Best Western Arosa - مدريد

Great location,straight across the road from the metro access.We had a fantastic room -5th floor right on the corner of the building with impressive street views!

We know Madrid so chose the Arosa for its in-the-middle-of-everything location. We booked an "executive room" with breakfast and a free mini-bar (beer, water and soft drinks) included. Although the room was small and had an old TV, it opened to a balcony overlooking the Gran Via. The public areas are elegant and the breakfast buffet had everything one could expect. As an added bonus the hotel offered complimentary champagne between 4 and 6 each evening. Two negatives: The two elevators are minuscule (and slow), and the front desk staff was short on personality.

HOTEL LOCATION PERFECT VERY CLOSE TO ALL PUBLIC TRANSPORT, BUT WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF MOST SIGHTS.

The rooms smell very badly. We booked 3 rooms and all three rooms were smelling. The hotel has two lifts but only one works for most of the time the guest had to take the stairs. We stayed on the 4th floor - every time the lift came past us it was full so eventually we all had to carry our luggage down or walk down. The staff at the counter do not have any customer service.

Excellent location, eveything was a few minutes away from the hotel. Alos Gran via Station is about 2 minutes away from the hotel. I'll recommed the hotel to anyone. Rooms were clean and the staff went out of their way to provide a great service.

I had a great time at the Hotel Arosa. It is in a perfect location to see everything in downtown Madrid. The front desk was not very friendly nor were they helpful. However, the bar staff and the doormen more than made up for the front desk's flaws. They were great at giving directions to places to eat and drink. The price and location made up for any shortcomings in the room.

I loved it and will try to book it if will visit Madrid again

Excellent location. Good standard hotel. Breakfast is expensive, however there are many nearby cafes to have breakfast.

Overal the hotel was great, although room was small, but very pleasant and clean, they had some sort of construction goin, so there was limited visivility out of window which had to be closed at all times. Would like to have had wash cloths or small wash towels on the bathroom, but it was not a major problem.

The is the second time I stayed at the Arosa. I specifically chose it. It Is close to everything and one can easily walk everywhere. The staff is great and very helpful. Their English is great so no problems there. But they were willing to help with mt Spanish. Just love this place and it's people.

GREAT LOCATION AND SERVICE ALTHOUGH SOME ROOMS ARE RATHER SMALL BUT WELL ORGANIZED, LIT, AND COLORS (RELAXING, FRESH, AND CONTEMPORARY).

Hotel is alright...very odd and unusual elevator! Was under renovation (outside) while we were there. A little noisy if your room is next to the main road. Otherwise an allright place for a SHORT stay.

I just stayed here one night before leaving Spain. The location was definitely good--great for walking to the city center. I went to see a Flamenco Show at Cafe Chinitas--this was an easy walk. The room is adequate--nothing fancy. Clearly, as an American, I am conditioned to expect better from a 4 star hotel, but I recognize that European standards are totally different. The room was clean and so was the bathroom. The front desk service was friendly. Remember--if you need a hotel shuttle, you MUST book it before 1900 as it is another company/contractor that offers the service or else you are stuck taking the bus to the airport or paying much more for a cab.

Very old hotel, with an amazing location, but that's the only good thing about it! Pokey rooms and everything was quite dilapidated. I stayed in the executive room and it was tiny, and would not like to know what the cheaper rooms were like! Wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Not worth the money and doesn't seem up to the 4 star standard.

Good room on executive Package deal, great view and the most important location - close to every point of interest in Madrid. 90% of points of interest are within 10-15 min of light walk. Breakfast is just ok, but enough. Price is good considering the location right on Gran via

This hotel has some good features - location, breakfast staff are friendly etc, but it isn't really a 4* hotel. it is a 3*. It doesn't have all the in room amenities described on hotels.com website e.g no iron or tea/coffee making facilties. It is worth using though if you want a good convenient location and don't end up spending too much time in your room.

Found the doorman to be friendly and recommend anice restaurant for Tapas. The bar offers guests a free glass of Cava champagne in the bar each night.. adjacent to the reception desk. Do go check it out and find the time period. sorry to say, they do not inform you of this at the reception and I learned an hour too late.

When we arrived at the hotel at noon from an early flight the staff was very friendly and checked us in to a room that was immediatley available. Not having to wait 3 hours for a room guarantees that we will return to this hotel! They also made us reservations for a local Flamenco club where we were given a great table! The location is great--on the Gran Via and very close to a metro stop. Not only will we return to this hotel but we have told our friends and family about Hotel Arosa

the hotel is close to almost every thing, but the rooms are much smaller then it seems in the picture, there are no toiletries in the room (what you would expect to have in a 4 star hotel), and the air conditioner is stuck on about 23' , you cant heat more or cool more if you like. There's no air in the room, which made it hard to sleep and too hot. Definitively not a 4 star hotel.

Great location and reasonably priced. Hotel was under renovation during our stay and there was noise in our room. Staff moved us to a nicer and quieter room without any problems. Lots to do in surrounding area and convenient to the Metro.

The location was great- right next to the metro line, on a vibrant and busy street (Gran Via) with lots of shopping and resturants. It is walking distance to Puerto De Sol, Plaza Mayor, Plaza Santa Ana, and many other sites. A taxi ride from the hotel was about 25 minutes but was easily accessed by the Metro (exit Sol or Gran Via). However, the elevators barely fit 2 people, WITHOUT luggage. Also, the bed was very hard and our room had a foul smell of sewage coming from the bathroom that reduced once the bidet sink was plugged.

This hotel has a very good position in downtown Madrid. Service is excellent. Breakfast is OK. We had an executive room in Japonese style. We where deceived. Not one painting on the wall and the furniture was not at all Japanese. We felt like in a prison cel. Still, the room was clean, bathroom spacious. We will return, but probably in an Occidental Executive room. The smallest elevators of the world are not made for wheelchair customers.

