Good room for the money will stay here again

I've stayed in cheep hotels in at least a dozen states. This is the only one that I won't stay in ever again. I was really limited to choices in the area which would allow our dog, but I'd rather drive an extra 40 minutes and stay up in Somerset or even camp in a tent over ever staying here again. As soon as we arrived before we even checked in we were approached by 2 sketchy people in the parking lot wanting a cigarette. The room seemed nice enough until I pulled back the sheet and there was a long black hair on the middle of the pillow. Pulled the cover down further and the bed clearly hadn't been changed since the last customer. Besides the messy sheets there was another long brown hair in the middle of it. It's bad enough that they don't change the bedspread between customers, but not changing the sheets was too much. I booked this hotel because it was on hotels.com, but I'm going to recommend to hotels.com that they don't carry this hotel any longer. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

Great price, great service. Decent place to lay your head!

This hotel is okay for an overnight stay. It smelled a little of cigarette smoke even in the non-smoking rooms. There was only a sheet and comforter on the bed, no blanket. The breakfast was a little lacking.

overall all a very nice stay

It was a standard $55 hotel room. I wasn't expecting luxury. However the room was clean and the staff was very helpful and attentive. The breakfast was less than basic as was the exercise room. The wifi worked. Yay! Overall it was everything that I expected.

If you are looking for a quiet place to lay your head when you've been on the road - the Econo Lodge is an acceptable choice. The elevator is unusually located on the outside of the building on the side but which i was a little leery of however with the open lighting everything is completely visible. If you are hesitant, I would advise the night checkin employee at least monitor your entrance. Also, if you need to iron, be sure to ask for it before you leave the front desk because you don't wanna go down the hall, in the elevator, outside and around to the front desk to get one!

Perfect except 1 thing - no coffee in your room and the coffee in their breakfast area was always lukewarm

Excellent service, location and cleanliness. This hotel is just right for a weekend visit to a beautiful area of Maryland.

unpleasant odor in room, halls and stars unvacuumed. Average stay. Employee on staff was helpful, professional and courteous.

The room was fine. The fridge & microwave was nice. The bed was a little uncomfortable and not many ammenities but it worked as a place to lay our heads for one nite.

Would not stay again. small room cramped, a lot of cosmetic repairs need. had to go outside to get to elevator and "coffee and buns for breakfast. NEEDS some HELP

Room was adequate ands well-maintained. There was only one chair in the room, and it looked like a small table may have been removed. Exactly one towel, washcloth, and hand towel for each guest. Only one bar of soap and one shampoo bottle for the two of us. I guess you could call it ecological! The continental breakfast included edible objects and tepid, weak coffee or tea. The best feature abut the room: reading lights and end tables on both sides of the bed. Unfortunately, the one pillow each of us had wasn't enough to read comfortably. Still, it was fine overall.

The name says it all- ECONO LODGE-.If all you need is a place to stay overnight- it will do. May want to take your own blanket since beds don't have them.

Everything was neat and clean, the people working there were very nice and friendly, good free breakfast. Also, the surrounding area is pretty if you like mountains.

Hotel was okay, the hallways needed new carpet, and it seem the floor under it needed a little repair, but overall it wasn't to bad for somewhere to lay your head.

Hotel is quiet, clean and easy to find. Will definately stay again if in area. Thank you.

The price matched the hotel. We were only at the hotel to sleep and then move on. I mentioned to the manager when we arrived that we would be leaving early in the morning and mentioned breakfast. He said it opened at 6 am. I said too bad we were leaving at 5 am. He set it up for us and we were able to have breakfast before we started our relay race. The six people in our group appreciated the effort. The hotel was quiet and clean. Many thanks.

Very nice staff but this property is pretty run down. I got the impression it was dirty, but that could have been because it is in dire need of fresh paint throughout. Stale air. It will do in an emergency, and mine WAS emergency.

Great for one night stays when you need shelter.

if your looking for four walls and a bed its okay but it doesn't offer much more than that.

It served us well. We needed a place to stay in conjunction with our ride on the GAP. It wasn't far from the start of the trail. Store and fast food not too far. We needed a more substantial breakfast so we took a couple of bananas.Room was clean and suited us.

You get a bed, a place to put your things, a sink, a toilet, and a shower. There are absolutely no frills to this place at all. The room we had was basically clean and functional. The TV is circa 1990. There is no phone in the room, but most people have mobile phones now. There is no fridge in the room. Bring your own soap and shampoo; you do not want to use the stuff they provide. Do not count on the "free continental breakfast" for sustenance; enjoy the Cosi next door instead. Nice neighborhood, some decent restaurants within walking distance or a short car ride away, and a Kroger's grocery store across the highway. Finally, use that "Do Not Disturb" sign; we didn't, and the housekeeper didn't knock, but just walked in while we were (fortunately only) hanging out on the bed.

Hotel was fine for one night last minute travel. I would not stay here if I had to stay more than one night. Room was okay,not great. Common areas are in need of improvement.

Hotel staff very friendly and nice decor

It was "OK"!! The electricity went out during a rain storm and didnt come back on until two days later. We didn't ask for any refund but you would of thought they would of at least apologize for the inconvenience in which they never did.

ice machine was broke and could not get on internet room was clean and easy to find hotel would stay again if I was in the area great for just passing through

We enjoyed our overnight stay. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The people were friendly and helpfull. Would stay there again.

older hotel but Staff was great. Room was clean and quiet(about half mile from interstate). Cell reception great. local amentities like mall at rear of hotel(on top of hill). Great big local food and drug store just down the street. Even a Dollar Tree for forgotten toothbrush. Close to restaurants. Left the next morning refreshed.

Met all of our needs.

An ok place to sleep. Needs updating. Thought it was a little pricey for what it was.

Not fancy but it was clean and comfortable for our 2 nights. The in room microwave and refrigerator were an unexpected plus. The sink vanity was roomy. The fan in the A/C unit runs all the time when it is on which we found to be less disruptive than turning off/on during the night. It also helped cover noise from adjacent rooms. I got a feeling that the room had been refurbished recently. There was not an ice machine on our floor so we needed to go out and down a floor to get to it. The hotel is close to a mall and couple of restaurants across the street, there is a variety of food close by. There are no other buildings really close, so the area seemed quiet (we were on the back of the building).

The room and hotel was clean. However, the room seemed uninviting. The walls are white and there was one small picture. Compared with other hotels, it seems to be lacking something. Otherwise, there was a microwave and refrigerator, so that was nice. It was pretty full the nights i was there and noise and parking wasn't an issue. if I'm traveling alone, this is where I'll stay.

This is was layover stay in between my destination. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel was quiet. If any improvements could be made it I would suggest updating the TV's with HD quality.
