i particulcarly enjoyed the gardens and surrounds of this hotel...even the enclosed suburb was perfectly landscaped right up to their doorstep...only downside was the isolation of nusa dua...a half hour taxi ride ( $6-$8 ) to kuta or the airport....however if lounging by the pool and paying top dollar ( by bali standards anyway ) for food and drinks is your sort of holiday then this romantic destination is for you....I prefer to be able to walk out of a hotel and see the culture and the sights....otherwise a pretty and romantic resort.

Great staff and hotel surroundings. It would be hard to beat this hotel for value. Beautiful gardens and beach and all the staff make you so welcome. Many restaurants close by to choose from and the hotel breakfast is more than adequate. In all, well worth the visit if you are looking for a five star hotel with exceptional value

We spent 10 days at the Laguna and generally had a very enjoyable time. I visited Bali 12 yrs previously and have dreamt of returning to the country in all that time. It was my favourite location I have ever visited. Unfortunately, I now feel the Island has lost some of that magic- The Island has capitalised on its tourist trade and the sparkle has gone, for me anyway. The craft villages no longer encourage the tourists to walk round and barter with the locals. Tourist centres have been set up- which every taxi driver delivers you to, inside secured gates. Then you pay well over the odds for goods in each of these air conditioned centralised stores. All shops don't have prices on their goods, so they can charge the tourists an elevated price. In some cases, despite the expected bartering- you tire of the effort!! Even visiting Jimbaran for a romantic sunset dinner on the beach, we were driven into a restaurant by the taxi driver- Yes into the restaurant itself-where you are then led from the vehicle to a table so we didnt get the chance to walk up and down to decide ourselves which restaurant we were going to eat. Our driver delivered us to the restaurant that he recieved commision for- and then when we paid up after our drink (I wasnt having this!!), and subsequently ate at a different restaurant- on returning to our taxi driver, as agreed- we were told by the grissly restaurant staff that 'he has gone home because you didnt eat at this restaurant'. Thankfully the Laguna hotel was very comfortable and we ended up staying 'put' far more than I envisaged during the days and enjoying the facilities and our room. The staff were delightful and the hotel was v good overall. However here are the negatives of the hotel: 1/ Prices of food and drink unnecessarily high at the hotel, particularly as the food was not that spectacular- a little samey after a while. Cocktails at £8.50 were way more than necessary, Same for the buffet- £28.00 - too much. Note to The Laguna-

Best place to stay in Bali apart from private villas

Super pretty hotel gardens/lagoons and very friendly staff - a real 5 star hotel! The private beach is clean and quiet. The breakfast is impressive I have to say! Close to the shopping complex, Bali Collection, which offers a wide range of restaurants, spas and shops. In short, a great hotel to stay for a relaxing family or romantic occasion!

I stayed a few nights at the Laguna Hotel Nusa Dua with my wife and wished that we had booked our stay a bit longer. The room we stayed in was starting to show it's age, however the staff were very friendly and helpful, the grounds and beach were kept spotless. This became a lot more apparent when you could see the condition of some other beaches in Bali. The meals available were of a high standard but expect to pay resort prices with a 22% tax added to the final price. Overall very enjoyable.

The location of the hotel is still nice and has a very nice beach, overall is still fine. However, we asked the conceige desk for information of local seafood restaurant, and they called a cab and took us to the unreasonable expensive restaurant for commission. The next day, we also checked the spa place with prices shown online and they said they would help us make the reservation. They called the spa in front of us, and cheated that the spa changed the price and we have to pay 20% more from the price that we saw online. What a cheating!! We finally booked through another local travel agent with even lower price than online!! Besides, we stayed in Deluxe Studio which offers a living place with a pretty nice fruit plate on the table. But there are so many ant on the plate as well, even on sofa!!! I was hoping that after the housekeeping next day, it would improved, but NOT!! More ant than I saw on the first day! I can't believe this is a 5 star Hotel!!

