Landmark Village Hotel - سنغافورة

Very disappointed by Hotel. We waited a considerable time to be served on arrival and the reception staff were disinterested, We found the carpets in the passageways and room very shabby. The room contained no information about the Hotel's sevices. It was difficult to book a shuttle bus to the airport the following morning. We would have liked to have had a light breakfast before leaving but the 2 restaurants only served full buffet breakfasts and there were no shops open outside the Hotel. When we mentioned this on check-out we were told we should have ordered a Room Service breakfast. With no Hotel information in the room this was not possible. Overall, the hotel did not live up to its Star rating.

The hotel is located to Arab street, Bugis MRT station and Little India. You can find yum arabic food close by. 7 eleven right infront of the hotel.

Generally, hotel is a bit worn out and facilities not up to modern standard. No free wifi. Room are good size but lack of maintenace and carpet stained with dirty. Toilet small. Lobby filed with bad smell. Location convenient,

A surprisingly decent though not outstanding hotel that has seen better days. Staff was helpful but early am checkout slow with only one clerk. Bellman arranged for 3am taxi and it was on time. room was large on high floor with great city views above thieves market. In a rather eclectic, ethnic neighborhood with accessability to hop on hop off bus with ticket, Little India and inexpensive food iin the area if you are not eating only American . free wi-fi would have been handy. Nice rooftop pool.

Poor Housekeeping and very late. My room did not get attended until at 2 pm despite request from front desk at 9 am. Toilet floor uneven resulting water ponding at one corner. Carpet - old and dirty. Room dusty especially at window area. Bell service staff not very helpful. Despite both hands are attending to luggage bell staff are not coming forward to open door for entry to hotel entrance. Lift - on several occasion card reading failed hence card has to be reprogrammed for lift passage and room entry. Reception staff - less than helpful and slow. During check in I had to be transfered to thre service counter ( reason explained pc was malfunction and internet service not working).

Hotel landmark is very convenient when it comes to location. Needs improvement when it comes to the lobby of hotel as when you enter smells food. But when you reached your room it's fine. We had a great time staying there, kids enjoy the pool as well. And the room size is big enough if you have kids with you especially the one they gave us is connecting room.

A very convenient hotel with easy access to most shopping area.

quite convenience, 2 minute to MTR, 40 minutes to airport (from hotel to airport includes walking distance). no shopping centre around hotel.

Very convenient location right near the MRT and lots of local flavour. You can get breakfast in a local cafe for $3 so don't eat at the hotel unless it's complementary. I am a repeat visitor here and really like it.

Landmark Village hotel was good choice for one night stop before leaving to the Airport. Close to Bugis metro stop, Bugis Junction (shopping center) nearby. The pool was also ok. Breakfast was not included in the price but we paid it separately (the Moon Chai Restaurant) but we can't recommend that to anyone.

Great , However air con too cold and could not change . Great service from desk but a little too slow with only 1 person on counter mostly. Good location only short walk to MRT. Would recommend and stay again.

The Landmark Village Hotel was ideal for our holidays in Singapore. However the air con was set far too low and could not be adjusted to a comfortable temperature with the thermostat. Although there was a switch at the bed side table to turn it off, whenever we left the room and pulled out the key card, the air con automatically turned on so when returning from our excursions the room felt like a freezer again. A lot of energy and consequently money could be saved if the temperature could be adjusted to a comfortable level. I definitely would rate this hotel higher if it was not for the air conditioning.

A decent accommodation with basics complete.For Indians it has exclusive buffet though the spread is just about ok. Clean rooms and the staff was accommodating as we had two room. In fact they upgraded our room to deluxe from superior.

I stayed here only for convenience for work but it is not the best hotel that is for sure. It is close to Bugis MRT if you are using that to get around. I found the waits for the lifts/ elevators to be frustratingly long and accessible only w/ the key card for security to your own floor. Not convenient when you friend stays on another floor. The tiles were cracked and grout work was messy, silicon was used to fill large holes and looked unattractive. Not that it matters that much but you expect better quality for the price....the main thing was the waiting for elevators why I would not stay there again.

