skip the breakfast - stale rolls, fake eggs, flimsy plastic plates

Good location and close to WMU. Good price and great breakfast. Room had a strange arrangement with sink in separate room from shower. Otherwise roomy.

The building looks like every other - on the side of a highway. Room was decent, needs to be updated. But the staff was all very friendly and helpful, and they allow pets which was why we chose this hotel. Overall, I'd go back if I had to be in K-zoo on a budget...

very nice breakfast !!!!!!!!!! room was clean and very nice people.

Hotel was further out of town than we hoped - we had no car. Staff didn't know about bus service. Hairdryer didn't work in one of our rooms. Loo overflowed in another of our rooms, fortunately another room was available. Continental breakfast (included in price) was better than expected.

Showers were cold, manager not receptive in person or on the phone. It was a packed hotel so they really should have turned up the temp on the hot water heater. He came right out and called patrons liars, that they probably did have hot water, when in fact, no one did. Not impressed with management.

Awesome price, great location-close to town but secluded. Very clean and quiet.

We arrived very late, had to wait twenty minutes for someone to come to the desk, the room was a little worn, beds were not comfortable. Location is handy.

Because they are not very extremely far from a few bad areas of Kalamazoo they are a good bargain if you need to find a place at the last minute.

I stayed in the jacuzzi king room. It was clean and overall, my stay was relaxing. It seemed pretty quiet. It did take me awhile to check in (there was a line and the computer seemed to be going slow and there was only one girl behind the counter) and that was a little annoying. The parking lot had a few potholes and there were some tears in the wallpaper in the room. But it seemed clean and secure. Check in time at this hotel is 3 PM which isn't what it said on the website.

Hotel was nice for short stay but not a vacation hotel more of a work hotel.

Baymont serves up a consistently good level of service and nice rooms.

Rooms need upgrading in a bad way....30 minutes after checking in, the front desk assigned our room to another tenant. Nice surprise for both of us when they opened our door. Strange enough the front desk didn't seem to mind much when we mentioned it later that night. Breakfast in the morning was nothing to get excited over but there are plenty of restaurants close by.

The manager was awaiting our arrival with our room information ready and waiting. Free breakfast was substantial with a good selection. Our room was clean and as described in listing. Definitely will use this hotel again.

pillows very uncomfortable,woke with stiffness in my neck. food was not cleaned out of refrigerator

The hotel room was sub par at best. Even though we informed them after our booking by phone that we required the roll away, they informed us at check in that it was an additional $10. It then came to the room with no bedding. When we finally got the bedding, the pillow had no pillow case. In the morning, the breakfast was poor with the eggs having an unusual crumbly texture. Donuts were broken and stored in a crusty covered case. Likewise the waffle maker was crusted and all outside surfaces. Finally, I forgot my toothbrush and when I approached the desk for one, they informed me that they were all out, but they did have toothpaste. Overall the stay was a poor experience.

My family and I were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. Baymont's usually rate high in our book and this one did not let us down. Staff were very friendly and helpful; especially at our late hour check-in when the desk staff were struggling with their printer. The only knock I can give is with regard to the heating/cooling unit in the room because the auto function was not working, so it was either have it on or off all night. Off was not an option for winter time in Michigan, so woke up to an extra dry mouth and throat. Not ideal, but certainly liveable!

Overall, very nice. The computer plug-in in our room didn't work, but the wi-fi did. The breakfast buffet was very good - plenty of choices.

overall the stay was pleasant and very enjoyable. New Year's Eve was the only unpleasant night which was not the fault of the Hotel, but the fault of the Holiday and those who choose to over do things. It was very loud until about 5am when the guest in the neighboring room contiinued to be extremely loud and took the party up and down the hallway that particular night. Again we had a very pleasant stay on 2 of 3 nights. Staff was helpful and nice. I was disappointed that there was no onsite fitness club, pool or spa of some sort.

The hotel needs to be renovated. The shower would not go to spray and stayed on straight stream when I tried to adjust it. There were no linens in the room at all. The room and the hallway were dirty and the wallpaper was peeling off the wall in the room.

Good value for the price and good location right off highway. Easy to find and get to, with friendly and accommodating staff. Had some issues with our TV and refrigerator in our room and they immediately gave us a new room.

Always a very clean hotel with very comfortable beds and large rooms. Great place to stay when in Kalamazoo!

This is the 2nd year in a row we have stayed at this hotel while visiting family in Kalamazoo. This hotel is clean and comfortable. The room had a flat screen tv and a refrigerator and a microwave. The bed and pillows smelled clean and were comfortable. Breakfast was basic but wasn't bad. No pool and no workout room but I knew that when I booked. Price went up since last year but still was lower than most. Overall good stay and better than I would expect from a 2 star hotel.

Rooms were much better than expected from outside condition. New carpet and very well maintained. Great for a business trip. Good value.

We were very disappointed with the linen on the bed. The bottom sheet didn't fit the mattress and in the middle of the night you would wake up with the sheet pulled off the corners and you were sleeping on the mattress. This was most uncomfortable. This was the condition on the 1st night so we sk to have the sheets changed and it was even worse the 2nd night. Otherwise all else was ok.

Unfortunately, we were not able to spend any time there. Only to sleep. Did not have any problems or issues. Overall we were happy with our choice of stay.

The bed was so comfortable I wanted to stay longer. I could have stayed in the bed all day. The pillows were perfect. The room was quiet even with our room being right across from the elevator. When we are in the area again, we will definitely be staying here again.

While the overall hotel was nice enough, I think we were put in the worst possible room. Hotels sometimes do this to discounted rate bookings. Ours was a main floor, handicapped room. Although the room itself was fine, it had a rather difficult shower unit. We were across from all the machines, those being the soda, snack and ice, as well as the entry to the pool area. In addition, an exterior exit to the designated smoking area was right beside us and the doors closed somewhat hard. Not the most peaceful and relaxing stay we ever had.

Very close to the highway without noise. Has a great fitness center next door that can be used during your stay. Large breakfast area with more options than most. Only complaint is the attendant in the breakfast area was very lazy. Had no gravy the 20 minutes we were in the area and she moves around very slow and not concerned..

We would never stay at this Baymount again. The room had chips and peanuts on the floor from previous tenant...the halls were filthy....needed vacuuming desperately!!! The towels were ragged and very dingy and old!! On the "up" side the beds were comfortable! To me there is no excuse for lack of cleanliness!!! Even in a college town hotel!! We have chosen a different hotel this next time....hope it is better!!

the room was some what clean .did not know they allow dogs and cat in the rooms .hair all over not happy with that .will not stay there again
