Nice place to stay.

Did not like the area the hotel was located. Parking was across the street in a parking garage and did not feel secure. My room was the last one on the hall............There was an outdoor bar with a band that we heard until the bar closed in the early morning (Sun). The staff was nice and the breakfast was sufficient.....

It really was a great location for the purpose of our stay but after we got settled in and were ready to enjoy our evening we were shocked our room door lock did not need the key to open it was broken. All you had to do was push down on the door handle without the key and it opened so when we told the front desk it took them about 10 min to locate their maintenance person. When we walked back up to our room to show him it didn't lock we realized he didn't speak English. So that was a little frustrating because the person whose assigned to help you couldn't understand you. Once we called downstairs to report the door lock was still broken the front desk was quick to provide us another room slightly larger in square footage at no additional cost. Bur we were dressed to go out already and had to repack our personal belongings to relocate rooms which was necessary but . Had they provided us a room with a properly working lock to begin with the only other issue we would of had was when we pulled up to park valet no one was there to assist. So I had to inside to ask the front desk for assistance and was told oh just leave the car someone will park it. In my exerience the purpose of valet is to be greeted when you arrive not to just leave your car freestanding like that. We waited for approx 10 min before someone was able to valet our vehicle. I would reccommended this hotel to others just make sure to check the door lock on the way in so you won't have to have the same experience we had and hopefully you won't have to wait to valet.

This hotel was hands-down a REPEAT!!! The location, service and price was worth the drive! A++++ Hotel is close to American Airline Center for Mavs game! Bars and clubs all in the area! Highly recommend!!

Clean, comfortable room with the convenience of a great location. Definitely recommend.

Great room, friendly and helpful staff, and convenient to a number of restaurants and the hockey arena.

The staff was very courteous and I couldn't ask for a better location. My friends and I were in town for the supercross in Dallas and decided to stay downtown instead so we can go out to the bars on McKinney and downtown Dallas. The location was perfect! Very close to both locations. The hotel was nice and quiet and the breakfast was just as good as any other free continental breakfast. No complaints here!

The hotel was ok, but I would never choose to stay here again. Very, very old. In disrepair. There were drawers broken, loud plumbing, holes in walls, and I found no less than 6 bugs that were sharing my room with me. Some dead, some very much alive. Cheap bath products. One plus was the iHome. I love when hotels have these in the rooms. The breakfast was also very good.

My husband and I accidentally found this hotel during our last stay in Dallas and decided to return. This time, was AWESOME! I explained to the concierge that it was his birthday and I wanted everything to memorable for him. Long story short, when we returned from our West End carriage ride and dinner to a room was filled with rose petals and turn down service. Thanks so much for going the extra step for us! You have definitely earned lifetime guest! ~ From Shreveport LA

Hotel staff were very helpful when we would ask for directions to and from places. The only complaint i would have of the 4 days I was there was the maid did not replenish our supplies, we had to go get them ourselves.

We checked our car in with Valet, went downstairs and found our keys on the counter with NO employees around. So we took our keys and left. We also parked our car in valet and kept our keys. The staff never knew. When we came back to the room around 3am, the sliding door was locked. There was another lady sliding her hotel key to get in....THERE WERE NO EMPLOYEES AROUND as we looked through the glass. We walked around to the entrance on the street and a guy who was in the lobby let us in the hotel. He wasn't even a guest, but he seemed to be visiting an employee there. She then came around and told us not to keep the sliding door open because homeless people will try to come in. We wanted to let the other lady in who was out there waiting. We thought this was unprofessional. Also, the demeanor of that lady was not professional. We had a few dealings with her that day and did not have a positive vibe. We didn't like the unsafe feel of the downtown area.

We could not believe the amenities at this place! The service was 5 star at this great priced hotel...Location is very convenient for bus transportation and dining as well as a local Medieval Times within walking distance! We were thoroughly surprised and satisfied

Good staff, friendly, love the layout of the room. Breakfast was free but not very good, the eggs were terrible. Cool little pool area. Hotel is within walking distance of so many places. We will stay again

Everything was great with this hotel except the parking situation. There was only one person on duty to park cars both when arriving and when leaving. You have to pull under the hotel and wait in line much too long and then go check in while others in line are waiting on you. However---other then this NO complaints! Clean and close to where we wanted to go!

