Wonderful except for parking & finding hotel. Call hotel and get parking and directions to hotel as there are many one way streets and only ONE way to get to hotel!! Also there is an orange post that you wouldn't find unless someone told you, you push the button the post, it calls the hotel and they put down the barrier for you to drive in front of the hotel. Also the people speak English and couldn't be more helpful and accommodating! Loved our stay will go back.

Nice quality hotel right in the centre of the town, easy walking to all the main attractions. Staff efficient and effective. The room though not large was well appionted and the bathroom was excellent. There was an excellent black out shutter on the window so sleeping in is easy. Down side - twin beds pushed together, good for sleeping not romance. Tram runs right outside the window so the noise could be intrusive. TV says 60 channels - all but BBC and CNN in French & German. Parking - if arriving with GPS park in Kleber excellent rates and safe. Overall an excellent stay at a time over Easter when Strasbourg all but shut down.

Great hotel right next to Gallery Lafeyette! Staff are helpful and friendly. Bad thing is the wifi is not working in our room.

The hotel is centrally located and the rooms are super cute! went during christmas time so everything was illuminated!

The hotel is conveniently located in the center of town. Perfect for attending the Marche Noel. Our one problem was finding it - in fact it took us several hours to find it. The Hotel should be aware that the instructions on GPS systems to drive to the hotel are not correct. When we called the hotel to get further directions we were given another street - which according to our GPS system, did not exist at all. As it turns outm the hotel is located on a Pedestrian street that is not accessible by car. Another issue was that the hotel advertises parking, but in reality, they only have 8 parking spaces. The confirmation from the hotel could easily note these points and give drivers accurate directions. Overall we loved our stay there - it has a nice old world charm! Thank you!

Our first visit to Strasbourg, and the Hotel Maison Rouge was perfectly situated, in the city centre, no more than 5 minutes walk to any of the Christmas markets. The hotel and our room were extremely comfortable and the staff couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant. We will definitely stay here again if we return next year.

If you look for the perfectlocation to visit Strasbourg, choose the Maison Rouge. There is no parking, but you can park in Kleber Place (50 metres away) for 13€ per day Definitely a very good choice

It is damned difficult to find, and I would suggest having explict driving directions before going. It took us two hours of driving to locate, but once we were there, it was well worth it! Everything was within walking distance from the hotel. There were many good restaurants close by. The breakfast bar was very good; however it was a little pricy! I would definitely stay there again and would love to do so!

Beautiful luxurious hotel.Located in a pedestrian only city center.This place has 7 parking spots,which means you will be parking your car in 2 public pay lots 1 block away,and then wheeling your luggage down the road.Large clean,up to date rooms,with stocked mini fridge.King sized beds.Located in the old city center,minutes to all the sites and the many homeless people sleeping and begging everywhere.Convenient city tram runs in front of hotel.

This hotel was great! Friendly staff, clean and large room and centrally located to the sites and also the trams. Would definitely recommend it for anyone visiting Strasbourg.

The lobby and decor were really nice when you come to see the hotel. Once in your room your a little disappointed. The decor is older but still in nice shape. The location of the hotel is really nice. We were on the top floor so there wasnt the noise from the train that goes by every 20 minutes.

We stayed four nights at the Maison Rouge while on a visit to Strasbourg. It turned out to be a great hotel - easy walking distance to all the sights in the city, and close to shopping and dining options. Room size was great, with full-size bathtubs. Additionally, the hotel offers a great (although expensive) breakfast option every day.

Excellent value for money, although breakfast at 14 euros is expensive. Nice local cafes nearby.

Great little hotel!! Center of town. Call them before parking your car in one of the downtown garages, they get you a discount at one of them.

Arrived at the hotel and although requiring a double room was given two single beds. Thinking it was a mistake, I went to the front desk where the manager said no you booked a double room and we do not have any more double beds. He was extremly rude and I stood there for 5 minutes talking to him. Of which time he was extremly room, saying that we do not have a double bed and he was telling me what I had paid for. When in fact I knew I ordered a double bed. So rude, could not believe it. In addition, wifi....yeh whatever, no wifi what so ever!

Great location for sightseeing but it is difficult to locate with GPS system as the Maison R. area is closed to traffic. staff are excellent.

For the money, the best hotel I have stayed in. Directly in the centre of the city. Plenty of character makes the experience so much more pleasurable than the sterile chain hotels. Very clean, rooms very quiet. Simply couldn't ask for better. Would definitely stay there again.

Although I would recommend this hotel to others, I would do so with reservations. This is a well-maintained hotel, within easy walking distance of the Strasbourg Cathedral and many fine restaurants. A streetcar runs in front of the hotel, providing easy transport to outlining areas and the central train station. Each floor had its own small lobby and the decor throughout was quite good. Complaints: there was no dresser in the room, nor any drawers for storing clothing; as a consequence, we lived out of our suitcases during our visit. While the hotel advertises free internet service, WiFi service did not extend to our room. Although the hotel staff appeared initially incredulous when we reported this situation, they eventually agreed to move us to another room; the problem was that the only room available was somewhat smaller than the one we occupied, and had twin beds only. Although we had pre-paid for 4 nights at the hotel, we opted to leave after 3.

