It was to our dismay when my husband and I checked into our room to find that we were assigned a handicap assessable room on our 1 year anniversary. Normally, this would not bother me so, but since it was a special occasion we were looking forward to a nice bathtub and romantic setting but found the atmosphere to be anything but. When we approached the front desk staff to see if we could be transferred to another room, we were quickly shot down by the manager who said that all hotel rooms were sold out. When I asked her if we could receive a discounted rate or some other options (perhaps free champagne or something special), she quickly shot that down. She did not smile once; she acted like she had better things to do: and ended our conversation with a “sorry for your bad luck” attitude. When I asked to speak with a manager, she said she was the manager and there was nothing else that could be done. She blamed everything on Expedia. She shrugged and could care less. Once back in our room, I contacted Hotels.com directly and they were the complete opposite customer service we recently experienced through Mary. Hotels.com was concerned, they looked at many options, but in the end they only refunded us $25.00. I accepted that because they had great customer service, but I thought we deserved more since the manager was so horrible to us and our hotel room was awful. I expected a much higher level of service from your hotel given the price we paid.

Had a great time! Stayed one night and enjoyed it so much came back later in the week. If I had any criticism it would be that the mattress could be upgraded. But I would definitely go back and probably will this summer.

Great location and a lot to do nearby.

Staff was friendly and location was excellent. The drawbacks with the room were noise from the boardwalk late at night and early in the morning and we were unable to get it really dark.

The hotel is right in the middle of the boardwalk and the music doesn't stop just because you want to go to bed. :(

overall nice place. The balconies are a joke. The hot air exhaust from window a/c makes it impossible to sit outside and enjoy the views.

It's a fun place to be and to stay. Lots to do or do nothing and sit on your balcony and watch the world go by.

Our stay at Kemah Inn was very pleasant, staff very freindly, everyone spoke as we passed, gave us directions, suggeated eating spots for certain foods. conviently located. We would stay again next trip except for longer time.

Clean rooms and friendly staff but rooms need curtains to darken them at night since outside lighting is very bright. The blinds aren't enough. The a/c works great!!! Overall, a pleasant stay.

If you're visiting the Kemah Boardwalk activities, this hotel is super convenient. You don't have to worry about parking, as they have parking on-site included with your hotel stay. The whistle & bell from the little kiddie train running through the Boardwalk can get a bit annoying, but it DOES eventually stop for the night.

The room was great and right on the Boardwalk made it so convenient. The band played until eleven so if you are early to be it might not be for you.

The hotel was a perfect stay. We were able to check in early with no problem and the rooms are very clean, staff were nice and we had a comfortable stay.

Rooms are a little small, but clean and well kept. Staff were great and the location can not be beat for Boardwalk fun. Very pricey if not booked through Hotels.Com. No amenities except location.

Staying at the BoardWalk Inn in Kemah was AMAZING. We were there to Celebrate our 23rd Anniversary and we had a GREAT Time and we had reservations at Landry's for dinner and the food was EXCELLENT we will return soon. MR-Texas

Maybe it was due to my late 10 PM arrival, but the front desk staff could have been more attentive. In spite of this distraction, I must admit that the accommodations at the Kemah Boardwalk Inn far exceeded my expectations. The rooms were spacious and clean and combined with the open seating areas on each floor were a nice touch. The breakfast at the adjacent restaurant was unremarkable and expensive. Visiting during the off season (December) allowed for a quiet ambience, but the downside was that most of the local attractions (shopping and especially the adjacent amusement park) were closed or had late opening times. Luckly it was a short trip (approximately 20 minutes) to the attractions in Galveston (the Seawall and Moody Gardens) which served as a back-up option.

Everything was just so perfect for our weekend getaway!

The Boardwalk Hotel makes your Kemah vist fun and safe when with children. It makes for a perfect place to stay while spending time visiting the restaraunts. The balcony from the room is perfect to watch performances also. It is a safe place for the kids to play in the arcade or visit the shops next to the hotel.

