Hotel San Luca - فيرونا

We really enjoyed our stay of 4 days in April 2013. The hotel is very close to Plaza Bra and the Verona Stadium for events, and literally around the corner from the Teatro Filarmonico, where we attended a magnificent opera. By the way, this hotel is not only an excellent place to stay, but THE place if you're attending an opera at the Teatro. I even was able to walk back to the hotel room for something at the start of intermission and return less than half way through the intermission. Convenient! We loved the staff and their great service, especially the lady who ran the breakfast buffet. She remembered us from the first day and thereafter always brought us the types of coffee we preferred, etc.. Wow! Our room was on the first floor (actually level 3 above the lobby), but was an easy walk up the stairs or a quick elevator ride which was great for moving our luggage. Views from the room weren't spectacular (alleyway) but the windows brought in nice fresh air and had security shades that came down and made it really nice and dark in the room when we slept. A reasonable price, convenience, a comfortable room (with free Wifi), and a helpful and resourceful staff--what more could you want? We highly recommend this hotel for personal or business travel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay. The hotel is central for all the sights of Verona but in a quiet side street location. The staff were friendly at all times and our room spacious, comfortable and clean with all the facilities we expected. We would certainly stay there again.

This hotel has an entrance off the main drag, so initially you may think it is awkward, but forgot that - it's great ! The lobby is clean and bright. Staff helpful ( The lift was being serviced when we arrived and the lad took all the bags upstairs !) IT is so close to the piazza bar, you could throw a stone ! Local supermarkets for those snacks and drinks at non-tourist prices - very helpful on a budget !! And finally, I reada review that you approached the hotel via an "alley" - Checked it out on Streetview and apologies to our American cousins but, an arch built in the 16th century, which allows one way vehicle traffic, is called a road, not an alley !!! Enjoy and save a bundle if going to the opera - My 75 year mother and aunt enjoyed a stroll in the streets at 2am to get back to the hotel - you can't do that in a lot of the USA !

We were on a one day visit to Verona. We decided to go for this place since it was located on a very prime location. The Arena is just 5 min walk and the train station is very accessible. Other visiting places are within walking distance. The neighborhood is very good for visitors. There are lots of places to eat around. There is a big supermarket nearby where you can purchase groceries too. The breakfast was OK and the hotel is well maintained and clean. The staff is also very helpful.

This hotel is clean and comfortable in a good central location. It's a bit old fashioned but I would stay there again. The only minus was quite a lot of noise from the street outside.

The hotel was exceptionally well-situated, within walking distance of the main sights , churches and supermarket.The room was comfortable but short on space to hang clothes - no wardboard, two small drawers, and four hangers. Good-sized safe. Reception staff very helpful. Would definitely recommend it.

Great location, about 100 yards from the main Piazza Bra and Arena right at the gateway to the old town. It is down a little ally just behind a McDonalds so wasn't the easiest to find! However, well within walking distance of the train station if you get the bus transfer from the airport. Hotel recently refurbished and the room was very clean, generous in size and well equipped. Free wi-fi was a nice bonus. Staff were friendly and spoke good English. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice from the European style buffet. The waitress was extremely pleasant and helpful. If you're looking for a great value, quiet, no frills hotel then this is very highly recommended.

Really central - only a couple of minutes walk to the Arena, and a supermarket just round the corner. Staff in the hotel were helpful when asked a question, but don't offer you information on check-in - there are free maps on the desk though for exploring Verona. You can buy a city pass for 2 days for 15euros or 20euros for 5 days, which gives you entry to all the attractions and free bus transport. However, all the sights are in walking distance and most you just want to see from the outside anyway, such as Juliets balcony. It is really easy to navigate your way around - would highly recommend it :)

Very good place to stay. We enjoyed the stay. The room was very clean and nice. We enjoyed how close the hotel was to the arena (400m). About the only thing we didn't like is the Hotel is by a suspect alley, but is well lit and seemed to be safe.

Had a lovely stay in this little hotel which was a five minute walk from the arena and old town of Verona. The room was freshly decorated, clean and very comfortable although had only one small window which made it feel slightly claustrophobic. The breakfast was a nice relaxing place to start the day with a good selection of cold meat, cheese, yogurt, croissants etc. Would return but ask for a room facing towards the street (with a larger window).

When my partner and I were going on a weekend break to Verona, we wanted a hotel that would be comfortable, affordable and in a great location to explore everything on foot - the Hotel San Luca is it. Friendly staff, average but pleasant breakfast, 2 minutes (if that) from the Arena and Verona is so small that most things are within a short walk away. The station is even only about a 10 minute walk. It's nothing mega flashy and the decor is a little dated, but for a place to stay it's just what we needed. I note previous reviews talk about it being down a dark alley - Verona is made up of small streets - this is just another small street. Book, stay, enjoy!

We have just returned from a one night stay at the Hotel San Luca. The hotel is in a very convenient location just a couple of minutes walk from the Arena. The main rail station and the airport shuttle bus stop are also within walking distance. The hotel is located on a side road but was still easily located. The reception staff were very friendly and efficent - helping carry our bags to the room. The room itself was well furnished and comfortable. The travel cot provided for our one year old son was of good quality and better than we have experienced in hotels in the UK. The continental breakfast was good by Italian standards witha good degree of choice.

