We loved this hotel. Location, cleanliness, excellent quality service. Our 3 kids enjoyed too. Very friendly staff. We finally found a hotel that we really like in NYC.

I had a confirmed reservation at the Fitzpatrick Manhattan which was half a block from all of my meetings. Upon checking in, they "claimed" there was unexpected flooding to 10 of the rooms and required me to the Fitzpatrick Grand Central, 14 blocks away, a cheaper and inferior hotel. They gave me some cab fare, a free drink coupon, and said that's the best they could do. The cab fare was insufficient to cover my trips back and forth between meetings. C'mon, flooding in July? In the middle of a heat wave? 10 rooms exactly? This inconvenience added an hour-per-day commute while cabbing back and forth between my many meetings and my newly relocated "hotel office"... And finding available taxis in 95+ degree heat just added to the inconvenience. I later casually asked the doorman and bartender how the flood damage repairs were coming along and they didn't know anything about it. Nor did two associates who did manage to keep their reservations there. I suspect a rock band or some "famous" people needed some last-minute rooms and they just bumped people at random. Very dissatisfied with their "hospitality."

This was my first time in NYC and I must say the hotel was a good find. The Fitzpatrick was very nice and the staff were always attentive to help make our stay comfortable. The room we had was smaller than expected but it wasn't a factor in our overall stay. Location was great for subway and shopping. I would definitely stay here again!

2nd time staying in this hotel and would be happy to return or to recommend to others. sub way only 2 or 3 blocks away. didnt use facilities very much as was out all day but location is great for shopping, restaurants etc... hope to get back there again

This hotel was far better than expected; it was very clean, friendly staff -- PERFECT location. It was close to so many fun places. Thank you for a great way, we will be back!

The room was terrific. Much bigger than most Manhattan hotel rooms and very comfortable, like a throwback, which brings to mind the decor. It's your grandmother's house. A little stuffy. But well preserved. Not a destination, but a great bedroom.

This hotel is a great choice. Very clean; gracious front desk staff. Restaurant right in the lobby and a prime location...within walking distance to Radio City Music Hall and The Museum of Modern Art. Great shops abound...even Bloomingdales! My only complaint would be that the room was very small and the bed not as comfortable as I would have liked.

A 4 stars by right. Not much to do inside the hotel except eat, drink and sleep. Gym, swimming pool, sauna etc.. are a block away at a conditioning club and free of charge. The rooms are immaculate, clean, comfy but small. The tv (in my room) was on the side wall. I didn't have a view, I could only see the wall of another building but didn't stay much in the room anyway so it wasn't important. Check in was fast and elevators are fast. I would go back to this hotel again on my next trip to New York. The location is near everything.

I was shocked by how small the room was. My wife was not, however, and appreciated the charm and boutique-quality of everything. I think a suite would be the way to go, if you can afford the extra cost. The room was very clean and quiet, but had no view (except into the window of another room, 20 feet away). The room and bathroom were nicely furnished: soft sheets, marble bathroom counters, contemporary shower. The shower head came down from the ceiling, which sounds and looks interesting, but was suboptimal in practice. The bed was too soft for both of our tastes. Our room had two burnt out light bulbs when we arrived. I reported them to the staff, but they were not replaced by the time we left 24 hours later. The staff were otherwise very attentive and friendly. The concierge knew nothing about shows but steered us to a great sushi restaurant (Natsumi). The doorman was Johnny-on-the-spot hailing cabs for us. We walked to the hotel from Times Square once - you'll pass 30 Rockefeller Plaza and lots of stores. We also cabbed a couple of times, and did a pedi-cab the last night, which was the best.

Room was small and had no view BUT was very clean, convenient and price was right.

The location was excellent and quality of the hotel for the money was outstanding. The room was on the small side - but certainly adequate. The room was very clean and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. I recommend this property and will stay there next time I visit the Big Apple.