You can't beat the location if you plan on activities on the Kemah Boardwalk. But some normal conveniences you would expect are not there: in room mini fridge, microwave. And they do not allow any ice chests ...clearly trying to make more $$$ off you by forcing you to buy everything on the Boardwalk. Also, the hotel is very loud, we could clearly hear everything in the rooms next to us. We expected the noise from the outside due to the location, but even into the early morning hours, apparently there was some band in the hotel that was very loud as well. It is very convenient to be right there, but be aware of the restrictiosn on bringing in your own food/drinks and the noise factor.

This hotel is a great get-away while still being local to Houston. The wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and found the hotel charming, clean and comfortable. My only complaint is that it's not advertised that they have a hot tub and heated pool in the winter -- wish we had brought our swimsuits! It was really nice to drop our stuff off and enjoy the Kemah Boardwalk, where you could step right outside the hotel and have a variety of choices of great restaurants to enjoy. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was very conveniently located, among shops and restaurants in the middle of the boardwalk. My husband and I went in January, and we was surprised to find out there was a heated pool, so my husband and I picked up a couple of swimming suits and enjoyed the pool for a couple of hours. Each room has a balcony with a view of the water and boardwalk. It can be a little noisy, but the it becomes quiet at bed time when everyone leaves the boardwalk. Very pretty and fun.

Had a good time. A little cold but was nice. Room was very clean. Plenty of room inside. Loved being right in the middle of all the attractions to see and close to the eating places. I will make reservations again.

Visiting our kids who live in nearby Seabrook. Nice hotel connected to the Kemah boardwalk amusement park was fun as our grandkids were able to join us for a day and one night at the hotel.

Wonderful place, overlooking the Kemah Boardwalk. Staff is friendly and helpful. Lobby and room are bright and comfortable. Lovely balcony and the Boardwalk is a great romantic getaway. The eating places are great and just across from the room. Only thing that I would have liked is for the construction that was going on to not have happened till after check out time...woke me up. Still plan on going back again for a nice weekend getaway.

We loved the hotel...really nice and the front desk person was supper nice and helpful..we will be back for sure, with the rest of my family.

I have wanted to stay at your hotel for a very long time. I like to sit and watch people. Your hotel is perfect to do this. However, I am handicapped. The entire place is not that friendly to us. I guess my main complaint is that there is only one elevator to take us up and down. I'm not in a wheel chair yet, a walker. It would be so much easier to have an elevator at both ends of the hotel. We enjoyed our stay. My husband is a professional photographer and he got some really good photos of everything. Thank you. Mrs C G

I booked 2 rooms for our family with this hotel and here is what we received for our money. When we opened the door to our room, it had an overpowering foul odor. As all of the rooms in the hotel were booked we could not make a change. Then we had to call housekeeping to clean out a lager cobweb with a spider in it. The size of the web told me it had been there for awhile. I truly believe we were given the worst room because we booked through a third party website instead of the hotel itself. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Enjoyed the stay. Everything was really good. Vice peaceful and nice view. Rooms were big and comfortable.

I only stayed here for a night while visiting NASA, but, it looked like a fun place to stay and the rooms were spacious. Wish I was there longer!

Great hotel and friendly staff all in the heart of the Kemah Boardwalk. I'll be coming back again!

The wife an I were celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary and looking for a place to just get away and relax. We had read about the Kemah Boardwalk for a couple of years and we thought we would give it a try. The Staff was awesome and we definitely enjoyed and used their knowledge of the area. The hotel was in good shape and very clean and inviting. The items we did miss were the fridge and microwave in the rooms. Other than that we would efinitely reccommend the Boardwalk Inn to our friends and family.

The location on the Kemah Boardwalk is very nice but the lack of services was disturbing. During the week the only place to get breakfast (or coffee) was next door with a menu that was sorely lacking. You would think that some type of room service would be available as would an in room mini fridge. The staff was very nice and quite competent and the cleanliness of the Inn was outstanding.

The hotel was great and the staff were very nice. We had a problem with the TV when we checked in but it was promptly fixed.
