My Son Got my Husband and I this room for 1 night as we were at a Concert all evening.I will # what was wrong.1. Well the Afternoon Gentleman that checked me in told me there would be a $5.00 Resort Fee.Then come to Find Out they R holding $50.00 on my CC.to make sure the room was ok. 2. Then 1 there is NO Smoking in the Rooms which is Great as I dont smoke inside at home.But there Are NO Ashtrays on the Balcony so U can put U cigarettes out in so I grab a Glass and put them in it as when u look over the Balcony its Nasty as everybody throws them over ,YUCKY!. 3. There Is NO FAN In the Handi-capp Bathroom and the Floors R Very Slick.4. The Hadi-capp seat that U would Sit on take a Shower was All Mildewed and I would Not Even Shower in it. NASTY.Overall I would Rate My 1 Stay about A 2 ,THIS MOTEL NEEDS ALOT OF WORK AND NEEDS TO BE CLEANED UP GOOD.

I was a little disappointed after seeing the reviews for this hotel, but was relived when I got there. It is not a new place, by any means, but for what they are chargins, it was satisfactory. They had what we needed, other than a newspaper, and it served its purpose. We had a safe place to sleep. There was a bonus of walking out on our balcony in the morning, overlooking the pool and watching ducks play....in the pool. It was a very peaceful, inexpensive stay that had room service.

This hotel seemed nice enough on the outside until we took the trip to our room. The room seemed to be clean enough, but the condition of it was definitely below par. That night there was a giant roach crawling on our curtains when we came back from dinner, and needless to say it was hard to sleep after that. There is a "gym" which housed equipment so old that one of the treadmill's belts was ripped. Even with all of the things wrong with the hotel the staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. The pool outside was nice, and the hotel was fairly close to everything. All in all I would have to say I wouldn't go back unless they did some major remodeling. Sorry!

I think the hotel needs a bigger sign, more signs, or relocated the pole sign. For the rest very good. I would recommend it.

The entrance and poolside looked beautiful. It used to be a Ramada hotel so it has many signs all around the lobby with old perks like Arcade but, there was nothing there! The first night the AC broke down. There was mold everywhere and the beds were very uncomfortable. We asked to get another room but, they were all booked. They fixed the ac but , there were no rooms that were any better. The ceiling stucco was literally falling onto our clothes and hair. The ac was not fixed and we finally had it! We left and booked somewhere else for the remainder of our vacation.Do not stay here you can find better and cheaper hotels than this! It's gross!

This hotel is outdated, they gave our room away and put us in a handicapped room with a rollaway bed. THEY RAN OUT OF PILLOWS AND ICE!!!!! The are extremely homophobic and RUDE

My first issue was trying to get a last minute urgent fax sent and the Front Desk agent, George W., tried 19 times! to send my fax. He finally got it through. Then the next day I had a medical emergency and the hotel was very accommodating securing and holding my room, continuing my original room rate, and helping me during my hotel stay until I could make my flight out. This type of service has never been matched for me before.

First checked in to my room and the bed wasnt made up..and there was dust all behind the mattress...moved us to another room.... there were no wash rage the whole 3 night we were there..management Wendi stated we would have some later and never recieved any... there were plumbing problems... took ten min to seat us for breakfast..this was the worst hotel i have ever stayed at...

Nice Hotel, alittle old and outdated and the sheets were not so good. But still overall good.

It was an awful experience. first they did not have no ice, then have no accessories like tooth brush and things of that nature. You can hear babies from 30 rooms down. Not what I expected.

Great hotel, beautiful interior and staff

now I understand why they took a back picture of the hotel and left it on the site because that is the best picture, when you first walked in to the hotel you will notice it is very clean and very nice looking when you check in and you go to your room the rooms need a major major major remodeling program the rooms look terrible the furniture is garbage furniture is old is been painted with a paintbrush the carpet looks terrible the beds are fairly decent the air conditioners needs servicing , now I move on to the bathrooms the ceiling is peeling the sink in the bathroom is chipped and it was painted with an appliance paint that doesn't even match, the toilet was leaking because apparently the maintenance team on site whoever they are does not know how to do their job and either fix the plug or readjust the float arm to stop the toilet from leaking water, dave the bartender was very nice a little standoffish but overall a very good gentleman through everything, the new guy at the desk just thought I was crazy when I asked him I would like to see the room before I checked in if it wasn't so late for us getting there so late I would of went ahead and back out and went to another hotel because the non smoking room smells like smoke, the people at the front desk of checking in needs a little bit better manners in a little bit better customer service but I don't blame them I blame the management team because you get out of a hotel what you put into it apparently the hotel didn't put in a good management.

