Very satisfied

This was my first weekend trip to Macau and my family and I stayed for 3days/2nights. There was a shuttle picking us up from the ferry terminal and the check in process was very fast. The staff were friendly and responded to our requests immediately... We ordered some light snacks and sandwiches on arrival and it took then far less than the promised 25 minutes. The hotel itself is dated, rooms are clean but the last renovation probably in the 80s. The pool area is fantastic: huge pool, lots of space and 4 tennis courts you can use at any time. The hotel is located in taipa in a more residential corner, the Venetian and city of dreams are a mere 15 bus or 10 mins taxi ride. There are no major historical landmarks in the surroundings but the location is perfect if you don't mind taking a 20mins bus or taxi ride. All main bus routes depart near the hotel so for us it was perfect, it might be tricky if you travel with children. The main downside was breakfast, it wasn't catering for the continental preference...it was okay but missing a few essentials like yogurts, cheeses or even fresh fruits variety; rooms are also quite cold at night so make sure you ask for an extra blanket. Overall I enjoyed my stay and recommend it to anyone who is a practical traveller and prefers calm areas of the city with a local feel.

We had experience a better stayed. We enjoyed the foods you catered every breakfast.

It's OK for an overnight before a flight to other destination. It's 5 min. to airport and 10min to Venetian hotel mall and casino. In the Hotel's room there's smell of mustiness.

I would happily stay at this hotel again. Very cheap in relation to other hotels and quality employees that will bend over backwards for you.

Very nice

Nothing exciting, but good for a modest stay. The hotel is away from the business and entertainment centers, but it maintains an hourly shuttle bus to city center and ferry. So locationwise is acceptable if you are not in a hurry.

Hotel room was bad. When you came into the room floor (10th Floor), you felt the air was so humid and damp, so did when you stepped into the room. I couldn't fall into sleep, though at 2 am I had intention to change a room, but I didn't. Air was so stuffy and humid inside the room, air conditioner seemed not working well and merely blew out outside air which was so damp. Window coudn't be opened to refresh myself. It was really a sad experience. I reported my disconfort when checking out.

My stay at Regency was great! The hotel is clean, quiet and nice. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The place is in the Taipa area and very near tourist sites like the Cotai Strip and the Senado Square.

Also close to our hotel there is a bus stop. bus 25X and other bus 25 one same stop takes you to the casino. Very good service and the buffet breakfast delicious. Great Hotel. Personals very good. Very good.....

We were very impressed with the room upgrade on arrival, the friendly staff, the lovely pool area, the breakfasts and all for a very reasonable price. Wish I had known about this hotel on previous visits to Macau.

This is a great find for the money. I paid 3x as much for about the same in HongKong. Quiet, clean, good food and great breakfast included. Staff all and especially the Ghurka security were most helpful and English was good. The two lobby based internet connected computers were good. The location is quiet and will real trees and garden front and sides. The pool is good. The dining area looks out on a garden. The cab fare to Mccau proper is less thatn $5. We were happy with the choice and would stay again.

The wire less that I purchased was terrible kept going off line . Room service took for ever.The hotel rooms need a revamp they shabby and nothing like the pictures, also need new furniture for u pay, not a 4star hotel. The staff are nice and friendly .

Breakfast buffet was pretty fine but most days are having very similar food. Just 1-4 dishes maybe changed daily. Room condition was fine and a picturesque view. External surrounding are nice but old e.g. paint on wall are peeling off.

the hotel is a few steps away from the two bus stops serving the taipa and macau islands. for true tourists, it serves its purpose of giving the weary body a place to rest. the complimentary breakfast was good.

Hotel doesn't have any casino and really comfort for relieving. Beautiful swimming pool and gaming room makes customer happy. Hotel is clear and breakfast is excellent. Faculties are very nice and kindly provide information what you need. Hotel has free shuttle to airport and Lisboa in comfortable time. Also bus stop is really near hotel. Wifi is 162$ per 24hrs minimum.

Amongst the Macau hotels, this hotel offers free continental breakast as part of its services. there are no airport pick-ups, only ferry transfers to Macau Taipa terminal. Budget wise, this hotel is a star.