We loved our suite, nice and clean, great location close to places we wanted to visit. When we checked in, we were told they are out of bath towels, they only have hand towels. When we came to our suite-- no towels of any kind. We called and got 2 small towels for 3 of us. About 1:00 a.m. we asked when are we going to get bath towels--- in a couple of hours. We have never stayed in a hotel without towels. But, there is always first time for everything. Overall we enjoyed our stay. and will stay there again and bring our own towels, just in case.

The Fitzpatrick is a good place to stay for the price. Rooms (I had a suite) are a decent size, although the bedroom and bathroom are on the small side. Had to ask for a second bath towel. The lobby is very small, with few places to sit--not a place to spend much time in, if you have to wait for someone, or just want a public space outside of your room. I only had breakfast in the restaurant and don't really recommend it--the melon I had was almost impossible to cut it was so hard and the mini-croissant was stale. Staff is friendly and location is very good. You won't want to open the windows--I didn't check to see if they open--because it's too noisy on Lexington Ave. side.

We stayed overnight at the Fitzpatrick. The location is excellent, the staff was friendly and attentive. The room was a little small, but very clean and quiet. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay again.

I had never heard of the Fitzpatrick, but decided to give it a try after reading positive reviews at hotels.com. Although the hotel has a cozy small lobby area, I was very pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. I am used to finding shockingly small hotel rooms in New York, so the Fitzpatrick was a revelation. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a value stay in Manhattan.

This was my second visit to the Fitzpatrick Manhattan Hotel. I found it extremely quiet and comfortable, well decorated, convenient, immaculate, with a kind and efficient staff. I hope to stay there again and recommend it highly to others.

This was an excellent venue for a 3 day trip to NYC. It is situated right in the heart of Manhatten - literally a short stroll from Bloomingdales, Central Park, Rockerfeller etc. The Deluxe room we had was amazing - full suite with separate lounge area and the bedroom and bed and bathroom were surprisingly large for a New York venue. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Cannot recommend highly enough and we also found the price surprisingly reasonable for the excellent facilities.

For this area of NYC, I thought the rooms were a pretty good size. Staff was friendly and room was clean, minus a small water stain on the ceiling. Overall had a great experience and can't beat the location for what we paid! Thanks Hotel.com!

We only stayed at this wonderful hotel for one night. Service was excellent, the room looked better than the pictures and the location was safe and convenient. We loved that many of the guests were from Ireland as were many of the staff and quite friendly. The rooms were very quiet; no noise from other rooms or from the street at all. We will absolutely be back on our next trip to New York.

I've stayed here twice, the first time last Fall and had absolutely no complaints. Marble bathrooms, and big, comfortable beds, very relaxing and perfect for sleepting in when you're tired. Sort of like a Grand Hyatt in an older building. Location is perfect for shopping on 5th or visiting the Park. Last time I was there I had to have face clothes sent up, but that would be the only complaint. I have recommended this hotel to friends, and will continue to do so.

I expected old and stodgy; I got hip and cool. Great décor. Rooms were slick and plush. Bathroom was magnificent, and the closet doubled as a valet; complete with heated pants press! Very spacious, very quiet, very elegant.

We loved our stay at the Fitzpatrick Manhattan. We have stayed in many hotels in the city and this one is the best for location, price, and room size. We booked a suite, which was a bedroom that could be closed off from the living area. In the living area was a nice flat-screen TV and a pull out couch, as well as chairs and a desk. There was a hall closet for coats or for those who stayed in the living room. There was also a room with a small frig and coffee pot accessories. The bathroom was spacious and well lit. The housekeeping was did not vacuum one day and was inconsistent in replenishing our coffee. Room service was great for breakfast. The bar and restaurant downstairs was lovely and the staff fun. Overall, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The hotel is lovely, really nice. They made a mistake with my room. It was occupied by someone else and once i got there with my suitcases I had to come back to the front desk and ask for another one. My room was for three people and almost everything was prepared for two, so I had to ask for extra towel...etc. The location is great.