When we got there, we discovered that the hotel room with two queens that we booked over the internet was unavailable so they gave us a "kid suite" with one queen and bunk beds. Luckily there were only two of us so we shared the queen. Overall, it wasn't too bad. However, if you have kids, the bunk beds are as hard as rocks. The light was out in the bunk bed room too so we couldn't see hardly anything in there. The food was so so in the lobby. It wasn't the greatest thing in the world but it wasn't horrible. The main thing that I disliked was the fact that our shower and tub were completely clogged up. Also, the elevator was not working very well. We hit the button several times and it just never showed up at all.

I reserved two non-smoking rooms and I was offered a smoking room because there were no more avaliable. I was very disapointed. The rug was dirty and old.

I guess 1st impression is everything. The "hotel" (I thought it was an apartment complex from the hood) already has an unsafe feeling when we first arrived. The receptionist didn't help either, she was working on the computer, I stood in-line, she's working on the computer, I was the only one in line, the phone ring, she answered, laughing, speaking spanish. A ha !! she noticed me, continue talking on the phone and laughing, asking the person on the phone to hold, FINALLY "can I help you?". Overall, sadly run hotel, if a paying customer stands there for 10 minutes before helping him then I don't think it's empty because of the bad economy. Walking down the hallway, I have an erie feeling and thought of the movie" the shining". The room is just a square box with a bed and a TV. I think the owner already give up on the property.

The smell is awful as soon as you walk in the doors. I got to my room and there was stains everywhere and it looked like the hotel was falling apart. I talked to the front desk and I viewed other rooms and they were all they same. I will never stay there again!!

Look...we got a great deal, got to see SC beat up Nebraska and have a clean room. No problems at all.

As this property was previously a sprawling Ramada Inn, it was very appealing upon approach. Now I know this is where you are expecting the "BUT". Not the case here. Entrance into the hotel was very eye catching. I will say whomever has bought this property has a lot of work to do in making use of the elements still left behind from Ramada. There was what looked like a make shift gift shop in plain view across the room with tacky dayglo cardboard discount signs. The empty ice cream bar (which seems like a nice idea) could be utilized in a multipurpose way I'm sure, was just an empty and sad area. The restaurant downstairs, which seems as though it was once visually very appealing with its windows facing a very detailed and nice pool area, was now filled with old carpet that needed replacing, not very nice looking furniture and less than up to date decorations. It looked as if they were just barely capitalizing (and investing) on the full use and potential of this element and space. I'd like to add, when asking the desk attendant where ice could be found I was pointed to blue food grade portable cooler at the bottom of the restaurant stairs which contained one gallon zip-loc bags of ice. Again the size of the structure and amount of rooms was remarkable. I suppose it seems a private entity or group now owns it and I believe if they invest in updated modern carpeting throughout, replacing years of un-sightly and poor patches of carpeting and dry wall, updated lighting it would have a greater appeal. The beds seemed decent, the entertainment (Television) department was okay. The television itself was a modern flat screen however the medium which programming was provided left a lot to be desired. Most hotels use the same hideous guest service format with the ability to purchase ala carte programming ie; movies, music etc. The free portion of broadcast channels was not complete channels listed were not working or broadcast throughout the system. The staff was a diffe

better than expected from reading other reviews. Had to move room since heat didn't work, but 2nd room was fine for the money.

I book this hotel because it was supposed to be very near the venue I was coming in town for, and it happened to be cheap. That should have been the warning. Cheap it was, close to the venue, or anything else for that matter, it was not. The front desk was happy to call me a cab to take me downtown, which was about five miles away. When I got in, there was no meter, and the driver informed me the the charge would be $23. Really, I said. $23 for five miles? But I paid since I didn't have much choice. Once I had gotten to my destination, and spent a few hours on the town, I then hailed a cab on the street to take me back. It was $12, with the tip. Ok, so the hotel has a racket going with a car service. Lesson learned. I can over look things like that, but the hotel itself looked like it hadn't been remodeled, or cleaned for that matter in a good 10-15 years. There were stains on the hallway carpets, the entire hotel had a strange smell, and the staff wasn't very welcoming or friendly for that matter. I was scheduled to stay for three nights, but checked out after the first. Honestly, I've stayed at sketchy roadside motels that were WAY better than that place.

