Norbreck Castle Hotel - بلاكبول

Room very tired but view absolutley wonderful. couldn't park until conferance over at 5pm. overall everything fine, breakfasr okay but would prefer fried egg not scrambled.

not to everyones taste but we like it, staff very helpful and friendly. food good, dont stay there when the bowls tournament is on though, they are rowdier than yobs and most are over 60!!!

This hotel looks good in the pictures, arriving there the reality is a whole lot different. The whole place needs refurbishing, everything feels dirty and dated. There is mould growing on the walls, the premier rooms are equally as horrible. We stayed in a premier and found you are just paying for a seaview, the room itself is not deluxe, Travelodge seems 4* compared to these rooms. There were 8 of us in 4 rooms in total, every room was dirty and every carpet had the most awful stains on. I would never return to this hotel, i have absolutely nothing positive to say about it.

Overpriced room to start with, for the money I would of at least expected that the bath tub was clean, that previous guests items had been removed from the room, and in fairness the room a little bigger. For only a fraction more of the money I paid I could of stayed in the Hilton, or for much less, a travel lodge, both of which would have been superior compared to this sorry excuse for a hotel.

overcrowded (ok if you're with a convention!), dilapidated, asked for a coffee on arrival and was served in plastic cup, get the picture!! Food inedible so didn't bother getting up for breakfast on the second day, about 100 people queueing for breakfast! Check-out 10.30 a.m which was ok as I couldn't wait to leave. The worst hotel I've ever stayed in and I've stayed in quite a few. Do yourself a favour and never book it!!

The staff at teh hotel were very helpfull but the hotel itself is in urgent need of help with regartds to upgrading. this hotel could be a major attraction to the public if this was completed and managed right. There is many activites which could take place there but dont.

I would recommend this hotel for a maximum of two nights stay. It was cold in the bar area ans bedroom and reception wouldn't supply extra blankets. Food okay. We had full english in the morning. Basic breakfast buffet. Rooms basic but comfy beds. For what me and my partner paid for our one night stay we can not complain. Just wouldn't stay for longer than two nights. Do not stay in this hotel if you want to go down to the centre cause it is a very long way away from the attractions.

room was nice ,comfy and clean ,conservatory was freezing ,told boiler broke ,beer prices too high and didnt like choice of alcohol ,entertainment was good

We have stayed at the Norbreck a number of times and had a great time, rooms big, bath and shower in room, breakfast a feast for all, and great evening entertainment and use of the pool. Our recent stay did not start off well, we booked two rooms together, one was on the ground floor on the right of the building and other on floor 5 on the other side. We had one room changed to be closer but the room had all the hot pipes running through it. Temp 37 degrees plus with the window open! The other room had no window just a noisy aircon over the bed, and the travel cot had to be rammed against the radiator to get it in. Our final rooms were o.k, however the cot still made things tight, TV had no batteries in the remote, the re placement ones did not work, no towels in one room, However once reception were aware they quickly sorted the problems, it just feels like pushing an elephant up the stairs after 6 hours on the road. I think we would stay again, but would call the hotel direct to ensure promises are carried out!

The hotel was disgusting, smelly, and i wouldnt allow a dog to stay here or any animal for that matter. Wrote a review on trip advisor so no1 else will book here and have 2 get another hotel..... Horrendously ovepriced also.... Would never stay here again.

Out of the way from shops, tower,pleare beech. Well wearth the money for peace and quite, has a great swimming pool,and has great transport with bus stop rigth out side,also trams across the road.Great food.

If you are on a budget, dont mind noisy children running around, enjoy bingo & dont mind some of the facilities advertised not being open EG, sports bar with large sattelite screens (copper facejacks) & the Cinema being closed, and dont mind paying £4 each way on the bus into blackpool , then this hotel is for you otherwise dont bother!

