One of the employee of the hotel doesn't know how to talk with the guest. He was very rude.

We had a very quiet room even though it was on the street side. My only complaint was that the mattress was pretty hard.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a lower-priced hotel in New York. Perfectly serviceable if you don't need to be pampered; clean, comfortable, efficient. The $10 shuttle to LaGuardia is a bargain if you're traveling alone; with more than one person, a cab is a better bet. Only word of warning: while it's true the hotel is 3 blocks from the subway, that's a LONG 3 blocks; in Manhattan terms, think avenues rather than streets.

The locatyion is good and the price is reasonable for similar hotels in New York City. Just that the staff needs better sense of service. We stayed for a week but could not get a coffee/tea maker in the room despite repeated requests. The reason given by the staff was that there were not enough of those for all the rooms.

The room was musty and not fresh. The breakfast the pan cake batter was sour prepared the night before and not put into the refrigerator. Bad stay.

The inside is clean but very old, needs upgrades badly. The bed was very hard and probably 20+ years old. Hotels.com star rating is more based on size, not comfort, which I didn't know until this stay. I've stayed in 2 star hotels more comfortable than this one.

very friendly staff, room big enough,not far from subway(5blocks), but the air conditioner was terrible.

Previously mentioned services were unavailable during our stay in this hotel. No refrigator, no microwave,iron and heating condition was terrible.

Our family vacaton centered around two Mets games at Citifield. So we were looking for a hotel in close proximity to Citifield. What I found out is that as long as you are close to a subway station, you are not far from anything in New York CIty. The subway system is a short walk from the Pan American Hotel. We were easily able to go to Flushing for our two Mets games as well as the Bronx for a tour of Yankee Stadium. Getting to Manhattan was easy as well. The hotel itself was just right for our needs as we only needed a clean place to shower and sleep. We were constantly busy so didn't need amenities of a high end hotel. The AC in the room wasn't working at first but they have windows that open to let in fresh air into the room. It was noisy outside but it is on Queens Blvd afterall. The air was working by our second night and VERY well in fact. If looking for an affordable hotel in a good location, I would recommend the Pan American Hotel.

Old, AC did not work, not even continental breakfast, one staff was not very friendly. The positive for me was that they were parking behind the hotel.

The room we stayed in was the perfect size and price for two people and it was very comfortable. There is a restaraunt on the bottom floor and the staff was very kind. The subway stations were no more than a five minute walk from the hotel. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely experience . Next time will request firmer pillows. . . but overall quality exceptional.

This place was not at all as advertised. The public spaces was dirty and low rent. The "three block" walk from the subway was a good 15 min trek. The tons of promised ethnic restaurants were nowhere within walking distance of the hotel. The room, however, was clean and fairly large although the bedding was very thin and cheap. I stayed here only because the hotels in Manhattan all were obscenely expensive (all +400 that week). However, in normal instances I would never stay at this place again. Very ow end

I found the hotel to be everything a traveler could ask for. Nice, clean room with friendly customer personnel. Subway is 10 min walk, lots of choices for food. I will stay at Pam American hotel for any future visits to NY

Pan American is fine. Nothing outstanding, but the staff was pleasant; the restaurant is reasonably priced, and it's very convenient to NYC. The free parking is a definite plus. It's a no-frills kind of hotel, but that's to be expected given its pricing.

The room is clean & the location is great

It is a nice hotel to stay at for a few days literally. The price should at least offer Internet and if they had it they didn't mention it. It was fine to stay for a few days but more than the is too much.

I am glad I didn't have to stay there longer. Staff is extremely rude. Not that they yelled at me but they don't show any politeness.

When I checked in at the Hotel the clerk asked me for my driving license as a form of identification, when I gave it to him he made a photo copy of my license without asking my permission, I asked him why he done it and he rplied it was Hotel policy. Upon checking out the next day I asked fr the copy of my license to be returned to me, the clerk flat out refused my request and was very argumentive, I asked to see the manager at which time the clerk went into the back office, he returned after a short period of time and got me to sign a piece of paper to say they had returned my license to me. I was very concerned that the hotel has this policy, it is a big security issue of mine who has access to my private information and what happens to it under the circumstances I ran into at your Hotel. I would like to know if this is a commen practice for Pan American or is this an isolated event.