This place should not hold the Marriott Title! It is an old hotel that has a few minor dress-ups to make parts of it look newer, but it has a lot of mileage on it and is well used. The water in the tub dripped all night, the bed was horrible, actually wanted to check for bed bugs. The AC was right next to the bed and would not run on automatic, made sleeping very uncomfortable and impossible. Cars were racing up and down the street, windows must have been cheap plastic that you can hear through. Very Seedy place, won't even call it a hotel. Left and went to Hyatt Regency for $10 more. WOW, that was a hotel!

The suite was excellent, especially for the money and location. My bed was amazing, the alarm clock had a plug in for my mp3 player, the room had a nice view of downtown and I never heard the people in the neighboring room. It was spacious, I've seen apartments that were smaller. The only negatives were the shower (need a better shower head with more water pressure) and the breakfast (great selection, but the eggs weren't great and the runny syrup ruined the waffles). Valet was pricey but excellent service. I would definitely stay there again.

The front desk helped solve a problem with a lost cell phone. They were fantastic.

Very friendly staff, easy check-in, great valet parking for $22, delicious, hot breakfast buffet and clean, big room. Across the street from the Dallas World Aquarium, a couple blocks from House of Blues, and near lots of restaurants. Small outdoor pool located on roof of 2nd floor. Hope to go back again!

We were in Dallas to attend a concert at the House of Blue, and this hotel is the ideal location for that. You can see the venue from the hotel, so it's a very easy walk to the HOB, or to the Dallas World Aquarium, which is directly across from the hotel. We felt safe in the area and were not concerned at all about walking back from HOB after dark. For the hotel itself, we couldn't have been happier. Exceptionally clean, and the friendliest staff I've ever seen. We chose to use the valet parking, and had no problems, but there is a public lot directly across the street for $5/day as well, and after visiting I would have no concerns using the public parking. We had a double bed suite, and the room was very large and very nice. Bedding and linens were good quality, and everything was exceptionally clean. As other reviews have mentioned, the fan on the heating and air unit was VERY loud. It was nice weather outside, though, so we were able to turn our unit off completely and the room stayed comfortable (and quiet!). The breakfast buffett could have been better - the hotel does not have a restaurant, and the food is brought in from another location. The pastry, bagels, and pancakes were stale. You can make your own waffles, and that is the best bet for a good hot breakfast. There was a good variety of food, though, and I'm sure everyone could find something they would like. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay, and will be booking there again the next time we visit dallas.

This is an older Hotel in the West End of the downtown Dallas. The staff was very helpful. They had breakfast in the morning. The room was nice and had a good size HDTV. The only minor complaint was the AC unit. It was in the room and rather noisy. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

The staff was friendly and welcoming...from the valets to the housekeepers to the front desk staff. We have generally stayed in Marriott related hotels for those reasons. Our years of experience have found these properties to be above average in all the areas that matter for reasonable rates. This property was a perfect example of the friendly, pleasant and relaxing stays we rely on when traveling. There are several very good restaurants within easy walking distance. We also found the five block walk to the JFK Memorial and the 6th Floor Museum (just on the other side of the restaurants) easy, safe and amazingly pleasant in the middle of a big city.

I recently went here on business and while the room was comfortable I wasn't impressed with the set up. If you dont use valet parking---which is $22 a day then you need to park across the street or in the parking garage which is almost a block away. On my last night there they decided to work on the cable so during my evening of relaxing in my hotel room I couldn't watch any television as it was out all night.

It was a great hotel and reasonably price with the amenities that it included. Also we were able to check in at any time because with us booking through Hotels.com our room was reserved. The process to book through Hotels.com was easy! The total experience was great!!

The hotel was convenient to everything we wanted to see, but for some reason we did not get maid service on Sunday and came upon this discovery in the late afternoon when we returned to our room. We reported this when we checked out the next morning.