To start off with we were put in the wrong room as we paid for the luxury room and was put in a disgusting cheap family room where the curtains were ripped, the windows were dirty, the room smelt, the bathroom was equipped for a disabled person therefore all the facilities were too low. The service was poor as we weren't even shown or told about the facilities or even to our room. The food was awful. The entertainment for that nice was boring and only laster for around 15 minutes. It seems as though they only pay attention the the main building and dont look after or even clean the rest of the hotel. I will never stay there again and would never recommend it to anyone, not even my worst enemy.

needs modernising, our room was small, old fashioned and smelt of smoke and i am a non smoker. breakfast was good, alot of selection although wasn't overly hot. would probably not stay there again if in blackpool

Good for the money.

a place to be

Exceptional value for money.Staff very friendly and helpful. I would stay again due to the price. However, my first room smelt as if someone had just had a cigarette and left. Room changed to one where the room phone didn't work. Woken at 6am probably by kitchen staff clattering and banging outside in the yard. I'm a good sleeper, so I was a little shocked! I know you have a lot of hotel noise whilst away; but this was excessive. On the plus side my corridor was silent - very unusual in a large hotel - there were other residents on it - but I was at the end!

Undoubtedly past its prime but generally clean if a little shabby and tired. I knew I was arriving late and wanted a cheap room, got what I wanted but wouldn't use if I was after a comfortable week-end break.

As on previous visits this hotel provided a most enjoyable stay. Food as always was plentiful and of good quality. I was pleased to be allocated a sea-view room on this occasion, which added to the enjoyment of the break. Staff were friendly and attentive, showing consideration for my impaired mobility. When I requested a tablet of soap on arrival, the housekeeping staff responded so promptly that they were ahead of me on my return to the bedroom! Every effort had been made to provide a seasonal atmosphere leading up to Christmas and turkey was on the menu, which was of excellent quality with the full trimmings and cranberry sauce. Always good value for money, on this occasion dinner was a real bargain treat! Many thanks again to the Norbreck Castle.

Stayed for one night on business and only needed a single room. The room was small, however it was clean and perfectly comfortable. The Bathroom was clean, and the shower had great pressure. It could have benefitted with a curtain over the window. Room had a sea view and was quiet. TV was old and didnt have that many channels and wasn't plugged in, but worked perfectly. Only arrived at 2.30a.m and left at 8.00a.m so disn't have time to enjoy the breakfast. All in all a pleasant stay.

This is a 3 star hotel & as such it's ok but don't go here & expect anything great as you will be dissappointed. Too far out of town & the transport was very hit & miss when we stayed. Breakfast a nightmare as just too many people. Uncomfortable, tiny bed plus broken shower. Would not stay here again

This may have been one of the best hotels in Blackpool a few years ago but now is no more than a decrepid eyesore.I booked a premier room with spar bath but on arrival was given a room which was far from premier and the standard bath looked as though it would fall through the floor if you were over 10 stone.The lift was out of order and the only option apart from the stairs to the 6th floor was a service lift for 2 people which took you to the 4th floor and then you were expected to climb to the 6th via a" fire escape "which in itself looked like a fire hazard.How this hotel is allowed to operate with a licence issued by the local authority and fire service is beyond comprehension. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone especially the old,infirm,disabled,nervous or living.

The hotel is nothing like the pictures shown online. I had to change rooms three times as they was not clean. The first room they gave us the door wudnt even open took them half an hour to help us. The staff were not helpful I would not stay again. The hotel looks nice on the pictures but not in real life. Its the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

1-access to the Balmoral wing via, lift.Broke down on 3 occassions. On the last occassion out of for 24 hours. 2-Plumbing extremeley noisy and hot water unbearably hot. 3-Dining room chairs soiled and stained 4-Both entrances to the hotel littered with cigarette ends , no attempt was made to tidy up. 5- We would definateley NOT RECOMMEND this hotel. and will certainly not return.

