PLAZA ON THE RIVER - رينو

Will be back

Room was large and comfortable. I liked being by the river very much, and the fact this is a non gaming hotel was a definite plus.

It seems as if someone bought a "modern" 1970's hotel and decided to redecorate it in a Bavarian rustic motif without getting rid of the prior veneer of glitz. I'm the kind of person who finds amusing decor collisions to be more on the amusing side of things, so that's a plus for me, but not for some others. I tend to stay at a lot of five stars, and I am surprised at how many thoughtful amenities are available at three stars these days - free wifi, a microwave oven, a refrigerator you can stock yourself. Why is it that "upscale" has to mean "pay for things you get elsewhere for free"? If you want to stay in a casino resort hotel, then stay in a casino resort hotel. The Plaza is located a block away from the thickest part of the Reno strip, so the only thing you'll miss is the noise. It is directly adjacent to the riverwalk and a wonderful coffee shop frequented by what would in my youth have been called "hippies", and which is still my type of crowd. I'd stay there again if I found myself in Reno.

I've stayed here several times and love the location next to the Truckee river and in the heart of downtown Reno. The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff friendly. My only recommendation would be to improve the breakfast, offering more than packaged sweet rolls. I will definitely stay here again.

We always stay at this hotel when we come up to the Reno River Festival and always have a pleasant stay. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. We come up to kayak in the whitewater park across the street and a nice feature is having our vehicles always parked by the bellman on the lower level. When we are done kayaking we simply walk across the street, put our boats on top of the cars and head up to the room. I highly recommend this hotel if you visit the park. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and well kept. Very nice sauna and pool as well.

Overpriced for what you get, I've stayed at hotels for half the price and got more for my money. My wife liked the old furniture and maybe thats what we were paying for was someones collection. There wasn't any towels or drinking water in the pool/spa area and could have done without the mourning pastries. Also our room on the ninth floor had a noticeable slope to it.

Very classy place for the money. Great location and wonderful room. Beware of the elevator at night as it is a little noisy.

Really nicely located. Everything can be done by walking. Scenery on river very nice. Very nice private indoor pool.

We loved it, We will be back, no problem parking, no noise from neighboring rooms and very clean. I also loved how close to everything we were, but it wasn't in the busiest area, only two blocks to the major casinos and 1 block from the river walk. It was just perfect!
