Excellent; wish i could have stayed longer. Only quibble is that I don't like being charged separately for breakfast: the charge should be included in the original price list.

The location could not be any better. We could see the Dom from our window! The hotel pub was perfect, the room was modern and clean, and the restaurant had the best breakfast I've ever seen! The room was small, but hey, this is Europe, not the US. Restaurants, shops, and museums (including the chocolate museum) were all walkable. We are def. going to stay there again!

This was a very comfortable hotel located very close to everything we wanted to see. The room was great and the staff was incredible. They were extremely helpful and friendly. We were there to visit the Christmas markets and the bonus was how close it was to everything else. It’s a very short walk from the train station and very close to the cathedral. It’s also pretty close to the Rhine River which makes for a nice stroll. The Christmas markets were incredible and our favorite one was very close to the hotel. (about one block) The German people are very nice and the food at the markets was incredible. They really know how to throw a festival.

Didn't spend much time in the hotel, but it was exceptional.

The reception was quite impressive and there was a warm welcome. However, the room was very small and boxy and there was no tea in the room, and when I called to have some brought up for later in the day- it never arrived. There is a little fitness suite, sauna and steam room and they are very clean and well presented but when I planned to use them on late Sunday morning they were not running. It was clean, stylish and the staff were friendly but a little overpriced give the above.

The hotel's location is fantastic, next to the dome and all the best Christmas markets if you are in Cologne in that time of the year. Friendly and helpful staff, good sleep quality, good shower and bathroom facilities, and competitive pricing make this my hotel of choice for staying in Cologne.

it was conviniently located, big enough room and bathroom, elevator was way too slow, carpet and furniture needed some extra cleaning- they looked dusty and dirty a bit, bedding was fine, bathroom was very clean

Very convenient, 5 minute walk from station plenty of bars and eating places close by. Hotel of high standard and reasonably priced. (Breakfast at 25 euros had us looking elsewhere)

The hotel is very good, reasonable price for this quality of hotel, and a good location in the center of the city. The room is a bit small however. It seems like the rooms might have been made by spitting one large good room of the original building into two rooms. For example, the cabinet for hanging clothes is beautifully designed, but very small and awkward to get to in the room. The shower and bathroom is very good, and not too small. We had a nice view of the Dom from our hotel room window. We did not have breakfast during the 2 night s that we stayed, because it seemed over priced at 25 euros. If you want to go to the Ludwig Museum or the Dom, this is a really good place to stay, as it is just next door, and very close to the main railway station.

Comfortably close to railwaystation and city center.

Ideal location. Close to the Dom, the Christmas Markets, and the Roman Museum. Very quiet inner courtyard room despite being in the middle of the city. Room was clean and well lit. Modernized bathroom with great shower. Some construction in area but it's easy to avoid and was not a noise problem (weekend stay).

Very good location, rooms are a bit small, breakfast buffet was good variety but not always hot and one day we waited 15 mins till they got more food. The bed was very comfortable. Overall it is a recommended hotel.

a nice hotel with an unbelievable location beside Cologne's famous Cathedral and Old town. The rooms are a little "Narrow" but function perfectly. The lobby area is great and they have a nice bar - Breakfast is way too expensive at €24 - its bread rolls and coffee! The outside of the hotel is rather unfortunate in that there has been long term construction ongoing for an very long time. it shouldn't effect your stay. Anyway great location and is recommended!

This hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but the location is excellent--right behind the Ludwig and Romanisch-Germanisches (sp?) museums and the Dom. The hotel is very quiet, well-maintained, nice looking on the inside, and the staff that I interacted with were all pleasant and helpful. The room was small but comfortable and had all the necessities. I would definitely stay here again. One note, because it is non-descript (square, gray building) and the hotel sign is not very prominent (purple letters on a dark-gray exterior under a sort of awning), I had a hard time spotting it at first.

We stayed here for three nights to visit the Cologne Christmas markets. The location for the hotel is ideal for this - just yards from the Cathedral and its market; a equally close the the Alter Markt markets and ice ring; a stones throw from the Rhine, and only five minutes walk from the Railway station, The hotel rooms were newly decorated and very comfortable. There are some long-term construction works at the front of the hotel, but no-one was working over the weekend. The only quibble was that the breakfast was expensive - €24 per person. However, there was a Starbucks very close as an alternative. We flew into Dusseldorf rather than Cologne. It was a very easy transfer ( only 40 minutes on a direct train). If you are doing that, Google the VRS tages ticket. Duselldorf to Koln is 5 zones, but if there is a group of you the 5 person ticket will be a lot cheaper than buying single train tickets. There is a ticket machine at the Airport Skytrain entrance. All in all - highly recommend the hotel, and the Cologne Christmas markets.

From previous reviews, my wife and I expected the room to be small and it was. Everything was clean and seemed relatively new, except for the tv which was small and old. The shower was very nice. Once you figure out where it is, the location is great, centrally located near the Dom, museums, restaurants, shopping, and the train station. It is difficult to find at first because it is nestled among the Ludwig museum and the Roman German museum, and is at a lower elevation. We did not try the pub or restaurant. There was a safe, minibar, and hairdryer in the room but no iron. There is construction going on directly on front of the hotel. Otherwise our room would have had a perfect view of the Dom, but it was obstructed by a large crane right outside our room. If your criteria is location, price, this is a good choice for the price

Vi bookede hotellet allerede for 12 måneder siden! Alligevel har hotellet ikke ulejliget sig med at informere os om, at alle vinduer var pakket ind i plastik grundet renovering. Plast for vinduerne betyder dårligt lys i rummet, SLET ingen udsigt, ligesom vinduerne ikke kunne åbnes. Ringe serviceniveau!

