Walking into this hotel is like walking into a royal palace. The architecture, walls, floors, furnishings are all gorgeous. Unfortunately, you get the sense the hotel staff leverages this aspect of the hotel at the cost of proper service. Upon checking in (after a long, 4 hour drive) we found ourselves waiting (over 10 minutes) at a relatively long line to check in. After getting into our rooms and unpacking we wanted to get a cup of coffee. Although we knew coffee at a 5 star hotel would be pricey, we figured what the heck. Unfortunately, although there are at least three venues in the hotel for food and drinks, none of them seemed to have enough staff to accommodate serving a simple cup of coffee. We went to each one, found seats and waited. First waiting at the main restaurant in the lobby, then after 15 minutes of not getting service headed to another area in the lobby... after getting no service there we headed to the bar only to have the same thing happen there too. It's not that there were too many people, but that there were very few servers. We ended up heading outside to Starbucks and got our coffees within minutes. We were surprised such a high end hotel couldn't deliver on a basic cup of coffee. Breakfast was also surprisingly poor. The food was mediocre- including cheap deli meats, dry pancakes & cold scrambled eggs. Other than the poor food & beverage areas- the hotel is astoundingly beautiful, with very large rooms, beautiful bathrooms, tremendously high ceilings and a sense of living in a palace. It's a pricey hotel, but worth staying in at least once if you're willing to sacrifice on food and service.

Conveniently located you can walk to everything you would like to see in sevilla. Rooms are nice bathrooms clean and bright and you get free wifi.

Opulent and luxurious doesn't begin to describe this palace of a hotel. They do not get better than this.

The Hotel Alfonso XII is a spectacularly beautiful hotel situated in the heart of Old Town Seville. It's literally a five to ten minute walk from most of the main tourist sights and from some wonderful restaurants. It is also across the street from the governor's palace which great if you'd like to take a quick walk over to look at it but can at times be a drag if there is a noisy demonstration taking place (which was happening when I checked in). Of course you can switch rooms to another part of the hotel and be in complete silence. The beds are very comfortable! The staff was friendly and helpful. Every element of our stay was fabulous!!!

...but had only ever marvelled at the wonderful tiled reception. Wonderful to be a fully fledged guest. Pool very welcome after sightseeing but pool hours rather short, finishing at 7pm. Room was a little shabby chic but very comfortable all the same.

Hotel Alfonso XIII in Seville was wonderful. The staff were delightful and very helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful - the public areas as well as the individual guest rooms. It is situated very close to the Seville Cathedral - one of the most beautiful European Cathedrals I've seen, and many shops and cafe's are within easy walking distance. The pool is also quite nice and very popular in the summer afternoons. Its is a lovely place to swim, sit and read, or take a nap to prepare for the cooler, very pleasant, and late evenings. I found this hotel to be well worth the price and greatly appreciated not being nickel and dime'd at every turn like some higher priced resorts I have visited. There are no extra charges or surprises. I would not hesitate to visit Alfonso XIII again. One recommendation I do have however is for the hotel to offer free WiFi to all guests throughout the hotel. An establishment of this stature really should be providing this service to their guests.

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location for the sights.

I was horribly dissastisfied with our room at the Hotel Alonso. We anticipated five star luxury and the room was at most three star average. The linens and sheets were not plush westin standard. The decor was nice...and that is being polite... nothing like the pictures thats for sure. After getting over our initial disappointment of the room, we decided to try the hotel patio for lunch...where we treated like tourists and practically ignored... After 30 minutes of waiting for the waiter to come take our order, and after several of the tables around us already ordered, served food, and finished eating, we had enough and walked to a neighboring establishment. I would only recommend that if you are interested in seeing the architecture and design of the hotel, you just go in and take pictures...do not waste your money on the five star price....

loved this hotel,old fashioned elegance.Great service great location,expensive but then on this occassion you get what you pay for.spent three nights here,would loved to have stayed longer,the court yard is a very special place to eat ,drink or just sit and admire.Hope to return and soon!

not enough sunbeds at pool for all clients. Just a shrug when brought to attention of staff. when sun parasol was requested the pool attendant complained that it was heavy and asked us to sit elsewhere!

The Hotel is a wonderous oasis in the centre of Seville. Lovely pool for those hot days, nice big room, great service and lovely food. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

"Wow!" What a wonderful experience! From the moment we drove up, we knew it would be special. The tile, architecture, and moorish decor was astoundingly beautiful. The staff was very helpful and we checked in easily to our opulent room. I don't know if all the rooms look like ours did, but it was gorgeous!! The pool is an oasis if you are visiting in the summer time. We spent each day by the pool and explored the beautiful city after 8:00 each night. The handsome cabs are right outside and a wonderful way to see the opulent buildings surrounding the Alfonso. The concierge was wonderful and based upon what we told him we wanted to do, he led us to a perfect dinner and flamenco experience. Bottom line: stay here if at all possible.

Todo es perfecto. La ubicacion es estupenda, cerca de todo, se hace casi todo camiñando.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié cet hôtel, au look d'un autre âge, qui propose des chambres confortables et luxueuses. Outre sa situation absolument idéale pour visiter Séville, nous avons passé deux nuits reposantes grâce à une literie exceptionnelle ! C'est un plus pour des gens qui, comme nous, voyagent beaucoup et subissent les méfaits des matelas d'hôtels généralement inconfortables (même dans des hôtels de catégorie similaire).

Hotel somptueux Emplacement idéal le seul bémol: on était sur le côté et trop de bruit avec les poubelles de l'hôtel qui était en contre bas !!! et les camions passaient à 1h du matin et 7h mise à part celà c'est un hôtel que je conseille car trés bien placé et déciration féerique

Bel Hotel, bien situé, avec piscine extérieure très agréable ce qui est vraiment un plus à Séville, mais les chambres sont vieilles , pas rénovées, dommage.Petit déjeuner très agréable dans le patio.
