Close to a lot of stuff to do

Could be better.

The hotel was surprisingly comfortable and very clean. The room was a little tight and the double beds were a bit too soft for my taste. Every thing else was nice. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable. My family's stay was enjoyable. I will be happy to stay there the next time I am in the area.

The staff at this hotel was very friendly! They were doing a lot of maintence, so there was a lot of wet paint, open utility closets, and tools around, but other than the ambience, didnt really affect anything. The pool was cold and the hot tub was too hot, but with three little ones, they were still happy to play in the pool, so we were happy too. The continental breakfast was minimul, no eggs or waffles which I have seen at all other continental breakfasts at other hotels, but we were able to make do with bagels and cereal and it was still better than having to go out. It was conveniently located, easy to find, and all in all we were very satisfied with our stay!

1 of the best hotels I have stayed at in a very long time very pleased. The rooms were beautiful the hotel is clean. family environment pool access. I already recommended this Hotel to my family members. The people there were very friendly and kind. the complimentary breakfast was pretty decent but could use a waffle maker and toast. Other than that I give you that 5 stars I will gladly go back again.

My only real objection is that the hallways were a little dark and gloomy. Other that that, this was a nice room at a very nice price.

We were first assigned to room # 145, the room was very neat and clean.We turned the heat on and unpacked our clothing and hung it up, after and hour and a half the room had not warmed up any. I called front desk, they asked us to give it another 1/2 hour we did with no results. I called front desk and was assigned another room down the hall # 142. I repacked our belongings and moved them, the room was nice and warm when we went in,very clean and comfortable(,we missed a clock and microwave which we had at the same price at another motel) it didnt take me long to realize the room didnt come equiped with waste cans either in bed room or bathroom, I walked down as desk clerk was alone to request a trash can. After returning to our room I wanted to wash my face befor going to our meeting, i then discovered the sink would not drain.I used the water in the bath tub.when we returned I checked it took the sink over 2 hours to drain out. Kinda hard to use. Not and expensive room but dont feel we Got the Health issues that we paid for covered HEAT~ Sewage~ Waste Can.Ohterwise not a bad place to stay. Staff Friendly and helpful.

Revovations look great. Pool was small, but perfect for our little family. The staff was very friendly

pool was small, location poor due to where I was going that was my error in address and booking with wrong ending address. Hotel personnel were nice and polite and helpful and were glad to see that my stay was good.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the bed was very firm and comfortable with premium bedding. The furniture and decor were much better than expected for what I paid for the room. I've paid more for rooms that weren't anywhere near as nice as this. There is a heated indoor pool and spa available and the continental breakfast was better than most. In short, I paid a bargain price for a premium room. I was very pleasantly surprised.

Perfect for a quick overnight. Breakfast was ready at 5:30am which was nice since we were heading for Lk MI. Boat ramp is close by.

water pressure not regulated, in shower, water would switch from warm to cold to hot to warm. room needed a good vaccuuming, was spotty. The neighborhood is not really the hotels fault, but seemed a depressed older area. Staff was nice. Breakfast was better than we thought it would be. Had cereal, breads, donuts and juices. Understand that hotel is finishing a remodel.

Location is very good. Rooms are very clean but hotel needs new carpeting throughout

Our stay was very nice. The room was very clean. We understand that they were doing some renovating, but for the most part it was ok. We think the hotel could of used some more vending machines and the ice maker didn't have ice when we needed. But overall it was nice.

The spa had to much chlorine in it. The room was very good. The hotel was under a remodel so it was not in the best eyesight. but i understand that they are remodeling for the future and that is good.

We had a very disappointing stay. I highly suggest finding a different place to stay. Unfortunately this was the only place we could find. If I had to do it over I would have slept in the car.

Didnt realize the hotel was under complete construction, in a very unsavoury area of town.3 miles from any nightlife. King bed was like plywood and bathtub didnt drain well. A no-go in the future...wasnt even a good deal.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Room was brand new... you could still smell the fresh paint on the wall. The rest of the hotel was under construction but noise was not an issue and the staff was friendly.

Room stinked of smoke. Bad neighborhood, security knocking on doors around us. No carpet in hallway,undergoing renovation. Doors wouldn't shut properly and desk drawers would slide open because floor was not level. Would not recommend to anyone. Floor was dirty my mother wouldn't even sleep in bed she slept in a very hard chair.

