A beautiful hotel in an old restored train station, this is as unique as it is beautiful. Think Grand Central Station on a smaller scale converted to a hotel. My suite was really a suite, 2 large separate rooms with a door you could close between them, unlike many "suites" in other chain hotels that are simply a large-ish single room. All staff were very friendly and professional; I was really treated like a guest, as in a guest in someone's home, not a customer.

Great staff, beautiful lobby, and comfortable room. I've never done a review, yet felt compelled to give feedback this time.

A lovely hotel; the people couldn't have been nicer. Very high quality throughout.

We loved this hotel and wished we could have stayed longer. Staff couldn't have been more attentive. They were very obliging and upgraded us when we had problems with TV in original room. We were just sorry that, because we were staying over Christmas, that we didn't manage to try the restaurant - the menu looked superb

If you're into history and trains - this is a great place to hang out for a bit. The hotel was lovely and the staff was outstanding. The room was very small and unfortunately - the heat in my room wouldn't go above 65 - and it was a frigid night - so it was a bit uncomfortable. There also appeared to be some malfunction in the bathroom with a portion of the ceiling falling thru.... Overall - it was an interesting place to see - but not a great place to spend the night - especially for the pricey rate....

This was a beautiful hotel. I think because we booked through another comapny other than them. we were put in a pretty small room. the room was small but beatuful. Everything was great!

You know when you spend the first hour walking around and taking pictures that you are in a special place. That's the Union Station in Nashville. Beautiful, historic and convenient to all the great live music downtown.

I can not say in mere words how happy we where with all the sevice at this hotel head and shoulders above the rest

A very beautiful hotel and within walking distance to what we wanted to do. The staff were more than helpful.

This hotel was fabulous...Lauren at the desk was wonderful in assisting us with tickets to a Lady Antebellum concert at the Ryman Theatre that was incredible...Tom at the door so gracious...the hotel staff as a whole were extremely helpful...I feel it was worth the money we paid...only downside was no shuttle service to or from airport...for the cost the hotel should provide this as it is only 15 min away...otherwise we would totally recommend this old/new hotel to anyone...very historical with great charm...

I stayed here just one night while attending a concert at the Ryman which is only 5 blocks away. The staff was extremely courteoous, friendly and helpful. The grand lobby area is absolutely spectacular! There is so much to see just in that area alone. I was traveling alone so I don't know if I was assigned my room based on that, or based on how the room was booked. In any case, I was given one of the "attic" rooms on the 7th floor. I call it the "attic" room because it had a slanted ceiling, a/k/a the roof, and small windows pointed skyward. You can see which rooms I am talking about if you look at a picture of the outside of the hotel. The room was ok size-wise for 1 person and it was nicely appointed with decor that appeared to be from that national chain hardware/decor store. But the tv was to the side of the bed so it actually hurt to watch it. The bath area was large, but very poorly lit, and very COLD. There were only two small lights, one over the vanity and one inside the shower. The toilet area is completely dark. The lighted mirror did not work in the vanity area. The room was also next to an employees-only room and it was kind of noisy in there. I'm guessing the other rooms aren't like this, so I'll just say I don't recommend staying in an "attic" room on the 7th floor. The other rooms are probably just fine. I certainly don't feel I got my money's worth with this room and if I ever stay there again, I will absolutely not accept one of these rooms.

Beautiful, needs a coffee shop in lobby or near by.

This is a very beautiful hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. With the other choices near Broadway in Nashville I would not stay here again. I booked this hotel thinking that it was more than it is. A lobby, small overpriced bar, small overpriced restaurant, and your room. That's it. I'm glad that I had a deal when I booked, if I had paid full price I would have been upset. Definitely stop by the hotel to check out the lobby. The architecture of the building is very beautiful. Maybe Wyndam will add more features someday.

Great location but the trains can be loud if your room is near the tracks. We liked the Flying Saucer bar located adjacent to the Hotel.

At breakfast the waitress asked if I would like another glass of juice. I said yes. When the bill arrived I saw I was charged another four dollars. I asked the waitress (who was the height of professionalism throughout this whole exchange) to express my displeasure to the management. I assumed the hotel would simply tke the four dollars off the bill. The restaurant manager approached the table holding a menu and stared at me. I looked up at her. I was surprised she decided to speak with me at all. I was even more tsken aback by her silent stare. What's the problem? she said. I was surprised by her tone. Most staff - and especailly in a high end hotel - avoid using the word problem and insteand ask how they can help the customer. I explained that I thought it was a little pricey to be charged eight dollars for a glass of wine and a refill. The manager expalined that they did not set the prices. She said there must be a misunderstanding. I explained that I had received refills of coffee and I was not charged for that. The manager tapped the menu and said the price of the juice was in the menu. I agreed that it was and that so was the price of the coffee in the menu. She tapped the menu again and repeated that the prices were in the menu. I reminded her that we were guests in the hotel. I was astonished at her tapping the menu as if she was explaining herself to a slow child. The manager said she would take the four dollars off the bill but again she did not set the prices and she was sorry if the waitress misled me. I said the waitress did not mislead me - the waitress was excellent. She smiled coldy throughout this encounter. She said she hoped everything was okay. I said I was shocked that she - as manager - felt the need to come to the table and explain the menu to a guest. It was about four dollars. I can afford that - just as the hotle can afford not to gouge its customers. I live commute from Kentucky to Nashville and on to New York. I do business in Nashville a

Despite the general elegant look of the exterior, the hotel's old and dated interior were quite disappointing. The hotel was loud and that includes the insanely loud air conditioning system, the crew doing repairs at 7am and the trains that pass right by your window. Do not stay at this hotel is you expect a quite stay and a good night sleep. Also, beware that there are two full floors of rooms that are below street level and offer view of the overpass and construction containers.

