Blackwell Grange Hotel - دارلينغتون

Lovely hotel, located within a 15/20 minute walk into Darlington town centre and close to A1. Well equiped rooms, although carpets could do with a clean. Another slight bug-bare is that rooms are serviced daily and there doesn't appear to be a "do not disturb/ clean" option. Haven't eaten in the restaurant or bar, but it always looks busy.

Hotel is clean and comfortable with a nice quiet location near to motorway and town etc. In need of some modernisation and TLC as looking very tired in certain areas.

Was only there for an overnight but found it a relaxing place, but hotel is in need of some TLC....buffed paintwork and a general major spring clean would make it even better place to stay.

Nice hotel in golf course setting. Good area. Exec rooms good. Although breakfast was good, the hotel was let down by inconsistent quality of food at dinner . Lack of attention to detail as part of the wedding reception was held in grounds and although grass had been cut, the cuttings had not been cleared.

I booked this while down to attend an event, and it was perfectly reasonable for a one nighter. One point - although not far from the centre, it does feel like it is in the middle of the countryside, making it quite difficult to find in the dark!

Excelelnt friendlty staff, good food, within striking distance of many places.

I would not stay again.

You only get what you pay for and the room was just that. Only one set of towels for two people sharing and no tumblers in the bathroom. The Christmas party night food average and service not that great

for the 1st night I was given a cheap room which was in a smelly corridor. I did not want to stay in it another night & was shown another through a labyrinth of passages that reeked of undefined smells, which I pointed out to the room clerk. I finally got the room at the front of the Hotel which was really beautiful. So the management should (1) smarten up the sub-standard cheaper rooms or (2) make the prices differences absolutely clear to the guest.(I would ahve expected since I smpent 1 nt in the smelly part NOT to have been charged extra for the new room. Of course for the nicer room I had to pay more. But that's not the point. If your hotel professes a certain standard the difference should not be that you get a room cheap in a smelly part of the hotel or pay more and stay in a non smelly part. I am an ex Hilton International Hotel Sales Director with world wide travel experiance & really KNOW what I'm on about. This should not happen.

Expected so much more from this hotel. Room extremely hot and uncomfortable - window locked shut and catch broken. Ordered 2 morning newspapers - none arrived! Grapefruit juice fermenting at breakfast time. Verbal apology from waitress. Have been more comfortable in Travelodges and paid only one third of this price.

a fantastic experience. The wedding planner did an excellent job and all the staff were very attentive. Nothing too much trouble. the foof in the resturant and the breakfast could not have been falted. The only complaint was that there was a few minor decorating issues. but nothing to worry about. I do think that the additional robes ecgt was a bit pricey. Lovely surroundings and would deffinately stay here again.

Beautiful Location Wonderful building Delightful Staff I would stay there again without other consideration.

good value 3 star hotel - well located for Darlington and surrounding area - lovely grounds and public areas but room a bit dated and bathroom ceiling mouldy

Splendid location Good deal offered dining for two in evening

Good value but worn and in need of a lick of pain. Superior room was a mini suite. Extremely spacious with 6ft bed.

Stayed at this hotel for a wedding. The room was lovely and comfortable and the staff were great.

Overall, we were very impressed with the stay, especially the attitude of the staff. The Health centre person was very helpful. The evening meal was a really nice experience. Please thank them. The cost of the breakfast was far too much £11.95 and so we went to a cafe instead. We also needed a light changing and it was done within an hour. We were very impressed.

We were very pleased with the hotel, our room was very plush and large. The hotel was very quiet and the clients quite elderly, but it was great for our stay.

Good location friendly helpfull staff good breakfast a refurbishment would help but we would stay again

This is a large hotel based on an old country house, with many modern additions. It seemed a long walk from reception to our room, but we found that we could drive our car round the back and carry luggage a shorter distance. It is well situated for main roads out of Darlington, but is in secluded private grounds. There is a choice of restaurant and bar meals which are served very late, and breakfast service was good despite being busy. Best of all it has its own swimming pool and gym free to guests.

Booked 3 rooms through hotel.com, room only no breakfast and good value for money. Arrived late in evening and decided to eat in hotel restaurant, staff concerned we would have to wait as they were busy and we wanted table for 8. Didn't have to wait long at all, they then let us choose from 3 different menus, so everyone able to find something they liked without having to spend a fortune on a la carte. Rooms OK, had everything we needed including plenty of hot water which we needed after busy day at circuit. I thought beds a bit hard similarly pillows but rooms quiet unlike more expensive roadside lodges. All in all very satisfied with this hotel, just what we wanted. Only issue was that reception staff did not explain that after 11pm you couldn't buy drinks at bar with cash and we hadn't set up credit card for such purchases. Noticed afterwards there was a sign on reception saying this but would have been helpful if it was pointed out when booking in.

nice hotel great service, checkin was quick, nice room, only a 5 min taxi ride to darlo center. would recommend to anyone!