Great location to many tourist sites, and the hotel has beautiful rooms. The staff is all friendly and helpful. We have stayed there many times in the past few years. Would definitely recommend it to all visitors to the West End.

The layout of the room is terrific! The breakfast is better than continental-style and the staff was very helpful. The hotel is also within 3 blocks of the DART system for easy transportation.

Hotel staff were very friendly and efficient. Room was very clean and well maintained. Cost was great for the area and we were within walking distance of Dallas House of Blues, Dallas American Airlines Center, Victory Park, and other West End attractions in Dallas. The only complaint was the Valet parking was a little slow since they had only one person working on check-out, but that was a minor irritation. I would definitely stay at this hotel again for events in the Dallas West End area.

We stayed during the week and was disappointed after a concert to not have room service available or anything in vicinity available for food; Hotel was clean and service was OK. Average Hotel with nice kitchenette area.

It was wonderful - we had no complaints at all :) We were able to walk to many restaurants and the AA center was about a 10 minute walk! :)

I'm not used to the valet parking thing, but self-park was in an unattended lot and the neighborhood is iffy. Close proximity to the American Airlines Center and West End restaurants. The room itself was roomy and quiet. The bathroom door was swollen due to humidity and would not close or lock. The toilet broke just before we checked out. No newspapers available at the hotel, was directed to a drug store two blocks away close to a transit center and liquor stores, not a good walk at night. Breakfast was great, well stocked and the 2nd floor lounge is nice. For the price, would have liked a hot tub, not just a small outdoor pool.

My hubby and I recently stayed at Springhill Suites over Labor Day Weekend. The staff at the hotel was extremely friendly and knew a lot about the area. We went to Six Flags one day and Allen Outlet Mall another day and we were centrally located to both. We were within walking distance to a lot of pubs, bars, clubs, Subway, House of Blues and Hard Rock Cafe. We actually went to House of Blues for a concert one night - great venue. We walked around downtown at all hours and felt pretty safe. There were a few homeless people, but they didn't bother us. The room was very comfortable and clean. It was also very quiet. We never heard any noise in hallway and slept till at least 11 every morning. Only minor complaint would be water pressure in shower, but that may just be my personal preference. Also, TV is at a strange angle, but not too bad and we didn't watch much tv anyways. Since we slept so late we never tried breakfast. We took others advice and parked in the parking garage for $5/day vs. the expensive valet parking. Again, the staff were terrific and location can't be beat! It's also across from the Aquarium, so a great location for families, too.

Great Location, friendly staff, decent rooms. Definitely would recommend if wanting to be right in the middle of dallas attractions. 2 blocks from the House of Blues, Hard rock cafe and across the street from Dallas Aquarium.

The Springhill Suites by Marriot is not a bad place to stay if you would like to be in the center of Dallas. But, the decline of the Westend Marketplace does make this hotel a bit overpriced for the area. There a few resturants within walking distance and the Dallas Aquarium can be seen from your hotel room, which is less than a block away, however, you can tell that this hotel has seen it's "hay-day" and it has came and passed. I was pleased with my overall stay. I would recommend to friends. But, if you want to spend time in Dallas, I would recommend somehwere closer to the sights that you might be wanting to see.

We really loved this hotel. Rooms were very large including sitting area and kitchen area. Everything was clean and well cared for. Staff were helpful without being intrusive. The only downside was having to pay for parking when I wasn't expecting to do so.

If concerts, Westend, The House of Blues or the World Aquarium are on the list of places to visit you can walk with ease to all. The A/C made a humming sound that has bother others but for us it sang us to sleep on their awesome bed.

decent hotel overall . . . only complaint was that the air conditioner in the room was so loud, it was hard to fall asleep. Also, avoid the $20 a day valet parking and park in the public garage across the street for $5 a day.

Svært fornøyd med prisen på hotellrommet som var stort nok for oss med to store barn; studio med 2 queenbeds. Særlig godt med egen "forstue" med kjøkkenkrok. pluss sovesofa. Daglig renhold med håndkleskift. Innendørs basseng fikk vi ikke benyttet. Kort gangavstand til bl.a.History district samt stilige skyskrapere. Flott utgangspunkt for en snartur til Dallas.