The breakfast was outrageously expensive

the exterior was under maintenance and covered with cloth creating a dingy feeling The hotel needs refurbishment and was a disappointment . Great location and convenient Its just getting tired !

The hotel is located only 2 minutes away from the Gran Via Metro, which makes it really easy getting anywhere in the city. The bed was comfy and the biggest plus was the free wifi! The room was new and clean and modern, although simple. Recommended for the price and location!

The taxi driver couldn't find the hotel on first pass! The hotel was all covered up due to some kind of remodeling and the "front door" to the hotel is hidden away on a side street. This hotel has the two most unusual elevators we've even seen...they are also very small...so if you are traveling with Large suitcases or with a group with lots of suitcases, this may not be the place for you. However, we found them both rather "cute" and even took pictures of the 3 of us - squeezed inside the smaller one! The Japanese hostess at the reception kindly changed our room from #516 to #612 on the 2nd day as we had requested a Queen bed. Though it was a smoking room there was no noticeable smell, but the bathroom fixtures were unstable and one can hear the next room if noisy. However, the location is quiet convenient to Puerta del Sol etc. etc.

Hotel is located in a great location. You are able to walk everywhere. Shuttle service to and from the airport is provided by the hotel for a charge but taking the metro to get there is easy as well. Rooms are on the smaller side. Elevators are very small and weird shaped but since we were there during November and it was not busy, this was not a problem for us. I would recommend this hotel for the location.

if you are not planning to spend a lot of time in your room and you are on the budget, but want to stay in the city centre - then it is a perfect hotel for you.

Location is close to puerta de sol, and metro station on gran via, staff was helpful in providing directions and information. Stayed in the executive room, which I thought was a little small for executive room, but that is europe for you. Enjoyed the free internet, which is average twelve euros at other hotels, also the executive room was a little bit more that regular rooms but including breakfast and free minibar so I think it was worth it, especially when booking with a coupon code. elevators are a little small and slow, maybe a 3rd floor room would be better.

This hotel is well located - plenty of places to visit as well as shopping. Metro and tourist bus just outside hotel. A fantastic coffee shop in the square. Would return to this Hotel again.

Hotel in a good situation for sites of Madrid but in need of TLC it is currently undergoing up grade work outside but inside is grubby . Staff are very friendly and helpful but Would not use it again.

The location of this hotel is great and near all the great places. The Gran Via subway stop is very close by. The rooms were clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. They offer free wifi (you just need to get the login info from the front desk). The only bad thing is the elevators are very small and they always stop on the 2nd floor (where the check in counter/lobby are).

There was construction at the hotel outside the balcony which we were not aware of when booking. The scaffolding blocked the view and the street traffic was very noisy keeping me awake for most of the night. The elevators were very small where only 1 to 2 people could fit in them and it took awhile to use one when moving luggage in and out of the room. We asked the reception desk to call us a call but referred us to the doorman who smelled heavily of alcohol. The free WIFI was great but doesn't make up for poor customer service and renovations.

More of a tourist rather than business hotel, great location near Gran Via. If you have problems with road noise though do not stay here, Madrid is is 24/7 and Gran Via is one of the busiest roads in the city. Room was OK, Breakfast OK, Internet was a bit hit and miss, but, then it's free so can't complain too much, I would stay here again just because of location, close to Metro, and easy to get to/from for business and also lots of restaurants, cafes etc nearby.

This hotel is located in the middle of Madrid. I was able to walk to all the main sights. It is easy to get to from the airport - take the Metro to Gran Via and it is two blocks away. The room was nice with your basic ammenities (the shower only has bath gel shampoo combo, so I would recommend that you bring your own shampoo). The rooms have free Wifi (get the login codes from reception) but you have to get to their sight to login. But overall, this is a nice hotel to stay at.

The hotel is located right off the Grand Via. Close to all the major tourist sites. The front desk personel were very helpful with setting up tours. I would recommend this hotel. The only problem were the very tiny elevators.

We had to cancel our 3-night-stay because of lost properties/ robberies at home. Spoke to hotel to change dates if possible. There was none intention to do anything "just to be friendly", couldnt even give us 1 night later on.

This is a reasonable hotel, good location to Sol, restaurants, shopping and other sites. However, we were very disappointed that we were not advised that the entire building is completely scaffolded for months (in October we were quoted 3 months, but not sure of the dates). This meant that we were not able to open our windows and almost got zero natural light - in the end we looked past this, as we spent very little time in the room. The free wifi was completely useless - in four days we got maybe one or two bursts of 5-10 mins, otherwise 10 seconds here and there.

Good value. Great location. Can't find a better location in Madrid. (only complaint is the wait for the lifts - although one lift is the smallest I've seen in the world. Worth taking a photo of. Very unusual) Receptionists could have been friendlier but responded quickly when asked so 4/5.

It's close to the Gran Via and all the action. But the hotel it's self has to be rated 2 stars. The bed was so hard and they lost wi-fi for half my stars. Had to go to McDonald's to wait for my friend to contact me. It was the cheapest I could book for my trip, so I guess I got what I paid for.

I have stayed at many hotels in Europe, and this one is a great choice. It was very clean, nice bedroom, and had a great location. The metro stop for Grand Via is right outside and it is a 5 minute walk to Sol. Great neighborhood and felt very safe. I would recommend this hotel.

The price is very good and the location is also an advantage of this Hotel. Elevator are small but price and location are enough to decide for this hotel. Additional, METRO station less than 2 minutes walking distance, 8th floor is newly renovated, and FREE WIFI. This is also important. Enjoy your trip. tip. there are no to much money change office and their change are to expensive. so either use debit card or buy your Euros at home.
