Safari Inn, a Coast Hotel - بروبانك

Stayed for 4 nights during a family visit. Great central location for the Valley. Room was nice, simple and clean. No complaints at all. Will stay here again.

The pictures of the Safari Inn create a false impression -- that it is a retro-cool hotel. It isn't. It is just an old motel on a busy street with no charm except the old sign. The staff was pretty unhelpful, door keys rarely worked, the room smelled of the manure and wood chips used in the patch of greenery outside. Noise came in from outside, the street, the other floor. The bed was clean and comfortable enough, but the pillows were lumpy and too hard. Dark rooms relieved us from having to look at the dingy and aged decor and stained carpet. We left after the second night, although we paid for more. Miss this one.

The room and staff were great! Location was awesome and being from L.A. and just coming back to visit it has been the best hotel I stayed in for my budget. Thanks and God bless.

Its ok , good location close to Universal Studios , but one of the rooms had odor.It was late so we didn`t complain.

I live and work close to the hotel site. I woke up last Friday morning and realized I needed a one night getaway with a pool and a nice big bed. Safari Inn is perfect for that. The pool is small but gets plenty of sun all day long, and the architecture on the two-story pool area is old school, interesting, and pretty. I was really pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the rooms and how nice the staff was. Room service from the next-door restaurant took a little while but was good and reasonably priced. The only downside to the hotel is that it overlooks Olive Ave, which is busy about 24/7. It's not the most serene environment. But it also means there's a CVS and McDonald's within walking distance, both total plusses.

I have to say the room was nice, nothing fancy but it did the job. Room was clean & bed was comfortable 2 things I really need. One thing I wish the king bed I wanted was available but it wasn't they wanted to give me 2 full bed but when your there with the person you love why do you want 2 beds. So we had to up grade for the king, BUT again clean room & comfortable bed. I was happy. :-)

This is a hotel that is semi close to alot of attractions in Burbank about 15 minutes to universal and walking distance to The tonight show taping but other than location, not much good, beds were hard and rest of hotel and area noisy

Hotel was in a great location - clean neighborhood, easy access to freeways, etc. Hotel staff was very accommodating when we had noisy neighbors - they moved us immediately without fuss. We would stay at this location again.

The outside is Californian classic motel style and pleasing if you like that sort of thing. The sign and palm trees make the place. Simply tired an drab inside the rooms. Thankfully I was only there to sleep but I might have gone looking for sharp objects if I had to spend any more time in there than that. Staff? Super friendly, remember who you are, the saving grace of the whole experience. If Coast, the management, refreshed this place it would be a winner.

The Safari Inn is in a great location for a trip to the LA area. Near many things in a good area. Good room, clean. I noticed one complaint about the small lot, but there is more free parking at their sister hotel right across the side street. It means walking maybe 100 ft. In a 4 day stay with many late evenings we only had to park in the other lot once when we got back after 2:00 am. There's plenty of free parking. The only problem we had was getting towels from housekeeping. There were 4 people in our room and only 3 bath towels. I had to ask them again every day of our stay to get a 4th towel. Irritating.

Near enough to all the sights in LA while being far enough away to escape. Burbank is quiet, and the hotel is right near the highway. If you just need a basic hotel to crash at, this is your best bet. Nice rooms, no issues. Some kind of coffee table would have been nice, and the TV was really old, so we couldn't hook up our game system, but those are minor complaints. They were really accomodating when we had to shorten our stay (we let them know a day ahead of time)

We just completed a three night stay at this hotel. The only reason we stayed there was because my daughter's cheer squad had chosen this hotel. We weren't quite sure what to expect and we ended up being pleasantly surprised. It was very clean and comfortable and the staff was wonderful. It was super convenient to everything. We even walked to and from restaurants in the evenings. I definitely would recommend it!

In Burbank and close to the studios. Easy to get to Hollywood or anywhere really in LA. Would and will def stay at again. Clean older rooms nice staff.

After a long day at universal, this is a perfect place to crash. Bed was ok, shower pressure was great and nice and hot. The only thing that I would have to complain about is that there is not much parking when arriving late at night, but doesn't really matter cause you can park along the main street. Other than that this place was perfect for location and price. Will definately stay here again in the future:)

Nice conveniently located hotel in LA with great swimming pool and surprisingly quite rooms.

I could not believe how well preserved this old motel was. The rooms and even the parking lot were spotless. Vert clean and well maintained. This is not your new cookie cutter hotel, it has some character. Would stay again. Great location and price as well!