The website lists this hotel as being .6 miles from Citrus Bowl, which is why I chose this hotel over others due to the close proximity to the venue. It was, in fact, 2.4 miles from the venue, causing expenses to be a lot more because then had to get a cab for the rides. Neighborhood was SCARY!!! Upon arrival, went to desk to ask about early check in as had arrived on flight that landed at 11:30am, check in not until 3pm. Was not offered to have bags stored so could attend event. Had to sit at hotel for 3 hours waiting to check in. At 2:45, went to desk to see if very unfriendly desk clerk would make it "close enough" to check in time. I was the 3rd person in line. Second desk clerk was late, housekeeping had not turned over rooms by 3pm, and it took 40 minutes to finally get the keys to my room. This particular desk clerk was not prepared, not friendly, and very disorganized for the amount of people she had turned away early. The rudeness of this desk clerk put such a bad taste in my mouth over this hotel. Add to that the misrepresentation of the actual distance to a venue, it was a disappointment on many levels. The rooms were fairly clean for an older property, the smell was not good, and it was very disturbing that the housekeeper assigned to my floor did not speak any english, making asking for coffee way more difficult than it had to be.

the hotel was nice clean and big, but i didn't like the confusing access to the highway at first then i got used to it. also the drive to walt disney was about 20min or soo.. the room look like same style for a long time but it was well maintaineau. i recommened this for the price i paid. the only extra charge i had to pay 5$ each day was the access for the phone and it was maintiory from the hotel policy.

This hotel was probably very nice 20 years ago. It is in need of manitenace and upgrades. The web site is misleading, showing photos from when it first opened in the 1980s. Would not return. On a good note, location to downtown Orlando is ideal. A 5 minute cab ride at best.

Hated ut

Hotel was nasty and run down. Then I got switcxhed to another room that was just as bad. Asked to speak to the manager and he didn't even try to talk to me about the room. Steer clear of this one.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Our only mistake was not getting a car for the first few days we stayed. It wasn't within walking distance of anything except McDonalds and IHOP and since it rained for a day and a half we weren't leaving the hotel. The staff was pleasant and we had an especially good time at the bar with "Gus"

Orlando Grand Hotel is close to all of the parks. The room was nice and at a good price.

The hotel was great. I was travelling alone and felt very safe in the parking lot and in the hotel The front desk PM personnel were very helpful. Every employee greeted me anytime I met anyone. Very clean. Thanks for taking care of me. Diana

You couldn't beat it for the money, clean and inexpensive and minutes away from the Amway!

The hotel i not the newest, but it is well kept, and the room I stayed in was very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom shower head was big and old, not waht you expect in a hotel, but it worked just fine. Overall, pleasant place to stay.

i booke on this site. got there at 10 pm and they would not let me check in unless I initialed the rsort fee. I told them my room was laready book and they were adament. Signed in protest. we checked out at 7am and they knew it.

This hotel was absolutely terrible So bad that even though we didn't arrive until 2am and have 2 children under the age of 4, we refused to spend the night in the place and drug our 2 sleepy babies to the Double Tree. To name a few reasons, the place was dirty, the toilet didn't work, there were hairs all over the bathroom floor (which appeared to be of the pubic nature,) the air conditioning unit was moldy and made a very LOUD noise when turned on, there were multiple stains on the carpet, the kids beds (bunk beds) had no covers on them, the covers that were on our bed were stained, the elevator leading to our room was broken so we had to walk up stairs, there was some kind of very large water leak outside so there was a "waterfall" of some sort pouring off of the roof into the parking lot, which meant the parking lot was flooded, and this just to name a few reasons why we loaded up the kids, marched down to the front desk and demanded our money back. Granted, they were quick to meet our refund request, so I will give them credit for that. I guess the old saying "you get what you pay for" applies here, but I'll tell you, they couldn't have paid me to stay there!!!
