Granville Island Hotel - فانكوفر

We visited with our 4 year old and found this to be a great location away from the busy downtown hotels. Our room overlooked the harbor and the kids market, public market, and restaurants are a short, pleasant walk away; the art studios and theaters of the Railspur district are next door and fun to browse. We even got to chat with a Haida totem pole sculptor working at night near the hotel. The hotel itself was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable.

It was nice, clean and quiet. The bed was comfy and the snack bar was pleasantly supplied at reasonable prices! The room was not what I had requested. When I questioned the front desk they couldn't tell me why the request wasn't honored other than that the rooms were allocated in the morning and this was how it was done. They acknowledged that the request was there tho and gave us vouchers for breakfast as way of apologizing. Watch out for the parking police; we paid for parking till noon but they marked our tires at 10 a.m!

Staff were friendly, lobby was nice, rooms seemed adequate, until we got up in the morning. After a nights sleep of messing up the blankets i was disgusted to see the bottom half of the fitted sheet was covered in lint and little black hairs( neither of us have black hair)

Was very well placed on a gorgeous island, service was great, rooms were clean. We really had no complaints! Would have been nice if breakfast was included free as well, but that's a nit.

Celebrated a birthday - everything was perfect! Amazing harbor view, fantastic location on Granville island. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Wonderful experience, walking distance to all of Granville island's attractions, walking distance to ferries to rest of Vancouver. We will definitely stay here again. The best pleasure trip we've taken in some time.

Very nice hotel in a great location if you don'y mind not being right down town. Quieter than down town and still great access to 4th avennue in Kitsilano and dowtown via sea bus. Provide different experience than the traditional dowtown tower hotel.

Great accommodations, always enjoy Granville Island and the Market. Staff most welcoming and helpful

excellent and a wonderful stay during a busy work schedule. The walk along the sea wall was perfect!

great location for walking around Granville Island with convenient ferry access to other areas in Vancouver. The hotel was clean and updated.

We stayed in room 321. Everything was great except the mattress was lumpy and tilted to the outer edge.

The title says it all. I did not feel like a valued and welcome guest. It does not help when the only thing I had arranged (ice and champagne glasses) to be in my room at a specific time was over an hour late and did not come until I had to call again. No reasons given! This was supposed to be a special evening but the hotel left me feeling like ill never go back there for the premium price they charge.

Very very clean property, friendly staff, mediocre food. Water park fun, slides and motif ideal for 2-5 year olds...small basic rooms, great large bathrooms. It was a great quick week getaway.

We just got married and due to our busy schedules in nursing and management we didn't have time for a long honeymoon so we did a one night stay at the Grandville Island Hotel. We wanted to stroll the streets and see the shops and public market. What a pleasant surprise! Nice rooms, a bit small but very clean and updated from a recent renovation. We were there on the night the 7.7 earthquake hit norther BC. the staff were very helpful and kept their cool. Great say and wonderful shops - very arts so the prices are a bit high but the hand worked stuff from silk weaving to carvings are exceptional. the Public market food was exceptional. We will be back when we have more time.

The setting of this hotel is outstanding, on the water of False Creek beside a marina. We used both outdoor patios for meals and watched the water and people walking by. Food was great and servers were both attentive and friendly. A wonderful break.

There was an Asian looking lady at the front desk who was extremely rude. The price was very very high for a 3 star Hotel.

The staff are excellent. Very friendly and helpful. My wife is diabetic and became hypoglycemic and they kindly brought her a glass of orange juice and a bowl of cut up fresh fruit.. They provided this at no charge. My wife recovered and was able to dance with her son at his wedding later that evening. Our family is very appreciative of their response and generousity. Highly recommend this hotel in terms of comfort, service and helpfulness.

This hotel is wonderful. The room was a nice size, quiet and very well appointed. The location is fantastic as it is within walking distance of everything on Granville Island, including the incredible market and the kids' market. We traveled with three children and they loved staying on the island. The hotel is located next to a park with a big, grassy hill and lots of geese. The staff was friendly and the parking pass they give to guests makes it easy to park in an area that would otherwise be very difficult to find a space. Loved the toiletries here too. The pillows were a little bit big and hard, but that is my only complaint for this hotel. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The hotel was lovely. Fabulous location to walk around the shops and restaurants. We took a cab into Vancouver to meet some friends for dinner and that was easy. Great place to stay!

Everything about the hotel again met and in many aspects exceeded expections. Staff friendly helpful and whithout hesitation moved me to another room when airconditioning malfunctioned. Excellent food and food service.and in a setting overlooking busy waterwaysand the magnificent city of Vancouver. The location of this hotel is outstanding for anyone visiting Vancouver for business or pleasure. Ease of parking and close to transport to downtown only minutes away.

If you want to walk to the best shops for quality crafts and interesting imports or watch fine craftsmen ply their trades, catch a great meal with a view of the harbor or just explore the most interesting public market on the west coast, this is where you want to stay. The hotel is clean, comfortable, friendly and best of all, it's in the best location! If your visit is short, you must stay here!

Everything in this hotel worked for us - reception, room, bar, restaurant and an ideal location.

A wedding party was staying at this hotel 12 guests total with a total of 4 rooms 2 of which were penthouse suites. The staff at the front desk told us at 7:30 pm they had noise complaints and threatened to charge us if it continued. They then told the groom on his wedding day if they had a repeat of the previous night they would charge us for two rooms they had to comp the night before. Very uncalled for. To add insult to injury on the night of the wedding we arrive to our hotel room to find all 3 of our keys don't open the door. When I asked the guy at the front desk if there was any particular reason they keys were shut off he responded with "yes, we had noise complaints last night and wanted to see who was staying in that room" anyways nice hotel and everything but I would never give them another dime.

This was the last hotel on our 5 week trip in Canada, before returning to Australia. We had 1.5 days in Vancouver. (We had started our holiday in Vancouver, staying in a hotel Downtown. On that occasion, we did Stanley Park, Gastown, etc.) This hotel was chosen because we particularly wanted to spend a day/night in the Granville Island area. It's ideally located for exploring Granville Island and surrounds. (It's probably a bit too far from the attractions listed above) The hotel is old on the outside, but modern and new on the inside.! . (Granville Island itself is not "pretty" - it's a converted industrial area, full of markets & artisan workshops.. But that's the beauty of the place!) Hotel staff were very friendly, helpful. Our room wasn't the biggest in the hotel, but it was comfy, modern -and clean! The restaurant at the hotel is excellent - both meals & the service) ( and not too badly priced, either!) Would gladly stay at this hotel again.

The location is great, the breakfast was outstanding, but the room was way to small for the furniture that was there. We could barely turn around.

The only disappointment was with the size of my room and the key cards that kept failing. Some of the staff were a little snooty and some were very nice. The in room coffee was good and the shower was great!

Very upscale hotel, excellent food in the dining room.However, the "water-view" room was awkward and small with too much furniture in it. There were workers on the deck outside the window looking straight in and the outside lounge was closed for a private function - no one was out there by the fire, but we were not allowed to sit out there. Therefore, felt restricted and constricted.

Lots to see on the Island, the little ferry boats were fun, and there's a wonderful walking trail all around False Creek. It's a quick drive to Stanley Park. It was an easy walk to English Bay to see the wonderful summer fireworks. The attached restaurant, Dockside, is fabulous. We ate there for breakfast, lunch and dinner and enjoyed it all. Be sure to make reservations.

It would be nice to offer complementry juce & coffee in the morning. However the dinning facilities are excellent.
