the staff was great and the room was good....breakfast was good.....

Hotel is older but clean and well maintained. The breakfast area is more of a nook so don't expect any grand breakfast buffet . The rooms are large, spacious and comfy. One of the beds (we had two double beds) was a bit soft and lumpy but the other one was perfect. Water pressure was great and e weren't too disturbed on the 3rd floor by airport noise. Slept like a baby. Shuttle from Airport and to Port of Miami was FANTASTIC!!

We were there from 8 pm to 3:30 am, to catch an early flight. Unfortunately the phone rang 5 different times, with no one answering? The night manager was very nice and finally blocked the phone. We did receive an apologetic email, which was appreciated! Also, the location of this hotel, although very close to the airport is not easily accessed. Make sure you map this well before driving to the hotel..The hotel was clean and very close to the airport. I am sure the phone ringing is not a common occurance!!

It was alright, for over night. easy to get to the Port, has Shuttle Bus to and from Airport and to the Port. Hot Breakfast was alright.Room was clean but need to fix the sink, water flow was so slow.Desk was helpful.I like it here because of shuttle bus. but, for a week I do not know, Restaurant was only one close by. and It wasn't good foods.

Price was great; cleanliness good; Breakfast fantastic; Excellent location; Staff friendly and helpful; Transportation to cruise ship excellent

My stay at La Quinta was great. Very clean hotel, spacious room, cable TV, nice amenities, and literally across the street from the airport. For the price, I would absolutely stay here again.

arrived @ 2:30 a.m. after flying all day wanting nothing more than to sleep. surprised to find 6 guests waiting to check in.-not a speedy process. room had musty odor/smoky? - could use air freshener (ie: fabreeze). room price should be lower for what was there - merely adequate - paying for close location to MIA bed comfortable Also there were numerous fliers shoved under door - apparently hotel is open to outsiders questioning safety of guest - just saying.

We've stayed in several La Quinta's. The bed was SUPER comfortable, had plenty of pillows, good hot water and all the conveniences for the night before an early flight. Breakfast worked for me, but not my picky husband lol. The typical continental breakfast so I was good. The free shuttle was great....however it does NOT run 24 hours. I believe it was 6am-10pm or something. On the way back, we landed at 7pm. I called the hotel and they said the shuttle driver was about to take a break and they offered us to take a cab, and they would reimburse us with a receipt. Talk about service...BEST La Quinta yet. Thank you for the exceptional service!

The staff could not have been more pleasant or helpful. They had free airport and cruise terminal shuttle services and other types of transportation available for reasonable fees. We spent the night prior to a cruise; but they allow us to store our luggage upon our return from the cruise since our flight didn't leave until late without any added charges. Absolutely amazing service!

The hotel was really great to stay at before we left on our cruise, transportation from the airport and to the port the next morning was great!

good value. no charge for dog. however, loud due to closeness of airport. no towels at pool.

The room was clean, check in a bit rough as it took awhile to be noticed due to a tongue lashing a hotel employee was giving another guest about pillows in Spanish. We stood there at the front desk for 5 minutes or more before someone else, who was on the other side of the "discussion" called to us. Also, it was frustrating that we had to struggle to find a taxi because the shuttle quits at 11 PM. Although we tried calling the hotel a few times to find out about the shuttle with no answer, we finally found the information on a sign by baggage. If they would have answered the phone, we might have gotten a shuttle ride instead, apparently the staff was to busy. breakfast: toaster burnt bread and otherwise was typical breakfast... including a waffle. Overall it was a clean place to crash before our next flight in the morning, but sadly not worth the money especially due to a lack of customer service. We hope they put some of our room cost into retraining. We didnt feel welcome :(

I was worried walking in, but the rooms were nice, clean and in much better shape than the common areas. Disappointed that they advertised a 5am breakfast, but when I got there is was at 6am! So I didn't get breakfast!!

Old faded and stained carpets, and dirty wall and trim paint combined with a room rate that should be 1st class made this disappointing. They could never get away with these rates and the condition of the hotel if it wasn't near the airport. The bed was comfortable and the staff was nice but I paid about hundred dollars more than I should have.

This hotel was clean and comfortable for one night before leaving for our cruise. The free shuttle from the airport and free bus to the cruise terminal in the morning, along with the breakfast, made this a great value for our family. Being right next to the airport, there was some noise from jets taking off and landing, but our room was in the back and it really wasnt a big deal. There was a Bennnegans Resturant next door to the property to get a bite to eat for the evening - service there was poor, but there is nothing else nearby.

I was thinking that the hotel is near all shopping center and the port and they offer according to their advertising shuttle to shopping and the port but they only offer free shuttle to the port, no restaurant around except one and is very expensive and not many food to choose from.

Rooms are dated. Tile in bathroom was a bit worn and masonary was cracked. Small bathroom. Breakfast was ok for continental. Shuttle to the hotel was very good. No problems.. Very quick service. Good hotel for overnight to the Marina for our cruise. Would stay there again for this reason.

Very basic hotel filled with people tranfering to cruise lines. There must be a lot of smokers in the hotel because it smelled like smoke.It is located in the middle of an industrial park near the airport. The main thing it ihas going for it is it is cheap and close to the airport.

was close to the port loved the free shuttle loved all the resterants that delivered

Five members (four adults and one toddler) of our family overnighted here between flights. Everything was perfect - clean well appointed rooms, friendly staff both on arrival and the following morning, comprehensive breakfast, efficient and free shuttle bus (the information desk at Miami airport called the hotel for us). We shall certainly be using this hotel on future trips (three of the family have already booked for their return trip).

Great service and friendly staff. I stayed for a night before a cruise and this hotel provides shuttle from the airport to the hotel but too bad for me that they stop around 11:00pm. If you must use a taxi from MIA its only $11. In the morning the hotel served breakfast downstairs in the lobby and provide free transport to the port. They also offered me transport from the port to MIA for only $10 per head when I returned from the cruise.

Speedy airporter; good driver.

The room had a horrible stench...I tried to call room service multiple times but the lady, 'Jessica' or 'Jennifer' never picked up the phone. I just stuck it out, because I had an early morning meeting. This was my worst hotel experience in my life.

The pillows were way too small.

All I can say is I would have never booked this place if the BCS Championship Game was not in town and all my regular hotels were booked up. I guess they can get away with charging these kinds of rates in peak season. The hotel next door (an old Red Roof Inn) was boarded up and the pavement leading into the hotel was like a war zone. That should tell you something about the quality of the neighborhood it was in. La Quinta should be ashamed of this place. Not up to their standards at all.

The rooms could do with a refurb, looking a little tired, and the bathroom has signs of mildew and peeling wall paper. Also no coffee maker, but there was a fridge? However, the sheets and covers were clean with white comforters - which I prefer over the patterned covers which disguise dirt and stains. Best of all, and the reason I chose this place over somewhere with better reviews and star ratings was the convenience of being able to park the car in their own large, fenced lot while we were away (basically they add $8 onto the nightly fee). The shuttle ran every 15mins to and from LAX and was prompt and convenient. So it was perfect for our early flight, and convenient over parking at a lot and then having to get to a hotel.

Average one nighter hotel. Breakfast was overly crowded and wasnt very nice

The hotel staff were very nice. The room was quiet and clean. Because it is SO close to the airport, we were a little concerned about what we would find. Trying to find it took us a long time because there are no signs at the road indicating the entrance. The hotel is surrounded by one-way four lane highways so access is difficult. But once we found it, we enjoyed our stay. It is perfect for a one night stay before a cruise.
