Goldridge Resort - كوينزتاون

We booked this hotel according to the good reviews, and being a budget hotel. For this price, really you can't expect much more, it was clean however, but very cold, old, the double bed bowed in the middle and the pillows were too high and hard! As I mentioned, it is perfectly adequate for a stop-over, but anything longer, no thanks! The girl on reception was lovely, and the room had a view of the lake, so not all bad. As I said, good for a budget hotel.

We enjoyed an excellent 4 night stay at Goldridge. The hotel is in a great location just 5 minutes out of Queenstown and our Lake View room had tremendous views. The reception and bar / restaurant staff were extremely friendly and helpful recommending some of the best things to do. The food in the bar was very good and reasonably priced, perfect to relax after a long trip to Milford Sound. Overall - highly recommended.

Really nice hotel. Comfortable room with stunning views of the Lake. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Little bit out of town but the walk by the lake is amazing and the free shuttle service is great.

two words: private spa I stayed at Goldridge for my honeymoon and we found the private spa very...relaxing. The room was very nice and modern looking. The view overlooked the wonderful Queenstown lake. Parking is a little cramped, but even if you find a bad spot, the walk is very short to your room.

We haf an excellent stay. Magnificant view of the lakes from the room. Very friendly and helpful staff at reception and in the restuarant. Restarant food was good and sensibly priced. Need to go into the town for other meals. We would go back.

We visited during the ski season. It was warm, clean and quite. Great for a warm down after skiing all day and had WiFi, Sauna, Bar & Hot Tub, all the essentials for Apres......It was all in all goo value. The only small downside is that it's 5 min drive to town, but there is a shuttle, buses and failing that Taxis.....

Was awesome good crew big rooms with a good bar and decent meals .. And not to far from town with some great views at a great price :)

This hotel was a decent place to spend the night. The hotel amenities had everything that was required. the service was quite good. They helped plan our tours both for skiing and Milford Sound. The restaurant had decent food and we really enjoyed their dessert. The staff were kind when we requested for information. However the hotel is on a hill top (overlooking the lake) but is not the best spots if you dont have a car. it's a good 7 minute drive into the town center although there is plenty of parking in town itself (for free). The hotel staff the following morning helped us put our snow chains which was very very helpful.

The resort overlooked a beautiful lake and was easy to access. Our room was in an older section of the property, but it was large and super clean. The best part was the wonderfully helpful woman at the reception area. She gave us easy to follow directions how to get to various attractions in town and recommended restaurants. She helped us figure out which was the best Lord of the Rings tour to take, based on our interest and time frame. It was so nice that she was able to book the tour for us and had us keep our car at the hotel until we got back.

We stayed at the Goldridge Resort on two occasions, both before and after we went on the Milford Track. The hotel accommodated us by keeping some of our luggage while we were on the hike, which was very helpful. Our room was the standard courtyard view (meaning parking lot) which was nice and clean. Our friends had the queen bed with the lake view which was very nice. Just be forewarned of two things that took us by surprise. We booked this hotel primarily because of its location near the airport and the complimentary shuttle service. Be warned: the shuttle does NOT go to the airport. It was about a 2 mile walk for us to walk back to the hotel after dropping off our rental car at the airport. The complimentary shuttle only runs hourly from 5 pm to 9 pm (with reservations) to take guests to Queenstown for dinner and will pick guests up at a quarter after the hour, again if prior arrangements have been made. The othe issue it that the hotel parking lot was extremely small.

The hotel room was pretty old, not as many nice convienences (coffee/tea service, refrigerator, etc) like other hotels in country. The best thing about it was the price for the area. It's a bit of a drive into town and though there is a nice walking track, it's a long walk! Luckily they do have a shuttle that can pick you up if you walk to town.

This hotel was much better than expected for the good deal we got on price. The courtyard room we had on the first floor had a great view of the mountains beyond. A number of tour groups were booked in but they did not worry us. The local bus runs every 15 minutes into Queenstown and a free hotel shuttle goes every hour. However there is nowhere to walk to locally so a car is necessary but not essential

With so much to do in Queenstown NZ the room was really only for sleeping and showering (base) its was clean and well presented and one of the best features ws the laundry with washing machine and dryer at really great prices. I would recommend it to everyone

i chose this hotel since it advertised great views of the remarkables, which it might have if I had the right room. i was a little surprised i had to walk up a hill from the bus stop to get to the hotel. to see the advertised views i walked back down the hill, crossed the highway and walked along the path above the water. they did have a town shuttle as advertised, but you always had to call ahead for it and it only ran from 9am to 9pm with a break from 1-4pm, so i wish i stayed closer to town which is where i spent most of my time.

No issues booking in - room was on top floor with magnificent view of lake. This view would be hard to beat, even in town. The service by staff was A1, particularly when it came to the bus shuttle into town. The breakfast offered a good selection and was most enjoyable. We booked via the internet, and the value for money would be hard to top. Would have no hesitation in recommending this resort to others.

The glodridge was only a 2 min drive away from the city centre. It was good and beneficial to us, as it provided us with free parking, unlike some of the other accomodation in the city centre that made you pay for your car space! The goldridge is a little bit old, but is maintained quite well and you can see that they are currently renovating different areas of the hotel, which will be a bonus for anyone staying there in the next few months! We had a lake side view room, which had adequate space for us to move around and room for luggage. The view was magnificant and it was lovely to wake up to it everymorning. They had a small heater in the room, which at first i thought was really crappy, but after the first night, it actually worked very well once it got started. The Goldridge also offers electric blankets as well, so you wont be freezing in the cold weather over there!! If ther is anything that i found a little annoying about the goldridge, was that the housekeeping sometimes got missed, and we had to call receptiopn on 2 occasions to come and either clean the rooom, or provide us with new towels. Reception were quick to act on it, but i think that we shouldn't have to remind staff to do their job, and we are paying for a service! Other than that, the bathroom is adequate, and they provide many TV stations to watch so I was quite happy with my overall stay at the goldridge. I would reccommend this hotel to other members.

We had two rooms the one with aviewover the lake was very pleasant but the other room overlooked the car park and had shower which appeared to be in the process of renovation. We used th hotel for a overnight stay after arriving at Queenstown airport and it wasideal for this.

It's reasonable for this price and cannot expect anything much more than this. The equipments and rooms a bit old. Location is not very far from Queenstown Center. Comparing with others, I think if we didn't pay all 3 nights, we might move to others in center of Queenstown as we can effort some higher price.
