Hyatt Regency Merida Hotel - ماردة

We stayed here for 3 nights in December. The hotel is clean and has a good selection for breakfast. We had rooms in the Regency Club so we got a good view of the city. Also, being in the Regency club entitled us to free apptizers and drinks every evening, and the breakfast was included with the package. Overall, this is a decent hotel just a few minutes walk from Paseo de Montejo (and Starbucks). However, you need a car (or a taxi) to get to downtown Merida where the action is. The horse carriage has a stop right in front of the hotel. We ate at the on-site Italian restaurant and while the entrees were good, the Pina Colada and Tiramisu was below-average. Also, only rooms in the Regency Club have rooms with connecting doors.

The hotel was very comfortable. It was situated a little far from the centre and thus made it a bit more difficult to visit places - we had to hire a car to get around the tourist sites. However, we expected this having looked at the location prior to booking and did not mind a half hour walk into town in the evenings. I would definitely recommend this place to others looking for a comfortable hotel in a peaceful location. If your plan is to visit the many sites around Merida and do not plan to get a car then this hotel is probably not for you.

My wife and I have travelled throughout the world and stayed at many hotels. I believed Hyatt was up to better standards than this. The service from the staff was good. However, one day our room was forgotten and not cleaned. My biggest complaint, eventhough very small, was I was charged from the room bar for using what I have always have been given as a gratuity. Coffee packs for the room coffee maker. Yes, the coffee packs that always make you gag, but yet you have to have some coffee while the wife is getting ready.

the pool has not umbrellas and the sun was very agressive, they need put them.

Hyatt Merida is a beautiful Hotel locate near the famous Motejo Ave, However it has beds that feel like a motel. You can feel the springs while you sleep, I wonder why a 4 star hotel has not yet change its beds to comparable to such beds as the heavenly beds at the Westin, no Westins in Merida... I have often stayed at the intercontinental and the Holiday Inn and both have better beds. The Hyatt has better amenities such as a beautiful pool (however due to location it is often too cold which hard to believe for Yucatan weather to swim in). The restaurants on the property are excellent. The buffet is reasonable except on Sunday brunch which is a little expensive for the entire family compared to other days.

Need more strategically placed electrical outlets in the room and brighter light bulbs next to bed

I was in Merida for a family affair and they suggested the Hyatt. The hotel externally looked above average and attractive. I loved the lounge in the lobby; the decor; the restaurant bistro Peregrino and the Fitness Center. My assigned room was 811 and here is where we go down hill. The floor hallway looks elegant and classy. My room had a nice king size bed but the mattress was a rock. The bathroom was spacy and nice. Nice minibar but the items were expensive. In fact bottled water went for $38 pesos whereas across the street at Oxxo's I got it for 8 pesos. So that gives you an idea. My room was pool view and indeed it was nice. Fiesta Americana was across the street from my window view. Wi-fi stunk. I had to pay almost $40 for a 3 day use. Ridiculous. Unfortunately, my room was around the corner from the elevators. Nestled between the elevator and my room was the Maid's storage closet. This made for horrible nights as you can hear the elevator mechanisms taking guests up and down and the elevator doors opening and closing. The maids would come to replenish from the closet door opening and slamming the doors. This drove me crazy. After a long day of traveling, I decided to take a nap when 20 minutes later, out in the hallway and in front of my room door, was this loud noise of a bunch of people laughing and talking. it turns out that most of the 8th floor was assigned to a large family that were gathering for a wedding and they all were catching up in the hallway. I was ready to call security. I tolerated it for 30 minutes and then they went to their rooms. To compound the problem, the halls are echo-ey so throughout my entire 3 day stay, children would come off the elevator talking, yelling, loudly and running to their rooms while being chased by their siblings and my nerves were frayed. There was a baby opposite my room who was constantly crying. The best part had yet to come. It was the famous wedding party of saturday nite. I went to relax by the pool and have

Fue muy agradable, el personal es muy amable, la ubicacion esta ideal, solo que es un poco antiguo, sus camas, pisos y acabados. Sus desayunos deliciosos

Buen hotel, pero el hecho de que te cobren por servicios básicos como el Internet o el café de cortecia podrían mejorarlo. por lo demás aceptable.

Le hace falta un muy buen mantenimiento a la alberca, ya que uno de los focos flotando, muchas areas de oxidación en las parades

Fantastic hotel, very pretty! Fantastic staff, so helpful and friendly. They really couldn't do enough for you! Fantastic location, close to the ado, us embassy, restaurants, stores everything is close by! The rooms were lovely and the minibar was very reasonably priced. I give it 10 out of 10 and definitely recommend it to everyone! Pedro from the frontdesk was very professional and friendly!

Esta diseñado mas para atención a gentes de negocios y esa debe de ser su enfoque , las familias creo que necesitan mejores ofertas de atención y paquetes que acerquen al cliente con el hotel,su entorno y los accesos a otros sitios turísticos.

Familienfreundliches Hotel, mit einem ausgezeichnetes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Hervorheben möchte ich das tolle Frühstücksbuffet und den zuvorkommenden Service in den Restaurants. Der Pool ist nicht sehr gross und hatte etwas viel Chlor, aber badferien will wohl niemand in Merida machen und für die kleine Abkühlung zwischendurch reicht es allemal. Noch als Hinweis. Ein grosser Walmart ist ca. 100m vom Hotel entfernt. Bis ins Zentrum sind es etwa 20min zu Fuss oder wenige Minuten mit dem Taxi.