交通非常方便，楼下有很多公交车cover了大部分必游的地方~酒店非常舒服，服务生态度也很好，另外酒店的早餐自助餐也很不错~样式很多~！！

All reviews were very accurate. Ok hotel if you are on a budget. Felt safe but not fancy.

The furniture inside the hotel is a bit old. The Breakfast is so so. Can only consider as 3 star hotel.

The Regency Hotels was quite good but I don't feel much comfortable cause the first night we came in I never had a good sleep, i keep sneezing and I just need to take my asthma puffer. It smells quite so old for me. The hotel was so old but but it is just renovated maybe. We only stay there only when we are sleeping at not too long so the second night i phone receptionist to order any air refreshener cause I dont want the first night to happen again. If there's any other better hotel then I'll better get that...Only the retaurant and buffet area was good and that's it.The complimentary shuttle bus for this hotel was the most least among the other shuttle.It is so old and so ordinary.

Nothing special about the room that I should point out. I've spent a few nights in Macau and I was hotel hopping and this was my last stop and my favorite thus far because it was convenient. Taking the taxi can really add up really fast, hotel/casino shuttles don't take you exactly to the sightseeing spots, and walking can be a bit far, so taking the bus was the next best choice. This hotel has a bus stop right in front with many GOOD bus lines. You can take buses to many major hotels, to other islands, to the Zhuhai border, and etc and they are all in front of the hotel. The location of this hotel is only good for exploration via bus and not on foot. There are no sightseeing spots close except McDonalds for food.

Services in restaurant have room to improve. Some waiter show impolite in serving.

My family & I are very satisfied with the hotel for many reasons namely (1) value for money (2) strategic location (3) courteous & helpful staff.....We are also impressed with the hotel which is generally peaceful & well-maintained! So thumbs up to Regency Hotel. We will definitely stay in this hotel again in the near future and recommend it to our relatives & friends.

You're getting a comfortable and clean hotel for a great price. Although situated next to the big casino chains or major tourist attractions, you can reach those places easily with a taxi ride. All-in-all the best value for money in Macau.

Good rate and very nice breakfast .

We booked this hotel thinking we would live in a resort with low rise dwelling, based on what the website showed us. But we in for a rude shock when we discovered that a 11 storey building is where our rooms are. Anyways, the rooms are decent and well decored in Portugese style colors (yellow, white, green) and there is an old world charm about them. The 'resort' area (heavily publisized on the website) is a nice area with deck chairs and a really nice pool and sitting areas. Service, is poor - there was no coffee, tea, sugar satchets in our rooms and when we asked for them via phone the housekeeping guy told us it would cost us HKD 45!! I went to the reception to complain but the response was cold and impersonal.

I remember when the hotel was built and opened in 1986. It was 'state-of-the-art' then. Now it is a little run down but it is still good. The dining area and bar is still very nice. The pool, spa, steam room and fitness room are huge bonuses and the value for money is excellent.

I have stayed at this property many times over the past 18 years. This hotel was formerly the Hyatt Regency Taipa Resort, and declined for several years following the changes in ownership and management. I was pleased to see some effort and funds have been applied recently to freshen worn common areas and rooms, and especially to repaint / repair much of the attached resort facilities. The huge free-form pool was spotless, spas were renovated and clean. Spa staff in particular were warm and attentive even compared to staff at spa facilities of the Grand Hyatt Macau. The Flamingo restaurant is reopened for lunch service only, did not try this visit. Good value and reasonable location.

Good rates, nice and spacious room! Love it, but not at the Lisboa area. Taking a taxi over would easily cost HK$22 for 1 way. But still like it, just got to know how to use the buses.

A mid range hotel with good public space, however the room are dated. Staff very helpful, the hotel is a bit out of the way you will need a taxi to fisherman's, the sands etc or a tip is take the hotel bus and walk a little, bus drops off at lisboa which is central to macau.

As with other reviews this hotel is dated and needs an upgrade and I would say is more a 3 star Hotel than 5 but the price reflects this compared to the other hotels. The staff were very helpful and friendly and for what we paid we cannot complain just do not expect much when you arrive and you will be OK.
