Awesome view of the mountains and oak creek

The central location, on the main highway, is perfect. The view from the room, facing the creek and the mountains, is very peaceful and beautiful. A very safe, quiet and private atmosphere. The room was clean and decorated nicely. Small bathroom, but sufficient, and included a mini-fridge and coffee maker.

All rooms have a great view of the beautoful mountains. Its close to dowtown sedona and starbucks right across the street. Great stay.

Could not have asked for better hotel for the price. View off private deck was awesome. Spacious room, very nice. Will stay at the hotel on future visits! Close to everything. We walked to shopping and to dinner.

Creekside view room - was wonderful for the balcony with beautiful view of Oak Creek, and incredible views of Snoopy Rock and what I think is called Schnebly Hill. View of rocks from pool and hot tub, too. Pool is seasonal - meaning not heated. Lounge chairs by pool were dirty. Room was clean, not updated. Bed was on the hard/uncomfortable side. Pillows small and flat. Plastic flowers on table and silk fake tree was dusty. Ice maker in lobby only, which is open from 6:30-10:30. Great location at Sedona "Y", walk to Starbucks and Wildflower Bakery across the street on 89A, Tlapaque arts village down the street (179), Red Rocks BBQ across the street on 179. If you are a light sleeper perhaps ask for a 2nd floor room. We stayed in first floor room and could hear footsteps of guests in room above - didn't bother us, though. Good flat screen TV. Stained glass window in bathroom above toilet next to shower didn't make bathroom 100% private, maybe 90%. Hard to maintain temperature of room with air unit, which was needed due to room location over what we think was laundry room for hotel.

This was our first visit to Sedona but will not be out last. Cedars Resort truly is within walking distance of uptown, shopping, restaurants and to top it off the view of the mountains and sound of Oak Creek was amazing. We will put Cedars Resort on our list for our next trip to Sedona and will recommend to others.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. I was disappointed in the Morning hotel clerk. My husband and I had been on the road and arrived early, we knew we could not check in yet. I really needed to use the restroom and asked if I could use their restroom. He told me I could not and I could go over to the Burger King across the street. This hotel is near a roundabout and walking to this Burger King was quite a walk. I could understand this Hotel not wanting everyone off the street to use their restrooms, but I was a paid guest, and I know he didn't walk acreoss the street to use the restroom. He basically told me I could check in at 4:30. Just was not welcoming.

Enjoyed being close to all the shops and dining areas. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. Had a room on the back side facing the creek and the Snoopy formation. Did not have much interaction with the front desk staff other than picking up my room key and dropping it off on leaving. Some minor things to consider: I did have a lower floor room and the people above us must have been heavy footed because everytime they would walk around we could hear it. We were also disturbed by the contant open and closing of the doors from the rooms next to ours, don't know why but it seems like they were having trouble closing their doors so it would close with a loud noise everytime they went in and out. Be aware that the hotel is located on a round about and traffic sometimes made it difficult to get in the right lane to make the turn into the hotel parking.

Very over priced for the condition of the room. It's an old hotel/motel that needs a face lift inside and out. The bed head board was very dusty, the bed covering was stained, the carpet should be replaced,and the patio door lock was broken. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

It was very relaxing and had an amazing view.

Had an amazing time, the hotel was within walking distance of almost everywhere we went to.

Worst service EVER!!!!! Wanted 20 per hour after check for a late check out!!! If it wasn't for the view and location this place would bomb!!!!

Our experience with the Motel was better than expected- the room was large and well decorated and the bed was comfortable. There were some down sides, however - the bathroom was outdated and small, the continental breafkast was minimal and the ice machine was inconveniently located. However, the balcony view more than compensated for the shortcomings mentioned,

Beautiful view from balcony of mt rocks and nice room, but too much light coming in thru door window. It needs a shade or cover. I prefer dark quiet room for sleep. Desk clerk was very helpful on check in on near by restaurants.

Beautiful view, close to shopping, but just a small room with a tiny bathroom. Too many flying bugs to sit out on balcony.

Was a good place for sightseeing

The hotel was convenient which was very important. However, the staff were not particularly friendly or accommodating. Although it stated that there was access to the river, the gate was locked by 4:15pm and nothing was said about this to us when we checked in, which was disappointing. Although breakfast was advertised, the check-in staff were reluctant to disclose anything about it until pushed. They said it 'wasn't advertised'.

This is a nicely maintained hotel that manages to be both centrally located within walking distance of the main shopping area (and across the street from Starbucks) yet also very quiet and peaceful, probably because the rooms face out over the stream with a nice view of the red rocks. I would absolutely stay here again.

