The Newport Harbor Hotel & Marina - نيوبورت

We were a bit concerned with some of the lower ratings but decided to take a chance as this stay was for only one night. I am giving this hotel top marks and would stay there once again. The view of the bay was very nice in the morning too.

Great location. Loved the harbor views. Nice indoor pool. No breakfast included but there's a restaurant connected by a hallway so you don't have to go outside.

Had a great time. Would have liked a hot tub / jacuzzi by pool. Bathrooms are small but hotel is great otherwise. It's near tons of shops and restaurants.

We picked this hotel due to its rate, location, & parking. The hotel offers harbor/sunset views of Newport in spring although windows don't open more than a crack. The parking is easy and location is great- walking distance to the Wharfs and tons of shopping/resturaunts. It provides a very basic room with the necessities at an excellent price. Perfect for families or if you plan on staying outdoors and using it just to sleep/as a home base. I wouldn't say it had the charm most Newport boutique hotels do or good for a romantic weekend where youd spend more time indoors but I'd choose it over a chain competitor like Mariott or Hyatt esp. if price is cheaper as it was the weekend we went. Service was great though we didnt need much else than what we arrived with for one night!

I went to Newport with my wife and wanted to stay in the center of town and this hotel fit the bill. The hotel is nothing special but the room was comfortable and clean. They have a pool on site but i did not go in. Overall it did the job that I wanted and that was a place to sleep at night near the center of town.

I stay in about 100 hotels a year. This is the first time I am writing a review because it was so disappointing. The rooms are just fair. Linens were old. Room is small. Bathroom unacceptable. Tiny. No place to put your stuff. The lobby is in need of decorating. One person at the desk on a phone that never stopped ringing. Stood there twice for over 10 minutes waiting to ask simple questions. No bellman. No valet. This is Newport Beach.... Come on!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Newport Harbor Hotel and Marina. It was off season and so some of the usual facilities were not available but this was to be expected and reflected in the price. If I have one complaint it is that, even though the hotel was to a large extent empty, rather than give us a room with a good view of the harbour, we were stuck in a corner with a view of a roof. I realise we took the budget option room, but it seems like the hotel might have made an effort to impress us more, considering the rooms with a better view were standing empty anyway. But that is a minor niggle, we got what we paid for and the hotel was comfortable, clean and in a perfect location for exploring Newport.

Reasonable rate, excellent location. Would stay again :)

Location was great and had a nice view of the harbor. Bathroom was small but adequate. Staff was friendly but when we requested an extra coffee cup for the room they said they were busy and it never came. The pool was also nice. For the price and location I would stay here again.

It was thoroughly enjoyable, and it was parking was convenient. You can get anywhere in downtown Newport on foot.

The location is great! The room was clean & comfortable. We got a first floor room which had a door to go outside near the boat dock. The only bad thing was the noise level. We could hear doors opening & shutting & people talking throughout the night.

From the outside the hotel looked nice. When we got in you could tell it was an older hotel, which is ok. When we got in our room it was freezing cold! Had to be warmer outside then in the room. When I went to go use the phone to call down to the desk we noticed there were small black hairs on the phone receiver! Then we went to go get ice and had issues finding the ice bucket. Once we did find it, it had trash in it! Someone had used the complimentary Keurig and put the empty cup & creamer in it. There was also a "funk" in the room that smelled like poo. It wasn't all the time but enough. The mystery hair had also found it's way to the bathroom. It was all over the sink and even on the walls! How is that even possible???? Finally, went to go use the Keurig for a cup of coffee in the morning and it did not heat the water. Great value on a room but spend the extra bucks and go to the Radisson. We will not be coming back.

Its exactly what it said it would be. Great service. nice room. Comfy beds. Loved the pool! Great locatoon- on the water!

Go for the location as its close to everything. Rooms are small. I had the harbor view. No fridge. No microwave.

