Hotel Calzaiuoli - فلورنس

Great hotel. It's smack in the middle of everything. The location couldn't be more perfect. Everything is within a 3 -5 minute walk to the farthest point. It's less than a minute walk to the Duomo and all the main piazza's. The rooms are renovated, clean, have a warm feeling, and the staff was great. The next time I am in Florence I won't bother lookin for another hotel. Only drawback was that the front desk could have been a little more specific with directions. I found that they would get me to the area but not to a specific corner or intersection. I would have to wander for a few hundred yards. Or they would tell me what bus to take but not what stop for the restaurant.

The hotel is in a prime spot for seeing the sights, I would request a room at the back of the hotel, the noise from the street below is loud. The windows need to be kept open in March, so the sound is louder. Overall, though a very nice hotel with a good breakfast.

We stayed at the Hotel Calzaiuoli for 3 nights and have no complaints! The hotel is in a amazing location, literally in the heart of Florence, its only a 2minute walk to the Duomo and Piazza De Republica and a 15min from the cental train station. The hotel is clean, comfortable, the staff friendly and very helpful. We have no complaints and would stay again!

I stay at this hotel each time I'm in Florence. It's comfortable and the central location is ideal. Everything is within walking distance: train station, Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Academia, Uffizi, Palazzo Vecchio, Marketplace, Santa Croce...great restaurants nearby...Aqua al2, Yellow Bar, and Vivoli for gelato...love this city, love this hotel

The location is great, right in the middle of everything. But the customer service did not match. We asked the front desk two separate times to make sure that we would not be charged when calling a 800 number from the phone in the room. They both advised us that we would be fine to call and would not be charged. When we went to check out they charged us over 5 euro per call. No one could help us and they told us they would re-emburse the charges later but then when we called to do it, they advised they could not help us with it. Everyone would tell us something different and no one seemed to be on the same page.

Can't beat the unbelievable location of the hotel! Found the hotel room to be clean and quiet. Raymond at the front desk is the best.

Would recommend to all - great location, central to all the sites, comfortable rooms, Good breakfast, friendly staff and very accommodating. Had to pay for Internet service and local calls was the only draw back. But would choice again as a place to stay.

Calzaiuoli's location could not have been any better for my first visit to Florence. Every tourist attraction was less than 10 minutes away. The room was nothing fancy but was extremely clean and the bathroom was very new. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic and better than any other hotel's breakfast during our trip. I would definitely recommend Calzaiuoli to those who are visiting Florence for the first time.

The hotel is very comfortable and in the best possible location in Florence. But they still can't seem to get a few routers configured to provide wireless internet services to individual rooms. They say they can, but it sure didn't work in my room. Everywhere else it Italy, internet worked great. This should not be such a baffling issue for a decent hotel. I've stayed there 3 times now and love everything about this hotel and location except their inability and confusion about getting the wireless internet working. Mamma Mia!

The hotel staff were very helpful and made us feel very welcome and that nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was always lovely and clean each time we returned and the housekeeping staff were unobstrusive and always pleasant as they dealt with the rooms.

Really is 4 star. Breakfast was excellent with good service. Street can get a little loud at night because you are in the heart of Florence historic district. Everything is nearby. Excellent location.

This hotel was excellent. It is in the middle of Florence. If you don't stay there, you will wish you had when you walk by with the crowds to whatever hotel you made the mistake of staying at. You can walk to all of the gazillion attractions in Florence from the hotel. The staff is very helpful, and the hotel is not extemely large but is very nice.

only trouble is if you arrive by car, you can not reach the hotel as all streets are pedestrial

The hotel is very clean and comfortable and in walking distance of the train station and all of the main sites in Florence. They have a fantastic breadfast complete with eggs and bacon, etc. We will stay there again.

I absolutely loved this hotel. It was literally right in the middle of everything you wanted to see and do. We had a great view over a bustling street - we were right near the duomo, the ponte vecchio, the great shopping, the good food - and close to the train station too. Honestly, if we didn't travel during the off season, we couldn't have afforded to stay here. But the room was great size, clean, big tall ceilings. The bathroom was large with a great shower. Definitely recommend taking advantage of the included breakfast because they really give you a lot of food! Excellent hotel!

The lobby is small for a 4-stars. However, the location is excellent, right in the center of attractions and actions. We enjoy the staying there for our 6-night Florence vacation.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. It was the most perfect location possible. Within steps to everything you could want. Friendly, helpful staff. FANTASTIC breakfast. Even the rooms on the busy noisy street side had exellent soundproofing, and with the windows closed we did not hear a thing. Beds were comfortable and soft. We slept well. Could not ask for a better place. Would definitely stay there again.

The rooms were very small. I paid for a larger room and they told me that was the large room. There is no way a room could be smaller. They didn't give me the room I paid for. I also had arranged for a private car to pick me up to take me to the airport and the hotel clerk took money from someone else and gave it to them. They didn't know that my girlfriend was sitting there waiting in the lobby and heard the clerk give it to them. The clerk then told me that the driver called and he said he wouldn't be coming because he couldn't get gas anywhere. They are very shady at this hotel and I would never stay there again.

Some of the hotel staff was VERY UNFRIENDLY!!! Some were ery helpful and took the time to get us train schedules...the breakfast was not that great if you are American, it is not the same kind of food..Bed was comfortable for American Standards and had a good shower..WIFI was soooooo expensive..do not plan to use your computer

If you would like a great hotel that is close to everything in walking distance..this is a great hotel. Nice big room and a nice hot shower after a hot day tooling around Florence or Tuscany. The staff is very friendly and speaks English for those of us not so fluent in Italian.

Excellent location between the Duomo and the Uffitzi and just a block from the Plazza de Republica. Located on a main street filled with tourists, the hotel remains quite. The staff are friendly and offer great recommendations when asked.