Excellent!!

We booked this hotel on line and the photos and condition of the hotel looked really good and the reviews were well read. However, when we got to our room the carpet was very old, the bathroom was not very clean as it should have been. The tiles were chipped and staines and holes were in the tiles. The bathroom really needed modernising. The A/c was very cold in the room and the temperature dial did not work. The smell of the hotel was very obvious and quite horrible every time you walked through the lobby area. On the whole we were very disappointed in this hotel for the money that was paid per night. However the location is ok with the Burgis market and food area close by and the staff were reasonably courteous. The pool area was reasonable. On a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 4, sorry to do this but we were very diappointed.

Average hotel in reasonable location. Easy walk to Bugis mall and MRT station. Room needed refurbishing, but in ok condition. Don't bother with breakfast, just go to the mall.

We loved the Landmark Village, so glad to be in a more characterful neighbourhood than Orchard Road. It's really close to the MRT, there are taxis right outside if you prefer, the staff couldn't be more helpful. The Pool isn't great for small children but there are floats & stuff for them, and there could be more shade by the pool, but this is a minor quibble and I'd happily book there again.

This is a hotel emant for Tourists and consequently services are poor/mediocre in line with that. Restaurant/Coffee shop is alwyas crowded with large travel groups and hence service is poor. Not a place for stay by Business travellors

The 4 of us were so glad to stay 4 nights here, although the room rate kinda expensive & they don't have flat TV but the room is very clean & cozy. Our kids love the swimming pool. Overall this hotel is in a very good location & easy access to MRT or to get some food by walk. Definitely we'd like to come back staying here someday :)

Highly reccommed this hotel. Was not flash but had all the things needed - shower, bed, coffee, tv, pool & do it yourself washing facilities. We dont beleive in paying heaps of money for a room that your hardly in. Pool area was great, had floaties and kick boards for the kids. And close to the tables and chairs so we could enjoy a drink while watching them swim. Chose this hotel as it was resonable in price and also accomodated our request of joining rooms. We would stay here again. Not a far ride to the main city, and close walk to araab street stalls & Bugis Street Markets.

Fantastic convenient location. Worth paying extra for an Exective Room which gives access to the Executive Lounge offering coffee and drinks all day (including Happy Hour in the early evening)

We stayed here for 9 nights and would recommend it to others. We booked two rooms and were pleased to see that reception managed to get us into adjoining rooms. The hotel room was very clean and the maid service was good. Whilst the rooms were a little tired in terms of decor, they had all we wanted and provided a great base to explore the City from. If you want 4-5 star this is not the place for you, but if you want a reasonable quality 3 stay hotel with friendly staff then it's worth staying here...

The hotel is located in the Arab district in Singapore, close to lots of great little Arab restaurants & not too far from the city center. The hotel is quite old & gives the immediate impression of needing a full makeover. I stayed during the peak season so the price was higher and I thought quite expensive given the age & decor of the hotel. Single bed the first night was quite hard & of the 2 pillows, 1 was too hard & the other too soft for me. The furnishings were very spartan & there were lots of marks & scratches, a sign of age. Bathroom was also very small & simple & sealing around the bathtub was very messy & mildew had formed in the corners. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, in Sangapore.

great location.. lovely pool area. Room was average - needed a bit of an update. Only downside to this hotel was that there are no areas to relax in other than the pool area. Reception was like being in a cinema foyer! Would recommend avoiding weekends as there are big wedding receptions that means the whole place is overrun..

a few hawker food stalls in the complex would be great.

Prior to arrival it is very very vital to see from this hotel if the room will be available upon checkin.

The room was slightly on the small side for 3 beds. as the room has kingsize bed with a put you up bed. that said, there is a door that connect s you with the next hotel room,which you can hear the television/noise of who is in there. Staff very polite & helpful.

