We had the opportunity to stay at Savoy for 3 nights during our recent visit to Buenos Aires. The hotel is very centrally located and within walking distance to the Nationl Congress, Independence square. The hop on hop off station is within walking distance to the hotel so are the metro stations. The rooms are very well decorated and we found the staff very helpful. If the great Albert Einstein. & Eva Peron were guests there why not us. Would like the hotel to provide tea/coffee making facilities that we Australians have got used. That aspect was lacking in all S.American hotels. Maybe Hotel.com can recommend them. Starbucks and other fast food outlets were close by too.

Friendly, helpful staff and hotel accomodating about early check-in. Rooms are smaller than expected but lobby, halls are beautifully decorated. Area is not best in what is now a dangerous city for tourists but thsi appears to be true for many area s of the city.

The rooms are good size and very clean. The resturant was good and they have an excellent buffet breakfast. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I would stay here again and recommend it to my friends.

Good comfortable bed, fabulous shower, very kind staff. We had air conditioning problems. The breakfast was acceptable but not very interesting--lots of breads. Once we knew our way around, location was ok, but not a lot of high end restaurants I. The area, at least not that we found.

I like this savoy hotel very much location is very good and hotel is always security guard front of hotel. rooms are nice and beautiful I enjoy stay here 3 days.

The Savoy Hotel was a welcome change of pace. Remodeled four years ago, it maintains an old world elegance while offering modern conveniences. We would stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay in Rio, the hotel was close to the beach, but the decor and general appearance were somewhat old and dated.The rooftop pool with great views made up for some of the shortcomings. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Our stay was wonderful. The staff and personnel especially the desk girls were absolutely wonderful. They made numerous reservations for us and helped with planning our exploration of Buenos Aires. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was lovely. Initially we were given a room on the street, which I found much too noisy, so we swapped to a room in the back. It had absolutely no view and was very dark, but it was clean and spacious and at least I was able to sleep! The breakfasts were nothing to write home about but overall the hotel was pretty good value we thought.

We enjoyed staying here, considering the reasonable price. The bed was a bit too hard, thankfully I brought my own pillow so that helped make the bed more comfortable. We asked for an upgrade and they gave us a slightly larger room which was nice. Free wifi only in the hotel lobby, but staying on the first floor enabled us to get that free wifi some of the time, but not always. Early mornings seemed the easiest to get that wifi in the room. The free breakfast was nice too, good coffee and good fruit, lots of breads and jams, and cereals too. Eggs and meat in a hotplate, too underdone for me but huibby loved them!

Great

Beds were extremely comfortable with all the room amenities anyone could desire. Large room (we were upgraded) and separate dressing area and divided bath made us feel like royalty. Staff was extremely helpful with taxis, bus information, restaurants we might like and printed our boarding tickets for us when the printer didn't work in the business center (it needed a new ribbon !)

We thought that this hotel was beautiful inside. The room was smallish but very comfortable. The bathroom, however, was spacious with lots of counter space. The location of this hotel was convenient for us. We could walk to everything of interest (but we are big walkers anyway). Most importantly, the hotel staff provided excellent service. We were full of questions and they were so good about accomodating all of our needs. Their English was excellent! I would definitely stay again.

We were very pleased with the hotel. It was very clean . It has been extremely well refurbished in recent years. The front desk receptionists were exceptionally helpful to any questions (and we had a lot.) The breakfast was very,good. Would stay again. Mature guests.

had to tell them i had free wifi included they made me show them the hotels .com reservation to verify my word otherwise smooth sailing

This hotel is nice and very reasonably priced for a 4-star hotel. It is clean, and the hotel staff is friendly. The breakfast buffet offered each morning is delicious. The hotel is a bit removed from the major sights and restaurants, though taxis throughout the city are cheap and plentiful, so this is not a major downside.

Area quite dangerous and although the entrance is grand and lovely restaurant and bar, the room was very disappointing and small. Almost claustrophobic and upgrade prices were ridiculous. Pay for better room when booking online!!!

Wish we could have stayed longer.

Great quality of service, the hotel is located in a busy street in an area that must have been exclusive at some point and still have the glamour of the era. Walking distance to Corriente were you can find theaters and restaurants. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the staff very profesional.We highly recomend the hotel, taking in consideration that the location is good even is the area may not be the best , you can see homeless and garbage on most corners which take away some of the great qualities of the hotel location. Overall we had a great stay and will definitely stay at the Savoy again on our next trip to Buenos Aires.

Very elegant and stylish decor.The hotel is conveniently located. It is easy to get to all the must -see sights. Also, there are many restaurants, stores, banks close to the Hotel. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel was centrally located and of a very high standard. I have travelled extensively around the world and stayed at many 4 and 5 Star hotels and this would rate as one of the better ones for the price.The staff were friendly, helpful and spoke excellent english. Breakfast was included and was very good.