We have stayed here before and I think the hotel is underrated. Rooms are a good size and on the creekside there are amazing views of the red rocks. The crickets are really noisy though ! Close to the main street in Sedona although there was a limited choice of restaurants for dinner. Sedona is a nice town and this is a good base from which to explore it.

The room was very clean, service at front desk great, view from balcony of the room was outstanding and the location was to die for. Will definately return to The Cedars when we return to Sedona. We go at least 3 times a year as a get away and shopping with family and friends. I really like this motel.

The views of the canyon were spectacular. Very convenient location.

Good place to stop on our way to Yosemite. Great location.

Room was clean and comfortable and the view off of the balcony was wonderful. It made staying here very worthwhile. The main drag in Sedona with shops, restaurants, etc is within easy walking distance of this hotel.

The location is ultra-convenient. The views were 100% Sedona. Our only complaint was the vanity area could only accommodate 1 person

We loved the location , veiws from out room .. the lady at front desk was so nice and informative on Sedona Az ..Very nice room , will stay again if in sedona .

Had a great stay! The view from the balcony was spectacular. The room was not fancy but comfortable and clean. John at the front desk was professional, friendly, kind and accommodating. Only one night but got everything we wanted out of a Sedona night.

Room exceeded expectations as it was listed as a 2* hotel. Great view of the Red Rock mountains, and at night you can hear Oak Creek down below. Price seemed a little high, but it was in the middle of everything and within walking distance of all the shops and hotels. Would stay there again!!

Stayed a Cedars for a short weekend away. Great location, were able to walk down to the creek right from hotel. Walking distance to main tourist attractions. Room was okay, but as others have mentioned the view was great! Stayed in similarly priced places in Sedona without even close to this view, tremendous. Staff was courteous. Only negative was the hotel shampoo smells like dishsoap, bring your own shampoo.

My wife and I were very pleased with our accommodations at the Cedars resort. The room was clean, spacious and we had a beautiful balcony view of the Red rock Mesas. Traveling to all hiking trails was easy, we highly recommend the West Fork Hike! We are not big shoppers, though the Tourist part of town was quaint but once thru is enough. Sedona is all about being in the wild. Spent a full day doing Montezuma Castle and well . The well was a real surprise; thanx to the Ranger who compelled us to go! We did "A Day in the west" sunset Jeep Tour ask for Reyne and tell her we said hello. She provides a real local perspective on the area; much appreciated. Thanx and see you again

We chose this hotel due to the convenient location in town and short driving distance to the nearby hiking trails and absolutely loved the location! All rooms overlook Oak Creek Canyon and our room had a magnificient view of the creek as well as the surrounding red rocks. We slept with the windows open and listened to the creek all night. Heavenly! Although the rooms/bathroom were somewhat small and the hotel had no restaurant, what it lacks in the bells and whistles, makes up for with the location and view. We will stay here again if we ever make it back to Sedona!

the toilet plumbing was "loud". You could hear people walking & talking in other rooms.

My husband and I stayed at Cedar Resort on March 21, 2012 and we were very impressed with the hotel. This was our first visit to Sedona and the location was perfect for easy walking to the main tourist area and restaurants. Our king room was very clean, spacious and had a wonderful view of the red rocks of Sedona. This hotel also has a lovely outdoor pool, hot tub and work-out gym. Breakfast of juice, coffee, pastries, bagels, and fruit were included at no cost to us. The reason for the 2 Star rating is that they do not have a conference room, nor a restaurant. There are many reasonable restaurants less than a 5 minute walk of this hotel.

We reported the shower was not working on our arrival (water was boiling coming out of it and if one stood under it could have been severely burned) so we could only wash ourselves. The following day was reported again plus the hair dryer did not work or the coffee maker and for our two days stay nothing was done. Bad value for money.

We stayed at Cedars Resort in a king size room with a balcony overlooking the beautiful hills of Sedona. The room was very clean when we arrived and well maintained during our two-night stay. The only clue that this is an older hotel is the size of the bathroom (very small). The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast consisted of coffeee, juice, bagels, pastries and fruit which was more than adequate for my wife and I. The drive from Flagstaff to Sedona was an unexpected and delightful suprise. The switchback down the side of the canyon and the road through Oak Creek Canyon is exciting with beautiful views all around. There is a large scenic lookout at the top of the canyon which we didn't realize was there until we drove back up the canyon on our way back to Flagstaff. If you're driving south from Flagstaff, it's on your left hand side just before the switchback starts. We took the three-hour Pink Jeep Tour of the rim and Broken Arrow and it was well worth the price. The Grand Canyon is only about 2 1/2 hours drive from Sedona.