The first impression of The Laguna was quite impressive. Nice surrounding with nice landscaping and spacious. However, the room was not so fantastic as compared to another hotel that I had stayed at Jimbaran area. Whenever we entered the room, there is a strong insecticide smell. The carpet in the room and the bed runner looks dirty and dusty. There is no kettle in the room to make your own coffee and tea, but you can request for it. As such, we have to call whenever we wanted coffee or tea. Quite troublesome in my view. However, other factors make up these flaws. The fantastic breakfast spread was really nice. The variety of the spread changes for some type of food, hence, you will not get tired of the variety even if you have it for a few days. The staff at the Cafe Lagoon was fantastic. The proximity of the nice and clean beach to the hotel is another plus. There are also many squirrels around the hotel site.

The room we stayed in was certainly not that of a 5- star hotel and worst still for the price paid we expected alot better. It was less than spacious and worn out especially the bathroom. It needs an urgent update. We have stayed in many 5-star establishments and are able to make a knowledgeable comparison. When we had a late lunch at the restaurant by the beach we had to wait more than 45 minutes for our meal to arrive and the restaurant was nearly empty. There were many staff around but for some reason the food could not get prepared in decent time. However , the breakfast buffet was more than adequate. The hotel compound is vast and beautiful. The staff is generally courteous and friendly.

It is our honeymoon and first time travelling to Bali. We did not expect much about the Laguna hotel, as the rate we got from Hotels.com is quite cheap considering it is 5 star hotel. When we first arrived, we were immediately amazed at the room (we got the lagoon access room) decoration and the ambience. We got fresh flowers arranged in heart shape on the bed and in the bathtub. Really romantic. The breakfast is good, though there were too many flies even if we choose to dine indoor. But this seems to be a common problem for Bali, later when we changed to another hotel, we got the same issue with the flies. Nevertheless, the food is great and we never had any stomach problems. The fun part is the squirrels in the trees near breakfast place and on the beach. We were happily feeding them with fresh bread we got from the breakfast. The hotel staff was very friendly and taught us how to feed the squirrels. The beach is very clean and nice, much better than other beaches we went to in Bali. So I would recommend anybody staying in this hotel to cancel all other beach activities elsewhere, but just relax on the sandy beach and swim in the sea. The Laguna hotel has shuttle bus to Bali Collection, a high-class dining and shopping complex. We chose to walk to Bali Collection most of the time, because it is only 10 min walking distance and the weather is just nice for walking (we arrived in christmas period, raining season for Bali). The food there is not bad and not too pricy, but please do remember to bring your mosquito repellent. We like trying local food wherever we travel, so we heard about the babi guling - local suckling pig, and wanted to try. Fortunately, there is one babi guling place on the way back to Nusa Dua, where the hotel is located. Therefore every day when we came back from our tours, be it water rafting or shopping at seminyak, we would pack the babi guling and eat at our hotel room. The pork is so tender, juicy, and the crispy pig skin is fantastic

The hotel was a calm place to go after a hectic day of sighseeing. Everyone was so helpful and kind. The lagoons were great to swim in. The food at the hotel was excellent.

Nusa Dua, in general, is far from any "Balinese" experience. It's separated by security gates and all the hotels are within this parameter. There are water sports but activities are definitely cheaper outside the resort. For business stays, it's definitely the spot. You would have to leave the resort to go to Seminyak, Ubud, or any other location where you can really experience what Bali is like. Nusa Dua can feel like any other tropical location if you just closed your eyes. The hotel is good for families with children. They have many lagoons and children's pools. It may also be good as a short stay before or after other cities on the island. The room was very clean and the staff was nice for the most part. The breakfast buffet isn't anything to rage about and it's expensive compared to other hotels on the island.

We stayed for 4 days in early May and was contemplating between Laguna and the neighbouring Melia. We are very glad to have chosen Laguna. It was exactly as promised - room was spacious and clean, bed was super comfortable, the lagoon and main pools clean and inviting, friendly staff, and lazing on the beach was a great way to relax! We highly recommend Laguna for visitors who want to have direct access to the beach and don't want to jostle with the crowds.