We found we could walk to quite a lot of the tango workshops and the Millongas at night taxi's were so easy to get outside the hotel Sitting in the most beautiful lounge in the mornings planning our day listening to. Piped tango music. Some of the furniture treasures were beautiful. The Breakfast quality and selection. We're superb

Great stay. When I first arrived the neighborhood was so so. But once exploring it, the area became alive. Lot's of live theater. Lot's of young people with energy. There are universities close by. There is a resturant on the same street as the hotel, closer to the Congresso, The Americana, that serves the best empanadas in BA. The Hotel staff was excellent. They were very helpful and very nice people.

This hotel is unique and elegant . The beauty has been nicely maintained in the public areas, but the rooms are small and "modern" and have little charm, although they are very clean. The bathroom is spacious and beautifully lit. Although there is a large bathtub you likely can't enjoy a bath as the faucet only dribbles when you try to fill the tub. The water isn't hot enough to use the shower to fill and would probably take a very long time in any case. The breakfast was above average and included scrambled eggs and bacon as well as the usual continental items. The tomato bruschetta was a nice treat and, of course, the champagne was a nice surprise. The staff were knowledgable, usually bilingual and very courteous. I spent one day on a walking trip and went to Florida street to shop. Certainly, an interesting city with plenty of bargains to be found. Check out the street vendors for interesting handmade crafts. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and will certainly book here again.

The hotel is very nice, clean and the service was very good as well. The only flaw is the location since it is in the middle of downtown which is not the nicest part of Buenos Aires.

Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. Hotel offers good breakfast selection, and it's a walking distance from the oblisque and recoleta. Great restaurants within a walking distance from the hotel. Don't miss a chance to eat at Chiquillin and Las Canas- great way to experience Argentinian cuisine at great affordable prices. The hotel is a historic place where Albert Einstein and Eva Peron once stayed. My husband and I are planning to go back in three years and yes we will be staying at the Savoy again!

We had a great stay. If I cold change an thing I would offer an extende check out to those that are laeving for America on the 8 PM flight. Your staff did permit us to stay in the room until 2 which we really appreciated. It would have been nice if we could have stayed to 4 pM.Which would have not required us to spend so much time at the airport.

Very nice staff, helpful with football tickets, Air Conditioning was horrible even after phone calls.

After viewing the pictures online, I was quite excited for my first stay at the Savoy Hotel. The lobby, bar, and staircases are quite impressive. The rooms are large, but I have a few complaints. When we arrived, our room on the executive floor was very warm so the bellhop showed us how to use the air conditioning. We left a key in the room to cool while we went out to dinner. Upon returning around midnight, the room was hotter than before! The staff came to look at the air, but couldn't figure it out, so they changed our room. While the second room was a bit cooler to begin, the A/C ultimately did not work either. With a heavy down comforter, we spent a very uncomfortable night. In addition, the room that they moved us to was much smaller, without access to the executive coffee room, and they didn't provide a reimbursement. My parents, who were staying in another suite on the same floor, also had a very hot not with a malfunctioning air conditioner. The second night, we asked to be moved to a basic room. They moved us to a room on the first floor which was both a cheaper price and had A/C that worked. Overall, the staff was helpful and friendly, but DON'T pop for the suites! They are overpriced and less comfortable than the basic rooms!

Hotel is centrally located and has great amenities for the price.

Very nice hotel but in a not so nice neighbourhood. There are no restaurants of high caliber in the neighbourhood. High ceiling, granite sink, hardwood floors, first class linen but we are used to North American standard i.e. with coffee maker, microwave in the room and friendlier, smiling staff. This hotel has none of those. Also, room given to us for 8 days has only half window with view of old building apartments.. The other half is a wall.

Good value; happy with location and service.

This recently renovated hotel stands out in a neighbourhood in dire need of investment. Sidewalks are dilapidated and most surrounding buildings have definitely known better days (decades ago). Though everything in the hotel is brand new, there are already maintenance problems. The electronic key in the first room I was assigned could nver be made to work. Two days later, due to unknown causes, the electric fuses for my room went off. In both cases, hotel personnel seemed at loss as to what to do. Should I ever go back to Buenos Aires, I would choose a hotel closer to the obelisk, the true city centre.

Hotel staff was Very nice. The hotel also included breakfast which was very delicious and had variety. Everything was very clean. My husband is very picky when it come to hotel cleanliness and the hotel was not only organize but also neat. Staff was knowledgable and friendly. We felt welcomed and safe

I was delighted with this hotel - loved the decor, classy with a stylish modern flair. The rooms are as nice in reality as they look in the pictures, and all of the furnishings are very high quality. The service was 5 star. For the price, this was a fantastic deal. I definitely plan to stay here again.

nice hotel in good location but rooms were tiny. nice lounge/bar area.

I would definately recommend this hotel. Athough the hotel was originally built in the 1940´s, it has been beautifully restored. One of the finest hotels I have stayed at. Location is also convenient.
