The only drawback to our stay was the guy who stopped to talk to my wife while smoking a crack pipe in the middle of the night. Given the appearance of the neighborhood the hotel is in, I would have thought they'd have given a little more attention to security. Other than that, it was great for the price we paid. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and just minutes from Six flags.

For the price, I guess it wasn't bad. But I could have paid just a tad bit extra and stayed at a much nicer place.

The hotel was only a few minutes away from the fairgrounds where I needed to be for a dog show. It was also close to the big amusement parks. I had dogs with me and the only problem was finding a place to walk the animals, but I will be staying here again!

This hotel is in real need of a remodel. Everything in the room is dated circa 1970.

We were here for a week and had a very nice room. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful. There is also a diner within the hotel complex that serves a good breakfast at a reasonable price. We enjoyed our stay.

The outside and pictures look Ok, I knew it was only a 2 star, but didnt think it would have ben that dirty! Staff was very nice, but that didnt make up for how bad the room was. Do not go here if you have small children. You won't want them tuching anything in the room.

Very good staff, clean room

i stayed here for 5 nights, the front desk was very helpful as was the housekeeping staff. the pool was very nice, the only problem it is in a fun down neighbor hood. the other Huge problem i encountered was after checking out i broke out with hives and had to go to the doctor, i was diagnosed with an alergic reaction to bedbug or mites bites, or Scabies. so $100. later after office visit and medication and lotion to rid myself of this critters. Disgusting.

We had a room on the top floor and listened to a noise in the wall all night long. It was a sound that a made a popping noise in the wall. It sounded like it may have been an electrical problem. We had a broken outlet in our room on the same wall. My children were able to sleep but all I was up at 2:00AM. I would have gone to ask to be placed in another room if the kids were not sleeping. I told the front desk clerk and she said that she would have it looked at. I would never stay at this hotel again!! It would have been nice to get an apology, the clerk seemed not at all interested in my concern.

Booked 2 rooms, 4 people in each room and both only had 2 towels. The sink in one of the rooms was plugged.

This poor little Howard Johnson must be the most neglected hotel in the chain! The carpet was avocado green looped berber that looked like it was from the 70's, the tv was an old tube tv (not a flatscreen) and the tv aromiore was chipped in th corners, looking like it got the vacuum ran into it many, many times. The mattress was old and hard with rips in the places where I inspected it (no signs of bugs, though). The place was surprisingly clean, for having shuch an outwardly shabby apperance. Not too bad for an overnight stay...a place to sleep and that's it. If I was headed to the area for more than one night, I would seek other accomodations. Plan to get there early for the breakfast. We were there around 6:30 AM and it looked like they were close to running out already. Limited fruit and cereal were really the only healthy options.

1:15pm...I suppose that the crabgrass invading the landscaping should have been sufficient warning. But we decided to check-in anyway. The receptionist reminded us that there was a grocery store down the block, with a liquor store next door. She asked for my credit card "for incidentals. "The poorly laid tile in the foyer, the dirty white leather sofa in the lobby...should have been further proof that we needed to run away, but alas... we checked-in and were directed to our room. Overall, it was clean. The wall paper was fading/peeling; the decor, horribly outdated. I thought all hotels these days had flat-screen TVs! There was a loud, incessant humming of unknown origin. We layed down to nap only to be awakened by housekeeping who handed me the room telephone; was there a call? Was it for me? Did you try my cell? I went back to sleep for 15 additional minutes. When we woke up, we dressed and decided to take our things with us as we left for dinner in Napa...just in case...just in case we might come to our senses and not return to this long forgotten "jewel" in the HoJo crown. We decided to make the 2 hour drive home after dinner. I called the hotel the next morning to "check out." "Was everything okay?" asked the receptionist. I bit my tongue hard...it was fine, I lied, I mean replied. I can't honestly say that I would recommend this particular HoJo's for anything other than perhaps a rent-by-the-hour type of thing. But as they say, everything ain't for everybody. Ciao!

Great hotel for the price, close to attractions. Should have a higher rating than 2 stars.

We had a nice stay but when we went to get our free breakfast there was no food left but Cheerios no milk every thing was gone that was at 8:30 in the morning! We counted on that we had a long trip and limited amount of money so we were a little MAD about that but the rest of the stay was nice

I was disappointed with the continental breakfast. There was not enough food for the amount of people staying, or enough places to sit. Food and drinks were not replenished. The complimentary soaps in the room, looked like they had been previously used or had been in sitting in storage for a while. They were sticky and dried up.

It was great for just a one night stay like I did. The bed was very comfortable. But we ran into a few problems. They gave us the handicapped suites which faced the street and it was very loud, there was a hole in our bathroom floor near the toilet, we didn't have towels in the room (which we found that out after we showered), the hotel was pretty much in the ghetto which made for very unfriendly people. Because we were in the handicapped sweet we had the opened shower but the part that was made to keep the water in did not do its job and we nearly flooded the floor, also the water was very hot no matter how low we put it in the cold section. Last but not least, we heard everything that was going around us. The walls were pretty thin.

We survived one night but I wouldn't stay there again nor would I recommend it to anyone I know.

For convenience sake, this was an OK hotel. The Internet connection was slow, there were some stains on the ceiling in the the bathroom and the door was damaged. However the service was great at the desk and they were very friendly. The bathroom was an impressive size and well decorated. There was a shuttle service to Six Flags Marine World which is the primary reason why we picked this hotel and why anyone should.