Our room was clean, and neat, although one of the pillows smelled slightly of cigarette smoke (we were in a non-smoking room. There are a couple of nice restaurants within walking distance. You could hear cars driving by on the street all night, hear people in the next room doing who knows what and people outside the door talking and unfortunately smoking. With ash trays on the walkway between every few rooms having a non-smoking room isn't a reality.

The Inn advertises that free WiFi is available. However, service is poor to nonexistent at times. Also, the mattress in my room, while clean, needed an upgrade. It was fine for one person, but two would have had trouble sleeping.

I was a little put off at first because it was a motel, not hotel and I have serious reservations about motels being a single female. I asked to see a room, which was extremely clean and very big. It was a very comfortable stay.

We have always chosen the Safari Inn when we've wanted to put up visiting relatives who we can't accommodate in our small Burbank house. The Safari Inn is clean, reasonably priced and close to where we live. Sure, the place is looking a little frayed around the edges from its many years of excellent service, but the overall impression is still that of a well-run, no-frills establishment. However, this time around my guests had terrible problems with electronic keys and locks that refused to open when they returned to the rooms late at night. I've stayed in hotels all over the world, from 5-star to fallen star, and I've never experienced so much trouble night after night just trying to open the blasted door. The managers were always very accommodating when we needed help, but we shouldn't have had to bother them so often. There were excuses: we must have compromised the magnetic strip when they rubbed up against electronics we were carrying, somebody inside must have put the deadbolt in place or we just weren't putting the key in at the right angle. Hogwash. By the third night our key handling prowess was the envy of international spies, high society jewel thieves and professional cat burglars... and we still couldn't get in. My key recommendation to this hotel is as follows. Get a new key and lock system or The Safari Inn may very well be locked out of our consideration the next time our relatives come to call.

We stayed for Christmas Eve to be near family just a mile away. Check-in attendant was very nice and polite but Check-out attendant was very brusk, and not friendly at all. The level of the hotel is about the same as a Motel 6 but a bit pricier, I suppose because of the convenient location to Universal Studios. Would stay here again for other family occaisions since all we did there was sleep there and it is clean. Note Hotels.com had a special discounted rate and we booked 3 hours before we arrived. Saved 30% more than the already discounted rate.

If you are looking for an affordable, eclectic, historic landmark, the Safari Inn is perfect. Conveniently located to all of the studios. The money we saved went toward an amazing night out on the town. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

The rooms are spacious and especially clean. The most clean rooms I've seen for this price range. Sadly some amenities like a microwave are missing but again, a place where I felt save and comfortable. One thing I would complain is the TV quality which was sometime not ok. But hey, there are so many interesting places out there, go and watch them.

Everything was good, enjoyed my stay.

The hotel is an older style 2 floor building where the rooms face outside. My room was very spacious with a king bed and surprised to see a full kitchen. Perfect for families who are there for site seeing. It's also 5 minutes from the airport which is very cool. The Internet was blazing fast 5 down 2 up. Very good for hotel Internet. A comfortable friendly place all around.

Great location, near resaurants and a CVS. Hotel staff was pleasant and accomodating. Room was spacious w/ refrigerator. The only thing missing was a microwave. Would definitely reccomend this hotel to friends- the price is right!

The Safari Inn is a typical motel with the exception of it's very nice swimming pool. The rooms are so so but the location is good for most attractions in Burbank and surrounding area. There is no continental breakfast but coffee and coffeemaker are provided in room. HOWEVER, it tastes like turpentine...AWFUL. We stayed here 3 yrs. ago and the coffee is still the same... terrible! Price is pretty good, but I recommend spending just a little more and staying at the Portofino Inn just a few blocks from the Safari..nicer rooms, good continental breakfast, and GREAT coffee...unless swimming is important to you...then stay at the Safari Inn.

This was our second stay at this property. We were there to see the sights of LA and the surrounding area. However, we did NOT want an expensive room because we would only use it for sleeping. This hotel was what we were looking for! It was clean, affordable, near the major highways. This was especially nice for me because the hotel/room was wheelchair accessible! My biggest complaint is the mattress was somewhat lumpy. A diamond in the craziness of LA!

when you first look at the Safari you might not be impressed but we found it clean and comfortable. The restaurant next door was busy but good, and the front desk called to keep it open later than normal. Very close to the Burbank airport, 15 min. away from downtown LA, and Hollywood. We would stay here again.

The best deal for the price you pay, but don;t expect too much from it. Didn't have a microwave in the room. and there was a sock in the corner left by a previous guest. Also there was a huge pile of crumbs and trash under a bed. Besides that, good location to spend the night and move on with your life. Close to Hollywood and other entertainment that Los Angeles is famous for.
