very close to the mountain, however not much of a ski town at all, the mountain itself is great but there aren't many stores, gas stations, restaurants, bars, or anything close by. The room was a bit out dated and the lighting inside the room wasn't very good at all, it took a long time for the heat to warm the room and the beds weren't very comfortable. The staff was very nice and it was close to Jiminy Peak, the free breakfast was good, it was worth the price but definitely not much more than a bed and shower.

The staff were considerate and prompt. The room was recently renovated and comfortable.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on our way to Vermont to Boston. We had planned to stopped by and tour Williamstown and North Adams and the great museums in the area. We also went up to the summit of Mt. Greylock while on our stop. Great place for a one-night stay!

Although an older motel. Very clean , very friendly, and beds were very comfortable. I would recommend this Motel to anyone one. The Breakfast was nice also.The hot water was almost immediate.

Hotel is old and dated, heat and hot water good.

I thought the Econo Lodge at the Springs was a great value. I couldn't find a better value in the area and that's why I have gone there twice to hike Mount Grey Lock.. Its a short ride to Zucchini's Restaurant and Guido's Fresh Marketplace Pittsfield, MA. You will find prepared food, whole foods and natural foods at Guidos that you won't find anywhere else.You really should stop there. This is a Great area to enjoy a weekend away.

Sad that the hotel has 2/5 rating in the Hotels.com. This place deserves way better than this. Went for a Fall trip last month in the Berkshire area. The rooms are very clean and nice, every single appliance was new and in great condition. The staff was friendly. Overall I think this should get a 4/5 rating but considering the price they charge it is 5/5.

Very nice accomodations. Allowed our small dog. Reasonably priced.

Perhaps the economy and general state of other hotels have dropped my standards, but I was pleased just to find every amenity I could want in a simple, inexpensive lodge. This Econolodge is located just 10 mi. south of Williams College and a fairly short, breathtaking drive up to Mt. Greylock. Though you may not write home about the continental breakfasts, you will too be pleased with the service, smiles included, and coziness of the rooms.

This is a basic motel, everything was fine.

I stopped here whilst on the road with my band, this latest stay being our second at The Springs. The service was beautiful; friendly, expedient, and professional. Our check-in/stay went off without hitch. The staff even remembered us from our last trip, and were kind enough to give us, without our asking, a room abutting the parking lot (a serious high-point for folks with heavy/expensive luggage). We would highly, highly recommend staying here. The only drawback is that "civilization," as it were, is located somewhat far away from the hotel. You should most definitely bring your own sustenance, or expect to do some driving! Williamstown is fantastic for these sorts of things, and is located RELATIVELY close-by. We found the best dinner spots to be Colonial Pizza and Olympic Pizza (especially later at night). The Springs' complementary continental breakfast is also quite nice, as are the ice machine and the pool. You will not be disappointed!

Really liked the place overall - room was clone, staff was friendly, and the free continental breakfast was pretty good. Only downside was that the shower didn't have much hot water pressure.

nice location on a hill...was under renovations...card wasn't programmed and I had to drive back to front desk since my room was in the back up the hill....no cell phone service or books in room

The place was comfortable, clean, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The property is obviously very old and is what road travel lodging was like back in the day. That said, the place offered free wi-fi, flat screen tvs, lovely benches outside your room to rest and admire the beautiful scenery. I would definitely stay here again when coming through the area. It was a nice throwback with up to date conveniences. Nearby Lanesboro offers a few dining options only minutes away. Williamstown is a short ride to the north and Pittsfield to the south for more dining options.

I loved the staff and location and they are continuing the renovations. The room was clean and comfortable and the pool refreshing. I hope the are able to get a fitness area built into the upper building during renovations as this will make this hotel the perfect place to stay in the Berkshires!

The staff was very helpful with directions over very enjoyable weekend

Did not appear to be prepared for our arrival, facilty have been poorly maintained, cable tv did not work at all while we were there, calls to front desk went unanswered.

Modest, comfortable, clean, pleasant, welcoming. Worth the money. Very happy with this place

Convenient to Williamstown, but not attractive. Bathroom was tiny and in poor shape, with mildew. Refrigerator in the room was noisy.

