Just okay for a one night stay. Could easily been cleaner. Didn't expect much for the price and got what I expected.

Very unhappy with my stay here, ive syayed here before but the last 2 times have not been a plesant experience, this time I got the handicapped room, the beds sank toward the middle, there was trash behind one of the nightstands, my bed i slept in the corner collapsed when i sat down. i called and told them, and their response was since you are checking out we will take care of it after you leave, not even an apology

My advise if you want to stay here is bring your own pillows: thiers have all been run over by a steam roller...

Nice lobby & rooms. Bathroom needed minor TLC, but otherwise nice room. Bedsheets clean but worn thin.

Convenient but run down and scary. I left as soon as I woke up.

I have stayed here several times, the only thing I really don't like is the bed is very firm

Our room had a horrible smell and was probably 85 degrees when we walked in the door. The ac barely worked and the floor was very dirty.

The hotel was kind of sketchy. Hallways and even the lobby weren't well lit. Rooms were in ok condition. Clean, but not the nicest bed or bath.

Its alil worn down, I like the location, the bed is too firm, walls to thin, it is in need of repair.but for the price and location not to bad

I was very disappointed in the overall stay at the Guest House International in East Wichita. I lived near this hotel when I lived there just over 10 years ago. Upon driving up to the hotel, it was no longer mowed and manicured. The hotel looked sad and not cared for. Upon walking into the lobby and checking in it took a few minutes before the staff realized I was there and acknowledged me. It was strictly a business transaction and was never welcomed to their hotel. I was also distracted by the security screen that showed 4 different areas being "watched" in the middle of the reception desk. This did not comfort me and the security of this hotel. This hotel does not have elevators which I had to find out the hard way. I was never asked if I might need a ground floor room because of problems with steps I might have. The first room assigned to me, the key did not work and the television was on in the room. When I was finally into the second room assigned it was apparent that it was clean, but only what was necessary. There were no face plates on two of the outlets. The mirror was broken and the "free" internet, left much to be desired. I chose to try the free continental breakfast on the second day and left rather quickly. There was no presentation to this breakfast, it was very cheap and no protein option such as eggs were offered. There was nothing marked, so I had to open things and guess as to what were the cereals, very little fruit and some juice options. I was very sad and disappointed by this stay. I would think that under the right management and some care, this hotel actually could be in competition with those across the street. It needs upkeep and customer service. It really wouldn't take much, except from someone who would want to care about the property and the business. I will not be staying at this hotel again.

Room was clean and comfortable, but bathroom sink knob didn't function correctly, needed repair. Breakfast was decent.

I believe this hotel is under new management. Tha amenities did not match those on hotels.com (no coffee maker / wireless internet did not work). while it hotel was clean / there were very people there and the area of town was very industrial. I waited 15 minutes before someone came to the front desk to check me in (in the middle of the afternoon).

The halls were HOT! The full breakfast was NOT a full breakfast! It was biscuits and gravy or cereal. We use to stay here often, but will reconcider in the future.

My room was clean when i got there and it was very comfortable. I found the hotel to be quiet and the pool was clean. I chose this place since it had a pool and was only a few minutes from where i had to go the next day. Plus the price was reasonable.

Had 5 pillows in my room and could not get comfortable. Hard as rocks. 1/2 inch opening around a/c unit so wind blew all night into room. Stay very far away!

We will not stay at this motel again. Pool wasn't open, ice machine didn't work, pop machine was busted, the air conditioner in our room didn't work so had to get a new room, tub didn't drain, phone didn't work. It was not a pleasant experience.

I knew when I had a hard time understanding what they were saying to me and how long I had to wait at the front desk, we were in TROUBLE. The two desk workers had a hard time getting keys and answering the phone AND ANSWERING complaints about ice machine not working etc...sure enough we got what we expected. Sheets were dirty had to ask for a change of sheets..we only had 2 towels asked for more ...we got bath mats...lots of things not working in the hotel. Sad because at one time it looked like it was a nice place..just becoming run down. The breakfast was just fruit loops or biscuts and gravy..fruit or bagels would have been easier and healthier. Oh well we tried not to let it get to us and did sleep well until we were woke up by vacume cleaner by our door early in the morning.

Not the greatest, not the worst. Room was probably done in the 70-80s (at least looked like it, and any original fabric (couch cushions, etc.) showed it. I showed up at 3 p.m. to take a nap, room wasn't ready, but they'd upgraded me to a suite an hour later when I got back. Saw a couple of ants around the sink... Bed, sheets seemed clean though, as did the bathroom (the important stuff, as far as I'm concerned) Like I said, it was okay, not amazing, but probably no worse that most peoples houses. In the end, I mostly just needed a place to sleep...

I enjoyed my stay at the Guest House. For the price it had very nice rooms, that were clean and comfortable. The super 8 was more expensive but not as nice and it was next door. The selling feature that disappointed me was the breakfast. Biscuits and Gravy is really all they had. I was better in the past. If you love Biscuits and Gravy this place is perfect, otherwise its just a inexpensive practical place to stay.

Received the type of service I would normally associate with a run down, off the beaten path motel. The free breakfast offered was awful. Definetly will not stay there again.