海辺のカフェテラスは、朝日が綺麗で木の上から可愛いリスも朝食に降りてきて楽しく食事が出来ます。

Stort hotellkomplex med fantastiska pooler. På grund av läget blir det inte mycket Balikänsla. Priset för hotellrum är ok men priser för mat och dryck är skrämmande höga.

Fantastisch mooi en smaakvol aangelegd en ingericht hotel. Een mix tussen modern en Balinese feel. Voornamelijk gericht op ontspanning. Minder geschikt voor gezinnen met jonge kinderen, er wordtvoor zover ik weet niets voor kinderen georganiseerd. Zwembaden zijn heel mooi aangelegd inclusief strandje. Maar ook het strand aan zee is heel mooi en voorzien van mooi wit en fijn zand. Personeel uiterst vriendelijk, maar wel veel meer sophisticated dan op de rest van Bali. Als je dat zoekt prima, maar als je meer van oorspronkelijkheid houdt, dan moet je niet in dit hotel zijn.

Великолепный отель, очень высокий уровень обслуживания, великолепные номера, особенно с выходом в лагуну - выход в бассейн, можно купаться даже ночью, великолепные рестораны, днем бесплатны десерты, пляж супер!, очень зеленая територия, на ресепшене есть рускоговорящий персонал, хороший спа! Считаю что это один из лучших отелей на бали! Были в апреле, каждый день был небольшой дождь, но это только плюс - дождь кратковременный, облачно - нет жары. Никогда не езжу в одно место дважды, но в этот отель поехал бы еще раз!

Muito bem arranjado, a precisar de algumas recuperações, mas com pessoal muito dedicado. A alimentação é bastante diversa e agradável, sem ser cara. O local é um paraiso e permite vários ambientes.

前日までウブド滞在。ラグナにはわずか一泊のみの滞在でした。宿に着くなり日本人スタッフが出迎えてくれました。ちゃんと日本人の私がチェックインする時間にフロントに待機して下さっていたようです。スムーズなチェックインに安心。「わずか一泊は残念ですね、ではせっかくなのでお部屋のアップグレードを」と。たまたまグレードの高い部屋も空いていたらしく、もともとラグーンアクセスの予約でしたが、さらに広い部屋へ。 翌日、朝から海沿いのバゴンを予約に行ったところ、「今日チェックアウトなら、午後４時のその時間まで半日料金でお使いください」と。本来なら２５ドルのところ１５ドルで使わせていただきました。また友人が車いすでホテルの私を留守中に訪問してきましたが、スタッフは宿泊客でない友人の車いすを押して海まで案内してくれていました。 日本語のできる現地スタッフも多く、深夜のバー「KULKUL」でも大好きなカクテル「モヒート」を好みの味にアレンジしてくれたり、片言の英語で会話を楽しんだり・・・。 たしかに、チャージは安くはないですが、それなりの素晴らしい思い出にはなります。わたしは一人旅でしたが、もしもカップルでしたら一生の思い出になることでしょうね。スタッフは気さくな人ばかりですから、なんでも思いきって話しかけてみてはいかかでしょう？きっと楽しい経験になりますよ！

Our time in Laguna Resort was a pleasure in any single moment of the day. From breakfast to dinner in seafront we enjoyed the wonderful location the amazing kindness of the whole staff. It is a perfect escape from everyday stress even if, and this is not remarkable anyway to the hotel, you're obviously not included into the real bali's life but perfectly cooconed in a charming and relaxing place. The only remark, if possible, is the restaurant standing that for my personal opinion does not match the chef ranking of top 3 in Bali. My personal opinion is that they should rise up the restaurant level to at least, 1 michelin star, to make it fitting to guest expectation for a luxury place. Consider that a new outstanding restaurant in Bali with a local chef has already scaled up the bali top rest list positioning at rank 1 as we can confim after checking it out.

Ett vackert hotell med en underbart läge vid stranden. Härlig atmosfär, god mat och väldigt trevlig personal. Kunde inte valt ett bättre hotell som matchar denna vackra dröm ö!