This place is a throwback to a different era of roadside hotels. Many of the fixtures and layout reminded us of a 60's hotel. That is not a bad thing. It served our need for a hotel room near Jiminy Peak.. It provided us a reasonably priced and clean room. Nothing fancy. The breakfast was the usual assortment of free breakfast food. The English muffins and bagels were Thomas's. They were quite good. The hotel is a located about 5 miles from Jiminy Peak.

overall a good 2 nite stay. was disappointed that no one was there to check us in upon arrival. note on door had numbers to call & no one answered. we were a out to leave when we saw a maid who contacted someone. was told there was a personal problem. she was very apologetic. continental breakfast was good, room updated & clean. pool was new but was not open yet. i love the location & feel they are working hard to bring it up to standards.

I was concerned when we pulled into the parking lot, but very relieved to discover neat, clean, comfortable rooms. Motel staff was very welcoming and friendly. I was pleased to find this reasonable motel that would accept a one night reservation during the busy summer vacation season. Cereal, toast, bagels, juice, apples complementary at breakfast. Good value

The second week of July and the pool isn't working.not what I planned on and paid for.Lastly this room wasn't cheap.

The room was very clean, ac worked well. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Quiet. Breakfast room was cheerful, food was fine. "Neighborhood" was along rt 7, surrounded by trees and mountains. Lovely.Great access Barrington Stage Company, Williamstown Theater festival, and MassMoCA concerts and art galleries, all of which I attended. There were more things to see, but I ran out of time. I'll be back. (Needs better signage at intersection of rt. 7)

After reading reviews, I thought this would be old, but ok. It definitely looks abandoned from the road. There was yellow tape surrounding half of pool area, which was dug up. There was a sign on office to call if no one was in view. The staff was wearing an old, dirty T-shirt and shorts, and wasn't very skilled at her job. Our room was VERY outdated, clean but super dusty smelling, and also smelled of serious chemicals. Highlight? There was a new flat screen in a 1950's entertainment center. Long story short, we ate our night's rate and found another motel 10 miles father from our destination.

Surprisingly nice place! Lots of improvements underway. Great continental breakfast.

A very lovely management team is renovating this 50s-style motel, in a simple and tasteful fashion. The grounds still need work, but the place is comfortable, clean and pleasant

We booked through hotels.com and they neglected to tell us the pool was out of order.The manager of the springs informed us that it was posted on their website.We didn't go on their website so we didn't know the pool wasn't working.We booked them for the pool because we were traveling with a child who was very disappointed when he found no pool which made our stay not as pleasurable as it could have been. But the service was very good and they were friendly.

The proprietor and help were exceptionally friendly and helpful and made good recommendations on where to eat and how to find places. The hotel is older but comfortable with large rooms. Sits back off highway and is quiet; close to all the local sites from Great Barrington to Adams. Very good deal for the location.

Not bad. A little further from Williamstown than I thought it would be. A little pricey for the quality & location.

Has all the basics one would need. Friendly, ernest staff eager to help out. Shower pressure was non existent. Nice medium-sized flat screen, clean bathroom.

We stayed for one night when we visited Williams College. The owners/managers are extremely welcoming (much better than the hotels we stayed out in other cities), helpful, and obviously care about their hotel and guests. Room was great. If my son goes to Williams, this will be a regular hotel.

Upon driving up to the hotel, I wanted to leave. Not a single car in the parking lot and the outside is old looking, kind of like the "Bates" hotel. The room had been redecorated and was very spacious, but I think the mattress was saved from the 1950's. It was really soft and sunk in the middle. Really uncomfortable. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast wasn't much. It was far from where we were wanting to spend time. If your looking for a clean, inexpensive place it'll do. By evening the place was full. I would not go back again.. it just wasn't a conveneint location

very nice, quiet motel. it deserved the price. all staffs were very kind and friendly. I booked a king-size room. when saw my daughter, they exchanged me a double bed room with same unilities. this motel is closed to williams college and north adams. on the way to these two sites, there has a hill that is very nice place to view foliage. also the bed is comfort. we did have a good sleep. like that motel very much.