The reception staff are excellent, as well as in the dining room, at bars which includes the room servicing workers. I have stayed at the Norbreck on a number of occasions in the previous ten-months, and have founf that the location of the room, has a marked bearing on how clean is is. Recently I staying in room 471. The lady servicing the room was excellent. Most helpful, and nothing was a problem. A common theme in all rooms I have resided in, is the the windows have not been cleaned for a long time. Entertainment excellent

Had a lovely weekend at the Norbreck hotel last weekend.Was worried about our stay because of the bad Reviews on the website. Was suprised when we arrived at the hotel was much better than we thought. The hotel had a nice bar but was a bit pricey. The room was a bit small but was very clean and had a fresh feel we had paid extra for a preimier room which was worth it. The food in the hotel was ok nothing special.

This hotel in its heyday was a real stunner. Sadly it's gone downhill and needs a lot of money spending on it to bring it up to date now. Check in was busy but the hotel was full but there were plenty of staff on hand to deal with us all. Room allocated was a smoking despite a request for non smoking but since it was full, it's to be expected. Very old portable TV, no Sky, 1 chair and bathroom was adequate although there's a lot of maintenance in form of faulty catches and bulbs not working that doesn't seem to be getting done. Reception staff were great but the bar staff & waiting on staff were young and mostly uninterested in serving residents. Rooms could have done with a good spring clean, sadly the view was poor and the windows outside were filthy. This hotel just needs some attention to detail, the grass cutting, broken glass sweeping up, some bedding plants on the front and a car park attendant to move cars that were double parked but at least it's free. Luckily it was a last minute booking so it only cost the same as a travel lodge but with a lot more facilities. I'd have been gutted if I'd paid full price for my stay though. Clientelle is quite mixed - seem popular with young families and older couples, not for the posh army. Light relief in the form of stunning cabaret on Sat 14.5. - the warm up act, Caroline Breeze at 8.30 being outstanding in comparison to the young resident act which is very "Blackpool". The location is at the far North of the prom and quite a way away from the town centre shops and bars so you'll need a good pair of flat walking shoes although this was handy at night time as it wasn't rowdy or noisey. The breakfast was fine although busy so wise to go early and an express checkout was available which was really handy. There's a sports bar which doesn't allow children in but this was cold and dark but the drinks are cheap before 7pm. The main family bar in the conservatory where the entertainment is on is far better and children are

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We had only booked for one night, but wouldn't have stayed longer in any circumstances. When we arrived people were sitting outside eating fish and chips from a local take away. There were children running up and down the corridor banging on doors from when we arrived until the early hours when security staff got involved. The room was tatty, furnishings and decoration were scabby, it was supposed to be a three star hotel, but how.

my stay at the norbreck very relaxed and. comfortable the bed could have been of a higher standard.the only complaint i have is that when i checked in i was given my room key and when i got to the room somebody was already checked in the room if it was`nt for the laundry man i would have had to go back to reception to sort out this error which should not have happened .he rang reception to find out what was the correct room i should have been in.I received no apology for this error.the rooms could be cleaned better than what they are.but overal my stay was pleasent.

The view from our room was of pigeon pooh on the glass. The room was small and tacky, Bed uncomfortable. The place was over crowded and noisy, having to queue for beakfast. Won't be going back there.

This was one of the more costly hotels to stay in and the room was much smaller than I expected. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and the room was quiet so it was pleasant to sleep there. The Internet was my biggest disappointment as it did not work at all and I rely on that as I'm there on business. Little notice was taken by front desk despite my request for a room change to try and improve connection. Breakfast was reasonable with a decent buffet selection. It was very busy and that marred the experience a little with guests and waiters walking past every couple of minutes. Service was mediocre and I had to request a refill for my tea which took 5 minutes to flag down my own table server. I did stay on a weekend where the hotel had full occupancy so that may explain the breakfast and also why they could not focus fully on my room change requirements. All in all, a restful sleep in a small room with limited accessories. I felt that I did not receive value for money on the overall experience.
