Galeria Plaza Reforma - مدينة مكسيكو

In a city that doesn't speak much English the concierge staff at the Galeria were extremely helpful, probably the only people in the whole of Mexico City that we could understand. The room we had was much nicer then what we expected, which was a pleasant surprise. Will definitely recommend it.

1)Internet is $210.00 pesos per day; very bad. When using the general internet, I always had to go to the front desk to get the code because no one was in the business office. I had a snack one nite in the lounge. The cocktails were $9.00USD. I ordered chicken wings and they came raw. I received no compensation for the major issue. Housekeeping; no one cleaned my room for my last day stay. Valet services very expensive and I had to ask them to deliver my clothes. Overall service was very very poor. I will not stay again without some sort of concession in advance.

My biggest concerns when traveling here was the condition of the hotel and I was very impressed. It felt very clean, wireless internet was around $16/day and worked great from my room. Gym old equipment and small, but did the job for a vaca workout. Pool deck...JUST LIKE THE PICTURES! Very nice. Staff extremely good. However, I must say being a young, white, female, non-spanish speaking I didnt' feel very safe walking around the neighboord. I also refused any cab service that was not offered by the hotel due to the travel warning on every hotel site I visited. I was traveling to the Presidente Continental (VERY GOOD AREA) for work the next following days and I would say if safety was your concern, and leaving your hotel to tour the city, the extra cost for a nicer hotel is worth it.

I've been in this hotel a few times, overall I have no complaints about it; unfortunately, on my last stay the lady at the front desk (I think her name is Sara) shined for her horrible attitude. She was rather rude with very poor personality. Over all I consider her a very arrogant person. When I arrived she didn't have my reservation, she requested it and asked me to wait in a horrible way, like I was asking for a favor. After more than 1 hour I approached her again to see what was going on, she had my reservation for who knows how long she just made me wait with no reason no apologies what so ever. My suggestion to keep the standards in the hotel is that the front desk personnel MUST be better trained or replaced. Read the other complaints and all the negatives have to do with the attitude of the personnel.

The hotel decor overall is nice and modern. The room was spacious and clean, but the bed was really firm. Great location and access to everything.

I checked into this hotel the last week for march 2012 for 4 days. The hotel is located in the Zone Rosa. Its a very safe and clean area. There are lots of great restaurants just walking distances (2-5 blocks away). Its a trendy area, but on the on the weekend there area gay bars and clubs. The hotels was very clean. The staff was quick to respond to any problems or questions i had. The were only 2 things i was not was happy with. First was the restroom. There were some patch repairs on the restroom, very poor lighting (important for girls). Its a minor problem but i would think a nice hotel would do a better repiars. The worst thing of the hotel were the thin walls!!! I am a heavy sleeper but i was awaken by people talking and waking along the hallways. Over all i would stay here again

The hotel is ideally located and the staff friendly and helpful. The only bad part was the very, very hard mattress and lousy pillows but other than that, it was a good stay at a very reasonable rate. I'd pay more if they changed the mattresses!

Excellent hotel,great location,clean,convenient,only one thing!!! front desk personnel TOO STIFF, they seem to be upset for working,bell boys nice!!!

Zona Rosa, Mexico City has a mixed reputation, but this is probably one of the better hotels in the area and it's centrally-located. Las Brisas owns several key properties around Mexico, including this one, and it's definitely one of the better "domestic" operators. So if want to see Mexican hospitality, this is great place. Staff is friendly and professional; concierge had sufficient English. Service was fine, room comfortable. Need more premium channels on TV. Internet room access per day was high cost for Mexican standards - bandwidth was reliable however. For a business traveler like myself it was fine. Hotel has 2-hour free Wifi which you can use in the lobby, restaurant and bar area (all 1st Main Floor). Overall, I give it 3 stars, not 4.

Overall can't complain... Room Clean, Comfortable, and very nice.... One bad thing... Internet is to be paid separately not included in hotel stay... Keep an eye out with internet included is stay...

Great hotel. Great location. Friendly staff. We felt very safe walking around the area. The only downside to our stay was the beds were very hard. (maybe I'm just a wimp)

Last time I stay at this hotel after three prior bookings and stays. Each time service has gotten worse, time to try many other options nearby. Booked two rooms online; at check-in told noted room preference would cost extra $15 per night. Rooms assigned at check-in were not cleaned; had to return to front desk for reassignment. Asked about city tours and was given high pressure sales pitch on $500MX per person private car tour. No mention of nearby Turibus option at $140MX; even though we specifically asked about bus options. Credit card left for incidentals currently showing $600USD pending charge, appears hotel may be double-billing for second room that was pre-paid as part of the original reservation. Breakfast buffet was fairly expensive, not well stocked, dirty, and mediocre service. This was my fouth time staying at this hotel in about 2 1/2 years - definitely my last. Ready to try nearby options for similar pricing; perhaps hotel will retrain employees to be more service friendly before they loose all of their return customers!

