Pleasantly surprized at how nice this hotel was. Some rooms can be noisy from trains, but I was lucky to get a quiet room. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Breakfast good. I would definitely stay there again.

My daughters, 10 and 12, and I recently stayed at City Suites for Spring Break. We arrived on St. Pat's via the "L" and although we were over an hour early, we were able to check into our room right away. The room was very comfortable with plenty of space for the three of us. My girls loved the bath products. Breakfast each morning was nice with an assortment of breakfast sandwiches, cereal, bagels and pastries and coffee and juice. The location was great because we were right next to the "L" so it was very convenient to get everywhere we wanted to go. There is also a Trader Joe's in the neighborhood which was great. We used the in room fridge for goodies we picked up for lunches. The staff of the hotel was very friendly. The room was clean and although we were on the side with the "L" it was still quiet. The neighborhood is great with lots of restaurants and shops. The cinnamon rolls at Ann Sather's cannot be beat. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Chicago.

This hotel was advertised as a boutique hotel. It was run down, tired, in need of an update and in desperate need of a major cleaning. The L runs alongside the building, making any sleep between 6 AM and midnight near impossible and I’m a city girl. The toilet was running, I found black mold in the tank when I lifted it to jiggle the lever. RUN RUN RUN. I prepaid and was in no mood for a fight for a refund or I wouldve left.

This location is excellent because the Belmont el stop covers 4 train lines. The el stations were safe, clean , and convenient. Rooms on the el train side can hear the train announcements. Quieter on the other side. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast plentiful and there are great restaurants just outside the door. I'll stay here again for sure.

We went to Chicago to see a consert at the Aragon. The Hotel's location next to the train was an excellant fit. The shops and restraunts on the same block of the hotel were nice and provided an added bonus to the trip.

It's the perfect place, right off the Brown, reasonably priced, near some good restaurants, and with parking available a block away for a fee. I stay here everytime I'm in Chicago.

The room was great and the location couldn't be beat. I will definitely be staying here agian when I return to Chicago.

Everyone was very nice and would go out of their way to help you! The only down fall would have to be the train. FYI it runs all night! Other than that it was great!

Right next to Brown line, great access to whole city. Rooms clean, staff attentive, nice contintental breakfast and afternoon cookines. Hard to beat.

I really enjoyed my stay at the City Suites Hotel, Staff very friendly and helpful from check in till check out. Room very comfortable, down side to this hotel is it proximity to the EL, we could hear they platform announcements from our room, if you are a light sleeper this will most likely be a problem for you and I recommend staying somewhere else. The heat situation in the rooms with the radiators was a bit of an issue, not knowing a 100% how they work it did make the room temperature a little tricky to regulate. To me these minor issues would not keep me from stay at this hotel again (I will be staying here again in the spring to go to a Cubs game).

Our room was noisy due to refrigeration units located outside and below us. The manager moved us to another room immediately. The whole staff was very understanding. Our overall stay was very pleasant.

The location is great as you are right by the train station. However, the first room we were in we could hear the trains and the continual announcements that trains were departing/arriving. Our second room did not have that problem, but you could hear noise from the room above. Also, parking is not included.

This hotel is just about it´s good price for it's nice location as it is directly located beside the subway station. The noises of the subway are standable but during weekends the street is highly frequented by party people and therefore extremely noisy. Thus a room without window to the street is recommended. Our room was a bit dark but had all necessary equipment. Breakfast was fine but had to be taken in the lobby as there is no separate breakfast room.

rooms were small but clean. Next door to Brown Line El. Staf very helpful. Highly recommend.

Great location for public traffic, free wi-fi, restaurants nearby, but you have to pay the parking where is two blocks away from the hotel. I supposed it was free for parking. Anyway, overall is good

The hotel staff took the initiative to make sure I was on the quiet side of the hotel-- the trains didn't bother me at all. Great location.

It was real pleasure to stay at this hotel, I appreciated very much convenient location next to the Metro link ( 'El') station, comfort of the room with all I needed, actually very good breakfast advertsied as continental but much better than I would ever expect for such type of breakfast, very friendly staff, I myself did not miss anything and will surely stay at this hotel on next occasion again!