This hotel oozes with old world charm and has the most comfortable pillows I've slept on in fifty years. Can't fault it. It's location is also perfect for walking access to everything in the city, but as central Strasbourg is a huge pedestrian precinct you cannot drive closer than a ten minutes walk from the hotel. Driving into Strasboug is a nightmare. Get a good map of the city BEFORE going there and Save yourself two hours of driving around and around. Also phone up the hotel before hand and they will tell you the name of the nearest underground carpark to park in. There is also a discount on that car park for this hotel - around 10 euros a night instead of about 23 euros at every other carparks so well worth the call. enjoy

The hotel is situated in a pedestrian street so it is hard to access if you have a car. Staff was very helpful. Overal the hotel is very nice and well worth the price.

V pleasant stay. Standard rooms are a little small, but staff are very friendly and charming, and it is brilliantly located just next to Place Kleber, right in the middle of the shopping district and 5 minutes walk from the river and Petite France. Only thing I would say is that I was happy it wasn't even hotter, as the standard rooms do not have aircon and it was too noisy to open the windows at night due to adjacent bars. But we had a room on the side so that might have been a little unlucky. The hotel was very good value for money I thought.

The Maison Rouge Hotel is a excellent hotel with easy walking distance of all Strasbourg's tourist sites.Our room was a good, size comfortable bed large bathroom .The hotel apologise that the air conditioning was 'nt working due to a upgrade taking place . Free wifi. Booking though Hotels .Com we got a fantastic rate when we looked at the hotel rack rate it looked like we got three nights for half price

We arrived by taxi, since this would be a very long walk from the train station. We were greeted cordially. Our room was large and well appointed. The hotel could not be better situated ; it is at one corner of Place Kleber, and an easy walk to the Cathedral and the other major sights of the city. The front desk was friendly, but would not provide restaurant recommendations; the first time that I have ever had that experience in more than 40 years of travel to Europe. It was raining the morning that we checked out, and we were told that taxis were delayed. However, one of the young women behind the desk made a mad dash to the front door to hold a taxi that had just dropped off a passenger. That more than made up for no restaurant recommendations. It is the little things that matter.

We actually booked a regular double room, but we were upgraded to the deluxe double room without asking. The room was large and comfortable. The things that we did not like about this hotel: the front desk clerk spoke to us in French when we only speak English (I know this is France, but it is also a hotel), the floors were filthy (my feet were black from the dirt), the hotel was under construction (so if you want to get a nap during the day you will have to sleep through the hammering), and breakfast was not included. There were also a lot of annoying pictures of palm trees in our room which we never could figure out what that had to do with France. The things that I liked about this hotel: we weren't required to get the extremely overpriced breakfast, the hotel was not far from the train station, the rooms were large and the temperature was easily controlled by opening the windows, the hotel had an elevator, and we also had a nice hot shower (by far the best shower out of the 4 hotels that we stayed at in Europe with a constant water temperature and adequate water pressure). The construction noises stopped at night so we did get a good night's rest. Overall, this place felt very safe and comfortable. I was very pleased with the value, and I would recommend.

I have visited Strasbourg several times and this was one of the two best stays.

Hotel has great location right in the center of the action in the city. Parking is close by and hotel gives parking discount stamp. Bathroom was in bit difficult to use due to toilet location, otherwise a super hotel!

Maison Rouge is in a great location in Strasbourg, right in the center. We thought the hotel was a good value and were pleased with it. The only problem was getting to the hotel in a car. Since it is located on a pedestrian-only street in an area with mostly one-ways, it was impossible to get to. I would suggest parking somewhere and walking to first check in.

The hotel is in a wonderful location, very close to the Cathedral, the river, and the Place Kleber, and very picturesque. The hotel was very nicely appointed and comfortable. The only caution is that breakfast is offered at 14 Euros. We walked a block away to a boulangerie that has been there since the mid 1800s and had a lovely breakfast for 3 Euros.

Nice Hotel - Centrally located in the pedestrian zone - a little difficult to find - parking is difficult. clean room. Great towels. Nice staff.

We loved this hotel. I was a little nervous because the price was in the mid range brackett but it was one of the nicest hotesl we have ever stayed in. The staff was friendly and very professional. I would stay there again in a heart beat.

The staff at the reception desk were very polite. The room was comfortable. The housekeeping staff were slightly strange.They paid a lot of attention to the minibar- they kept adding bottles of water to it for no reason but didn't change the towels for the 5 nights we stayed there. The first night we were woken by a woman trying to get in to our room to Iron her clothes. I contacted reception to be told that there is an ironing board outside my room in the corridor that this guest should have used. An unusual place to put ironing facilities. This is a comfortable hotel in a good central position so is worth staying in.

Excellent location and very nicely furnished. Lobby / Lounge is very elegant as are the lobbys on each floor. Very pleasant breakfast room. Rooms are well appointed. Only issue is the hotel is right by the tramline which is no problem with the windows closed but since the hotel doesnt have Aircon, in the summer with the windows open it is very noisy. If you ask for room at rear it is quieter.

Bon acceuil, service efficace et avec une sourire. Parfait pour une nuit en centre ville. Calme, pas de probleme du tout avec le bruit de dehors. Chambre confortable. Un exemple a suivre.

Sehr positiv! Hotel ist perfekt zur Innenstadt gelegen. Einziges Manko ist das 'Chaos' beim Frühstück, man war nicht auf die Anzahl Gäste vorbereitet.Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet und sehr sauber.

L'accueil, la propreté, la disponibilité et l'emplacement stratégique en font une très bonne adresse. Seuls petits bémols, les viennoiseries du petit déjeuner semblent être en carton, et la chambre avec grand lit s'est transformé en chambre avec deux petits lits séparés, ce qui n'a pas la même valeur pour mon mètre quatre vingt douze....
