NOT MUCH. WE WERE IN THE BATON ROUGE AREA FOR A VIETNAM VETERANS REUNION.WE WERE ALL INVOLVED IN A BATTLE ON MARCH 21 1967.(BATTLE OF SOUI TRE) ONE OF OUR FELLOW VETERAMS LIVE IN THE AREA. TWO YEARS AGO WE WENT TO THE LA QINTA IN PLANTATION FLORIDA. BASED ON THAT EXPERIENCE WE CHOSE THIS ONE. BIG MISTAKE. THE POOL WAS CLOSED. THE HOTEL IS PRIMARLY UESD BY CONSTRUCTION PEOPLE. NOT WHAT WE EXPECTED..IT WAS OVERPRICED FOR THE CONDITION. MY WIFE AND I CHECKED INTO A CLARION IN GONSALVES LA FOR NOT MUCH MORE .I RECOMENDED THIS LOCATION TO MY FREINDS, BIG MISTAKE.ROOM SMELLED OF SMOKE. RESERVATION FOR MY FELLOW VETERANS WAS MIXED UP.ROOM WAS DIRTY. FURNITURE WAS BADLY STAINED.PHONE CORD WOULD NOT STAY IN PHONE.DO I NEED TO CONTINUE? POOL WASN'T OPENED ..FLORIDA LOCATIONS KEEP POOLS HEATED IN MARCH.. MORE LIKE A 39.99 MOTEL.

I fine the hotel not to clean , i won't stay there again to many construction worckers in & out. This hotel don'T COMPARE TO la quinta in florida.

I enjoyed my stay I really like the fact that my dog was able to stay in the hotel with me.

Great location , everyone was friendly ... I would stay again and would recommend it ...

Hotel is older and a little worn. Room was clean. Bed comfortable and mattresses new. TV worked well and had good range channels. Stayed 2 nights, Friday and Saturday. Room did not get made up Friday which could have been because we didn't pull the do not disturb tab until about 10:00am Saturday. Breakfast bar was OK except for banannas which were badly bruised. We normally stay at the Fairfield but since it was Superbowl weekend, there weren't a lot of rooms available in the south Baton Rouge area. It was a little pricey for quality of room we got.

It was nice and I felt that my.money was worthed.

The hotel seems to be past its prime It just felt low class.

Staffs are really friendly. We stayed a night in our way to Destin.

THE ROOM WAS CLEAN. ONE OF THE DRAWERS WOULDN'T CLOSE ALL THE WAY.(NOT A BIG ISSUE). EMPLOYEES WERE VERY FRIENDLY

The hotel staff were very friendly and nice. We stayed the night for the LSU v. Alabama game. A shuttle was provided between the hotel and the stadium. The condition of the rooms is a bit run-down. Bathrooms needed updating - dirty floors, old showerhead and tub. Sinks were outside of bathroom in hallway area. Beds comfortable, but were older styles.

Walls are SUPER-thin so you hear everything happening in other rooms and especially in the hallway. Very sketchy hotel.

average highway ramp hotel. Overpriced, but so was just about every hotel in the Baton Rouge area.

a/c not in good working order, insufficient parking had to go elsewhere to park . objectionable odor (smoke smell) bathtub not in good working order looked as though crack had been insufficiently repaired we have used hotel in other areas and were so pleased this was definately not your usual quality

This hotel is old, dingy and noisy. Some guests were smoking pot in their rooms, it was awful. Room was small and nasty.

A BIT NOISY, THE GUESTS ACROSS THE HALL, AND THE A/C UNIT NEXT DOOR WAS LOUD. THE NEXT NIGHT WE MOVED TO ANOTHER LOCATION CLOSER TO THE RIVER CENTER AND ALL WAS RIGHT WITH THE WORLD AGAIN.

Thank you for such a nice stay. The staff, room, pool, everything about the hotel was exceptional.

Close to a great mall and pet friendly, but Landscaping a mess, pool water overflowing, back door to stairwell unlocked, holes around shower head and toilet paper holder, juice not working in the morning. Overpriced for the condition.