This hotel was as good as any I've stayed at in my travels. Everything was top flight. The only drawback was that the internet connection was very weak wifi in our room. So, we had to spend our time exploring Florence, not a bad thing. Most importantly, the next time I visit Florence, this will be my #1 choice. The staff at the front desk were especially helpful.

The location was right in the center of everything. Staff was very helpful. Just would like the price to be a bit lower or provide free parking for hotel guests.

The Calzaiuoli Hotel is in a GREAT location, an easy walk to the Duomo, museums and shopping. We stayed there June 28 - July 1, 2009. Definitely take advantage of the breakfast: yogurt, granola, cereal, jams, breads, toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, juice, fruit, teas and delicious coffees individually made according to your specifications --- great. The room was a nice size, the bed was comfortable, nice sheets, air conditioning worked well, the bathroom was modern and pristine. The restaurants suggested by the staff were our least favorites so you'll do better getting that info off the web, our two faves were Quarttro Leoni (get their famous asparagus and ham pasta dish)and Il Latini (go for the steak for two for the main course) and for lunch or a snack definitely walk right around the corner from the Calzaiuoli Hotel (left out the door, first left and then about 20 paces on the left) to I Fratellini, 2.50 Euros gets you a great sandwich, we liked the tuna best, swung by again before heading to the airport and ate them on the plane - yum!

The hotel was very nice/clean; great service; comfortable air conditioned room - BUT the street noise at night (especially on Saturday night - until 3:00 or 4:00 am) made it tough to get a good night's sleep.

Location, location, location!!! My only complaint is that our room was across from the kitchen so we heard pot/pans and conversation begin at 6am. We did have a window onto the street which was fabulous. If I ever go back to Florence I would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at The Calzaiuoli Hotel. The breakfast was nice and the breakfast room was great. The staff were very accommodating and responsive to your needs. Although the maids could do a more thorough cleaning of the hotel rooms but other than that, it is a fine hotel with wonderful amenities like slippers!

This is a very good hotel and I would recommend it. The staff were friendly and efficient, the room was very clean and comfortable and the location is ideal. The only down side to our stay was that we were in room 102 on the first floor which is next to the breakfast kitchen and the staff, coming on duty very early in the morning made little or no attempt to work quietly.

Clean hotel but not much else. In perfect location on the walking street bet duomo and the piazza. No parking!!! We had to pay e30/day to park

Localizado no coração de Florença. Bem conservado e com serviço muito bom. Café da manhã em salão pequeno mas bem servido. Tem serviço para guardar o carro em estacionamento próximo já que não se pode parar nas imediações. Recomendo!

クリスマス前に３泊しました。ロケーションが何と言っても最高に便利です。人通りが多い目抜き通りに面しているので見逃してしまいそうな入り口ですが、綺麗にイルミネーションされたとおりで感激でした。ベルボーイが少ないせいか部屋まで荷物を運んでもらえないこと、宿泊したフロアの廊下途中に数段の階段があり少々不便でした。 禁煙ルームを要望したのですが、満室と言うことで答えてもらえなかったことや部屋が狭い、バスルームが細長く使い勝手が悪いなどはマイナス点です。フロア図を見るか限り、両隣の部屋ではそのマイナス点は無いように感じました。５階の通りに面していない部屋でしたので、部屋の窓から見える左手ドゥオモと右手ベッキオ宮の塔は圧巻でした。この景色は数段の階段の不便さを吹き飛ばしてくれるものでした。個人旅行で歩き中心の方には絶対にお薦めです。

Постоянный шум с улицы или гудящий кондиционер, гремящий посудой персонал и запахи кухни по утрам. Это визитная карточка т.н. четыре звезды! А в центре Флоренции достаточно предложений с более привлекательными ценами.

Ho festeggiato il mio compleanno a Firenze, sono arrivata in questo hotel tramite booking.Alla reception gentilissimi ci hanno regalato un up grade,camera fantastica223a appena ristrutturata,una suitecon tutte le comodità .Posizione eccellente,di fronte Fendi,Vuitton.Unico neo,la recepiton da rinnovare,ma non ci si fa caso in quanto il personale e' veramente gentile.

Hotellet ligger perfekt lige i centrum. Værelserne er rigtig fine og i første omgang var jeg meget glad fordi vi havde valgt dette hotel. Men jeg sov dårligt. Der var ikke tæppe på gangen på det værelse hvor jeg sov og blev derfor vækket af gæste der kom sent hjem det larmede rigtig meget da de gik forbi værelset. Ydermere var værelset oplyst at et center som ligger i forbindelse med bygningen. Så de to nætter hvor jevde regnet med at sove fantastisk blev nætter usammenhængende nattesøvn. Jeg tror ikke jeg vil bo der en anden gang, men altså et meget fint hotel med fanstatisk beliggenhed.

Excellent hôtel. Bien situé plein centre. 3 bémols: -Nous n'étions pas informés que situé en zone piétonne, il est difficile d'accès en voiture (la police italienne est très peu coopérative pour laisser passer les voitures pour les hotels). Résultat: 1H pour y parvenir. -La chambre, pourtant non chauffée, était chaude la nuit, et pas d'AC en avril. Il a fallu ouvrir la fenêtre. Résultat: bruit. -La chasse d'eau du WC était fuyarde: non réparé, malgré notre demande.

Buon albergo nel complesso, in ottima posizione, confortevole.

Hotellet kan ikke ligge mere centralt for besøg af Firenzes seværdigheder. Til trods herfor var hotellet som en oase midt i den travle by.

Albergo centralissimo, tra Piazza del Duomo e Piazza Signoria. Ottimo il servizio.