Best view in town on the creek side. Very nice place for 2 starts. Location is excellent. Convenient to walk to shops or resteraunts. Rooms arent super fancy but neither is the price (for Sedona hotels). Will stay here again. I recommend.

Very clean, well kept property. It's a "no frills" kind of place, but we had a fantastic view from our room's balcony, and the hotel is walking distance to shops & restaurants.

The most convenient hotel in Sedona. I parked my car and forgot about it. Perfect.

This felt like a motel 6 in disguise. I received a 15 minute lecture from the clerk when checking out about whether or not there was any personal information on the electronic strip on the two cent hotel key. I would not recommend this hotel for the price.

When I researched and ultimately booked this hotel, I knew that I might encounter a not-so-friendly atmosphere (staff) as per the reviews, but the price and location was right and if it was just the staff that was the problem, I figured, why not. Unfortunately, we were greeted just as expected. Before we even walked in the door, the owner? leaned against the guardrail and said to my husband, "I have a question for you, Sir. Is that trash? Please go outside and throw it in the dumpster back there". Listen, we were not going to litter the reception, we just wanted to check in early (which he wouldn't do) and look for a place to throw our garbage. Anyway, I felt that that could have waited until after we were greeted and checked in. Needless to say, not a warm reception. The man behind the counter wasn't friendly for the rest of the conversation, although I'm not sure it's intentional. I think he's just like that. We later met his wife(?) who was just as unfriendly. Which is too bad because the location of the resort is perfect, conveniently located at the Y. As for the rooms... they were clean, albeit somewhat dated. The bathroom is very small, the shower curtain had paint on it, the toilet could probably stand to be replaced... Perhaps I'm a little too picky, but the resort is not that big, that they couldn't pay closer attention to certain detail. This would compensate for the small, older set up of the rooms. I will pay an extra $50.00 next time for a higher standard.

一人旅で利用させていただきました。アップタウンにも５分程度で行け、部屋はとっても清潔で広く、部屋からの景色も最高でした。予約時の注意点(ロビーが空いている時間の制限があります。)を読まずレイトチェックインの連絡をしていなかったため、夜中の1時にシャトルバスで着いた私はロビーのドアに記載された緊急連絡先に連絡をしてもらい、20分後に来ていただきました。優しいおじいさんが対応してくださり、先にシャトルバスの人を帰して(おそらく一人旅だったので後で変な人が押し入ってこないための対応だった気がしました。)部屋まで案内してくださいました。前日迷惑をかけたにも関わらず、朝ロビーで笑顔で対応してくださったのが印象的でした。また次回も利用したいと思いました。

セドナの中心「Ｙ（ワイ）」と呼ばれる地点にあるホテルです。利便性が非常に高く，車がない人，運転できない人は，ここに泊ると良いと思います。ホテルの高いセドナで，この地の利でこの値段なら，値打ちがあると思います。新しくはないけれどホテルの状態も良く，部屋からの眺めも絶景で，非常に満足しました。あえてひとつだけあげるとするなら，バスタブに前の宿泊者の毛髪が１本残っていたのが気になったぐらいでしょうか。朝食はついていませんが，向かいのハイアット・ホテルのショッピングアーケードに行けば，スターバックスも，ワイルドフラワーというパン屋もあるので，特に困りはしません。節約したいなら，セドナに行く前にパンとジュースなどを，泊数分買っていくと良いと思います。

セドナ・グランドキャニオン旅行中に妻と一泊しました。立地はセドナの入り口にあり便利でした。部屋は渓谷側だったのですがベランダがあり、目の前にスヌーピーロックが見えます。周辺に飲食店もあり、目の前のスターバックスからの景色もよかったです。壁が薄く、隣の部屋のドア開閉の音が聞こえたり、上の階の人が歩くとギシギシ音がしましたがアメリカのモーテルでは一般的な水準かと思います。

ホテルの人もみんな親切で、場所もどこに行くにもとても便利でした。 次回もまた、泊まりたいと思います。

Sehr angenehm und ruhig.

窓からの眺めが最高です。 スヌーピーロックが見えます。 夜は星が見えてテラスに机とイスがあるのでゆったり過ごせます。 お部屋も広く清潔です。 朝ごはんがなかったのが残念ですがすぐ近くに美味しいカフェなどがあるので問題なしです！ フェニックスからのシャトルも止まってくれ、宿泊費もリーズナブルなので大満足でした！

Promenadavstånd till affärer. Trevlig personal, fina rum, bekväm säng och Hänförande utsikt från balkongen och poolen. Frukosten var inte så speciell men du fick bagel, pålägg och juice, så det var okej ändå. Vi rekommenderar att ni bor på andra våningen med Canyon utsikt.