This room was perfect for my family of four. The room had a great view of the marina. The location of the hotel could not be beat plus they included free, convenient parking. I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for two nights after our wedding for a mini-honeymoon prior to the summer getaway. The Newport Harbor Hotel & Marina is not the Waldorf however they pay great attention to maintaining a clean property. The lobby and hallways were spotless and the room was immaculate. The biggest bonus of this hotel is its location: right smack-dab in the middle of everything that makes Newport great. All the food, shopping, and sights are either right next-door or a quick 5 to 15-minute walk away.

From the start it was not a pleasant experience. We were punctual for check-in. However, they were not. Our check-in was delayed one hour. After traveling in a blizzard to get there we were very disappointed they could not accommodate us in anyway. The room itself was not very clean, the bathroom towel rod was loose and there was a smell of mold. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The location of the hotel and the view of the harbor is fabulous. Hope they get there act together.

The desk staff really need to get a clue. I was using one credit card for three rooms and for some reason, this was inconceivable to the clerk checking me in which made everything take way, way, too long. It was beyond ridiculous. Rooms could also use some sort of redecorating. Hotel is beginning to look a little old.

Great area to tour around and have some fun!

We didn't really spend to much time at the hotel - arrived around 5 - staff was fine - and checked into our room. Went to dinner (the hotel's proximity to Bannister's Wharf was a plus given the cold wind). Got back late, went to bed, and left in the morning after having some tasty coffee from the inroom Keurig. I was a little disappointed in our water view room. Since the room was recessed relative to the part of the building next to us, when I sat in bed, the only thing I could see out the window was the side of the building... I had been hoping for a nice morning drinking coffee, watching Fox News, and looking out at the harbor...

Our stay was comfortable and nice. It would have been nice to know, at time of booking, that the pool was under construction. That is one of the reasons I booked with this hotel because they had an indoor pool.

Overall, my wife and I had a great time. We went off season, and even though it was cold and windy we both left with a positive view of the hotel and the staff. We had a standard size room, with a king sized bed (which was the most comfortable bed that I've slept in). The Keurig coffee maker in the room was a nice upgrade to the old school single cup coffee makers. Nice new flat screen TV. One small thing, that really doesn't matter, but the cabinet that the TV sits in was a little too small to hold the tv, so you had to pull the TV all the way out, and the cabinet door couldn't close. But that is my complaint, then this place is doing their job.

This hotel was fantastic! Check-in was smooth, our room was extremely comfortable and we had a beautiful view of the harbor. The concierge was very helpful with restaurant suggestions. This place is in a great location for walking to the stores and local attractions. My only complaint would be that the door from our room to the lawn was drafty, and it was a little chilly when we visited in January. Once we closed the drapes at night, we couldn't feel the draft, but we could hear the wind through the door. Regardless, we had a great time and can't wait to stay here again!

The hotel was overall a good deal and in a great location. They didn't charge for parking which I sometimes find other hotels do when located in a main location. We had a minor issue with our heat which they promptly fixed. Breakfast not included. View of the harbor from our room, I recommend staying here.

Had an awesome time, great location with an amazing view of the harbor from our room. Close to everything, we walked everywhere!! The pool was closed for renovation but that was ok. We will go back! Staff was awesome!

My best friend and I have gone to Newport many times--both during the on season and the off season. We've always wanted to stay here because it's close to some of our favorite spots. The location can absolutely not be beat. We never had to take a cab and was an easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants and night-life. It was certainly the off-season as there was a lot of working being done on the hotel (totally understandable). I stayed 3 nights in the hotel and the first night no one came to turnover the room and when we asked about the room being turnover and more towels being delivered we were greeted with a lot of confusion like we were asking for something outlandish. I certainly understand not replacing towels every night; however, I've never been to a hotel that housekeeping didn't come by daily (and I've stayed in some pretty horrible hotels!). Location alone this place is worth going. If I could afford to stay here during the on-season I most definitely would, but there are definitely nicer hotels in the area if you want a more luxurious experience.
