Holiday Inn Rotorua - روتوروا

after the initial shock of arriving in our room and finding an unpleasant smell which was the shower curtain and then finding urine all over the toilet floor, then finding a flea in the bedroom, we complained and was moved to a great room where we had a great and pleasant stay in rotorua.

We quite liked the hotel, it was nice and clean and seemed modern. The outdoor pool was 35degrees celcius which was great, I will only go swimming in pools that are nice and warm and this was excellent. The gym was small but the equipment was new and good quality. It was a drive away from the centre of town so wouldn't be that great if you didn't have a car. The dinner at the restaurant was ok.

Very comfortable room with great view of Hot Springs

This is a very pleasant hotel with friendly staff. The main reception area is a bit dated but comfortable, light and airy. Good things in this hotel are: Naturally heated swimming pool with a lovely area around it for enjoying the sun. The hotel restaurant was very good serving delicious a la carte or buffet food at a reasonable price. An hourly drop off / pick up from centre of town by hotel minibus. Very comfortable, clean accommodation. Negatives were: The distance from town if you don't have your own transport. Internet access was limited to half and hour daily in the lobby otherwise it was very expensive. I really don't know why hotels do this. Internet these days should be part of the package. It's like not having a tv in your room.

If you have not already been warned about the smell of Thermal and Mud pools in and around Rotorua then you may get a little surprise - the smell can be likened to rotten eggs! However it was good to note that this smell, whilst outside the hotel, did not penetrate into the rooms or the hotel complex itself! Rooms were clean and spacious, staff were friendly and helpful. Carparking was available, though not abundant. Information about local attractions and pricing was available from reception upon request. Restaurant was good, but booking was essential. Pricing of meals was expensive, however the servings were abundant and entrees were suitable for a main meal if you have children who don't eat a lot. Even adults who don't eat a lot would be satisfied with the entree. Hotel was situated right next to a Maori village with great photo opportunities if you were located in a room above the 2nd floor and overlooked the village. A pleasant place to stay and recommended for short or long term visiting to the area.

Worst part was that room was not available even at 4pm in the afternoon.

Of 9 hotels in 12 days, our 2 days here were the most luxurious. This Holiday Inn is nicer than the typical Hol. Inn in the U.S. Elegant lobby, spacious room for 3, nice happy hour, nice view over thermal area in back--and the aroma reminded you where you are without being overwhelming--but didn't seep into the room at all.

Under new management by HI, this is an older hotel. The room was fine, but there was the constant smell of sulfur from the nearby hot springs. The location is a bit out of the way, but they do run a free shuttle to downtown Rotorua. Internet was expensive, and with overly restrictive download caps. Just browsing websites (no large file downloads), I exceeded the the 30MB cap in about 30 mins into my 2hour session. Thereafter, you pay more to maintain speed, or suffer a big drop in speed. Unacceptable.

This hotel has great amenities and staff are courteous and helpful. Location is good for visiting the native village built on geothermal geysers. There is a fee to walk around the village but some interesting sites to see.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located a bit away from downtown, but if you have a car it's not bad. There were a lot of tour buses there when we were there, but the rooms were still quite.

This hotel is a bit like a frumpy middle age woman. Was once grand but looks old and tired. Rooms where ok. Pool was good but a bit small. Buffet was nice

Hotel was very nice and very clean. It is a little distance away from the center of town, so you need a car to get to restaurants. It is next to the Maori town that is powered by thermal energy, so the view is very interesting.

I really enjoyed my stay with your hotel. I was paticularly taken back by the service of the young man that came to our room to repair the air conditioning sensor that was attached to the windows, and bring us some clean sheets when my daughter was sick. I want him to be acknowledged for his outstanding service and manner, It made the experience. When i checked out i was served by another guy, big guy with a goatee. he was brilliant!, polite and very efficient. I walked out feeling like i was a valued customer not a number,. I dont remember their names unfortunately but i hope you cant track them down and reward them for presenting your hotel so well. I work in a retail environment and understand how important it is to appreciate and value your customers sincerley.

Great place, worth any penny!

昼２時過ぎにチェックインしたにもかかわらず、部屋はまだ掃除中。他の部屋もこれからという感じでした。 また、エアコンは故障しているし、エレベーターホールに注意書きはしてあるものの中国系団体旅行客が大騒ぎで夜は眠れなくて、散々でした。 町の中心部まで車で5分程度離れているので、ホテルのバスを利用できるということでしたが、時間になっても出発せず、３０分程待たされました。忙しくて運行が無理なら、市バスを利用するので言ってくれればいいのに、何の説明もなし。 3月はトップシーズンの12月から2月と、4月からのイースター休暇の狭間で中弛みなのか、これがニュージーランド流なのかわかりませんが、せっかくのロトルアなのに残念でした。

호텔주변의 유황냄새가 심하지만 특색있다. 큰 도로변에 위치하여 타 지역으로 이동은 쉽다. 직원들은 매우 친절하다. 객실은 청결하나, 난방시설에 문제가 있어 임시로 해결해주었다.