The hotel is located very close to the subway, which is very helpful. However, it is located in a horrendously shabby neighbourhood. It's not a great idea to go out of the hotel after dark, as we stayed there in constant fear of mugging or attack! Luckily, the room was reasonably clean and comfortable. The facilities are minimal, with basics such as tea and coffee unavailable. Avoid the restaurant as well - the shopping centre down the road is a much better meal solution!

When I walked into the Hotel, it looks that I am in 1950, nothing has changed everything is falling apart, I had aplan to stay longer but I moved to another hotel after 1 night & they charge the room rent of a 4 star hotel

TOTALLY TERRIBLE..THE BED COVER UNCLEAN ,BATH ROOM HORRIBLE..STAY 1 NIGHT SO DISAPPOINTED......

Pros: (1) Affordable rates in Queens. (2) Subway station about 7 blocks away, (3) Shuttle service to Laguardia Airport. Cons: (1) The front desk receptionist and the concierge do not smile at all. They looked very stressed out all the time. They did not make us feel welcome. (2) The cold water control in the shower in my room didn't work properly - - either the water was scalding hot or ice cold. It was impossible to adjust.

Noise all night long from a night club in the building. Don't even try to get any sleep. Must pay extra for everything, including wi fi. Could not even get a boarding pass without a $20 fee for use of the internet.

The hotel is a 2-3 star hotel that I would rate as a 5 within that category. The hotel is located just a few blocks from the subway which makes access into the heart of NYC very easy and the subway ride is only $2.50 no matter the distance you go. The rooms were clean and roomy enough with your private bathroom and free parking (!!!) which can be very hard to find in this price point in NYC. The employees were helpful and provided directions to the subway station and recommended nearby restaurants. There was an Argentinian steakhouse a block away which had amazing skirt steak and masked potatoes. The hotel was perfect for a place to sleep and shower while visiting the city.

Acceptable

This is an older hotel and could really use some upgrading. However, the staff was great and the shuttle drivers were wonderful. The hotel is convient to LaGuarda but the neighborhood is mostly automotive related business (garages, parts dealers, etc.).

It was on a good location near the interstate & 4 blocks (10 minutes) to the subway. Decent neighborhood & it was plenty of parking (that was free :-)!) The room was actually really nice for a 3 star hotel (really the whole atmosphere). The staff was really nice & helpful also. The hotel isn't perfect but nothing but good things to say. I would definitely stay there again.

Overpriced and underserviced. They turned off the heat and the room was very cold during the night.

No coffee pot in room. Asked for a roll out bed in advance, not in room. Asked about it at front desk and was informed that the person who was in charge of bringing it up, went home at 4pm. At 11:00pm another person was coming in and could we wait. Needless to say, we could not wait, due to a early wake up.

I am happy with my stay in this hotel. It's worth with what I paid for.

hotel is a little dated but as was only using it for a shower and bed was all i really needed. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. the room was on the road side and was noisy but pair of ear plugs sorted that out. wasn't to far from a subway station with easy access to manhattan bound trains. all in all i would stay there again.

The bell captains were very nice and helpful. I was on the 2nd floor and the room was very basic and I could here the dance club through the floor. I guess the rooms on higher floors are nicer. The location is good lots of stuff within walking distance. The housekeeper on the 2nd floor was amazing and treated me and my daughter like family. The Pan American is fortunate to have her. She is an amazing lady

Clean room and good room service but pretty noisy.

We especially liked the pick up from both New York airports.

There were Molds behind the curtain. Night club was so noisy. Even through I was on 3rd floor, I can hear music until 3 am. Complimentary coffee was tasted like urine. My bed was making noise every move. Room Heater was making noise all night long.
