The standard room I was allocated was a basic 2 star. An upgrade to a superior room would have been double the price of the standard room but probably the only way of getting the much lauded 4 star facilities. The hotel is clean, the food is good and most of the staff are really professional except for one notable exception. I would strongly avoid this hotel unless you can afford to upgrade as they are so many 3 star hotels in Brighton that would provide a nicer room with more facilities for the same money, or less.

The only disappointing thing was the location of the room(not seafront ).The room was at the side of the hotel and was very noisy when the bins were being removed and replaced .was woken very early from a lovely sleep .The bed was very good and would have slept in longer had it not been for the bin men .

Hotel was clean and quiet with very comfortable bed and room. I would recommend this to a friend as very convenient for shops and Brighton Centre.

Our experience here was wholly positive; a very smart nice room as expected, Mercure do things very well. We wanted a drink at 1am and the night man gladly got us two which was impressive. Position of hotel is great on sea front, parking fair and reasonable too, staff high quality. A billing glitch was disappointing but immediately corrected without issue so I'd stay here again for the value and the experience.

Felt really special so much better than these modern plastic hotels,Fantastic interior lots of iron work and plaster mouldings staff very polite and helpfull.

Stayed for a week on a work conference. Hotel staff we very helpful with what was needed. Breakfast also is very good. A good hotel for the price.

This hotel was a very clean and tidy hotel to stay in. On arrival we were greeted by a very pleasant reseptionest who kindly checked us all in and guided us to the room location. The staff in the bar area were also very helpful and chattie, they informed us to where the best sights were and the top things to do and see. We would definatly revisit this hotel next time we take a trip to Brighton.

The staff at this hotel made our stay in Brighton very enjoyable. Friendly, helpfull and especially cheerfull, which makes a nice change. Hotel clean and everything worked, again a nice change. Breakfast was excellent. Only critisim was - we had an evening snack which we found to be very expensive and the cost for a glass of wine was ridiculous.

Overall we were pleased with our stay and felt we received good value for money. We were a little surprised when other guests used a key to enter our room as they had mistakenly been checked into the same room... However mistakes do happen and the service we received and the complimentary drink certainly made up for it.

Muy buena relación calidad-precio, hay que tener en cuenta, no obstante, que es un 4 estrellas inglés. Puntos positivos: - bonito hotel en primera línea de playa - la amabilidad del personal - tuvimos suerte de estar en habitaciones renovadas. Puntos mejorables: - el bufet del desayuno - la wifi del hotel no llega a las habitaciones del fondo, aunque se puede tener la suerte de coger otras wifis. - no disponen de adaptadores de corriente - el suelo cruje y al wc le cuesta.. Es importante que las personas con problemas de movilidad lo avisen, ya que hay muchas habitaciones de difícil acceso.