The beds were not Queen size they were full sized beds, then when we asked for a roll out bed they wanted to charge us 10 more dollars a days. The rooms are very small and nothing like the pictures they portray on there website.

Very disapointed, cancelled my second night at my expense, would not recomend! The couple at the front desk were unfriendly and unaccomidating( no manager on the premises), our room smelled like cigarretes( we booked a non smoking room), the "heated pool" was frezzing and full of garbage( tree debri, cigarrete butts, ect..), it did not looked like it was drained and cleaned, like they said a week before prior to us booking, I would comment comment futher but, we checked out first thing in the morning.. Howard Johnson/ HOTELS.COM, my familly and I we'll be staying else where for our future weekend getaways!

Ok so the Pictures that are on- line are not what the hotel looks like. They make it look like it is freshly upated when in fact it is not. The room wasn't that clean, wall paper pealing of, holes in the curtains and when I asked if I could get extra towels what an ordeal to get extra towels. the neiborhood was very poor. the pool area was the nicest but you couldnt use the pool the weekend I was there. The location was great if you wanted easy access to the freeway and it was close to the Discovery Kingdom park.

the hotel,was great,. My family and I enjoyed our stay.We were there for 2 nights and 3 days.The staff was polite and well mannered,the service was above reproach. The continetal breakfast, could have been a little better, but at least it was filling,and hot. The only thing we lacked in ou r ooms was the plates that go inside the micowave.All in all we were well pleased with our stay,and will be booking the same hotel for another weekend in the month of june,and again using 2 rooms.

The hotel was actually a bit more than I expected. So I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very nice. I went on my trip a day early so they gave me a discount for my first night. Its right off the freeway also, so incredibly convenient to go on I80 easy or west.

The room was clean and well maintained for a hotel of this price range - a few items not vacuumed from under the beds, but otherwise seemed clean. The staff at the front desk was courteous, and we were happy with our stay. Some unfortunate positioning of the power outlet and the microwave - you'd have to plug it in across the sink - but that's minor. Overall, very happy with our stay and will likely stay there again. Near amenities, but in a quieter off-the-beaten-path area, with a coffee hut and fast food place right across the street.

Good hotel. Nice staff. Good breakfast. A nice lady cooked eggs for us according to what we want.

Our stay at this motel was so bad that we forfeited our second night's charge and checked in at a different motel. The room was billed as non-smoking, but I think it was a smoking room the night before our stay. It was very noisy, with a connecting door that allowed us to hear everything going on in the next room, as well as the guests in the breezeway at 1:00 am! The climate control either froze us or turned itself off, so we roasted. My advice is to stay at another motel.

small hotel, lay out is a little inconvient as many of ground floor rooms are a bit of a walk, and neighborhood is not too great, next to a groecery outlet store and right of the freeway 80...but it was convient and the staff was friendly and nice, I give them and extra star for being nice.

Pleasant room and furnishings, nothing special but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was minimal but adequate.

I'd like to use laundry room, but it was not ready to use. She made me buy the soap near store. The laudry room was not maintained and dirty. If the office become more kind and the facilities be clean, it could be perfect.

Outside appearance was nice. Room was a bit dated, bathroom very small and some bugs flying around. Some outlets didn't work..phone charger wouldn't even stay in outlet. The room also had a dank smell. The pool was very cold and had debris in it. The best part about this room was the bed. It was very comfortable, 4 pillows which were soft and fluffy. We previously stayed at a Radisson just before this hotel stay and though the accomodations were much better, the beds were uncomfortable and the two pillows were flat and hard. This room was ok for just a night before we went to Six Flags. Staff was nice..the girl that checked us in was quick and pleasant though she looked like she hadn't showered in three days. They did offer continental breakfast but we chose to get up and leave early to have breakfast on our way home.

We wanted a non-smoking room, but even though there was a sign that said no smoking in the room it totally stunk like stale smoke. And, the carpet was soaking wet! But, they did offer to give us a different room. The condition of the hotel is poor, and in need of some serious repairs. And we found a creapy icky bug in our room. The surrounding neighborhood was very scarry!!! If we hadn't already planned on staying one night, I would have found another hotel. The breakfast was ok! Waffles were very yummy, but muffins were stale! I would not at all reccomend this hotel especially for the price we were charged. I would have expected a lot more for the price we paid.

nice , warm and clean. good size bathroom , warm waters works well, clean bed sheets, crystal clear swimming pool, and ac/heater work really good. at night be careful of liquor store one block away , i went there around 10pm and ran into some hoodlums. the clerks looked very jumpy. i do recommend this hotel .

The only negative thing was the location, only one resturant Jack in the Box at walking distance

Detta hotell ligger en bra bit ifrån San Francisco. Det är nästan ett måste att ha bil om man ska bo i detta område. Vi hade bara bil en dag så vi åkte taxi till färjan och dit vi skulle vilket funkade bra. Tack vare färjan så blev det enkelt att ta sig till och från San Francisco. Annars var det ett enkelt men helt ok hotell. De hade en frukost restaurang alldeles i närheten annars så fanns det en matbutik som granne. Inom 10 min bilfärd hade man ett stort shoppingenter med flera restauranger, färjan och Six flags. Anledningen till att vi bokade detta hotell var för att det var billigt och nära till Infineon Raceway och Six flags Discovery Kingdom.
