No surprises here.

Had a later flight and was counting on the shuttle transportation. Called the day before to let them know I would be arriving late and was never told that the shuttle service only ran between 7 am and 7 pm, my flight came in at 9:30 pm so I was out of luck. Took a taxi that ripped me off by feigning being lost and taking wrong turns even though I had my GPS on and was telling the driver how to get there. The room it self was okay and the bed comfy but the next day I awoke to find only coffee free and if I wanted any breakfast, even a lousy doughnut, I had to pay for it. All in all disappointed and will not stay there again.

Several very good restaurants (and shopping) within 5 mins walking distance of the hotel. Room was very comfortable, and kids enjoyed the pool all day long. Only complaint - and it's a minor one - was the length of time it took to get bedding brought to room to make up the sofa bed for the kids. Why not have the bedding in the room's closet?

The Courtyard is close driving distance from the Ft. Lauderdale airport and activities. The hotel is clean, modern, and in a very safe neighborhood. They do not have free breakfast or room service but they do have a bistro that’s open for breakfast and early dinner. For a small latte and oatmeal it cost about $8. They also have a little ‘marketplace’ where you can buy snacks and wine any time. Since I was traveling on business, the best part for me was that it was very quiet, located right next to a huge shopping complex with a lot of places to eat, and located about 2 miles from Rt. 95. If I am ever back in Ft. Lauderdale I will definitely stay here again!

Great hotel nice and clean and friendly staff.

I would offer this regarding my stay: I think that upon confirming the room the day before the hotel staff should have made me aware of the renovations that were going on. It would not have hindered my stay but communicating that would have been less of a surprise when I arrived. Additionally, I had my room reserved for four individuals. Upon check in I asked about the stay for breakfast rate and since that was included with our stay we could have breakfast in the eating area. I was told that yes, my rate included breakfast. However, again they did not communicate with me that it was only applicable to two hotel guests so we were very surprised the next morning when we were asked to pay for the other two guests. I think that communication is vital in a service industry so I would recommend some additional training of the hotel management and staff regarding this.

Great quiet location, close to shopping, mall, and restaurants. The only thing that I thought that should have been mentioned, was that the lobby is under construction, being completely remodeled. If I knew this, which should have been posted, I would have stayed somewhere else. The location is nice, the staff is wonderful too.. The property just needs a little TLC..

This is the worst Courtyard Hotel I have ever stayed in during my 30 year business travel career. No bathroom, towels, or wash clothes. When they were requested we were told they "were in the dryer", this was a 9 pm at night. We heard nothing further even though at 11 pm I went to the desk to inquire. When I called in the morning they told me they "ran out". On the way back to the room, I saw maid's cart with fresh linen and towels on them, and took them my self off the cart as they were never delivered. Not only won't I stay here again, but may reconsider all Courtyards, if they allow this level of poor service in their system.

it was close to family's house for an event, convenient, local area has everything you could need

Very friendly staff and just convenient for staying a short stay without any fuss and bother, you ask and you'll get it. except there is no bar or restaurant, but you'll not need to have that in a hotel when you are on holiday. There are loads of places to go and try within a mins. away if you have a car.

I enjoyed my stay. It was convenient for me to visit my son who lives in apt. bldg. next door. The room was nice & clean and met all mu expectatioms.

Hard to find. No easily visible sign on South University.