Location was great the staff was very helful and friendly i will book my next trip to mexico in the same hotel in the floor for business class.

We stayed in a club room (Brisas Club) Excellent check in on 11 th floor , Breakfast included and wine in the evening, The rooms are spacious with very comfortable luxury beds, Well worth the extra payment All the staff most helpful and courteous No problem with a late check out and Pedro in the club lounge offered us a soft drink on our departure We will always return to this hotel

A solid business hotel. Great location, plenty of cafes/bars/restaurants within walking distance, Metro a few blocks away, clean and comfortable rooms. Bathroom was somewhat small, but was clean and well kept and had plenty of hot water. Restaurant was a bit overpriced. Overall, a good experience.

I always saty at this hotel, has all the conveniences needed for a business trip. The Brisas Club level is very convenient with a comfortable lounge, breakfast included and Internet connection as well .

This hotel is very nice and located in a safe neighborhood. My room had a nice view of the famous Angel of Independence which we loved. This area is close to many attractions in Mexico City, good for tourist like myself. The night life in this area was not good for our taste however, if you swing to the left you will like it.

This is the second time that my daughter (14 years old) and I stay at the Galeria Plaza. Our week at the hotel was as pleasant as the 10 days we spent in 2010. The service is impecable. It was cold when we arrived to Mexico City last week and though the heating was not working we were given a heater immediately. We were slightly disappointed not to have the scented pillows and free café on the floor. The hotel location is just ideal. Try the roof sun lounge as it has a view of the Angel and is always very quiet and pleasant. Breakfast is good, I don't have the buffet as a rule but the a la carte menu is great and the fruit is excellent. I highly recommend the Galeria Plaza.

Got everything you need for a good sleep. The price does not include neither internet nor breakfast. Good gym and pool.

the hotel is nice the only thing was the heater wasnt working and as soon as i told it they brought a portable one to the room which worked, other than that it is an excellent hotel. the location is also very good. however if you are returning to the hotel very late at night, say after 2 am or so, i advise you to take a cab as in the nearby area there are some questionable guys at that time. but before that hour, it is perfectly safe. it is also close to bars and restaurants but the better bars and clubs are at the condesa area which is about 10 minutes by cab. dont give more than 70 pezos to the cab. they might try to get 150 out of you....

it is a great hotel. I always stay there when in DF.

We went to Mexico City on a last minute weekend and chose Galeria Plaza on the basis of four star and location. It had been years between visits to Mexico City and last time stayed at a five star property, which was an overkill as we did not require five star services this trip. Was extremely happy with the hotel, and this was an occasion that we felt we received great value for price. The hotel staff was helpful and nice. Access is great to the entire city, we walked up and down the Reforma and discovered many restaurants new to us and visited some old favorites as well. This is my new favorite hotel in the Capitol.

This hotel is a great value. The price, location, service, room, roof-top pool, staff are all excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.

The only complaint I have about the hotel is that the gym was closed for renovation. I work out regularly and there was no indication on the hotel website that the gym was closed. I stayed on the conceive level which meant the Internet was free and a continental breakfast was included. I would recommend the hotel. It is in walking distance of the Museum of Anthrpology and several other museums.

Our room (717) was very comfortable and the service great. However, the in-room safe had been removed and we would have preferred a refrigerator. The minibar might have been refrigerator, but we had no access since we did not wish to buy from it.

Fantastic Hotel with a Great location. Only 5 min away to the most posh areas of Mx City and centrally located for most business meetings. The price is really great as well the service. They offer an executive business lounge, with incredible views of the city.

Our room and the hallway was dimly lit and gloomy. The hair dryer in bathroom did not work....would only stay on for 30 seconds and cut off and would not restart until next day....then the same thing. Hotel was in a convenient location but will try to find another hotel in the Reforma area next time.

The hotel is excellent, the only problem I had was the expensive room service, and the $200.00 pesos per day for internet. I had two bottled waters, about 1 liter each and they charged me $44.00 pesos for each one..... Other than that, everything was excellent.

The front desk staff was rude and unhelpful. Book somewhere else. This hotel also is and feels dark and there's just not a good vibe there. Overpriced for what it offers.

Stay in this hotel for a business travel. Very good performance/price ratio. Staff is very helpful, room is clean and comfortable. Located in Rosa-rona area, a lot of entertainment and restaurant. Will stay here again in future travel to Mexico.

Everything was great with one exception. I had no internet signal in my room on the 11th floor and a fairly weak signal throughout the rest of the building. Other than that, I would recommend it.

This hotel has an excellent staff, the restaurant has limited options but the food is always fresh and is delivered in a timely manner. The taxi service has well serviced cars, always a plus in Mexico, and they always have safety belts which is rare. The only detail I will change is the internet code that you need to get every night, kind of a pain especially when you comeback from a meeting late at night. Definitely the best deal is to pay for the executive level since they give you the 10th floor and breakfast included.
