Great location. Staff was very nice. Beautiful courtyard area in the back. My negatives would be very small room and bathroom so tiny it was difficult to get ready. Quiet at night but road noise in the am.

Beautiful gardens and great service in general. Would have thought airport shuttle and beach chairs would have been included given many other, cheaper hotels offered this for free. Rooms clean and comfortable, mine could have done with updating of the bathroom but was otherwise well appointed. Breakfast was a bit showy and was pricey for what you get ($15). Restaurant was very good but again a little overpriced I felt, particularly the wine, but again, the service was exceptional. I would stay again if in south beach.

Charming, authentic hotel, superbly maintained and with an excellent staff. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely!

This hotel was so so for my stay. Firstly not only dry wall that you hear almost everythig within a mile but also wooden floors. that combo gets things complicated. Secondly the hotel not only has no valet but also has no designated space to park at hotel door for luggage loading and unloading. this is very unconfortable as you are as watch dog for dade towing your car .... finally not adviced by hotels.com that hotel was under renovation. friday 830am changing carpets in all halls scratching under my very door. nevertheless denotes inexperience of hotel managmement. repairs should start not before 3pm .... by the way bathroom needs update and if you need a hot shower please be adviced to turn it on 20 minutes earlier. nice hot water arrives when you are about to finish .....

NOT GOOD

We were very pleased. After indulgence in Key West and relaxation in Key Largo, Cadet was great in every way in letting us transition back to the 'real world', walking/eating/drinking as much as our budget allowed in a fast-paced atmosphere. Miami Beach helped us 'bridge the gap' between the Keys and our lives upon return, at home just outside of Philadelphia (Collingswood, NJ)

This boutique hotel was perfect for our trip. It was close to shopping and restaurants and not far from the beach. The only draw back was that the room was a little small. The service was amazing.

Great little hotel. The staff was very friendly and recommended a close, tasty restaurant.

Room was quite small but I knew that going in from prior reviews. Bed was very comfortable, friendly front desk, let me check in early at 1 pm. No view unfortunately from my room but I was only using the room to sleep so it didn't bother me. Good location a block off Collins. Easy walk to South beach, hung out at Loews where other friends were staying.

We had a great stay at the Cadet Hotel. The hotel is much smaller than we expected so upon first entry we were a little unsure, but it ended up being a wonderful quaint hotel. The hotel grounds are beautiful, the room and entire hotel extremely clean, and the bed very comfortable. Extreme attention to detail with fresh flowers and small dish of fresh fruit in the room when we checked in. I cannot say enough about the friendliness of the staff...they were all so very nice and it's the small things that make the difference like walking me to my car with an umbrella when it was raining and opening the door for me each time we left the building. One draw back is that there was no coffee available in the room but they brought us some in the morning on a tray with a bud vase and fresh rose. I would recommend the hotel and stay again if given the opportunity. Not a place for small children but great for a couple!

Loved the hotel, great location and great customer service. The room was a bit small, but comfortable.

My room was small but very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The public parking half a block away was very convenient. I will stay at this hotel again, and I recommend it.

Our stay was wonderful. The hotel is smallish (I think 38 rooms), but the interior and grounds are very tastefully and thoughtfully done. The staff is attentive and helpful. It is slightly removed from the bustle of Collins, making it more quiet, but still easy walking to Lincoln Rd, the beach and Lummus Park.

This hotel is clean, comfortable and charming. The staff was very friendly and the room was quaint and very comfortable. They give you bottled water and a fresh fruit cup upon arrival and chocolates at turndown. It was a close walk to the beach and restaurants but was quiet at night. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

The staff is awesome, very professional, always there to help. The hotel is located in a very nice place, walking distance from restaurants, beach, stores, museums. The hotel and the room was very clean. The breakfast was very good.

On a recent 3 night stay in Miami Beach my wife and I had the pleasure of staying in the beautiful art-deco Cadet Hotel. From the moment we entered the building we knew we had chosen well. Although the hotel itself and indeed our room is quite small everything about the building indicated an attention to detail that comes only with staff who know what the customer wants and are willing to deliver it. From the tasteful decor to the little touches like sweets on the bed, a single rose on the table and complimentary water, everything just struck the right note. The hotel's location was ideal- just a short stroll to the beach and Ocean Drive.

Had a 2 night pre cruise stay at this little diamond of a hotel. The room was lovely and clean with a comfortable queen size bed, loved all the little touches like pockets on the curtains with little sprigs of lavender in them, a fridge with a complimentary bottle of water, chocolates on the bed, slippers,housecoat, a free safe and free internet access, a little fruit bowl and a lovely letter welcoming you to the hotel. All these little touches made it so much nicer than staying in one of the big chain hotels. It has a lovely jacuzzi in the quaint pied a terre to the back of the hotel. Will definitely come back to this hotel in the future.

