This was a convienent hotel. We were catching another tour so needed to be close. Dublin is a walking city and this hotel was centrally located. The breakfast was not included but well worth the 10 Euro extra. Best breakfast we had on the trip. I would recommend it.

Overall a good hotel to stay in for convenience to the city. Computers in business centre a bit old. WiFi was down but having spent 45 mins trying to access a it was eventually informed of this. Staff at reception could have been a little more pleasant. A couple in from USA were checking in when i was checking out and all i can say is they would not not have experienced "Ireland of a thousand welcomes"!!

Yes our 5th visit! - a reasonably priced hotel conveniently situated for the city centre, 15 minute walk to Grafton St and about the same to the Aviva Stadium and Ballsbridge area. OK so there are signs of wear and tear around the hotel but it's clean, the staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the evening meal we had there was the cheapest we had during our stay and very filling. It continues to be our first choice when visiting Dublin.

Perfect location for dublin city exploration. Car park was full by time i arrived...6pm on friday, luckily there was spaces on the road, didn't need a ticket after 6.30 so took a chance. Was concerned about car but all fine in the morning. Walked into town and out again at 2am, numerous people walking in general direction, so felt safe. Plentiful amount of taxis if needed one though. Didn't have food or drink there this time but have had in past, typical restaurant/bar. Would recommend.

Had a reasonably pleasant stay at the Mespil. The staff are personable and friendly - the bed was comfortable - the bedding crisp and fresh - and the room clean. Unfortunately, the room sported some of the ugliest curtains I have ever seen in a hotel and the water pressure was exceptionally weak, making a good soap-up and rinse difficult.

Average room but great location. Parking is a disaster in the area. If you have a car get there early park in the car park at the rear. I arrived there at 18:00 and the carpark was full for the night. I had to park on the street. It took 20 minutes to find a space. Don't park on the road across the road, It's a loading bay and everyone was clamped.

Hotel is modern, large and clean with good restaurant for breakfast. The hotel is a good 10-15 minutes walk to Grafton Street but that was not a problem as area around hotel was pretty quiet at night and I was able to sleep well. Hotel is recommended in both Frommers and Rick Steves Ireland guidebooks. Excellent fish and chips takeout is 1/2 block to the right of hotel entrance along with small grocery stores and other restaurants. Aircoach stop is about 5-7 minutes walk from left of hotel entrance and is a less expensive alternative getting back and forth from airport. When boarding aircoach at airport ask which stop is closest to Mespil Road. Staff friendly and helpful on directions.

The Mespil is my first choice in Dublin. Combination of location, rooms, ambience,service and especially, price make this probably the best all round package in Dublin. We've been going there for ten years and have never been disappointed.

I was disappointed from the condition of this hotel. Room was dated, bathroom smelled, towels were almost grey and found a big mascara stain on one of them. Walk to some attractions was farther than expected.

nice hotel, ideally situated. well presented and as you would expect for a 3* place. Only complaint...the bed and sheets were not the most comfortable.

The Hotel was a little hard to find, not a lot of people knows where the street is! but once i got to the hotel it was worth it! The hotel is really nice ! not too far from city center, the room is also clean and has all the basics! would definitly stay here again

The mespil is a good clean hotel. Staff were friendly and service was good. It is located by the canal within 15mins walk of Grafton street and close to the light rail system. A couple of points to note would be that the car park is very small so come early and get your spot, there was no ac in the room which was not a problem in fen but might be in June. Overall good value given the standard and rates, I would recommend and will use again.

Reason for staying hrer while in Dublin for Weekend was advertised free Carparking. We had to park on main road next to the Canal. We could have stayed in city centre for similar value and avoided 4 x 12 Euro Taxi,s to Christchurch.

The hotel was relaxing and friendly. The girl at check in was very pleasant and welcoming. The hotel is istuated in a nice area of the city. one fault only, more attention to the finer detail when cleaning the rooms.

This hotel was clean and the room was quite. Location-wise I would stay here again as it really is just 10 mins walk from St. Stephens Green. Overall a good experience.

On arrival at the Mespil hotel, we were greeted by professional and helpful staff. The rooms both groups of our party had were very clean, modern and very comfortable. The terrace bar was excellent for food and very comfortable for evening drinks, and all staff throughout the hotel were extremely helpful and really friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here on my next trip to Dublin.

Location was great, ten min walk to main night life spots, only €5 for taxi back! Rooms were clean and spacious, would definitely go back.

Hotel was excellent but had to park a mile away. If any big event is on in Dulin or the Aviva stadium

Check in was great, the night staff were very friendly. When I checked out the next morning they were not as nice and were kinda rude. Breakfast was amazing. Room was nothing special. Bar was wonderful, yummy food, good drinks.

The only drawback is that the hotel's location makes the walk to major areas of interest a bit long, but the bus service is convenient and the walk is doable. The room is quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff are helpful and friendly. There are numerous inexpensive options for food very close by the hotel.

Very nice,comfortable hotel,within walking distance of city centre. We did not eat in the hotel so can not comment on the food.

I was extremely impressed with the Mespil Hotel. Very well located just outside city centre, easy walking distance to all attractions and shopping streets. Staff were friendly and helpful regarding tourist attractions, buses, taxis as well . Rooms neat and clean, wonderfully spacious. Excellent facilities, Terrace Bar and Bisto, Very tasty food, great breakfast.

The hotel has limited secure parking with pay and display for those who don't get in. Staff are BRILLIANT. They couldn't be more helpful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. A shuttle bus runs to the city centre making the location really good

Located on the south side of the Grand Canal, and therefore convenient for the southern edge of the city centre (for people who don't mind walking). Pleasant, good value, with spacious rooms. Also, for a little extra, a very good Irish breakfast. The room that I was in was very quiet, so the windows must have been soundproofed. The only criticism which I would make is that the wireless broadband did not work. Overall, a very good business hotel.

Very friendly staff, could find no fault with anything about the hotel. Location good for the City Centre as well.

It was a very good experience. I really enjoyed the stay at Mespil. Comfortable rooms, free wi-fi, front staff were very nice.

The first room we entered had a strong feces smell so we asked to change rooms. After moving down the hall, we entered the second room only to be surprised that this room had an extremely strong odor as well. We were not able to open the windows more than 2 inches (safety feature, I guess) to air out the room. Over all I would not recommend this hotel to others. There are many other good priced hotels.

very comfy & quiet, free internet in the lobby & free parking , which is unheard of in Dublin.

we stayed in the mespil on the bank holiday weekend in august .we were in dublin to attend a concert in the o2. the location was perfect a short taxi ride away. room was clean, food was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. the only down side was the lack of activity at night time. there was no atmosphere about the place.you would have to leave the hotel for entainment .only suitable for a quiet stay away

I've found my place for all future visits to Dublin! The Mespil Hotel is very good value and conveniently located about 10 minutes walk from St. Stephen's Green. Although it is classed as 3 star, it is as good as many 4 star hotels in my opinion. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Bar food was excellent and parking is free. It is very easy to access by car and is close to the Luas. The staff were very friendly and we really enjoyed our stay. I will definitely stay here again.

The Mespil is a long way from the city center of Dublin. That being said, the hotel itself was good; the only problem being it has no air conditioning. Although not usually a problem I'm assuming, we were there during a particularly warm week. They did bring a fan though which helped. If you figure out the bus system the hotel isn't too far out though which we finally figured out toward the end of our stay.