Great hotel. Really nice and large room. Great location to see everything in New York. The only complaint I would have is the bellman did not help at all with any luggage to or from room or to the vehicle out front at departure. Would definitely visit this hotel again.

From the moment we arrived it was first class service. All the staff we encountered were very helpful and pleasant...not one frown amongst them...and no cheesy grins either. The room was spotless and very well laid out with plenty of space. We had a one room suite which is great for a family with two small children. A television in each room..the children had thier movie and we had ours...Chocolates and bottled water were provided every evening. The restaurant served excellant food..the Irish Breakfast is a must and they were very child friendly too. A fantastic place to stay with real Irish...and British charm!!

If you are looking for a quite, clean,and an excellent staff, the Fitzpatrick is the place to stay. This hotel is convenient for shopping Mid-Town and an easy walk or cab ride over to the Theatre District. The staff makes you feel at home and you can even open a window in your room for some fresh air....I'm not crazy about hotel or air plane recycled air.Room Service is also superior....A great hotel for a good night's sleep.....

Access to 57th street and to subway stops in either direction made getting around fairly easy.

We have been coming back to the Fitzpatrick-Manhattan and we have never been disappointed. Excellent location, extremely welcoming and courteous staff. Well worth it!

We had a very pleasant stay. Check-in was as fast as it gets and the two-room suite was clean and spacious. The concierge was extremely helpful with a host of questions regarding locations of stores and general walking directions. The hotel is walking distance to all major mid-town sites and its location made for an easy unobstructed cab ride to visit friends on the upper east side. The room essentially had no view - brick wall on one side and building windows on the other- but it was blissfully quiet as a result.The trade-off was worth it. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. We will definitely return and recommend to friends.

The hotel was much smaller that I expected, as were the rooms. If you are a light sleeper make sure to ask for a room at the rear of the hotel as Lexington Ave. is never quite. In saying this the hotel was clean, warm and friendly with staff who are very helpful. The location is ideal for shopping with 5th ave just 2 Blocks away, Central Pk just around the corner and Bloomingdales on the same street. Also a Taxi to Time Square will only cost approx 6-8 dollars depending on time. There is also a subway station one block away. Be sure to ask for your water and chocolates for your room as after a busy day shopping it is a welcome snack.

Pleasantly surprised by the Fitzpatrick. Room was larger than anticipated, and the staff could not have been more friendly. Within minutes of our arrival we were provided with bottled waters and chocolates. My sister requested fresh linens and we received them within 5 minutes. The staff also recommended some great places to have dinner & breakfast. The room was a bit chilly, when we checked the thermostat it was set to cool, not really ideal on a cold day in December, so the room took a few hours to warm up. Besides that, would definitely recommend this hotel. Clean room, comfortable bed, couldn't ask for anything more!

Staff was very accommodating. Rooms were big and spacious. Overall great experience!

Our stay was excellent. Enjoyed the pub too. Good, friendly staff.

Having lived in NY I had a good idea of where to stay, when I had to stay at this hotel due to last minute reservations I was nervous. However, upon arriving everyone was so friendly and accomodating. The room was more spacious than many hotels I had stayed in and was very clean. Each and every staff member there was friendly and helpful. I was so pleasantly suprised with my hotel stay that I will come back each time I am in NY. One of the best hotels I've stayed in!

The Fitzpatrick was very nice. They even upgraded us to a suite, which was fantastic. The accommodations were quite pleasant, and the staff was very courteous and nice. The building is older, and thus the windows may not be as soundproof as in newer buildings. There were sirens during the night that seemed louder than expected, however my parents were staying three blocks away at a newer hotel and also heard the sirens, so it is hard to say how much worse the old windows actually made it. I would definitely stay at the Fitzpatrick again. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've experienced in a hotel, and the room was clean, and somewhat fancy. The staff was great.
