would be the pillow on the bed. Not sure what was going on with these, but they are effectively a bag of air feathers which offer no support or comfort at all even when folded over. Hotel owners, 'PLEASE' replace these pillows with something more effective, it really does matter. On the positive side, the rooms are warm and the extra door into the sleeping area seemed to keep noise levels down to a minimum, although we found it a quiet hotel anyway. Bathroom was clean and shower excellent although it is of the curtain variety which I tend to find a tad irritating! Sadly there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room which may devastate the average Brit, but rooms were cleaned on a daily basis with fresh towels supplied. Overall for an upmarket city like Munich, I would thoroughly recommend this 3 star Hotel to anyone who does not mind a stroll into the City Centre, although the walk down Maximilianstrasse past all the famous fashion houses may leave you thinking you are a few million euros short with your holiday spends!! One final positive for this hotel, check out time was 12 noon. A bonus after a final night in the beer kellers. Oh, and dont forget to eat some of the biscuits in reception area during the day, they are just fabulous.

The room I had was nothing like pictures. Photos of tubs and description bath/shower should have stated bath OR shower (shower only in my room even after requesting a tub). MY room was small -the first room which I complained about, was tiny. Finally, they photo copy your credit card and when I asked about security measures for my information upon checkout, things did not go well (may have been a language barrier thing). There is just about nothing positive I can say about this hotel. You can do much better in Munich!

This hotel is clean and conveniently located. It's only about a ten minute walk to the Marianplatz and only about five from the English Garden. The room was well sized, especially for the price. Munich is an amazing city, and this hotel is an affordable and convenient way to visit the city.

Good value for money hotel in a mostly residential area just outside the city centre. Quiet at night yet only a 5 - 10 minute walk to the main tourist areas e.g. Hofbrauhaus. The southernmost entrance to the English Garden was only a minute or two's walk in the opposite direction. Staff were very helpful but can't comment on the breakfast as i always ate out. Wouldn't hesitate to return and would recommend to friends & family.

Basic, reasonably comfortable hotel reasonably close to the city centre, and about twenty minutes' walk from the Hauptbahnhof (main railway station). Easy access to the English garden and some nice walks. U-Bahn station within five minutes' walk, although local restaurants, bierkellers and the like are fairly few and far between. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My German's fairly basic, but they were willing to let me continue to try without automatically reverting to English. Good enough for the money paid.

Very nice hotel for the price and location. Extremely pleased. Did not eat breakfast at the hotel as it was an extra charge but there's plenty of cafes and shops in the neighborhood where you can get something for the morning. Do not, I repeat, do not get the wireless high speed internet. They call it highspeed but 56kB/sec is not even close to highspeed. It would be cheaper and faster to go to an internet cafe. Overall though, the hotel was excellent. Staff was extremely helpful.

This hotel is fine, it's close to the English Garden and it's walkable to downtown locations such as Marienplatz. It was one of the cheaper hotels we could find online. It has a ridiculous "shower" with a tub and a shower door that covers half of the tub only....with no sliding door to cover the other half. I don't understand why showers in Europe are all so horrible! Maybe to get you to use less water? Anyway, I would stay here again probably, as other hotels in the area were more expensive.

Great location within easy walking distance of the main areas. Road outside was however very noisy so couldn't sleep with the windows open.

Bottom line, good value for a hotel in the area. A little tucked away, but easy walk (about 10 minutes) to the Hofbrauhaus and (about 4 minutes) to the Metro. Rooms were a little small and didn't have air conditioning, but it cools off enough at night that leaving the windows open was sufficient. 12 Euros extra (per person) for breakfast was expensive given what was on the buffet so we decided to skip it and go down the street to the San Francisco Coffee shop where we got great sandwiches and coffee for just 5 Euros. Would stay here again next time.

Das Einzelzimmer lagt im Treppenhausflur / Aufzugsbereich.Die Türen werden durch einen Federmechanismus zugezogen, der ein lautes Zuschlagen der Zimmertüren versursacht. In dem Morgenstunden extrem störend ! Im Zimmer zur Straße ist mit Autolärm zu rechnen,da mehr Verkehr, als auf den ersten Blick zu erwarten. Freundliches Personal. Bitte nach 2. Kopfkissen wurde umgehend erledigt. Lüftungsgeräusch im Bad sehr laut / störend. Zimmer sauber und gut ausgestattet. Haare vom Vorgänger auf der Toilette. Großer Schreibtisch mit Stuhl gut zum Arbeiten und bequemer Sessel.

Wir waren zu dritt auf dem weg nach in den süden und wollten eine nach in münchen verbringen. Das hotel ist für die ca. 505 ganz gut. Teuer war nur das Parken mit 15€ pro nacht. Am nächsten tag wollten wir in die stadt und konnten nur gegen aufpreis das Auto nach check-out stehen lassen. Das fand ich ein bisschen schade. Das Hotel an sich ist so weit gut. Frühstück hatten wir keins. Die zimmer sind mit allem notwendigem ausgestattet, ein kleiner alter Fernseh, mini bar, usw. Wlna sollte extra kosten, find ich auch nicht so toll in heutigen zeiten. Das Bett im Doppelzimmer war leider mit 2 matratzen bestückt so habe ich die nacht über gekämpft nicht mit meiner mattraze weg zu rutschen oder mich in der rille in der mitte des bettes wieder zu finden. Die Lage des Hotels ist aber zimlich nah and der stadt. nur ein kleiner spatziergang und mann ist in der stadt. Es lieget aber weit genug weg das es ruhig ist.

solides Haus gut mit der U-Bahn zu erreichen

Im Herzen Münchens (ungefähr auf halber Strecke zwischen Zentrum und Isar gelegen) findet man wohl kaum eine günstigere Unterkunft. Die Damen an der Rezeption waren sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Zimmerausstattung entspricht dem Standard: Bequeme Betten, ein sauberes Bad und eine reich gefüllte Minibar (nur war ein dort enthaltenes Getränk leider abgelaufen :)). Das Gebäude selbst wirkt mit seiner "70-er Jahre Zweckarchitektur" wie ein Findling in dem ansonsten sehr schicken Lehel mit seinen mondänden Bürgerhäusern. Dafür entschädigt aber die Umgebung: Die herrliche Kirche St. Anna samt dem malerischen Plätchen mit vielen guten Ausgehmöglichkeiten liegt gleich ums Eck.

Ничем не выделяющийся - ни отрицательно ни положительно. Прошло около трех недель, как мы там останавливались, но мы так и не смогли вспомнить, что там было... Расположен почти в центре. Дойти до Мариенплац - не проблема. Внутри - все как в обычной тройке...

Отель расположен не совсем в центре, на тихой небольшой улице, в 10 минутах ходьбы от Одеонсплац (Odeonsplatz‎), а это уже историческая часть города. В номере аккуратно, чисто, претензий нет, персонал вежливый. Из минусов могу отметить, что интернет является платным, а на ночь отель закрывается, поэтому либо берите ключ с собой, либо заранее узнавайте код автоматического ящика с ключом. В целом, типичные европейские 3 звезды.

5 Tage München U4/U5 zum Hauptbahnhof in der Nähe (ca. 400m) 2 Minuten zum Englischen Garten Ruhiges Viertel Keine typischen Münchner Gaststätten in der Umgebung Reinigung der Zimmer erscheint etwas oberflächlich; im Großen und Ganzen aber noch erträglich. Frühstückspreis gerade noch akzeptabel, 10 EUR pro Person hätten es allerdings auch getan.