It would have been much better had we not been placed in a "smoking" room. We both are non-smokers, and the entire floor smelled of smoke as did our room. Our clothes and everything we brought in soon were permeated with smoke. THe attendant told me after we had already checked in that they do not guarantee non-smoking rooms, and there was not another one available. Be Ware.

Poor housekeeping services for the room. Location was hard to enter and exit. The internet was flakey. Breakfast bar was not a clean area.

We were on our way to New Orleans and wanted to visit the shopping center near the Hotel. the employees were very helpful with additional towels and were helpful in the operation of the various machines for use with the continental breakfast

Needs an upgrade, not worth the price!!!

The staff was excellent! Very friendly and helpful! Would definetly stay again.

I chose this hotel during a crosscountry roadtrip because, it seemed to be in a safe neighborhood and dogs stay free. Although the hotel was a little bit out of the way, it was surrounded by shopping and dining options and seemed to be in a safe neighborhood. The hotel does look like a dump on the outside, but like people "it's what's inside that counts." The first time I stayed here my room was exceptionally clean and the staff was warm and welcoming. On my next visit the room wasn't as clean-- the floors needed to be swept, mopped and vacuumed. I'll stop here again on my next trip through Baton Rouge.

Was in Baton Rouge to visit my son at LSU and watch LSU-Arkansas game. I travel a bit for business and understand that not all hotels are the same. Location was good, but knowing that La Quinta has been "improving" themselves, I was very disappointed. My younger son 13, was with me...he could not believe how the smell of smoke was in the room. We were in a non-smoking room. Could not adjust temp in room, only 2 towels, and TV channel selection was weak. Only 1 night, not sure if price was worth it, will not stay again.

Good Clean and Friendly. Perfect for the price in my opinion.

Hotel itself was ok but you could hear people walking outside the room and from the floor above. It was noisy and you can hear traffic. The beds were ok to sleep in. Staff was nice and called to make sure room ok. Hotel smelled old and musty and needs makeovee. The a /c worked great. Room had small frig and microwave. You get what you pay for.

I picked this hotel due to it's location and my vague recollection that La Quinta usually had decent hotels. However, upon arriving I was very disappointed. Often the sensor on the front door malfunctioned ("It always does this" the front desk said) and wouldn't open unless we moved around to odd positions. The hotel overall was run down and smelled of smoke. I forgot my toothbrush and called the front desk, but they had run out of extras. They had a sign up informing us that the pool was out of order. They ran out of hot water around 8 am. In my opinion there are better places nearby for similar prices. This place reminded me of a cheap motel. The only thing good was our beds were clean and comfortable.

Front desk ladies & hotel manager were friendly, but that's about it. Housekeepers and other staff basically have no smile and can't see you at all when you pass by. Bed is comfy, room is clean, but that's it. Air condition can't be turned off, so I was freezing the whole night. Water leaked the whole time from the maching, make the carpet wet & create noise of dripping. Some hallway lights were broken and nobody replaced it after 2 days, so it gets dark the whole time. There were kids playing ball in the hallway, no one stoping them. You heard it clearly when people slammed doors. The only good thing is the location. It is very convenient from this hotel to 3 plazas, Target & Walmart are within 5 minutes drive. That's exactly why it could charge you so much juding by the poor service & room condition.

This is an older hotel that has been "renovated" The rooms are great ( at least mine was) clean and modern except for TV and Tub- Renovation is on "what you see first" New Granite Vanity but old coated (paint) tub, etc. The Lobby area looks ok at first glance (weird doors) and the Breakfast Area is appealing....however closer inspection shows flaws and public areas that are lacking up keep. Stay was ok...staff is really good, you can tell they are working on "customer service". The price was good for the area but for a few dollars more, I think you could get much more overall quality. The immediate area has a number of older hotels, with questionable clientele. Most likely won't stay there again...as I travel to Baton Rouge often, just haven't found a favorite yet. Based my reservation on the majority of reviews as good- I'de have to say "just average"

The hotel was not clean. Desk people were very nice. Would never stay there agan
