I enjoyed my stay. I'm a little OCD, so there were minor issues that I had to overcome. Our screens were bent in the windows and window sills were dirty, stains on the carpet and some other things. But my bed was comfy and ocean view was great!

We have stayed here before and plan to do so again. We would just avoid room 711 (view out back is a parking structure and out front is a staircase). We really appreciated that Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf coffee was available 24/7 in the lobby. Love their garden overlooking the sea.

A wonderful place to stay! The rooms are very comfortable, great beds, pillows and really enjoyed the fireplace. The grounds are beautiful with chairs along the cliff and flower gardens. The view of the ocean was spectacular! Will go back!

Very relaxing...just what we were looking for. Homemade cookies in the afternoon and a great breakfast all included for a great price. Great local restaurant walking distance.

Lovely place to stay, the room was a nice size and very comfortable. The breakfast choice was not bad, my husband enjoyed the waffles! Also the breakfast room was a nice size, often times you are crowded into a small area but this was very nice.

This was our second stay here. We love the location and the uniqueness of the inn. The staff is helpful and the view is lovely.

Stayed here on a family vacation up from San Diego. Very comfortable room, nice and really clean. Bed was the most comfortable in a week of very lumpy, squeaky beds. Fireplace was awesome, although it wasn't quite cold enough to use it, it was a nice touch. Close to Pismo's downtown area, very friendly staff and cookies in the lobby when you check in. Would stay again in a heart beat.

Fabulous location! The attendant at breakfast maybe wasn't thrilled with her job. Beautiful views from grounds with nice table

We stayed at a different property from the same management company in Cambria and liked that one a lot more. The staff was just OK here. Our room was way too warm and it wasn't even a hot day. Had to ask to move to a different room further away from the road due to noise. If we had an ocean view room, maybe it would have been a better experience.

This was a lovely cottage feel to the rooms. We only spent one night, which wasn't enough! The beach access is close (down a million steps). The breakfast was pretty standard, no frills. Cracked Crab in Pismo was a great choice for dinner.

Great location right on the coast. Cookies each day around 4 pm. Excellent breakfast includes make your own waffle! Good bed and linens. Who could ask for more? Not a new building, but well designed and maintained.

This is our second time staying here. Staff gets high marks from us for being friendly and very helpful. Good breakfast in the morning, makes you feel like you are at home only without having to make your bed in the morning! Easy access on and off Highway, to Pismo Beach, San Luis Obispo and Avila Beach. Ocean view hot tub and pool.

This is our second time staying here and we enjoyed it again. The rooms are nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is good.

Fantastic room; super service. Nice chairs by the cliffs for breakfast. Beach walk is a ways down the hotel row. Great picture spots. Loved the cruise touch with the folded towels in a heart swan shape!

We stayed for 1 night. It was dark upon arrival so we didnt know what a great view of the water we had until the next morning. The weather was great we slept with the windows open to listen to the ocean. Very clean, the ceiling fan in the room seemed very low and was very noisy. I loved having the fireplace as well but made the room quite hot real quick. Overall our stay was wonderful and would return for sure.

Loved walking down the steps to the pier. Walked to dinner - had great Thai food. Walked home and felt safe the entire time!

Very nice and right on the ocean with a easy to use walking path to the beach.

We have stayed at the Cottage Inn many times in the past. Our son was in college nearby. We were happy to see that this charming inn has been well maintained. The only shortcoming was the breakfast. It was a bit disappointing. I'd book it again.

I can't imagine anyone not being pleased with this hotel. You won't get an ocean view unless you pay for it- I ended up in two rooms during my stay due to load neighbors above me, the hotel staff was great and just moved me to another room on the second floor so that it wouldn't be a problem for the rest of the week- I liked the first room, and the second was even better! Second story had vaulted ceilings and a small patio. All rooms have a fireplace and they work almost too well! Was great for me as it was cold when I was there. Would be way too hot in the summer! Be advised, in both rooms the fridges froze my food if left for more than a day, and I couldn't figure out how to change the temperature on them. Hotel is steps from the beach, great common area overlooking the sea, and I was very satisfied with the complimentary breakfast (waffles, hot oatmeal, pastries, etc) although the coffee was horrible! Haha. Good shower heads too. You have to drive through town to get on the 101 south- if that's gonna bother you, stay off Five Cities Drive. El Centro market is the best place for groceries and Harmony House Yoga was a great find for Yoga in town. Will definitely stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay greatly! The room and fireplace was so cozy and comforting and the stairway straight to the beach was a perfect morning delight! The entire ambiance made me feel like I was on mini getaway and I liked it greatly! I will be back to stay very soon!

Great location over looking the beach the room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable I was very impress by there rates...

wonderful they greeted us with gifts being it was our 54 year wedding anniversary and greeted and accepted our dog.

Quick, efficient service at check-in and check-out. Beautiful room, charming decor and lovely fireplace. Breakfast facility also charming and efficient- great selection of breakfast food. Will definitely stay there again!

Great Place to Stay. Right on Ocean overlook.

great hotel,worth paying more for an ocean view

Quick overnight while passing through town. Staff was friendly. Room was more spacious and more nicely furnished than I expected for the rate -- even included a fireplace, though I didn't use it. Included breakfast was also nicer than I was expecting for the price. Terrific value.

Sit out on the cliff side and watch the sun go down. Pillows galore on the beds. Wonderful breakfast.

We loved this place! We were hesitant when booking because even though the pictures looked fabulous, the rate was $40-$50 less then surrounding hotels. We were shocked when we arrived to find a charming, extremely clean and adorable hotel. Our room was cleaned by Magdalena who always greeted us in the hallways with a smile! We have stayed in the hotel just next door (one that had a rate $50 more per night) and this hotel was by far more enjoyable. Rooms have plenty of light and space making you feel relaxed and right at home. We enjoyed sitting in the jacuzzi that overlooks the ocean. Also, the complimentary continental breakfast was exceptional...but so much more then continental. Steel cut oatmeal station, bagels, pastries and a waffle making station was the perfect way to start our day.

It was a very comfortable place, quite quaint and close to the beautiful beach.

Cosy hotel, right on the cliff edge. Access to the beach is from the property. Parking at your door. Only negative is the room decor is a little twee.
