I'm a sucker for nice rooms, nice lobbies, nice spas, and nice cocktail bars. And this place fits the bill on all of those accounts. It's super convenient to the slopes too. So, 4 stars. The -1 is for the snippy bell hop who greeted us. Spoke at lightening speeds...we asked him to repeat that...he rolled his eyes and said it even faster. Then he started opening our ski bags without asking - which was rude. I know he wants to keep the skis out of the room, but we had some things in the bag that we didn't want to unpack yet. It was hasty and rude. The housekeeping didn't show up either, and we got a snippy call that said, "We're calling to explain that we didn't make up your room because the privacy sign was out and housekeeping stops at 4pm." The privacy sign went out at 3:45, sweety, so, that's our bad? Ok, hon. It's an expensive hotel room, so honestly, I'd like to see you personally clean get off your duff and clean the room this instant.

Beautiful room, spotless, quiet. Staff very professional, helpful, relaxed and personable. Loved it.

This time the service was great. Even if the hotel was sold out, the employees were very nice and helpful taking the time to help.

Don´t take a car, parking is very expensive. Internet is expensive as well and not good quality. Cleanliness is not as good as we expected...

Overall it's a great hotel but a little overpriced for just a regular room. I think the name carries a lot of weight with respect to the pricing. Secondly, there is no free wi-fi or parking for such an upscale and expensive hotel. Parking prices are outrageous. I think they can afford to offer free parking and wi-fi for their guests.

This Hotel exceeded all my expectations. The staff was outstanding in every way. The whole ski experience from having your skis stored for you along with the short distance to the lifts, truly made this a memorable ski trip for myself and along with my seven friends. We have done eleven other ski trips all over the Western United States together to the top resorts and this by far set the bar way above the rest. We will return to this outstanding resort in the very near future. Thanks for your hospitality.

Great outdoor spa and pool area. Could have a bit better bar service, but great atmosphere. Had an amazing dinner at the Grill Steakhouse in the hotel.

Food and drinks expensive

Nice hotel, friendly staff, room was not clean (hair in bathtub, soap residue on sink), great location to start your daily skitrip

Excellent service from staff, well maintained hotel in the most prime position in Whistler right next to the Wizard Express gondola. Quality restaurants within hotel with great ambience, good service but pretty pricey. Mains for CAN$40 and a reasonable bottle of wind for CAN $70 + TAXES & SERVICE CHARGE. Bar/Lounge area is very nice with comfortable and tastefully decorated furnishings. Local beer prices $9 + TAXES & SERVICE CHARGE.

It's the Fairmont...and consistent with all Fairmont Hotels, lobby is nice, restaurants are nice, bars are nice, rooms are small and generally antiquated. This is not the W hotel. If you want to be situated in the main village, near all the action, during the day and during the night, then this is not the hotel for you as it is located in the Upper Village....a 10 minute walk to the main village. I wanted to be situated in the main village and the listing did not mention that the hotel was not in the main village so that was kind of disappointing. For the price the fairmont charges, I recommend looking at the Pan Pacific, Hilton, Sundial, or Executive Inn hotels as these are all located at the base of the whistler/black comb mountain in the main village.

I enjôo só much, it was a Dream of Christmas! The hotel did a lot of activities for whole family! The only thing I think could be better is the bedroom shower.

For ski in and ski out convenience this hotel can't be beat. From the moment we arrived at the door until the end of our four day stay the staff was there for our every need. The checked our skiis at the front door, loaded our large bundle of bags and transfered them to our room. Waitstaff in the lounges, rental shops and restaurants were extremely friendly and helpful. The distance to the downtown Whistler stroll is a little far - a 10 minute walk - but hotel shuttles run every 15 minutes. As with other resort properties I've visited the onsite meals, drinks and other services are on the pricy side. Be prepared for possible sticker shock if you eat a lot of meals and have drinks on site. But, the food was always first rate. Out family of four completely enjoyed this stay and were taken with the holiday decorations (we stayed just before Christmas) of both the hotel and the Whistler villiage stroll.

All my family enjoy the indoor and outdoor pool area. Will stay again!

Very comfortable place as always. However, renovations are undergoing so access to the pool is via staircase so no change room and showers on that floor. Also, the take out restaurant Portobello was closed which left us with no options for smaller and cheaper breakfast. It is scheduled to re-open Nov 22. It is too bad that they did not post this as we would have made plans to bring small eats.

Generally fine, staff is excellent.Only niggling item is the pool was being renovated. There was a backup outdoor, heated, pool, for laps..which was actually fine. But, we would have appreciated knowing ahed of time that the main in-out pool was under renovation.

It was great! Our room was a perfect place to relax even on a rainy weekend in Whistler.

We have stayed with you before and it was good. We have also stayed at 7 other hotels and time shares and we chose to try you again . Disappointed that the room we had reserved was not available for this birthday surprise for our daughter! First our parking ticket did not work and we had to go back to lobby to correct that. Our first room had nothing but white plastic to see out the window. Our second room was much better. Clean and comfortable. Was not prepared to pay for Wifi. Our business stayed with you and I did not remember that. Pleasant staff outside.

We were so disappointment with there pool and hot tub . they had renovation in this area , there was not notice on their web side .

This hotel is the perfect place for a romantic getaway! Mountain scenery and cozy rooms. We had a fireplace in ours and were staying in the Gold area of the hotel which came with one of the best breakfast buffets I've ever had.

As expected

Fine hotel just unfortunate about the drunks in the outside bar until 4 in the morning but a very nice hotel

We found the hotel to be ideally situated at the base of Blackcomb mountain in a quiet setting with only short walk to Whistler mountain. At the time of visit (beginning of Sept) there was a good childrens fairground operating at Blackcomb. Amenities at the hotel were very good, particularly the pool and gym with excellent shower facilities. Although the Wildflower restaurant is expensive it does offer excellent food but the hotel does have the Portobello cafe which again offers excellent food at more realistic prices for those like me who need to stretch the budget as far as possible. Only problem is the airconditioning is on full blast making it very cold in the corridor when it really doesn't have to be that cold...seems to be a waste of energy. Rooms come with controllable A/C so no problem there.

very comfortable friendly hotel. Love the pool and lounge

The staff at this hotel are extremely courteous. The amenities are fantastic, and it is just a beautiful walk away from the village. It was my second stay here and I will definitely be back.

Excellent hotel and accommodation. Brunch was superb but very pricey. Hotel was full with many families making the pool inaccessible even the lap pool due to kids cannonballing etc. Suggest some adult only hours to allow adult guests to access this facility.

We were charged extra for valet parking which is fine if you are doing valet parking, but we had a uhaul trailer with us and they left our vehichle up front where we had parked it originally and it was never moved for the one night.

Beautiful, grand hotel located in the quieter Whistler Village. Nice indoor/outdoor pool for the children. Drinks and food were more expensive though one is paying for the ambience. Beautiful views of the Blackcomb and Whistler mountains.

It was an excellent location for our stay in Whistler - everything we wanted was within walking distance. The hotel was lovely in Fairmont fashion. The front desk was ver helpful.