For a 3 star hotel, this was really pretty good. The location was great, and barely a minutes walk from the old city center and Arena. The room we had was fine, with good wi-fi that was included free. There was a nearby church bell tower, but it only rang a couple times a day and never too early or for too long, so was quite a nice bit of character, rather than a distraction. Breakfast was a continental buffet, plenty of fruit, cereals, breads and pasties. We realy liked it, thought it was great, but just don;t expect a full english. Also, the tea wasn;t so great by UK tastes, but if you like coffee you'll be fine.

There is CNN channel! The room is clean but looks like a 10 yr old hotel.

Satyed for 4 nights in a double room. Staff was very helpful, the hotle is very clean and well maintained. Wireless internet was very fast for us. Only drawback was the size of the room, which was rather tight for 2 people.

The only downside to this hotel is the early checkout time of 10.30am.

Hotel is well located and good quality for the price. Room was small but very clean. Staf was formal and polite. Breakfast room spacious with good selection of food. Additional cost for parking at reasonable rate.

This is an affordable hotel in the heart of Verona, 5 minutes walking to Arena and everything. Wonderful place to stay, the staffs are kind. Only thing needs to be improved is the internet service.

Hotel recomnedable, ubicacioon excelente y muy atento el personal.

15 min a piedi dalla stazione,zona tranquilla,vicino a piazza Bra e al Castelvecchio,personale disponibile (in particolare la cameriera che si occupava delle prime colazioni). La stanza molto pulita ma un po' freddina.Nel complesso esperienza positiva da consigliare.

We have 3 kids so we booked 2 rooms (1adult+1child) (1adult+1child+1baby) and when arriving everything was OK. But after bringing our luggage to our rooms the reception calls and wants us to come down and pay an additional fee for our kids (its around 8-9pm, but the hotel claims we have to pay the fee or leave!, even though we have already been charged for the rooms and the kids + ages were stated very clearly in our booking!) In the end we did not pay anything extra but it was an extremely nasty experience that destroyed our evening in Verona and the next day we decided to return home instead of prolonging our Italy holiday...

Fint og vedlikeholdt hotell med god service og under fem minutt gange til Piazza Bra. Hotellet var godt renholdt med en fin lobby med oppholdsrom. Trivelig personale og passende for barnefamilier. God kvalitet på trådløst nett i lobbyen men dårlig dekning på rommet.

L'hotel si trova in un'ottima posizione sia che si arrivi in macchina o in treno, perchè siatuato a ridosso del centro storico, è arredato in stile veneziano e l'atmosfera è molto gradeevole. La camera tripla un po' piccola ma pulitissima e silenziosa, il servizio è svolto da personale cortese e competente.

Cerca de la ciudad vieja, buen WIFI, el cuarto comodo y el servicio correcto.Muy malo el Parking y de pago.

Personalet er meget opmærksomme og hjælpsomme. Man betaler for at have bilen i garage, men vi fik lov til at have den stående nogle timer efter checkout tidspunktet, uden at betale ekstra. Beliggenhed er i top og der var meget stille på værelset. Morgenmaden var ok, men kaffen elendig. Den var fra en automat. Man kan få kage til morgenmad! Vi ville hellere have haft noget mere frisk frugt og noget grovere brød.

Rart hotel, meget centralt beliggende og meget fint serviceniveau. Bilparkering er lidt kompliceret og dyr, men fin fin service omkring dette også.

San Luca tarjosi hyvän peruspalvelun keskellä kaupunkia mutta kovin etäällä rautatieasemasta. Kun haluasimme ja saimme lisävuorokauden, jouduimme vaihtamaan huonetta. Pettymys oli suuri, kun kahden hengen huone osoittautui loukoksi, jossa yhdenkin henkilön liikkuminen oli työlästä. Jo laukkujen avaaminen oli haastavaa.

밤 늦게 아레나에서 오페라가 마쳐서, 가까운 호텔을 찾았어요. 걸어서 5분안에 갈수 있고 가는길에 큰 슈퍼도 있어서 위치는 정말 좋았네요. (호텔 들어가는 골목 입구에 맥도날드가 있어요) 다른 관광지도 다 걸어서 구경할 수 있었답니다. 객실내에서도 와이파이 잘 잡혔구요, 조식도 깔끔했습니다.

Hyvä, rauhallinen hotelli mainiolla sijainnilla.

Vlakbij het historisch centrum van Verona en toch nog tamelijk rustig gelegen in een smal zijstraatje. Vriendeljk en gedienstig personeel en nette kamers.

Vi har hatt 3 kjempefine dager i Verona. Hotellet var bedre enn forventet, nyoppusset med mye marmorfliser og lyse farger. Delikat bad og uten uhygieniske teppe på soverommet. Madrassene var harde og putene ennå hardere. Frokosten var kjedelig stort sett i "forpakninger". Ellers er vi veldig godt fornøyd med oppholdet på hotel San Luca; hyggelig betjening, parkering under hotellet og flott beliggenhet i forhold til gamlebyen. Rolig og stille strøk. Kan anbefales!
