This is a very upscale and modern hotel. It was very convenient staying here with an early flight out of Munich. The staff was very obliging in all of our needs and requests. The room was spotless. We actually were able to have a king bed (not the typical German double bed) with a duvet; not two separate duvets. The pool/wellness center looked fantastic, unfortunately we did not have time to use the amenity.

You shower in the tub with no curtain! Room are outdated otherwise location is good, the RATE should be cheaper as it is quite expensive... It is just next to airport so I guess that's why they charge more.

I stay here a lot and would be nice to have got an upgrade - it's not cheap and there are other locations near the airport

A few notes; The hotel provided one bottle of complementary mineral water for two people. There was only one extra pillow in the closet, so that my husband folded his comforter to use as a back support. This is their policy. Tthese small details didn't seem in keeping with the chain's glitzy reputation. On a positive note, we had complementary shuttle service to our airline.

Overall excellent. My only critique is the hotels's distant loction from downtown. Best bet is to take metro or even better the relatively inexpensive On-off tour buses that come often and are quite convenient. This is an upscale hotel.

Great location! So easy to catch an early morning flight. Rental car return was literally a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Pool for the kids (a rare occurance in Europe). Great experience! Lovely staff.

After travelling for 31 hours we needed a place to sleep. Hotel Kempinski Munich Airport could not have been more convenient. It is 5 star with 5 star prices, but worth every cent. Refreshed and relaxed we could catch the connecting flight to Schipol the following morning to meet up with family.

the pillows squashed down to nothing but other than that a fantastic stay!

This is a quiet haven in the midst of a busy, efficient airport. It's modern, with excellent service, a great spa/swimming pool, and access to reasonable transport via S-Bahn to the important locations of the city of Munich. The buffet breakfasts are wonderful and extensive.

This hotel costs more than many other Munich airport hotels but is very convenient for an early flight. It is located next to Terminal 1 and is walkable to T2 but with a lot of luggage I was offered the free shuttle service (24 hrs on demand) that took 5 minutes or so. I wish I'd arrived early enough to make use of the gym/spa facilities as they looked very good.

Hotel clean & confortable. Did the job, somewhere to stay for an evening before heading into Munich for a busy day touring. Plenty of places in the airport to eat & drink.

I arived late from UK at Munich airport. I was upgraded to a better room which was lovely. I had in room service which was very good and I really cannot fault this hotel and staff. Always very friendly and I will visit them again.

The location of the Kempinski Hotel Airport Munich is unbeatable. with an early morning flight, We were able to make it to the gate in less than 10 minutes and were checked in promptly.

... stay at the Kempinski. It's in the airport. Looks a bit like a terminal too... But nice and great service. German beds are so hard though!

The hotel receptionist was rude and not efficient. They had a big queue all the time. We asked only if the process would take more than the 20 mins we had waited already. The receptionist told us it was our decision to check-in. She decided to then sign-in every person in the queue even the ones that arrived later. All her collegues saw it. Even the manager was around. Everybody observed the situation but nobody reacted. Some other staff persons apologized for her behaivor and helped us with directions to get into the city.

Have stayed at this location twice the night before a return flight to the states. Once wished I had used this as a base hotel during the vacation. A wonderful and relaxing respite before a long flight.

Good functional hotel for overnight stay for Munich Airport. Walk to terminals from hotel. Modern, save for the old CRT television in the rooms. Bath seemed outdated (maintenance) compared to the rest of the room and hotel.

Very convenient location situated between Terminals 1 & 2. Friendly and efficient staff. Good base for a short trip to Munich. Half an hour on S-Bahn to Munich central.

Was a very enjoyable stay. Airport shopping Sban to town, transportation to your gate when you fly out.

