A great stay - staff were wonderful and helpful. I had a sore throat and the staff in restaurant went to extreme lengths to organise chamomile tea and options that would be easy to eat. - Thank you. The room was great (may be noisy on busy week days with busy road behind us) - just needed a few small maintenance issues which we left a note about in the hotel. Nice and spacious and the bed was good too. Had good night and would recommend it.

Staff friendly and attentive. They didn't have a brand of drink that I asked for so they went out and got a bottle. Room basic but we were only staying one night. Family get together was well catered for and the food was very good. I am coeliac and they were excellent in changing menu items to suit. They had choices of gluten free cereals for breakfast as well as gluten free bread.

A very spacious hotel, only 2 stories high. Our family room was on the ground floor and had 2 King size beds and a single bed rather than the double bed plus sofa bed we'd expected. Bonus! Staff were welcoming and friendly, called to ask if everything was ok and responded immediately to faulty kettle. Quiet location with very little road noise. Comfortable beds and good breakfast.

the hotel is within easy walking distance to the town centre

We had a fine 2 night stay here with both breakfast & evening meals supplied. All meals were excellent with a fine pleasant staff serving. The room was spacious, clean and with modern t.v etc. We would stay here again if required, No problem.

I would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel .Staff really pleasant great breakfast, restaurant food brilliant, and close to the town centre.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and would recommend it to others. The staff are very friendly and courteous and a special mention to Katie on the front reception as she is very friendly and efficient at what she does.

Lovely location, lobby area, piano playing as you walk in. Negatives needing attention: Toilet was flooded shoes feet wet in ladies, chair broken in room, tiles getting mouldy (quite common without fans in bathrooms), holes in walls, and tv a nightmare to work. Staff were helpful and attentive. It is not their fault that the hotel maintenance of the rooms and surrounding areas have not been kept to a standard. They will not win no matter how much they smile! I am used to mid range Premier Inn style and only use other nrands when not convenient. They have so much to offer restaurant, atmosphere etc that they are losing the opportunity to WOW!

We travel a lot both in this country and USA and we find Menzies exceptional this is dining at it's best meals were delightful, service perfect, very high standard. Nice to have staff that speaks English not found often as we find in London and many other places that the staff are foreign and do not speak English so this was an added bonus. Will definately stay again. And a big thanks to Head waiter and hius staff. Rooms very clean in fact all was perfect.

my stay at the hotel was really amazing ..staff were very helpfull told us all about the locations about ayrshire ie the harbourside really mad us feel at home..the rooms were bueatifull and tydey extreamly comfortable place to stay bathroom was extreamly clean..tea and coffee o offer when needed..over all was the lovleyest hotel ive had the pleasure to stay made my whole weeked great..would defenetly be back again and recomed to friends and family..and price was exellent for two people..

Hotel.com's reduced price was a realistic tariff for this hotel. Would not be happy to pay the normal tariff for the level of service, standard of decor and comfort, or the location. Service was a little slow in both the restaurant and at the bar. Food was of a very good standard, with a good variety in the menu. Breakfast was excellent value. The room was tastefully decorated, clean and had all mod-cons. The TV set-up was a little complicated and guests who are not willing to pay extra for movies are very limited to the no. of channels available. Don't expect a room with a view, unless you are a golf fan. Easy to find location, using sat-nav/map and handy for main roads. All-in-all, a pleasant stay, at a reasonable price through hotel.com. Would recommend for golf fans or for a quick overnight stay.

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the past few years and always have a very satisfactory stay. On this occasion we benefitted from a get-away deal with one dinner included. This meal was first class, as was the quality of the breakfast buffet - obviously good ingedients and an excellent chef. The staff are most attentive - all in all a very comfortable 2 nights in a very convenient location for exploring the lovely west of Scotland

We have stayed at this hotel before so we know what to expect, we were not dissapointed, The staff are so agreeable its a pleasure to stay at the hotel. My only slight concern with the weather getting warmer,mabe air conditioning could be availabl. that apart a great stay.

This was a booking for my birthday from my partner. We have never stayed in the area before but found the hotel and staff to be great and thoroughly enjoyed out time spent here. We spent a day at Ayr which is not far away and would recommend the hotel to family and friends.