I was very happy with my stay at the City Suites Hotel. The service was very good. They had a decent breakfast in the mornings. The location was right next to an EL station.

Room was a bit small - like a Euro hote. Buiding is old but has great city charm. Large bathroom and nice, big tub. Steps from the Brown Line "el" made galavanting around the city easy. Great local restaurants within walking distance on Belmont.

Great location, up against the Belmont Train Station. That is both very good and slightly bad (noise).

Solid value, super chill and friendly staff, right next to public transportation (yes we heard the EL trains from our room but with the big heavy curtain drawn at night this was not an issue), nice continental breakfast with coffee that didn't suck, 24-hour eats nearby, mini-bar fairly priced. My one criticism is they could tone down the overly perfume-y cleaning products used in the hallways and entrances. Overall super satisfied and would return again,

If it weren't for the noisy train and continuous announcements over the train station PA system every hour after midnight and all night long, it would have been perfect. Perhaps a different side of the hotel would make a difference, but we got no sleep.

Friendly staff, great location. The sleeper couch wasn't great (we were 3 sharing a double room with a sleeper couch) and perhaps it would be a good idea to clean underneath it once in a while, but all in all a great deal.

I love the location of the hotel - its right off the Red Line and close to stuff in Boystown. Cost is great and the hotel is nice enough - nothing too fancy but nothing to complain about either. Staff very accommodating.

Perfect if you want a simple room in boys town to take care of personal needs when visiting Chicago. Ask for room 401. Never once heard the L from that room. If you plan it right and have a rental car get street parking at 4pm max it out till 6pm and it's free after six until8am. Only cost 3 dollars. In room amenities were awesome. Internet wifi, mini bar and fridge reasonable prices otherwise walgreens is down the street for bulb. And an additional fridge for your own beverages.

Very nice, older, hotel with easy walking distance to Wrigley Field and very close to Lincoln Park. Great location for all the Wrigleyville night life. Very helpful staff. Being an older hotel, the rooms are tight but they work. The most significant downside is that the hotel is right next tot he Red Line "L" train - a bit noisy. However, they serve great cookies at 4pm to make up for it.

The staff there were great and friendly. It was in a perfect location near the attractions for my trip. The room was very nice. I have been to Chicago multiple times and will definetely be revisiting this hotel. Close to the L train and walking distance to many shops and near Lincoln Park.

I didn't feel the value was there for the price I paid. I could have stayed downtown at the Hilton Palmer House for the same price. The hotel is old, smelly, dirty carpets and dark. The room had two very noisy old and broken window air condioners. I had to pay extra in order to have a room that was on the opposite side away from the L. The staff was friendly and the hotel tried with the amenities. But it just didn't feel comfortable. I would not recommend this hotel for the price I paid.

Finally a decent place to stay close to Wrigleyville! Not the most luxurious of hotels, but a very updated bathroom, nice beds, & separate living area. The staff is very nice and eager to please. Right next to the train so you can head downtown for dinner and a perfect walk to funky towns and bars in Wrigleyville before a Cubs game. Yes you can hear the train if you listen, but it wasn't an issue for us. Just make sure you put your blinkers on for the unloading zone, the parking police is all over you. $60 parking tickets aren't a very hospitable way to welcome us to the windy city.

Other reviews of this hotel said that the El train was intrusively loud, however we did not hear the train from our room, although we could hear people one floor up from us walking, which was really annoying/loud one night in particular. Room was great, quick walk to Wrigley Field, easy & cheap access to everywhere in Chicago (including the airport) via the train. The guy that checked us in and checked us out was awesome, although another front desk person was rude/insulting and it made me feel no love for this establishment. If you want to go to Wrigley stay here!

Had a wonderful stay at the City Suites. The hotel and room were very nice. The staff was friendly and courtious. The best part was the location.... steps from the Red Line (the L). Which made getting around super easy. I would go back in a heart beat and would recommend this place to anyone who needs a good place to stay thats no frills but comfortable and convienent.