Great location to get to Munich airport, especially with an early flight. Service and people working there could not be better and the meals were an 8 to 9 or 10

The Kempinksi Hotel Airport Munich is a premier 5-star accomodation with walking distance convenience to Munich Frank Strauss Airport literally 3 minutes "walking" distance. Spectacular lattice hangar lobby with open atrium design, ultra modern, ultra clean, minimalistic chic. Had to mention because it is that good, best on my entire stay. Rooms very comfortable, but don't expect anything beyond standard room (which is Very Nice, don't get me wrong) with Hotels.com rates. Check-in was also the usual 5 star stepford wives routine don't smile you'll crack, but efficient. Restaurant was fabulous if you want fine dining, as well included (on my package) buffet breakfast ws the best I had my whole Euro-Stay, like three plates OMG....I have to stop! If you want a more selective fare, walk to the airport and trip on what a German Airport has for fast food (as in EVERYTHING you can imagine, not like our FAST FOOD) plus BIER joints of course. And most importantly, there is even a grocery mart with meals, wonderful meats and cheeses, as well impressive lovely wine selection (really good choices from Euro Wide) and save your money, and buy your chocolates and such things there at the market, great prices. Rooms all have cool views and full glass wall exterior views. Every amenity available.... Now the dirty....I suppose, can't put my finger on it, but I suspect that my 2nd floor room was for bucket rates accomadations perhaps, but the carpeting adhesive NOX factor is a "10" right when you hit the rug in the hallway. I mean "Woah"....no joke, but fortunately does not linger at ALL in the room. So if your sensitive to industrial adhesive odors, avoid second floor wing above bar, restaraunt, request other floor if possible. All in all, fantastic, worth the extras clams, and highly recommended....Enjoy~!

very comfortable room; efficient check-in and check-out. Only a 3 minute walk to airport terminal! Restaurant food was very good if a bit pricey.

I was in the hotel only from 8 pm to 7 am so all I can comment on is the convenience to the Munich Airport which is why I chose it. And, for that it was a great experience.

If you travel and don't need or like to see Munich or the area - this is the perfect stay

Lovely comfy room - really convenient for the airport... very modern

This is an excellent hotel located right next to the main airport terminal yet you would never know that you were were there with the quietness. The huge and tasteful atrium is very zen. The rooms are spatious and well equipped, as you would expect of a 5* hotel. This is my third visit for the Oktoberfest there. The S bahn rail service from the airport to the city centre is also excellent.

if you need hotel at the airport it is the best ,it will be great such a hotel in center city too. very good

The entire hotel is in dire need of renovation. Hallway carpets are filthy, room carpets are stained and dirty. We requested a King bed and received a room with 2 fold-out beds. The metal bed frame was bent and sticked way out, being hazardous to our feet. The bed ruffle was dirty, the coffee maker did not work, the towels were so thin and old, they did not dry. Water bottle could not be opened, because of no opener. Under the current condition: do not stay there! This hotel is not worthy to bear the " Kempinski " name.

Tired room with dirty carpet ... booked 6 months ahead and asked for two rooms adjoining or close together on the same floor ... we were give two rooms in different wings as far apart as was possible in the hotel, and had to traverse the lobby to travel between the rooms.

Kempinski Hotel is two hundred yards from the Munich Airport terminals. It si also walking distance from the rental car drop off location. This makes it a very convenient place to stay in prior to a morning flight.

Very convenient location but very expensive and no breakfast included.

The restaurant food was expensive and not good. The hotel rooms are small. Although the location is convenient, the price is just much too high for the value delivered. Service was exceptional, however, including a free shuttle ride to my specific terminal location (even though you could also walk).

Stayed for two nights. In town to pick up Audi car as part of European Delivery Program. Outstanding staff, excellent restaurant, reasonable pricing. Just a great stay overall. Small downside: 45 minute train ride to downtown Munich.

I expect staff in an airport hotel to efficient--but the staff (front desk, waiter in bar, waitress in restaurant, business center staff) at the Kempinski are downright friendly and helpful. Thr bar area has a good selection of food. It is a relaxed alternative to the more-formal restaurant.

Lovely hotel, perfectly situated for the airport terminals, yet very quiet and peaceful. Stimulating pool (probably 25 ms long!). Only negative I experienced was very long check in line. Breakfast buffet expensive, a la carte cheaper!