I stayed here with a mate in a twin room as our accommodation at friends fell through only 2 weeks to arriving for the F1 GP. I hunted on Hotels.com and due to the late time frame we had limited options at a reasonable rate. I read the reviews and they were good and bad. I spend 6 months a year in 5 star hotels in Australia so I wasn't expecting too much. Our room was a Deluxe and the hotel placed us on the 14th floor. We were very suprised to find the room spacious, clean and all around very acceptable. I also read reports of exess noise from outside but I must say that once the window was closed (i love the fact that we could actually open one) the room was silent and the drapes blacked the room out completely. The single (we had a twin room) bed I had was extremely comfortable. We did find that the controls for the aircon were not very responsive and the room was cold but with the window open it was almost perfect and at night with the window closed it meant that it was comfortable once tucked under the quilt. The pool area was fantastic, a little tired but all in all very pleasant and the food and drinks around the bar were fine. Taxi's are cheap in Singapore and a cab was about $5 from the F1 Circuit to the hotel. All in all I would definately stay there again.

Hotel is in extremely poor condition, a lot to be desired. Carpet is dirty with stains. I was even wondering if some aspects of cleanliness here wouldn't normally impact the operating license. A/C cannot be adjusted properly - the minimum setting is already quite strong, so much so that the room was freezing (usual temperature outside in SG is 30C!). Cosmetics in the bathroom are of very poor quality too. Hotel interior is at the same standard, expect maybe the ground floor lobby, which is only slightly better.

The title pretty much summarizes my experience. Singapore is expensive, and finding an average hotel at convenient rates with a good location was my primary decision concern (traveling with family). This hotel is close to a subway station (important to go from and to the airport), close to city center and attractions, on the path of almost all turist buses. Landmark Village is not the best place if you pretend to spend a lot of time in the hotel, but it is convenient if you are visiting the city for a few days and you plan on spending most of your time outside.

my engineer is overall satisfied with it. so I have no complain. will recommend hotel to others. , except the restaurant on the same floor of reception does not serve really good food. , consider ing singapore is famous for its good food. I took my engineer for dinner there and was disappointed.

Landmark Village Hotel is probably ok for the price, but I'll look for something else next time I go to Singapore. There was a little bit of mold on the bathroom ceiling and some white towels were not immaculate or were too worn out. The warmest temperature of the air conditioning was way too cold and we had to leave it off all night. It seems to be extremely popular for hosting wedding receptions (3 nights out of 6), which flooded the hotel halls and taxi lines in the evening a bit over what I would have liked.

Landmark Village is not a cheap budget hotel. But its not expensive either. Its great value for what you pay. The hotel is fairly clean, although my bathroom had a hair or two that belonged to someone else on more than one occasion. The hotel is old, so expect a lot of 70s style mirrors and dark colored granite. The air conditioner was either too cold or too warm. The beds were wonderfully hard and comfortable and the pillows were nice and fluffy. The housekeeping staff were a bit nosy even when a "don't disturb" sign was place on the door. The breakfast buffet was adequate. The coffee was terrible, but then coffee at the Fullerton wasn't all that much better either. The restaurants are about adequate. But the really interesting street cuisine starts right outside the hotel's Arab street entrance. Be prepared for less than satisfactory service. Most places are family owned and operated, so the food is great, but the service is... well... fickle. I had to kick a fuss about bad service and an obviously clueless chef at a small Mediterranean hole in the wall... but i was assured that the real chef had called in sick and they were making do with a stand in. But they were nice enough to not charge me for the less than edible meal. That's one of the remarkable aspects of Singapore... if you have a complaint, people generally take you seriously. The location is great if you wanna traipse around the older bazaar type scene. Lots of great little small places to eat and drink and watch life go by. There's a big mall at about a 5 minute walk, if you're the nasty mall-shopping type of tourist. The Suntec city convention centre is a pleasant 15 minute walk. All the touristy hang outs in the marina bay area are a short cab ride away. The cabs are cheap and the cabbies are absolutely charming... they'll give you the lowdown on anything you're interested in! We experienced great difficulty finding the hotel - so did our taxi driver. Problems - enterance is not in the street of its address. No easily visible street number on building. Village sign is 18 floors up; not easy to see when looking out of a taxi window. Also bathroom lighting was the worst we experienced on our trip covering 9 hotels. Good was general comfort of hotel room and breakfast.