The room was clean, breakfast was very good with a lot of variety, staff was friendly. Bathroom was very spacious.

you get what you pay for. It was a low price hotel And I didnt need much. Lots of rude, loud people that kept us up for awhile. no power plugs that you could easily get to. had to crawl under the desk to get to the power outlet. Ended up forgetting my cell phone charger. Not to happy

Ok so it looks like a motel that they just slapped the name Red Roof on. They are still rennovating, pool only has a capacity of 30, all the channels did not work and call me crazy but our rooms felt as if they were leaning, and its across the street from a trailor park which theyre are many n the area which is fine jus fyi. Now our stay was fine we went to mi adventure which is 20 mins away. But if i had to do it again i would because we have fun wherever we go and botttom line we had a clean safe room. Im sure it will be nice when they finally finish fixing up.

The stay was fair, nothing spectacular. I saw a rat outside the hotel the first morning there, which was disturbing. Other guests also spoke of having black mold in their rooms. The air conditioner took forever to cool our room off - you would think in 100 degree weather a sold out hotel would keep the air on for their guests comfort. Also, totally over priced and the breakfast in the morning was cheap food and they kept running out of everything. I would not recommend staying there to any of my family or friends.

Hotel construction continues in public areas. Not at night.. so all was good

We paid the same rate other red roofs are charging post renovation for a room that was not as described or pictured.

It was ok but they were working 24/7 on the remodeling and doing a lot of pounding and banging all night. they keep waking the dogs and they would bark of course

My boyfirend and I stayed here for the weekend and it was great. We couldn't afford much but we got more than what we had expected. The room was clean, the help was friendly, the bed was comfy, and all around it was a great stay. The hotel was under some construction but you couldnt hear a thing. I was surprised that it was empty for as nice of a place as it is. The outside og the hotel and the parking lot could use some renovating, but it's nothing too terrible. I will most certainly stay there again.

The hotel was nice. Under a little contruction though. I had a jacuzzi suite that was nice and quiet!

The only thing good about this hotel is that I got a late chekcout after complaining about a few things wrong with the room

Though the accommodations were okay, the location was not that great. I felt more comfortable parking my rental car by the office than the convenience of my room.

I enjoyed my stay in the RRI, however, the people that I was with had a challenging time. We made online reservations, but when we got there, they had to switch rooms 4 times because the other rooms were not clean. And in doing so, they had to settle for a double bed instead of a King. Disappointing, seeming that it was there first time spending the night in my home city.

The Red Roof Inn was what appeared to be in the early stages of remodeling. Our Room was update and in good repair. The carpeting in the hallways need to be replaced. Minor things like trash in the parking lot made the place seem kind of dumpy.

The outside is not very inviting and the hallways were unclean. The room was clean. Our TV kept blanking out. (mayhave been because of rain) Breakfast was so so. Our beds were never made. After the fist night

Don't get caught in this hotel when it rains. because your room will leak as well. And don't ask for extra towels or have your room cleaned they don't do this type of service. I would not recommed this hotel to by worst enemy.

We arrived to find a room that was gross. The carpet was stained and everything was old. The phones didn't work. A boiler broke so there was no hot water (which they failed to mention when we checked in- they didn't mention the phones didn't work either). The ice machine that they claimed worked produced about 6 cubes an hour and when the front desk said someone went out to get ice (I need some as a nursing mother who needed to store milk) it took him 45 minutes to go to the gas station. The hair dryer didn't work either. The front desk staff was not very helpful and not professional.

We reserved a King bed...was told there were no clean rooms when we checked in at 7pm...we would have to wait for a King...took 2 doubles...beds were NOT doubles..we were told we could move in hour or so...ice machine NEVER worked the whole time we were there..scary neighborhood so I wasnt going to go BUY ice...ads say coffee makers in rooms..NOT..first room was filthy..second room they gave us was occupied already and we asked to just leave, they refused to to payment being ONLINE thru hotels.com. Called their corporate number..no one would do anything for us! Place was filthy outside with empty beer bottles and cigarettes everywhere!

My room smelled musty and the internet didn't work, which was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel. While they allow dogs, there is hardly anywhere to walk your dog.

The staff at the front desk were very nice and gave us an upgrade since they only had full beds, no queens. The king bed was part of a suite. The property was being remodeld, I think. It was very shabby, the carpet very old and matted. The molding in the halls and rooms was missing. Its age was showing.

Grossly stained carpets, cracked window, no shower curtain. If I'd known my way around and it hadn't been midnight and I only needed to sleep and get up and go I would've given up the prepaid reservation.