This hotel is in poor condition. Light switches were broken. The shower faucet was loose and I had to choose between a hot shower with weak water pressure or a cold shower with strong water pressure. The hallway smelled of curry. I stay in Wichita quite often and this is the worst hotel I have stayed in to date.

It was horrible. The pool wasn't open (96 degrees), both beds were broken. No coffe maker, fridge or microwave. I went cheap and it cost me !!!!!!!!

Place was unsuitable for overnight stay. I was moved four different times because of maintence issues. Every room we moved to was even dirtier then the previous. Please remove this hotel from the list of options as I will never even consider staying there again.

OK, we had a big hassle checking in due to the fact their fax/computers were down. So, it took 45 min to checkin. The staff was very apologetic, and things do happen,so you can't fault them completely. the room was spaciously, clean. The bed was a little hard, but it was ok. The shower was great, the room quiet. We didn't partake of the breakfast because we had an early departure.

We arrived at 12:30 am after reserving a double room. I checked in and he didn't have my reservation and it seemed like it was hard to find. He handed me a key eventually with the help of another kids that arrived in the meantime. The room was king for 4 of us, it smelled, the phone was not plugged in and the three cords coming out of the wall didn't make it work. I arrived at the desk to get another room and there was a key for room 217 sitting on the counter. After taking a long time to find us the correct room, coincidentally he hands me a room key for 217. I expressed my concern that a key for our room was just laying there. There were a lot of young people coming and going at that time of night. Being so late we stuck it out and just slept in our clothes. The breakfast did not look edible and there were only a few items with stryofoam plates. We will never go back!

Facility management very unprofessional, entire facility is worn out and smells of stale cigarette smoke, room was clean but worn out, cable tv was of no entertainment value, bed was like sleeping on plywood. They did have a continental breakfast but all we tried was the coffee witch was instant, if I had not paid for this room in advance I would have moved on, the photo posted on the website had to have been taken many years ago.

Next time I will pay more for a better hotel. A light bulb was flickering and there were bleach stains on carpet. Continental breakfast was very basic. Had to call the front dest twice for extra pillows with a cigarette burn on pillow case.

Needs updating badly.

There was a problem with continuous running water in the toilet, uncomfortable bed, dirty hallways, and broken Internet. I needed to stay 3 days, nothing was fixed. They said the motel was sold to the city, hence nothing was being repaired because the motel is scheduled to be thrown down in 2011. The owners, not the city, took my money and didn't provide the service the said they would.

the property is in need of a total refreshing

I knew it was a cheap hotel, that was a major factor in choosing it for me. But the hotel was poorly lit, and the shower didn't have enough water volume to fill a cup of water--no exaggeration! If I wanted to take a cold shower, I would have been fine on water pressure, but the hot water only trickled--and I do mean trickled. The mattress was firm, though. They did have a complimentary breakfast, as promised. I've seen worse, but I've also seen better.

I like the location and the rooms are fairly nice for the price. My shower/tub didnt drain very well and the bed is firm but other then that its still a pretty good deal

Having stayed at this hotel when it was the Clubhouse Inn and Suites this sty was very,very disapponting.We were used to a very good breakfast,they forgot to put it out.Breakfast was cold biscuts and gravy.Our room had used soap in the shower,the hot tub was broken. We have stayed at this location several times and this stay was terrible. We found out the city of Wichita will be demolishing this hotel due to road construction.This was not worth what we paid.

This Hotel is located on 400 1 exit away from the mall. Situated close to food and groceries. Not within walking distance of tourist attractions. the courtyard has a pool outdoors, a indoor spa and room for kids to play. They allow pets for a modest Pet fee. Our room was clean but had a slight odor, but not horrible. Durring our stay we did not feel unsafe or unwelcome. They employees were kind and helpful. I would stay here again. good hotel for a 1 or 2 night stay.

I asked the desk clerk for a room at the end of a hall that would be quiet. She put us in a room by the outside entry door, pop machine and door to the pool - so we got to listen to lots of people discuss which pop to get, etc. Our room had stained drapes and a couch with large stains on it. While using my laptop in bed, I found an ants running across it several time. Twice, an ant ran across my eyeglasses! When we got up in the morning, we saw that on the table that some fast food containers we had eaten from the night before were covered with literally hundreds of ants. I had noted a sign at the front desk which said if you did not report a problem within 30 minutes of check in, they would not move you to another room or refund your money. Not recommended.

First, I would stay here again. The room was average and needs remodeling, but it provided everything you need for the night. Bed was average, couch was average and the AC was incredible for this very hot summer. All in all it is a old hotel with old furniture, but comfortable. It is one of the rare cases where the price and the service are in line.

the pictures of this hotel are alot different than it really is. This is not a place I would recommend to someone!

If you are looking for a place to lay down your head, relax in the pool and get a decent breakfast this is the place to go. Don't expect anything fancy, but it was clean, quiet and comfy. The staff was pleasant.

Price for comfort, location, cleanliness and condition was great.

Excellent location from the turnpike. Checkin very smooth with a pleasant person behind the desk. Couldn't take advantage of the pool because it was outside and the heat index was about 112*. Sure looked good though.

The room was clean and the hotel staff friendly. Our only issue was an odor coming through the vent in the bathroom. We suspect that someone in the next room was smoking. The bathroom needs an exhaust fan to remove offensive odors. The odor cleared up. We really enjoyed the use of the outdoor pool.