A charming, well-maintained Art Deco property ideally situated near the best of South Beach, steps from Lincoln Road and a short walk to Ocean Drive. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Older historic hotel: Good location Clean Somewhat tired Our room the size of a shoe box with no view

When we checked into the hotel the first thing we noticed was he size of the bed. The reservation was for a queen bed and the bed was a double. When we pointed this out we were told that a double was a queen bed in Miami. The fruit they left to great us was a nice treat until we discovered the strawberry was moldy. We attempted to use the jacuzzi but the water was colder than the sourounding air. The staff said they would turn up the heat inn the tub. We discovered later that the jacuzzi closed at 7pm because they had a restraurant. Before 6 it was impossible to relax in the jacuzzi because of the construction happening all around the hotel. We tried for both days of the reservation to use the jacuzzi and both days the pool was too cold to use. They came up with new excuses the second day overwhythe jacuzzi was so cold. When we checked in thetemp in theroom was toocold. The room was so cold because of the air conditioning. We asked how to control the ac and was told that the front desk would set the AC. After 3 attempts the room was too cold. I have never stayed in a room where you did not control the temperature of your own room. The hot water took over 10 minutes to warm up. When we asked the front desk about this they said the water was not being used. The first time we discovered this was about 8 pm while the restraurant was in operation. After placing items in the in room safe we could not reopen the safe. We had to get the front desk staff to open the safe. We were told that the problem was with the batteries in the safe mechanism. We asked them to change the batteries while we were o it for the day. We came back to the same problem and an alarm on the safe going off every 30 seconds. Again we asked them to change the batteries. They finally changed the batteries but left the safe unable to be used. We made a 1-800 call using the phone in the room to discover this was a charged call. Before making the call I checked all the documentation on tehphnesand no wher

Staff was all really nice, we were welcomed to our room with a bowl of fresh fruit. And frendly people. Its a great location. If u want fine dining or a walk on the beach. Its all right there around the corner. The room had a homely feeling, and comfortable. Not all cluttered and not the advrage blankets. The blankets and sheets were not cheap feeling or anything like that. All in all it was a great motel and id recomand it to anyone. If i visit Florida id stay there anytime :). :). Jeremy.

Beautiful old hotel. Courteous professional staff.rooms were smaller but updatedto current standards. No elevator but expected in old hotel. Only major complaint was the room got progressively warmer and uncomfortable through the night and. I could not find any temperature control device.

The hotel is a great place in a very convenient location. Service was superb. Quaint outdoor patio for a cold cocktail or a quiet read. Short walk to beach and all of the hot spots of nightlife. Only minor negatives are traffic noises outside your room, and you must ask the front desk when you need to change the AC temperature in your room. But they are very gracious. No elevator, but they take your luggage up and down the stairs for you. Definetly would be our choice to go back again. Had a wonderful time!

Room was modest, but bright and clean and pleasant. Bed a little soft for my taste, but otherwise okay. Bathroom could use an update - hot water was hard to come by, and it just seemed a little run down (though clean at least). The service here was fantastic, though. There was always someone in the lobby, even though I was leaving very early in the morning most days. Evening turndown service was a nice surprise, too. When it was time to leave, they had a cab ready for me before I even made it downstairs. The lobby is nice, with small bar and a pretty little patio outside.

A Cute hotell in full first half of the century art deco style; with clean, small rooms, and a beautiful (and very hot) jacuzzi in the backyard. Very close to all the shops and restaurants on Lincoln Road and Collins Avenue (and the beach of course). We enjoyed our 4 night stay here.

The hotel was great - clean, well-appointed and in an excellent location. The front desk manager was rather rude and off-putting, however. Maybe I expect too much, but there was no "welcome" or "thanks for coming." It seemed like we were bothering him by checking in.

The staff was the most amazing thing about our stay at the Cadet!! All of the staff was friendly, informed, and helpful. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and wanted. the hotel is in a fabulous location. We parked the car and didnt need to drive anywhere for 3 days. There is tons to do within walking distance. The hotel was cozzy and friendly. The small details were so wonderful from fruit at check-in to the candles around the outside patio each night. They have a wonderful facility and wonderful staff. I will definetly be back when I have a romantic partner with me :)

Hotel very well located. Very close to Lincoln Road. People are very thoughtful. Every day, placed fourth in gifts, such as seasonal fruits, chocolate, mineral water etc.. Very simple, but very welcoming. We are very grateful for the special attention we received.

this hotel is a hidden gem in miami beach. the quality of the service is first class at a great price! i highly recommend it!

I stayed at this hotel as it was very close the convention center and the Linciln Mall area. They had a wonderful breakfast out on a quiet patio each morning. The only negative was the loud street noise (St and Sun eve). I think this could be alleviated with an air conditioning unit with more fan noise to offset this. Otherwise a very pleasant stay

Nice little touches ie chocs, fruit on arrival, bottles of water. Location is excellent with plenty of restaurants nearby. We did not opt for breakfast so cannot comment on that. Bathroom was rather small but otherwise would definitely recommend it to you.

Points ++ : - situation - newspaper in the morning - piano - kindness of the reception Points - : - rooms a little bit small - no parking, price of nearest parking 25€/day - expensive breakfast

Fantastic Hotel, hidden among the higher priced "big boys" in South Beach. Wonderful service, perfect location, won't ever stay anywhere else. 1 block from the beach and Lincoln Mall. Save some serious $$ to spend shopping. Also 1 block from the bus stop. Instead of $35 taxi ride, take the bus for $2.35 (About a 30 minute ride). First class service and staff.

While this place is older, they have done a great job in the restoration. The rooms were very clean and nice and the staff was exceptional. It was a great find. And yes they do not have parking, but there was a lot nearby, It's a small hotel, but very cozy and friendly, Would definately consider staying there again..just don't bring any kids.