Walls are thin so you can hear neighboring rooms really well but other than that loved the hotel. Loved the service and loved the atmosphere.

The service was great. We arrived on our motorcycle and it was raining. The valie out front directed us under the awining to stay dry. Our motorcycle stayed parked there all during our vist. The hotel people were great and made us confturble.

We had a conference at the hotel - The building and rooms are lovely. Staff was charming and helpful. Keep in mind this was a train station and there are a few times at night when trains are moving through the yard. Overall a great place to stay in Nashville if you want some history and charm.

Great location-near downtown! Fulfilled our request of putting a refrigerator in our room!

The staff was very nice. Very small room for the price, not much bathroom space to put stuff on. No bathroom countertop. The hotel bar service was superb. The food was five star presentation, and five star flavor. Try the crab cakes. Great service in a hotel that can only offer small rooms but luxurious bedding and great location. If you only want to sleep at the hotel it won't dissapoint. Short safe walk to all the action in downtown Nashville.

This is a really nice hotel with lots of character. The lobby is really fantastic and the hotel service is wonderful. However, the walls between rooms are paper thin. My husband and I were woken both mornings of our stay by our neighbors talking to each other (not yelling...just talking), and if your room is below the main level (floors 1 and 2) the view is non-existent. Our view was of a scaffolding covered in pigeon poop. Location wise, it is within walking distance of Bridgestone Arena and the Ryman, but you definitely have to drive to get to any of the cuter, smaller shop areas. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but would probably not stay here again.

We had fully paid for our reservation at this hotel prior to getting there. Our flight was delayed for 3 hours and although we called from the airport to informed them that our flight was delayed and they said no problem you have a confirmed room; When we arrived we where told that our room was not available and that they were booked solid. They were going to put us up at a hotel near the airport. However, at the last moment, the manager came up to us and told us that there was a last minute cancellation, he apologized for the inconvenience and we got our room after all. This was of great relief after a very hard and long trip. Once we got settled in, the staff was great. We are world travelers and the architecture and interior design of this hotel is at the top of our list.

A beautiful, charming hotel in a fabulous & convenient neighborhood. Staff was helpful and attentive. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I visited the hotel befote'and this time I choose to stay for one night the hotel as a historic place isall ready an atraction and pasing the night did not disapointed beds are clean and soft nice bath room I had a corner room so Ihad the full view of the tracks and the city watch out from train noise during the day but to my surprise no problems at night and even for doutfull person like me The stuff was very helpfull and I recieved earplugs so noproblem to sleep hotel is clean and close to downtown friendly stuff great stay

The hotel is a converted rairoad sytation with a marvelous gallery ceiling in the lobby with stained glass. The hotel is impressive. The only problem I encountered was that the HVAC was a little funky. The room was either cold, or uncomfortably humid.

That's all that need be said. Nice hotel. Too nice by FAR to have no A/C in the room. Alerted staff about it.. they 'fixed' it... but that was apparently not a real fix as around 4am it was a sauna in there again. offered to let us change rooms... but at 4:30 am, that wasn't all that great of an option either. BIG thumbs down on this spot.

The main lobby is very impressive and the overall hotel is an amazing old building but the the room left a little to be desired. Our room only had a full size bed which in this day and age is not just big enough when there is only one bed in the room. The bathroom is functional, but the pedstal sink leaves no room for your "stuff." Ladies beware, be sure to ask for a bathroom with a counter.

Beautifully restored 1900 train station fashioned into hotel. Great staff, very helpful and accomodating. Room was very clean, well appointed and comfortable. Proxomity to train lines added to the historic romance and charm of travel days gone by. Close to all attractions and restaurants. Hope we can stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Union Station in Downtown Nashville. Hotel has been converted from a train station. Trains still run by the hotel. The hotel is beautiful with alot of ornate design including stained glass ceiling. Unique restaurant with excellent food. Location is very close to nightlife and has easy access to highway.

Lovely historic property ---well maintained--professional staff, but no concierge, so go prepared with things to do ---be mindful of staying having a room next to the train tracks, since there is train activity and noise several times during the night. Didn't bother me, but could be disrupt one's sleep.

Had a ball at the beautiful Union Station. Rooms were perfect, historic feel of hotel is amazing, service is excellent. Heads up: some of the single rooms have bathrooms with no door. We called the front desk and they gave us a room with a bathroom door. We had a wonderful time.

As we appreciated the location of the hotel and the historic nature of the building, I was overall pleased with the stay at this hotel. I would however suggest that charging over three dollars for coffee, per cup, is a bit much, since the coffee pot in the room left a lot to be desired. Spending this much for a hotel room and not receiving coffee on a complimentary basis is a bit disappointing. Seems like a small detail but huge when you are a coffee drinker. Need to change that policy.

Great location. Cool room. Amazing foyer. Good food. I highly recommend this hotel.