Hotellet ligger 2 minutters gang fra Domkirken i Køln og butikskvarteret. 1 minuts gang i modsat retning og du befinder dig ved Rhinen og et område med masser af restauranter og aftenliv. Personalet er hjælpsomt og tingene fungerer bare. Vi havde 2 overnatninger i forbindelse med Final 4 i håndboldens Champions League og hotellet ligger i gåafstand (15 min) fra Lanxess Arena som ligger lige på den anden side af Rhinen. Vi bruger det gerne igen.

Dyrt internet, som ikke er en del af prisen. €3 for en time, €6 for fem timer og €9 for 24 timer. Morgenmad koster €25 ekstra. Hotellet er pt. under udvendig renovation, så der er stillads som dækker det meste af bygningens facade. Glimrende service, og generelt pænt hotel med virkelig god beliggenhed.

deux jours agréables dans un hôtel idéalement situé à cinq minutes de la plupart des sites touristiques intéressants de Cologne. Le rapport qualité/prix est très bon.

Svært fornøyd, nå som før. Spesielt fornøyd med frokosten og betjeningen.

Sehr gutes Hotel mit jedoch erheblichen Serviceproblemen.

Perfekte Lage in fußläufiger Entfernung zum Dom, zum Hauptbahnhof und zur Einkaufsstraße. Sehr netter Empfang. Das Zimmer war schön eingerichtet und entsprach bzgl. Sauberkeit und Ausstattung voll und ganz den Erwartungen. Der Wellnessbereich war sehr schön und das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet.

Sehr kleines Zimmer, enges Bad, alter 14" Röhren-TV, super-langsamer Lift aus den 70er Jahren - das ist für den Preis, der hier verlangt wird einfach viel zu wenig.

Hotel vien mantenido , precio un poco elevado , buena ubicacion cerca de la catedral y caruos restaurantes.

Prima hotel, goede bedden, mooie kamer, vlak bij het station en de Dom. Leuke restaurantjes in de directe omgeving. Kortom: top!

I forhold til pris holder dette ikke helt mål. Frokosten til € 25,- pr stykk står ikke i forhold til det som serveres.

Nice room, the bathroom especially -- roomy and clear view even when behind the shower glass. Calming colours. But, are you really prepared to pay €25 for a normal breakfast? It turned out that the high price was due to the fact that champagne was included. Better to let people who really crave champagne for breakfast order it, and pay separately for it! Next time I will take my breakfast in one of the nearby cafés instead.

Frukostmatsalen var ok med mycket generösa öppettider, fram till kl 12. Mycket bra. Bardelen var tråkig med ett dåligt utbud, däremot läget centralt och lätt att ta sig ut någon annanstans för att hitta ett drägligare ställe. Helt ok men inget extra vagant Hotell.Vad servicen beträffar försökte vi få ett strykjärn till rummet, det fanns inget! Sen kom det när vi valt att vara skryngliga istället! Det var nog den enda extra service vi försökte nyttja under vistelsen, utöver frontdesk. Där funkade det bra.

Kanon läge mitt i smeten. Rent och snyggt, trevlig och hjälpsam personal.

The hotel is located next to the Koelner Dom and in very close proximity to tthe walking street area with lots of shops and the riverside which has lots of restaurants and nightlife. The service is good and the staff very friendly (we arrived at 0130 hrs - exhausted from a 10 hours drive - and they immediately offered to park the car (without a valet parking charge) for us. The rooms are a bit small but have what you need and are clean and more importantly: quiet! My next stay in Cologne will also be at this hotel.

The personnel was polite and gave a very good service overall. Thing like parking my car in the garage are always appreciated. The room was air conditioned witch is needed in may because of the warm and moist weather that is common. The minibar wasn't refreshed and contained a half-eatend chocolate bar and half-emty bottles. Pricing on the breakfast buffet was outrageous (€25)! Thankfully the nearby cafe's were very nice to have breakfast in. Closeness to the Dome, Central Station and the old city with all the restaurants were really great!

Super intet at klage over. Morgenmaden kostede 25 euro, hvilket jeg synes er uhørt dyrt. Vi spiste på en lille café istedet 100 m væk til 10 euro

Suverent hotell! Jeg og min kone var veldig fornøyd. Vi hadde rom mot bakgården. Hørte knapt av vi befant oss i en by. Rommet var rent og virket nytt og de hadde minibar ;-) Personalet særdeles hyggelig. Rett fram var kirken og shopping. Til venstre mat og øl. Korte avstander til alt. Anbefales på det sterkeste :-)

Hotelzimmer: Im Badezimmer war das rechte Waschbecken verstopft. Die Badezimmertür ließ sich sehr schwer schließen. Der Türgriff vom TV-Schank war angerissen (halb gerissen). Was das Hotel angeht, hätte ich für den Preis was besseres erwartet. Für mich kein fünf Stern Hotel!!!!!!!!

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und der Service ist hervorragend. Das Zimmer war etwas klein für ein 5-Sterne-Hotel aber sehr geschnackvoll ausgestattet. Gerne wieder!
